It’s Okay to Rest
In a fast-paced world,
Trying to stay on top,
You push, push, push—
Push until you drop.
Trying to take advantage
Of every op—
Determined to let nothing
Hinder or stop.
You work, work, work;
Work up lots of stress.
But just remember—
It’s okay to rest.

Hit It
1st verse
Somebody said what are you doin down there
Trying to make me a living
All I want is to get my fair share
Im pleading but nobodys giving
Maybe Im wrong, and I dont see things clear
But I know how I feel after all the these years
Ill keep fighting the pain and the heartache and tears
Chorus
Then Ill push it, going to work it
Keep right on till I hit it
Im going to push it, going to work it
Keep right on till I hit it
Push it, going to work it
Keep right on till I hit it
Im going to push it, going to work it
Keep right on till I hit it
2nd verse
Looking up cause Ive got time to spare
Today the sun aint shining
Im still searching everywhere
For my cloud with the silver lining
People say that enough is enough
Turn my back on this thing put it down to bad luck
But the day I do that, then my life will be up
Chorus
So Ill push it, going to work it
Keep right on till I hit it
Im going to push it, going to work it
Keep right on till I hit it
Push it, going to work it
Keep right on till I hit it
Im going to push it, going to work it
Keep right on till I hit it

Death of an Old Carriage Horse
I was a harness horse,
Constrained to travel weak or strong,
With orders from oppressing force,
Push along, push along.
I had no space of rest,
And took at forks the roughest prong,
Still by the cruel driver pressed,
Push along, push along.
Vain strove the idle bird,
To charm me with her artless song,
But pleasure lingered from the word,
Push along, push along.
The order of the day
Was push, the peal of every tongue,
The only word was all the way,
Push along, push along.
Thus to my journey's end,
Had I to travel right or wrong,
'Till death my sweet and favored friend,
Bade me from life to push along.

When You Push
When you push...
Don't turn your back upon a cliff.
Or try to balance on the edge of it.
When you push.
When you push...
Don't think for a moment,
I will insist you resist this!
Or think not to inflict...
An exchange with you conflict!
When you push...
And you have been warned!
A visit to your end will come to you quick.
As your fingertips slip...
From that cliff,
With my assistance.
When you continue to push!
And push.
And push!
Think of it,
As a gift to realize your wishes.
When you push to give...
Expect to receive!

One Fine Sunday Morning
A little more push,
a little more push
higher, higher
a little more push,
a little more push
oh, I'm almost there.
A little more push,
a little more push
higher, higher
a little more push,
a little more push
oh, I got it,
I got my shoe!
Oh,
what a fine Sunday morning
you and I comparing
whose kick is higher
beside this old peach tree
that we planted together
twelve years ago.

Please Push No More
Now Im behind glass
Ill talk to you
The telephone lines blind
You have defaced my face
I bet you laughed at me
You bright young things
And now I need no-one
I miss you, so
Please push no more
Please push no more
Now its all over for sure
Ill walk back home
We must all come down
We all grow old
We are close, we are hurt
So that was love
And love she kills me
It needs to, so
Please push no more
Please push no more
Please push no more
Please push no more

Over the Edge
If we believe in one Father,
Why push our siblings down?
If we believe in one God,
Why push our relatives into struggle?
If we believe in one Savior,
Why push sinners into hell?
If we believe in one love,
Why push neighbors into thorns?
If we believe in one spirit,
Why push them over the edge?

Push and Pull
It is hard to keep it clean,
When you push and pull.
Or acting happy when feeling mean,
When you push and pull.
And people stand around just to see one weep.
When you push and pull.
And when you say 'hello' they don't even speak.
When you push and pull.
You might see Bo Peep having some trouble with her sheep,
When you push and pull.
You might see Mary and her lambs giving Bo Peep creeps.
When you push and pull.
You might see Humpty Dumpty crawling up a wall.
When you push and pull.
You might see Perter and The Wolf eating chips at a local mall.
When you push and pull.
Ain't nothing easy,
When you try to keep your feet from sinking...
Deep!
And with no sleep.
It is hard to keep it clean,
When you push and pull.
Or acting happy when feeling mean,
When you push and pull.
And people stand around just to see one weep.
When you push and pull.
And when you say 'hello' they don't even speak.
When you push and pull.
And they push bull,
When you push and pull.
And they push bull,
When you push and pull.

