June to July
For Junealice Pardo-Vela passed July 4th 2010**
Without the turning of a month I remained a beautiful flower
My vase of narrow glass of narrow food and narrow light
This-too-shall-passing under a sun with slight movement
Slight lines slight light through an open shudder fell
Across a counter until I was only bright in places
And in others cast in shadow where my blossom’s edge began to fall away
But by the light of your window I held myself as straight as tall hiding petals as they fell within the glass
I was bright and smiled and you passed me
While I only hoped you were not afraid
But days do pass and inevitable seeds that flower in inevitable spring are picked and taken away to sit in windows in June
Even before July they start to set like the sun and by July the heat pushes down on them so hard that all they wilt can no longer be hidden
And it is then that you do see me
As sure as you see where I once was
For it is July and I have come to fall away
In the light of your window you see the space where I should be
Keep finding each little petal that I had hid in the glass
I was bright and I smiled as you passed me
In July I am brighter and I smile as I pass away
June has come and she has gone
Within the turning of a month I remain a flower
A beautiful flower without vase or narrow glass or food or narrow light or shuddering or pain or falling down to hide
I pass with the sun
Bright light now shining through a larger window
And I only hope that you are not afraid

July
It's warm outside
But I can hear the snow
Falling on my window
I had to go away
To somewhere deeper down
I know it's my mistake
To take off out of this town
And June becomes July
This road's on fire
And my train's running slow
It rains against my window
I had to get away
To somewhere no-one knows
I know it's my mistake
To take off now in this way
And June becomes July
The air is thin
When you're above the clouds
I see them from my window
It's strange to get away now
To somewhere no-one goes
I know it's my mistake
But I don't even know now
And June becomes July
And June becomes July

The Dog Days Of Summer
June arrived just yesterday, or so it
seemed to be. All that's left is one
more day, then June is history. July
can hardly wait to get here, it's almost
at our door. The days will get much
hotter, then it was the month before.
Just as we're getting used to July, it
too, will be on it's way. Around the
corner lies August, which can make
you rue, the day. If you think July was
hot, August is the worst by far. It's hard
to escape it's sweltering heat, no matter
who you are. You can take a dip in the
ocean, if you enjoy having a steam bath.
The water will never be cold, as August,
unleashes it wrath. Here it is, the
wonderful days of summer. Even though
we look forward to it, it can also be quite
a bummer!

Sonnet: The Flower’s No More
A flower rare grew ’midst the wild flowers,
And had such beauty, words can never tell!
Last year, ’twas born in July-end showers;
This July rain became its fast death knell.
The flower will not grow here-aft again!
No more its sweet perfume shall emanate;
And while alive, this land always did gain;
Some persons didn’t allow it pollinate.
The flower’s dead and none can resurrect!
The time was short for seeds to generate;
But all the time, it stood with grace- Erect!
And gained a place in hearts that venerate.
The flower will not bloom herein again!
Ill-luck had smiled, denying all, its reign.

July
I can’t believe it’s already you, July.
Half the year has now passed me by.
A moment ago it was New Year’s Day
With fresh resolutions to pave my way.
My chagrin is rescued by wondrous July
As gorgeous fireworks light up the sky.
This freedom that I assume is owed
Was purchased by many a bloody road.
Though air is sultry and mosquitoes bold,
I prefer you, July, to the winter’s cold.

Passing Strangers 2
A candle flickers shining bright,
a homeward beacon in the night
for wayward passing strangers
on their lingering flight.
The flame holds out a welcome
with its warm beckoning light
for any passing stranger
that may have lost their way.
The candle never fades and dies,
but remains an eternal light
for all passing strangers
to grasp as a homeward light.

