As he entered the class
I couldn’t help but gaze
Who could be this attractive man?
Dressed in black shirt, tight pants
and a cool pair of sneakers
The well-gelled spiked hair
couldn’t be missed either.
He is a rock star in flesh.

Despite being in love with someone then.
I was very much attracted to this mysterious man
The attraction lingered
It was intensified the moment he opened his mouth.
Who would’ve thought that the hooligan-like persona
is in fact, a very intelligent being.

He is the spice that excites the
pressure-stricken graduate studies
and he doesn’t know it.

His nonchalance makes him even more fascinating.
The challenge of not being noticed
The risk of starting a conversation
which may or may not elicit a response
was downright thought-provoking

Days, weeks, terms slipped by
He remained a man of mystery.
A man of very few words.

Like any other drama,
I got tired of always having to start a conversation
I gave up.
I have my pride to shield.

But opportunity showed its face again
Unfortunately, this may be the last chance
A chance to peak inside the man of mystery
through some tête-à-tête
After all, “In vino veritas”

Gradually…He opened up
The side of him I have never seen before finally surfaced
A man of no pretensions
A man of pride
A man whom I think has never experienced true love
(though he doesn’t admit it)
True to the core indeed.

I was successful.
Successful at making him speak to me with faith,
But behind my triumphant smile
hides a twinge of pain.

Young Love

how is it possible?
i believed we were like friends,
more like twins,
when did the feeling start to flow?
never thought i see it,
but i'm here now,
what do i do?
it feels so right,
and so confortable,
how do you denie it?
mixed emotions along the way,
is it normal?
to feel so attracted to a person,
i never would of quessed of,
maybe that why,
i couldn't let you go,
and see you with somebody else,
i wanted you to myself,
was i selfish,
for not wanting to take a chance,
because of how it might turn out?
afriad of what people might think,
most of all family,
they might not have seen it coming,
me....showing my true colors,
of who i truely am,
and being happy for who i love,
young love doesn't last long,
but does that mean we shouldn't try?

Will all we be is just friends?

can't belive i seen you as a frined,
maybe that was all we ever thought we would be,
you could never stay with one girl,
i didn't want to take that chance,
and now that we a bit older,
i wonder if we can be together,
would i be the only girl for you,
or will you still want more?

are you searching for something you can't find?
i dreamed all my life that we will be together,
but it never happened,
i wonder why,
and all i have is,
you don't know what love is?
you say every girl is the one,
that is not true if you leave her shortly,

Put myself aside.

Graciousness

I don't intend to dye it at all.
It has been well deserved.
I earned it.
I try to execise,
To keep my body physically fit.
So I don't give the appearance of Godzilla.
I don't have that temperment.
But I do admit to a raised eyebrow...
Especially around those who assume,
My graciousness comes without effort!

The older I get,
The more of it is expected.
And on some days I may disappoint.
Those are the days I'm not hardly trying to show grace.
Those are my rudeness days.
And I do my best to provide balance!
Some folks don't get the message...
Until all sides are allowed a scrutinized view!
It entices gossip.
And I am not beneath delivering to this need!

'I am not talking about your hair.
I thought you thought I was talking about your hair? '

I've learned as I get older...
Say anything!
It doesn't matter.
Few listen.
And those that do...
Have no clue what the conversation is about!
Tie it all in!
Ultimately they will believe it all makes sense.

A Confession from the Jailhouse

I killed my brother in a dream
And heard my mother sob and scream
For me to stop and spare his life
And put away that carving knife.

My brother was an upright man,
The successful type who always can
Elicit praise from everyone
For all the good things they have done.

He never gambled, never lied,
And never showed a bit of pride
Though he achieved far more than most -
No, I never heard my brother boast.

He was his parents hope and joy
From when he was a little boy,
And yet I claim he was a thief
Who brought me so much pain and grief.

I met a lass and fell in love
And promised by the stars above
That I'd be faithful, always true,
And worship her my whole life through.

She met my brother at a dance,
He smiled at her and took his chance,
My 'noble' brother stole from me
The girl I loved so jealously.

Alas, my dream became a fact
That night I callously attacked
My brother with a kitchen knife
Because I knew he'd steal my wife.

Now they have locked me in a cell
When I should surely burn in Hell,

Shes got a date for lunch in Singapore,
Holds stock in I.B.M. and hates Dior.
She puts up her make-up on at 6.00am
She goes to work, gets home then puts it on again
And its a mystery how wild that girl can be;
Shes got so much energy;
Shes such an expert at surprising me.
Shes hyperactive when she starts to dance.

Forgetting About You

I always thought I could do anything I put my mind to, but back then it didn't seem to be true, because the one thing I could never do was truly forget about you

I knew nothing could happen, I knew our love was forbidden but back then I was so young and naive I couldn't help but be smitten

Now a days I think about what could've been and what I sometimes still want to be, but I know I'm not fooling anyone not even myself you see, because there never really was a YOU AND ME

There were days when my heart ached for you and days where my head told me to wait for you

But those days are over and I've got things to do, I've got goals to reach, that I won't reach if I'm still sitting around crying broken hearted over you

I haven't thought about your smile in a long, long while or reminisced about the moments we shared, or spent all night worrying about if you ever really cared

I always thought I could do anything I put my mind to, and that to this day holds true, because I did the thing I never thought I could do

Had Many Dreams

Badly did I want it to come true..
But it is really true,

Fight Test

I thought I was smart - I thought I was right
I thought it better not to fight - I thought there was a
Virtue in always being cool - so when it came time to

Chance It

Risk it all.
Take another chance.
Put it all on the line.
Don't hold back and don't back down because our love is worth it.
So love me.
Don't play me.
Hold me tight.
Don't throw me away and waste our love.
Love is a battle worth fighting for.
So pour gasoline on the fire so we can watch it explode together.
Don't extinguish it.

Can't you see its killing me inside knowing I was so close to everything I ever wanted just to have it walk away but not before it took everything and destroyed me.
So go on throw in the towel because I’m not giving up on this love. If love isn't worth fighting for then what is?
By all means I'm not perfect but together our love just might be. Since we have learned from our mistakes and know what road not to go down again.
