Kudos, Dittos And The Indifference Of Dildos

She told me my green urine was disgustingly vulgar
And she found my mere mention of it to be distasteful
Forget about the fact that I made reference to it only
As a metaphor to describe the facts as they be
In that man can waste his time popping supplements
From Vitamin A tabs to caps of Zinc
And yet nothing is as healthy for the body
As what his mind ingest from a daily diet of God’s word….
This is why I don’t write for the kudos
But I am made stronger by the dittos I receive
When two or more among us come together and agree

An Intruder 5

But I wanted to be sure so I called my next door neighbor-
Not really a friend, but whose advice I entertain from time to time.
'Look, ' she said, 'there are plenty better things to worry about-
Every day more and more, thanks to people's gullibility,
And the disaster mentality created by the press.
(Daphne is fiercely anti-media) Haven't you noticed?
E.G. the same supplements that were said to promote longevity, yesterday
(And which cost an arm and a leg at the health food store, not incidently)
Now will kill you. Take anti-oxidants, for example. Take vitamin E.'
'Take what? ' I asked, not following.
'Surprise! ' People who take vitamin E die sooner. It's been shown.
The whole thing's a scam, cooked up by the pharmaceutical industry, for...'
I didn't know. But it made sense, now she mentioned it.
'You're sure? '
'Sure.'
'But what should I do? '
'Just eat a balanced diet.'
'I mean about the pigeon.'
'Oh, that. Forget it. I'm glad it's not my problem. I detest pigeons.
There's nothing you can do about it, anyway.'
'Maybe I shouldn't fret it.'
'I didn't say THAT. Just choose your obsessions carefully
so as not to waste time.'
That seemed very fair. 'What do you worry about? , I asked,

'Right now? The Greenland Ice Sheet. It's melting, ya' know.
Look, gotta run.' Click.

Weep Day

I never went to the tropical island
Though everybody said they saw me there
And it wasnt me you punched a hole in
At the west german protest march
Simultaneous events dont happen
We are isolated temporally
And a part is never called the whole thing
Though it bothers us to know its so
Every man is made of two opinions
Every woman has a second half
And its samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man (samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man)
Yes, its samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man (samba time for tambo and weep day for urine man)
I didnt write the words you hear me singing (didnt write the words you hear me singing)
I didnt sing the line before this one (didnt sing the line before this one)
You are not the one I was addressing (you are not the one I was addressing)
That person took a train to africa (africa)
Where he met the consulate from belgium
Who is now a buddhist in a cave
Who is pitching for the oakland raiders
Striking out the batter she became
Every man is made of two opinions

Vitamin B

Oh vitamin B, how I've missed you,
My body has long been bereft
Of your strange but miraculous power
To keep a man healthy and blessed.

I've always done all in my power
To do, for my body, the best,
But lately the Doc' found a problem
That showed up in blood put to test.

She sent me to see a Consultant
To see what was giving me grief,
It wasn't my lack of attention,
Or a lack of my eating my beef;

No, it looks like my stomach is failing,
At times, with regard to it's job
Of extracting the nourishment out of my food,
So lovingly sent from my gob.

It's Vitamin B (of the twelfth kind)
The deficiency of, that's to blame
For my serious dropp in performance,
For my body's not playing the game.

So now I must go for injections
And try, all my worries, to shelve;
I've got to be off to the Doctor again
To top up on old V.B.12.

Eight weeks and eight jabs is my portion
Then hopefully all will be well;
And the remedy coursing inside me
Will soon be ringing my bell.

So if you my dear reader are ailing yourself,
If you're listless and tired, like me,
Be off to your Doctor tomorrow - Go on!
And load up with Vitamin B.

Time knows nothing except

Time knows nothing except
what lies in moments past.
If I could make these moments last
you may know
why I love you
but mere words
are never enough
to tell you.

No explanations really do explain
why there’s winter rain
out of season

and what have made
your heart frozen
while the sun still shines

and what have made
your feelings come back again
and the sun go on its way
to another day

and I cannot tell you
and neither do you know
where our lives
are going to go.

Red roses will flower again
and be given to you
by someone

and if I may
I will still love you
and time will know nothing
except to say
I have told you so.