Put your hands up c come on (push it up!)
Huh c yeah, this is it, this is it (push it up!)
This is it
I think they got 2 get ready 4 this one here c come on!
(ooh, everybodys here) say what?
(this is the jam of the year)
Huh, what did I hear? (push it up! push it up!)
Uh, wasnt quite clear
(ooh, everybodys here) say what?
(this is the jam of the year)
Oh, huh - I hear ya, huh (push it up! push it up!)
Come on, uh
If ure ever down draggin on the ground
Face twisted with a funky frown
Let me turn u on 2 somethin that I found
2 make u feel good, feel good
Negativity like gravity
Gotcha fallin fast from reality
U gotta get up, put up, move up
And just do what u should, u should
Realize that u are somebody
Come on, yall, and join the party
Everybody grab a body
And feel good, u should
Chorus:
Push it up - push it up - push it up - push it up
(ooh, everybodys here - this is the jam of the year)
(push it up! push it up!)
Push it up - push it up - push it up - push it up
(ooh, everybodys here - this is the jam of the year)
(push it up! push it up!)
Push it up, push it up 2 the sky
U dont have 2 have a plane 2 fly
If u listen 2 the truth and not the lie
Stop cryin, cryin
In harmony, cant u see
Every color all in the same key
And thats the way jah wants us 2 be
Start tryin, a-tryin
Realize that u are somebody
Come on, yall, and join the party
Everybody grab a body
And feel good, u should
Chorus
Come on - wake up your body, wake up your body
Wake up your body and move it around c come on
Yeah, huh
Where the party at in here, yall?
Where the party goin down in here? uh
Now I wanna know whos ready 2 show me
Get on down with the one and only party ambassador
Flip styles like a spatula mac-tacula
More legend than a new acura
Body tone stone while I rap 2 her
Capture her thinkin Im a mac 2 her
Just because Im attracted 2 her
But the fact of the matter is the dance floors phatter
The crowds on fire as we push it up higher
Push it up! - come on, yall
Push it up! - put your hands in the air
Push it up! - come on, yall
Push it up! - while the artist turn it up, come - uh!
Yeah, huh
Break it on down (push it, push it up!)
Huh
This is the jam, this is the jam, this is the jam of the year {x2}
Push it up {x12}
Everybody grab a body, everybody push it up {x2}
On and on till the early morn - push it up
Push it up {x7}

Push Push and Pop It
Push push and pop it!
Don't keep it bottled up!
Or you will dropp like slop to mop.
Leaving specs and pieces left,
To kick and knock your 'ouch' about!
To needle and pick!
You gotta stop it.
To needle and pick!
You gotta stop it.
To needle and pick!
You gotta stop it.
Puuussshhh! Keep pushin'
Push push and pop it!
Don't keep it bottled up!
Or you will dropp like slop to mop.
Leaving specs and pieces left,
To kick and knock your 'ouch' about!
Push push and pop it!
Don't keep it bottled up!
Or you will dropp like slop to mop.
Leaving specs and pieces left,
To kick and knock your 'ouch' about!
Puuussshhh! Keep pushin'
You can refuse to feel remorse or guilt.
And let forgiveness handle it!
No need to flip your lid or top.
Learn to love yourself a lot.
If this is not done...
How can you expect others to start.
You don't have to play a part...
Of that panic brewing in your heart!
Denying it is there.
Just...
Puuussshhh! Keep pushin'
Puuussshhh! Keep pushin
Push push and pop it!
Don't even try to stop it.
Just...
Puuussshhh! Keep pushin'
Puuussshhh! Keep pushin
Push push and pop it!
Don't even try to stop it.
Push push and pop it!
Don't keep it bottled up!
Or you will dropp like slop to mop.
Push push and pop it!
Don't keep it bottled up!
Or you will dropp like slop to mop.
Push push and pop it!
Push push and pop it!
Push push and pop it!
Push push and pop it!

