J.
For awhile life will seem empty
Because you filled it
But to excess
I loved your passion and your caring
For my ageing isolation
You touched my body stroked my soul
I felt young and not alone
For those moments of pure Joy
I will remember Jules
And Wonder.

My Only Memory Of You
Now you are gone
And I remember nothing from you-
Except for our nights filled with lust-
Filled with passion...
Perhaps all other memory has been swallowed into the emptiness-
From when our romance became a void-
Swallowing all sentiment...
I remember as I kissed you all over-
My breath ignited the fire,
Which lay dormant,
Inside your heart turned cold...
The silk of your naked skin,
Has burnt its mark-
As I gently caressed you all over
And I felt the fire's of your lust,
Drive me in my passion-
As your lust sought to overcome you-
With every electric charge I'd send through your body...
We would make love
And our flesh-
Our very beings would melt together,
In our flames-
Together we would dance
And sing-
In the silent depths of the night-
From dusk's twilight-
Till the light of sunrise...
For I while I could say that you were mine-
I once had you in my grasp-
My once beloved-
You were the most difficult to conquer-
I know that I loved you once-
Even when your love became lust-
But all that remains now,
Is the memory of when we were as one once-
My body on yours-
Together,
We merged in our flames once-
But fate tore us apart...
Now you are gone-
But those memories haunt me in my dreams-
Burnt into my subconscious-
Only in those moments I thought I felt your love-
Albeit it was only your lust-
You succumbed to your lust-
Steamy,
Violent silhouettes-
Breathless screams
And the sting of your nails on my skin-
The sheer bliss as we were consumed in the flames,
Of our desires-
Haunting me in my dreams...
I remember how once-
Only you could set me free-
Yet I remember nothing else-
Albeit I can say that I loved once
And I can say that I made love once...

Isolation
Pop/bowie
Needed you, you were only using
Needing you just tore me down
And here I stand in isolation
Feeling emptiness and doubt
Walking down the broken highway
Sucking sugar plain and sweet
Did your mother ever tell you
That the joyful are free
I need some lovin
Like an inmate needs a dime
I need some lovin
Like a poet needs a rhyme
Here I stand in isolation
My empty hands in isolation
Walking down the broken highway
Sucking sugar cause its my way
Find me one heart to complete with
Heading for the farthest reaches
I need some lovin
Like a body needs a soul
I need some lovin
Like a fastball needs control
Here I stand in isolation
My empty hands in isolation
Strike up the band
In this proud land
Got a lot to do
Got a lot to say
Got a life to live
Here I stand-
In isolation

Bleed No More
Bleed no more, bleed no more, my love-
Just go in peace towards your destination,
For in this life my eyes have seen enough,
Enough of broken promises and frustrations.
Just go on without a word or thought
About what we've done when we were young,
About that pure love that we once sought-
Just go on-what has been done is done.
I will not say I loved you any less-
Whatever was one time had disappeared,
Dissolved in memories and years of loneliness,
Transforming flights of passion into tears.
And what is left? What's really left of us,
Of those moments when we loved each other? -
I should've known that your heart of glass
Was never tied to any single lover.
So go on, go on your merry way
Towards another fleeting destination-
Whatever was is gone-it's time to say
Goodbye to empty words and affectations.

His Hand
I remember the man
whose hand I loved.
I can even remember the feel when gloved.
It touched my body.
It touched my heart.
I can still remember it though it did depart.

Magic Moments
(h. david / b. bacharach)
Magic moments, when two hearts are caring.
Magic moments, memories weve been sharing.
Ill never forget the moment we kissed,
The night of the hay-ride.
The way that we hugged and tried to keep warm
On taking the sleigh-ride.
Magic moments, when two hearts are caring.
Magic moments, memories weve been sharing.
Time cant erase, the memory of
These magic moments, filled with love.
The telephone call that tied up the line
For hours and hours.
The saturday dance I got up the nerves
To send you some flowqers.
Magic moments, when two hearts are caring.
Magic moments, memories weve been sharing.
Time cant erase, the memory of
These magic moments, filled with love.
The way that we cheered on one of our team
For scoring a touch-down.
The time when the floor fell out of my car,
When I put the clutch down.
The petty arcade, the games that we played,
The fun and the prizes.
The halloween hop, when everyone came
In funny disguises.
Magic moments, filled with love. (la la la la la la)