God Made Me Strong

GOD made me strong
Man made me weak
Though those facts I grew and knew
Then a woman she made me weep.
GOD gave me the strength
To grow into a Man
To battle my strife and hold onto my life
To then become the best that I can.
Man is all that I am
As I live in a world of man
And to ask for more than what's held in store
And to see what I started and what I have began.
A woman then I did take
To hold and trust and to become my wife
To erase my tears as she stole my fears
Now together as one we live our life.
Now someday on my tomb they will write
The words that I have searched
That in my time and through my mind
That a mere woman caused me to curse.

Reminded me of the blue skies,

Body Architects

i'm starting from scratch
i'm putting the pieces together
day by day.. one by one.. i'm the only one
my surroundings affect the structure.. of my state of mind
just when you think everything is fine
the foundation cracks... in a fraction of time
so look in the mirror.. it doesn't lie

we... we all forget
that we're the architects of the bodies we inhabit
we... we all forget
that we're the architects of the bodies we inhabit

i skipped the school of the learned for the... majority
but i figured it out the hard way.. my own way.. the only way
and it made me stronger... bigger than the rest
i'm the architect that knows my body best

we... we all forget
that we're the architects of the bodies we inhabit
we... we all forget
that we're the architects of the bodies we inhabit

we rock the party that rocks the body!!

we... we all forget
that we're the architects of the bodies we inhabit
we... we all forget
that we're the architects of the bodies we inhabit

A Healthy Body Means A Healthy Mind

Everybody wants
A healthy body
A compassionate heart
A fine smooth mind
A skin that glows
Hairs that are soft
And freely flow
As smooth as silk
As soft as a cloud
The one who has them
Makes him feel proud
To have a body like this
One does not have to do
Anything special
Has to develop
The habit of excercise
Do not eat food
That is junk and greasy
Respect and preserve
The gift god has given to you
Take Care of your body
The body shall keep you
And your heart happy
Throughout your life
Disease
Shall not come
Near you
Love your body
It shall love you
Never forget
A healthy body means
A healthy mind

Woman And Poetry

writing poems together

with that woman is so much fun

i write mine, (i am much better than that woman)

i ask her to read my poems she obliges with her spectacles

as she opens her mouth to syllabicate

i gulp some saliva to my mouth

this woman is terrible

she makes me giggle

i have her word for word i have her metaphor per metaphor

there is no time to discuss

i like her to undress this time

i'll take the magic of her word

this time i will open my mouth

this time i will read all of her

i will not discuss i will not understand

i will just feel these metaphors

this mouth this tongue this body

this most important poetry

this love this lust this moment

after we have written

our poems together.

Understanding the mind of a young woman

You cannot understand the mind of a young woman
Its like a religion
Facts and myths are told
Always beyond comprehension

You will figure out the facts
Small, little facts
Through the years of being together
Yet when you gather
Will your fellow man
(O so much better!)
Every single fact you tell is different from another
A man will tell a fact of a woman,
another man will say it is not true
And tell them his own facts
In which another argument will pursue

I shall explain more simply
Why it is pointless to understand the mind of a young woman
Because all women are different!
Men have the same mind
Women are individuals
She has her own feelings, experiences-
Secrets…

The mind of women is not for men to know
Because it is ours alone
Only women possess this gift
Or curse some may call it

To understand the mind of a woman
You must be one of our own
So if you wish to be one of our own
You may ask us, the secrets of a woman

If not
Don’t even try

It's Like That

There were many shadows,
From time to time...
In my mind,
Just hiding there...
In those crevices and cracks.

There were many shadows,
Wearing hats and caps...
And their faked grins...
Following me,
Like that.

There were many shadows,
Seen in my mind.
Shadows I'd see behind,
Other shadows...
Keeping me awake.
I could not shake them.

With messages to deliver.
Messages for me...
To pay attention.
And...
That's a fact.

People get the message,
Just like that.
And berate it with attitude.
People get the message,
Like that.
People get the message,
Like that.
Yet berated it with attitude.
And...
It's like that.
Open your eyes to facts.
And, it's like that.
That's a fact.

Wishing to stay abused and confused...
There are people just like that.
And that's a fact.

People get the message,
Just like that.
But they believe that they can pay...
To have things done their way,
And...
People get the message,
Just like that.
And too late...
That's a fact.