You Just Can't Push Me (demo)
I got a line on you
We could be overdue
We could be trashed inside
We could be on the slide
No need to cool it out
Just one two three and shout
You just can't push me
You just can't push me
You just can't push me
Around
You got to help me in
You want to be my sin
You want to be my dream
You want to fill my dreams yea
No need to feel it out
Just another something
To forget about
You just can't push me
You just can't push me
You just can't push me
Around (oh not like this)
I got a line on you
We could be overdue
We could be trashed inside

Push
Step 1... step off to the dance floor
Step 1... step off to the dance floor
Push (hey) ((push up on it))
(good God)
Push - lord (push, yeah) ((push up on it))
Every time u get some
People wanna take it back
They rather see u on the run
Than see u get it like that
Every time they stop u
Change up like a sock
Every time they try 2 clock u
Tick more than they tock
Push I push
Dont let them pull u down, yeah
Push I push
Until u get 2 higher ground
Push
Ure never 2 young, never 2 old
Push
Dont stop until u go
Did u ever stop 2 wonder
Why u put another down?
No man should asunder
The joy that another man found
Maybe bout the business u was worried
Wasnt ever filed in your name
Maybe the cartridge u was playin
Dont fit in your video game
Push I push
Dont let them pull u down
Push I push
Until u get 2 higher ground
Push
Ure never 2 young, never 2 old, yeah
Push
Dont stop until u go, hey
(alright) I push (push) ((push up on it))
(push) I push (push, push, hey)
(push) (come on and push it now, hey push)
((push up on it)) (push) I push
Every time u get some push
People wanna take it back p-push
They rather see u on the run push
Than see u get it like that
Every time they stop u
Change up like a sock push
Every time they try 2 clock u push
U gotta tick more than they can tock
Push I push
Dont let them pull u down
Push I push
Until u get 2 higher ground (higher)
Push
Ure never 2 young, never 2 old, yeah
Push
Dont stop until u go
(no, dont) (push) I push
(push) I push
(push) I push
(push) I push
Did u ever stop 2 wonder (did u ever stop 2 wonder) (push)

(tony...) yo?
(get on the mike...) slow down - Im a push up on it
(get on the mike...) (get on the mike)
(get on the mike...)
I push for a beat that is greasy
Ill dis a beat if it teases
Mark this down as I state it...
I like my funk concentrated
The pop seem, hmmm, a little overrated
U sure can tell where were steppin
Theres some grease on the stage
Ooops, I just stepped in it... (push)
Circlin as we slide
The full stride for the ride
On a watered-down tip
We could never get by (push)
Fellas... (get on the mike)
Check it out, heres what u gotta do (push)
Gotta step in the room with the mood
Never juicin yourself,
Just a confident attitude (push)
Believe me, u will get busy
Your mouthll drop open
[as u watch the slimmies funkin] (push)
But u dont want the one whos jockin
Cause its all about the clockin (push)
Step 1, step off 2 the dance floor (push up on it)
There ya go, yall, yeah (push)
(1...eno... 1,2,3) (push, push, push)
Push up on it (get on the mike, woman)
(prince...) (get on the mike) push up on it
(get on the mike)
(prince...)
U dont want me on the mike push up on it
(get on the mike)
No man, u dont want me on the mike (dont stop until u go)
(get on the mike) push up on it
(push)
Its thunder when Im on the mike (push) I push
Daddy pops in the house
And ure sure 2 like his diamonds (push) I push
Sure 2 like his pearls
Im good 2 cream every boy and girl
Cuz Im a stollin,
Steady hip-hop rockin rollin (push)
A willing and able horny pony
And Im pumpin em, Im pumpin em, (push)
Im pump-pump-pump-pump-pumpin em
From pakistan 2 poland (push)
Straight into your town
Snatchin up kiddies (get on the mike)