From A Poet's Desk....
i have days filled with images,
smells, sounds, tastes...
images that talk without speaking,
that ache, that cut, that bleed...
small things, never noticed, or forgotten.
remember staring at sunlight dancing
in pine sap, alone in the woods, a small boy.
the way my bare feet felt in the creek,
the way my mother talked about god,
as if they were intimate friends.
the day my best friend's brother died,
we were about seven, i think he was five...
the freckles on the face of the girl i loved,
in the fifth grade...
and the day of mourning, alone in the woods,
when her family moved away.
the day President Kennedy was murdered...
the streets i walked at night as a teenager.
the questions, always the questions...
the call i took the night
my grandfather drowned.
the funeral when my brother died...
old frame houses, wood chopped, gardens tilled...
the way factories smelled, the stink of the jail cell.
passion, sweet passion, the body of my lover,
and music, always music....
classical, blues, rock, country, bluegrass, folk...
i loved them all!
dimlit bars, silent libraries, thumb stuck out
on endless highways... going, always going...
the feel of the wind at my back.
going up, and coming down,
shaking the monkey off my back.
and one by one those i loved died...
leaves fallen from the tree...
sleeping in empty churches,
or deep south drunk tanks....
the days each of my children were born,
and each time i lost it all...
a thousand prayers, a thousand doubts,
and moments of pure faith....
black and white, and all the colors
of living in tiny slivers....
i thank each and every memory
with eternal gratitude...
images of a life lived,
that throb and haunt the night!

Remembering You
I remember
one fine day,
You had walked
Into the dark corridors of my life
Like the sunshine
After a long, cold, dark night.
Bringing with you
All the warmth
All the glow
Long awaited
Never felt.
I remember
Holding your
Little finger
And chasing
The wild, wild wind
Like two innocent children
In pursuit of the unknown dream.
It was pure joy.
Long awaited
Never felt.
I remember
Those moments
When your heart
Had melted in mine
And my soul in your soul
Like the scent of the soil
After a bout of fresh rains
Melts in the
Flavour of the
Monsoon wind.
It was absolute bliss
Always waited for
Never received.
I remember
One fine day
You turned and walked
Away
Without even turning to wave goodbye
Like someone
Who one day just curled up and died
And did not have time
Even to say goodbye.
It was so much of heartache
Never expected
Never felt.
I remember

For Awhile, Just A Little While
For awhile, just a little while I feel pain
The temptations and trials don't seem to end, I'm literally going insane
It's overwhelming
But forever always forever I have strength
And I know I'm loved and that He's gone to every length
Just to let me know
That He loves me so
Your presence and your love, it doesn't numb the pain, it takes it away
It's overwhelming
But for awhile, just a little while I feel loss
I can't separate myself from my failures, they feel burned across
My face
My fleshly tendencies
My addictions and sin (so called) dependencies
My mark of shame and disgrace
But forever always forever I have an identity
One that is greater than even me
One that isn't based on circumstance
One that transcends happen-stance
Somehow I'm a son
I don't know how it's done
Somehow my shame is turned to glory
Somehow disgrace is replaced with grace
Somehow all the shortcomings make a story
Of repentance and redemption to replace
Somehow my dependency changes
Somehow at the end of it all I'm only dependent on You
But for awhile, just a little while
I'm searching for purpose, as sin and distractions defile
I'm searching for the point, for the meaning
Everything around me is so demeaning
It sucks away anything I thought I was made for
Tell me I'm inadequate, incapable, something to abhor
Amidst, terror, purposeless, confusion, and loss, how can I ever smile?
I can't live like this, not even for awhile
It's indescribable
But for forever, always forever
I know You love me
I know You have a plan for me even though I can't see
I know where to find my purpose, I felt empty but now I overflow
The thought never crossed my mind, because to know
You give me my meaning, You're what I'm made for
You're what completes me, body and soul, my heart, my very core
There is no terror and no fear
In You there's no sorrows, no heartbreak, not even a tear
Though my heart does long
And my feelings go astray
None of that's from You, it's not always and not forever, it won't stay
But You'll stay, You'll keep me strong
Thank You, because You're better than a smile
You are pure joy, You give me pure joy, now that's worthwhile
So forever, always forever this is who I am, my identity
This is eternal life, all of this is Your gift to me
It's indescribable
Thank You for the always and for the forever, this is true life
But for awhile, just a little while, this is what I call my life.

Moonlit Day
I remember the moon staring back at us
I remember the stars holding our gaze
I remember the cool air that night
I remember warming you and holding you tight
I remember how it felt to finally be loved
I remember how I felt and what I couldn't stop
I remember the way you looked being lit by the night
I remember how fiery my passion became right then
I remember all the things that were
I remember all the things that couldn't have been
I remember all of this but it belongs to time's past
I remember everything and the feelings that wouldn't last
I remember most of all what I wanted to say
But it remains to another time
A time of a moonlit day

You Chose…
Before you were born into this body,
You had many life decisions to make.
Where on Earth do I want to live?
Who will I choose for parents?
Of what race and ethnicity will they be?
What religion?
What soul issues will I work with?
What experiences will I choose?
That done, you stored choices into soul memory.
After a body was conceived by your parents;
You entered;
Felt the warmth of their blood.
Felt the density of becoming matter.
Felt the downward pull of gravity.
Your mind was empty, indeed a clean slate…
Yet guided by a knowing soul.
You made a choice to be here, so why do you complain?
Rejoice Beloved,
Live life for life itself!