People get the message,
Just like that.
And berate it with attitude.
Wishing to stay abused and confused...
Just like that.
And that's a fact.

There were many shadows,
From time to time...
In my mind,
Just hiding there...
In those crevices and cracks.

There were many shadows,
Wearing hats and caps...
And their faked grins...
Following me,
Like that.

People get the message,
Like that..
But berated it with attitude.
And...
Today we see it living.
With moody blues to choose,
And...
It's a fact.
It's like that.

Word Made Flesh

Suck my breast, I'm the word made flesh
Ain't no rest for the word made flesh
My lips are moving but I hear no sound
It's that same old noise, it's in sensurround
Tune yourself up and count yourself down
Word made flesh, word made flesh
Lord help me rise to this occasion
Word made, word made flesh
I've been toiling so hard in the vineyard
Pay your debts to the word made flesh
East meets west in the word made flesh
I see you talking, but I still can't hear
Like a box of glass blocking off my ears
Turn off the charm and prey on your fears
Brainless pests for the word made flesh
Wall Street desks curse the word made flesh

Aint That Unusual

Could you talk to me
Honestly?
cause I never heard a word you said now
And I aint just being mean
cause all we are is what were told
And most of thats been lies
Its like a made for tv movie
And I just blew my line
Someday you never made it
And maybe it never will
Hey, you never made it
And aint that unusual?
Now I feel unknown
And its safe that way
Are you too bored to care or too dumb to be scared now?
Whats that supposed to mean?
Im burned out on some empty reasons
Another waste of time
Theres somethin that I wish Id said
But I dont think itd rhyme
Chorus
See Id love to be you
Then at least then Id see you
Sorry I put them words in your mouth
But you wouldnt talk to me
Hey!
Everything I want I havent got
Im sick of everything I know Im not
Put my heavy coat on for a while
Its freezing in the corner of my mind

Grapefruit Diet

Whos that waddlin down the street
Its just me cause I love to eat
Fudge and twinkies and deviled ham
Whos real flabby? yes, I am!
Every picture of mes
Gotta be an aerial view
Now my doctor tells me
Theres just one thing left to do
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
Throw out the pizza and beer
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
Oh, get those jelly donuts out of here
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
Might seem a little sever
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
Im gettin tired of my big fat rear
Blow, fatty!
Well, I used to live on chocolate sauce
Made sumo wrestlers look like kate moss
Walked down an alley and I got stuck
I got more rolls than a pastry truck
When Im all done eating
I eat a little more
When I leave a room
First I gotta grease the door
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
Cant have another eclair
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
I gotta decrease my derriere
Im on a grapefruit diet
Im on a grapefruit diet
Im on a grapefruit diet
No more pie now
No more creme brulee
Lay off the gravy
And souffle
No french fri-yi-yies now
No ice cream parfait
Mr. cheese nacho
Stay away
Oh I think Id sell my soul
For a triple patty melt
But I need a boomerang
When I put on my belt
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
Lay off the 3 musketeers
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
Until my big booty disappears
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
Eat em till theyre comin out of my ears
Grapefruit diet (diet!)
cause I havent seen my feet in years
Im on a grapefruit diet
Im on a grapefruit diet
Im on a grapefruit diet
I think Im about ready for a quarter pounder with extra cheese
I need a side order of onion rings
And dont forget to super-size that

Switches, Pop, And Persimmon Rockets

I remember, well, that tall old persimmon
That stood in the yard, when I was a lad
The soft fruit that fell from that tall old persimmon
When picked up and eaten, what sweetness, it had

It didn’t take long to eat up all the ripe ones
And then what was left laying under the tree
Was firm, shiny fruit that resembled green apples
And it seemed it should also be tasty, to me

I picked up a big one and brushed off the dirt
Then sunk my teeth in its flesh, firm and green
My mouth puckered up like a prune in the sun
I found that persimmons aren’t tasty when green

My brothers and I and the neighbors as well
Would play in its shade most all the day long
Softball or horseshoes or cowboys and Indians
It didn’t much matter ‘cause life was a song

Since no one could eat those hard green persimmons
We wondered if use for such fruit could be found
While playing one day, through a sheer stroke of genius
A discovery was made of gargantuan bounds

Right there on the ground we made our discovery
A single use switch that my pop made me cut
And once he had finished the job it was cut for
He dropped it right there where I, then picked it up