(get on the microphone)
Well, all u people out there, (push)
Ud better be ware
Cuz they call me rosie g
And I just dont care (push)
I like 2 step, all night long
Rappin, hiphopin, and pushin this song
The song gets higher and it sets u on fire (push)
Like the lion in the jungle (get on the mike)
It takes you all higher (push)
My momma said girl, u know it aint cool, (get on ...)
Said ya dont wanna play by nobodys rules
I said momma chill out, (push)
And give me a break, cause
I know I got just what it takes (push)
I said momma dont put me under pressure (get on, get on ...)
I love u and I think ure fresher - push (push)
Everybody here we go, come on now,
A-push if ya wanna push
A-come on, a-come on, a-come, a-come p-p-push it, push (push)

Push Me Away
Another day has gone by
I've been sitting here asking why
There's never anything to do
This is what I'm asking you
You're not gonna
Push me away
You're not gonna
Don't even try
You're not gonna
Push me away
You're not gonna
So don't even try
The only reason I'm stuck here
Cause I'm afraid of inner fear
And sometimes I can't do anything
But how do I know if I can do something
But you're not gonna
Push me away
You're not gonna
Don't even try
You're not gonna
Push me away
You're not gonna
So don't even try
Ooh oh
Ooh oh
Push me away
Ooh oh
Ooh oh
Push me away
Ooh oh
Ooh oh
Push me away
Ooh oh
Oh oh
Push me away

Push Me, Pull Me
I had a false belief
I thought I came here to stay
Were all just visiting
All just breaking like waves
The oceans made me, but who came up with love?
Push me, pull me, push me, or pull me out
Push me, pull me, or pull me out {2x}
So if there were no angels, would there be no sin?
You better stop me before I begin
But let me say: if I behave, can you arrange a spacious hole in the ground
Somewhere nice, make it nice
Where the land meets high tide
Push me, pull me, or pull me out
Push me, pull me {2x}
Like a cloud dropping rain
Im discarding all thought
Ill dry up, leaving puddles on the ground
Im like an opening band for the sun
Push me, pull me {6x}
Ive had enough, said enough, felt enough, Im fine, still in it

Lost in the Cycle
Work work work work, work work work work, work work work work
STOP
and
do
nothing
'cause there is nothing to do
even though there is always something to do
but why would you do that?
Stay up
No sleep
Go to sleep
Peace
Except not
Because the brain still says 'Go! '
When you say
'No!
Rest! '
No Rest
Come back to consciousness?
You never left,
did you?
Begin repeat

Rap On "Try"
Try, try, try just a little bit harder
So I can love, love, love him, I tell myself
'Cause I'm gonna try, oh yeah, just a little bit harder
So I won't lose, lose, lose him to nobody else, yeah.
Hey, I don't care how long it's gonna take ya
But if it's a dream I don't want No I don't really want it
Yeah if it's a dream I don't want nobody to wake me.
Yeah I'm gonna try, oh yeah, just a little bit harder
So I can give, give, give, give him every bit of my soul.
I'm gonna try, oh yeah, just a little bit harder
So I can show, show, show him love with no control, yeah.
Hey! I don't care how long it's gonna take ya
But if it's a dream I don't want
No I don't really want it
Yeah if it's a dream I don't want nobody to wake me.
Hey, dig it! Yeah! Yeah yeah yeah!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right.
Try oh yeah, hey, try oh yeah, Lord, Lord, Lord,
Try oh yeah, try oh yeah, Lord, Lord, Lord,
Try oh yeah yeah, try, whoa, try oh yeah, Lord, Lord, Lord,
Push, work, push, work, oh yeah, try, oh yeah hey!
Try oh yeah, hey try oh yeah,
Try Lord, try, try, you ain't trying man
You're not trying out man, come up with it.
Come on, that's a wanker that listens to words, man.
Hey you gotta work all night
Hey little girl, gotta push on
You gotta need
Work a little more, hey, try a little more,
Need a little more
Yeah, work on, push on, move on, move on,
You gotta work for it, you gotta work on it
Push on, need on, move on,
Move on, hey hey hey.
Work it daddy,
Work it daddy,
Come on, work it daddy, oh
Yeah, yeah, you better try, try, try, try a little more
You ain't never gonna get any man if that's the sort of thing you can