Pink Flower
Pink flower is beautiful
Always so much of anything
Playfully and never dull
As it is inside spring
Tenderly moments to bring on
To every summer night
Until its blossom is gone
With beautiful pinkish bright
Pink flower is like you
With all your loving touch
So much to make and do
If you are in love so much
Nothing is all like this
On to the blue light dark
With new spring dawn bliss
Shades of the petal spark
Fragrances in the air
Full of new summer high
Touching blossom everywhere
In the hours going by
Just like a love to come
When love touches heart
Flowering passion blossom
Now in these days will start

I am your Flower
a beautiful flower waved in the wind
bent with the breeze.
you came along, and, noticed it.
stooping down to kneel in the dirt,
you examined its petals
felt its delicate leaves.
you picked the flower,
broke its roots,
and placed its unchained stem into your clasped hand.
you carried the flower with you
showed it to friends, acquaintances,
made everyone take notice
of the beauty you found.
and strangely enough,
this flower did not wilt,
but remained strongly vibrant
in its glass of water
as you carefully attended to it.
yet as the year continued,
you worried and wondered
if maybe your choosing of this flower hurt it.
was it meant to be connected with the earth?
should you have stood and turned away
without choosing this flower
and picking it up for your own?
was your breaking of the stem a mistake?
should you have left it?
these questions filled your mind.
yet your flower remained vibrant and strong
in her glass of water.
confined, no, now free.
and freedom brings its own nourishment.
nourishment that cannot be found
attached to the ground.
you chose the flower above the rest,
and picked her to be yours.
will you keep me?
you have freed me.
my glass of water is refreshing.
your hand clasping my stem is enough
for me to stay and choose you
above the sun, more than the soil,
i cannot wilt if you take care of me as you have.
for a broken stem and a chosen flower
cannot be returned.
i must be kept or left to die.

The Light
(kieran kane/emmylou harris)
I see the light
I see the light at the end of the tunnel
I see the light and its burnin bright
I see the light its the light at the end that I run to
And the light, darlin is you
In the lonely heart of darkness
I have stumbled and I have strayed
Always searchin but never finding
A ray of sunlight to guide my way
I see the light
I see the light at the end of the tunnel
I see the light and its burnin bright
I see the light its the light at the end that I run to
And the light, darlin is you
I have travelled down this highway
Of hope abandoned and broken dreams
An unbeliever my faith was shaken
By all the sorrow I had seen
I see the light
I see the light at the end of the tunnel
I see the light and its burnin bright
I see the light its the light at the end that I run to
And the light, darlin is you
And the light, darlin is you

My Heart Is In July
shifting away from June's bud
to leave dandelions scattered in the yard
this dawn of July
marks the end of a lie
a lie from past season
for a strong reason
in July
robin will make herself shy
and cover her reddish breast
with her celestial hued crest
then flap her wings to fly
close against the sky
i want to kiss July
and make July
lasting forever
in beauty but not ephemeral
i will preserve July
on my canvas and with magic brush
so that she will be enthralled and blush
i will paint July
with charming colour
so that she will be captured in delight
and her soul enraptured
because my heart is in July.

Starlight
Up to the sky
I'm just only a little star
My faint color seen from a far
Loyal to love the night
I am not the brightest one
But i share the light
In my simple poem
Talking about you and me
Reason why this poem was written
In a paper, but in heart you will not be forgotten
Up to the sky
Just a little star, someone who i am
Your wish reaches me up to the sky
Sending me a shine in thousands miles
So i twinkle you little bright smile
and I will keep shine till i die
In a big space of glory
I am only a little star
Even we are far my dearies
The shine is our story
For loyalty and wishing on me
I could be your fallen star
Wish all the best of all
Catch when you are fall
Hope our shine forget it all
I am just a little star
when each of you stick with me
It makes me feel like a biggest one
Each wish goes through this night
sending me more stunning light
Beautiful me, I gain intense bright
But the shine is our story
In a big space of glory

What a huge day of 13th of July, everyone
send light to me for a smile, so this only i can
give, the big smile as my reply...I am just
a little star but with all of you the night
we shared glory in perfect shiny story