It seemed, such a waste, to get only one use
From such a fine switch as this one I had cut
So, onto its tip I pushed one green persimmon
And reared back and flung it as hard as I could

We couldn’t believe how smoothly it flew
Up through the trees and over the fence
It bounced off the roof of the house on the next street
We all were astounded, how far that it went

A new sport was born that glorious day
Contests were held and a champion was named
We bounced more’n a dozen hard green persimmons
Off of that rooftop the very first day

One day when that neighbor should’ve been working
He found green persimmons all over his lot
He studied awhile on the puzzle before him
Then, as fate would have it, he called up my pop

It didn’t take pop long to figure it out
When he found all our ordnance piled in the ditch
Since I was the oldest, he called me in first
And told me, “young man, go cut me a switch”

I cut you a good one, I said to my pop
But, I feel I must say, as I give it to you
For a switch of this nature, it seems a disgrace
To be wantonly put to such vulgar a use

Proud To Be Depicted That Way

There is nothing like being made,
To look like someone's fool.
With a learning of a lesson taught,
By another who has brought 'something'...
To one's attention.
However...
This will be extremely difficult to do,
And teach effectively in an environment...
Comprised mostly of fools,
Seen strutting around on a daily basis...
Proud to be depicted that way.

The opium pen

The opium pen
~
I get high off this write
inhaling each word
which gives me a hunger
to bite into another verse
ingest further prose
I'm reeling onto the next line
and seeing things on my own
things few others see
that they find strange
but I'm addicted to this
there's ink in my soul now
its as much a part of me
as it is to the pen
I score with this ink
a trip of the mind
I found my opium
in the freedom of expression

MY First My Last

It’s quite bizarre what you think about when you’re swimming.
I’m thinking of what I’m doing and Christine from the beginning.
How can I not remember the look she gave me when we first met
and her brilliant friendly smile, oh, how could I ever forget.

When we touched and held hands for the very first time
a thrill went through my body and up and down my spine.
And when I smelled the fragrance of your skin and hair
I wanted to be with you forever no matter what, or where.

I thought your soft lips were going to melt when we first kissed
oh, I can taste them now and their touch is so painfully missed.
You turned me inside out and I needed to be as one with you
I wanted the souls of our body to be connected, and I still do.

Wherever we kissed you tasted so perfect and I wanted more and more
you made my heart beat so fast and loud you could hear it I’m sure.
And whenever you were unhappy your sadness made me unhappy too
I tried to make you laugh or smile, so the sun would shine through.

The occasions when you sobbed and cried I couldn’t hold back my tears
I shared your sadness, your emotions, your problems, and your fears.
That day by the river when I wished my nervous body would stop shaking
my heart rate and breathing were so fast and seemed to be accelerating.

Our excitement and passion was becoming stronger and stronger
both of us wanted to go further, and we couldn’t wait any longer.
We made love for the first time on that warm summer afternoon
feeling guilty didn’t help us, but we had to do it again very soon.

When our passion became uncontrollable and our desires burst through,
we made love so often, and it was the natural thing to do.
We didn’t care where we made love be it night or day,
in the lush green fields, or on the freshly cut hay.

As time passed, when we were alone you liked me to describe
from the very first kiss how I intended to make you come alive.
We wanted to be with each other throughout the day and night,
but that couldn't be, so we would argue and say words to spite.

I wanted to become a part of you, body and soul forever
and you felt the same, two as one and parting never.
Side by side we would have jumped from the highest mountain
holding hands, kissing and spiralling to our deaths for certain.

When I wasn’t with you I thought about you all the time,
but my jealousy was eating away deep inside my mind
and this was driving you further and further away from me,
but I loved you and wanted you more than could ever be.

I realise now that my jealousy made you grow tired of me
and because of this I’m swimming far out to sea.
As I have now come to the end of looking back in time
my arms are aching, but I’m not looking behind.

For hours now I've been swimming in this cold salty sea
my limbs aren't moving like they ought to be.
I still see your face my darling, but without you I cannot live
and yet I have so much love left in me to give.

I’ve left an addressed letter to you in my hotel room,
it explains everything and I hope you get it soon.
So goodbye my dearest love I’m still thinking of you
and don’t blame yourself that I feel the way I do.