A Simple Touch!
you touched my hand,
and raised this body
from the land of the dead...
you touched my heart,
and freed this soul
from the dark maze
of its own prison.
you touched my eyes,
and restored sight
to a blind man.
you touched my ears,
and filled them with
the song of every living creature.
you touched my desire,
and brought stone and fire,
and the echo of the whipporwill's song.
i touched you,
and the earth stopped turning,
rivers stopped flowing,
and mountains fell...
all in a simple touch!

She had loved
She had loved,
Loved with the passion of a thousand loves
All of her hurt and pain went into this love
A love that no one had ever known
The ache and hurt from all the others went into the act of loving
The abuse of all the others went into her passion
The pain of rejection from family and friends went into the love making
She could never feel the hurt again so she put it into the passion and heat they two had when they where together
And when she was alone she would cry for the pain
Pain for the fear that she might never love
Cry for all the abuse that was put onto her body
Some in part to find love
Some in part to feel something instead of being loved
She used her body as a vessel to get what she wanted
And never showed love when doing it
She gave herself to forget herself and all the pain and fear and anguish
She gave and gave and showed no emotion in doing so
She knew that no one would really know her
Or really loved her
They were all just lovers without the love and all of the passion
She used what she knew
And passion is what she knew best
She had passion in the way she walked and talked and all the things that she did
She never showed her true colors
Until she found that love
And poured it all into the love making that she gave and cried for a different reason
She now cried for the loved that she had found and wanted
She gave all of her and more then needed to give to one person
That love that she had never had and wanted so desperately she gave to this person and that person never really understood her
She thought that this would never end and never wanted it to
But when the love in the love making faded it was just empty
And from then on all of her became empty
She did not know how to show true love and slowly lost her passion
All of her passion for all of the things that made her lovable
So now she was never to find that love again
Now she was passionless and empty
Empty was she would remain to be
Hallow once again just a vessel for others to abuse
and confuse for what they thought was love
Love that she would and could never feel again

Chocolate Soul
As the day begins the dreams reveal
The night before was a unconscious feel
Soothing your body from every end
Chocolate Soul is giving more time to heal
Tears don't necessary lend a hand
The exotic points are about to extend
Soothing your body from every end
Chocolate Soul is giving more time to heal
Knowing that hi points touch the thighs
Leaving the feeling of passion within your eyes
Soothing your body from every end
Chocolate Soul is giving more time to heal
Touching your skin beyond ectasy
Is Breathtaking enough to calm the seas
Soothing your body from every end
Chocolate Soul is giving time to heal
Piercing eyes creep through the pane
Embarrassment captures your every saying
Soothing your body from every end
Chocolate Soul is giving time to heal
Once more you catch your breath
The feeling of euphoria is beyond wealth
Soothing your body from every end
Chocolate Soul is giving time to heal
Once more you catch your breath
Passion and Envy are tied up in self
Soothing your body from every end
Chocolate Soul is giving time to heal
Finally the day has end
Remember to touch, feel and speak
Encounters the moments of the soul being weak
Soothing your body from every end
Chocolate Soul is giving time to heal
Once more you catch your breath
The shivers are a response of something else
Soothing your body from every end
Chocolate Soul is giving time to heal
The moral of the story may seem unclear
Come closer to me and never fear
Soothing your body from every end
Chocolate Soul is giving time to heal

Sweet Nicole (A sweet but faithless lady)
It was August I remember
I remember when I met her
She was perfect I remember
in her body, mind and soul
In September I remember
I remember her all over
She was perfect I remember
in her body, mind and soul
In October I remember
I remember her all over
We were lovers I remember
in body, mind and soul
In November I remember
I remember lies she told me
She was wilful I remember
Wilful to the n'th degree
In December I remember
I remember it was over
Still, she is all that I remember
Love forever sweet Nicole

Homage To Life
It’s good to have chosen
A living home
And housed time
In a ceaseless heart
And seen my hands
Alight on the world,
As on an apple
In a little garden,
To have loved the earth,
The moon and the sun
Like old friends
Who have no equals,
And to have committed
The world to memory
Like a bright horseman
To his black steed,
To have given a face
To these words — woman, children,
And to have been a shore
For the wandering continents
And to have come upon the soul
With tiny strokes of the oars,
For it is scared away
By a brusque approach.
It is beautiful to have known
The shade under the leaves,
And to have felt age
Creep over the naked body,
And have accompanied pain
Of black blood in our veins,
And gilded its silence
With the star, Patience,
And to have all these words
Moving around in the head,
To choose the least beautiful of them
And let them have a ball,
To have felt life,
Hurried and ill loved,
And locked it up
In this poetry.

On Seeing You...
On Seeing You...
The body that so far felt
Like a hollow shell
Thrown on the beach
By a vagrant child
The body that so far felt
Like an empty piece of severed bamboo
Fallen on an untread forest path
No longer felt hollow or empty
The shell vibrated with the roar of the sea
The bamboo set ripples of mystic music on the waves
Strangely enough, even the half-moon
Sprayed brightness on the dark niches
Your joy resonated in my heart
Sealing all the crevices and pushed the body
Towards the one loved…
Ah, the stuff dreams are made of