A flower
A flower, a flower
wont anyone give me a flower?
But no one stops, no one listens
I am no more than a shadow calling out
though shielding away from the light
Afraid to be hurt more than I have been
Searching for someone to help
but find nothing but refusal and hurt
A flower, a flower,
wont anyone give me a flower?
But no one looks, no one cares
I am drifting now
afraid to ask anymore...
Wouldn't want to ruin their beautiful day
with my dark cold heart
-Goodbye now

The Star's Song
Flower! Flower, why repine?
God knows each creature's place;
He hides within me when I shine,
And your leaves hide His face.
And you are near as I to Him,
And you reveal as much
Of that eternal soundless hymn
Man's words may never touch.
God sings to man through all my rays
That wreathe the brow of night,
And walks with me thro' all my ways --
The everlasting light.
Flower! Flower, why repine?
He chose on lowly earth,
And not in heaven where I shine,
His Bethlehem and birth.
Flower! Flower, I see Him pass
Each hour of night and day,
Down to an altar and a Mass
Go thou! and fade away.
Fade away upon His shrine!
Thy light is brighter far
Than all the light wherewith I shine
In heaven, as a star.

Wind And Window Flower
Lovers, forget your love,
And list to the love of these,
She a window flower,
And he a winter breeze.
When the frosty window veil
Was melted down at noon,
And the cagèd yellow bird
Hung over her in tune,
He marked her through the pane,
He could not help but mark,
And only passed her by,
To come again at dark.
He was a winter wind,
Concerned with ice and snow,
Dead weeds and unmated birds,
And little of love could know.
But he sighed upon the sill,
He gave the sash a shake,
As witness all within
Who lay that night awake.
Perchance he half prevailed
To win her for the flight
From the firelit looking-glass
And warm stove-window light.
But the flower leaned aside
And thought of naught to say,
And morning found the breeze
A hundred miles away.

Taking The Narrow Path
this is the narrow path
of disbelief
one gets elbow to elbow
with uncertainties
in a party of masks
one talks to someone
without a name
with no place to stay
this is the narrow path
it only you that fits in
and all they say when they pass
are excuses
this is the narrow path of silence
questions hang like stars in the skies
you are a grain of sand
below a full moon
you look for light and comfort
there is so much
but you have none

Grey Skies In July
We are now well in to the month of July,
But above my head, there's a leaden sky.
For days on end, it has constantly rained,
And I must say that it's a right old pain.
Every time that I step out of my door,
The Heavens open and it begins to pour.
This awful weather is getting me down:
My once sunny smile has turned to a frown.
When it rains, it rains nearly all the day long;
For the middle of summer, it feels so wrong.
In July, we should be getting long days of sun,
But, so far, this month, we've had hardly none.
I hate these days which are dreary and dull;
With this wet weather, there is hardly a lull.
It was on the radio, that I heard one morning,
Half of Britain had severe weather warnings.
Around the sodden streets, everyone rushes.
Packed to full capacity, are our local buses.
I dare not leave home without my coat.
Very soon, I'll be needing to buy a boat!
Like many others, I don't mind confessing,
That I find this weather pretty depressing.
I want this weather to be over and done:
Rain every single day, is certainly no fun.
They say that sunny weather is on its way,
And I'm really looking forward to that day.
Let us all hope that, for the rest of July,
We'll see some sun and bright blue skies.

Walk Towards Light
We all see the light
But not all understand mean to be bright
Blind say never know what is light look like
But not mean blind doesnt know what is bright
Light make something bright, bright never make a light
When the blind say, i'm bright..yes he/she is right
Coz bright is something we feel inside
And it's a great as we see the light...
So ask your heartbeat if they have both? ? smile is the answer! _Unwritten Soul
We all can see the light
The sun is the main source
Of our world's light
We can see its light at the day
But never can we see at night
The heart is the main source of our life's light
We can see its light day and night
Because it's bright not a light
Heart's bright can also be seen
When eyes bright
When faces smile
When lovers combined
When my friend take my hand
Walk with me towards the light
