It Does Seem A Very Hard Thing To Explain

It does seem a very hard thing to explain
Why one person's loss is another one's gain
A downturn in the stockmarket millionaires to paupers does create
Whilst some from others loss gain and their good fortune celebrate
In a fair society this never would be
Though what's fair to you may not seem fair to me
That somebody's huge financial loss creates a new millionaire
That society is structured in this way to me seems unfair
'Tis an ill wind that does not blow somebody good you do hear some say
And sometimes lady luck behaves in the strangest way
But is this what the Human World is all about
For one for to win someone else must lose out
And that many must lose for a few for to gain
For to say the least seems a hard thing to explain.

Being wise and fool

Big gain big loss is a risk.
No gain no loss is secure.
Small gain small loss is safe.
Small gain no loss is wise.
Big gain no loss is luck
Small gain big loss is a foolery.
We have recourse to all these
Somewhere sometime impulsively.

The Workings Of Human Life

The workings of human life beyond me to explain
How one person's loss is another one's gain
And why some see greed as okay does seem puzzling to me
In this Human world of inequality
The pauper, the homeless, the poor refugee
A quarter of the World's human population in dire poverty
And billions of have nots are doing it tough
Whilst the privileged minority have far more than enough
Of money and every material thing
Yet many too many their praises do sing
In an age when poverty exists everywhere
Life is so hard for many in the big World out there
In a Human world where the gap between the haves and the have nots grow wide
Far too many of a fair go in life are denied.

The gambling

Life is a gambling
Where some get only gain
Some get only loss, and
Some get gain and loss
With net as gain or loss.

Losing My Minority

To lose one’s minority
Is not a bad thing.

With the loss of minority
come untold opportunities,
The magic of the number Eighteen.

With the loss of minority
Comes the lifting of the chains
That we once called childhood.

With the loss of minority
Comes college, then work,
Credit cards and Ebay.

With the loss of minority
Come parties and booze,
Familiar faces in the evening news.

With the loss of minority
Comes the search for a partner –
The thorn-lined chatrooms on rose-colored sites.

With the loss of minority
Comes the loss of virginity
And the loss of your sanity.

To lose one’s minority
is not a bad thing.

Young girl, welcome to your future.

My losses,

My loses,
My loses was with a call,
My losses was with a message,
My loses was with a man,
My loses came from them,
I made my loss that I was losing it,
Grab I to take away,
Losses that are so Dynamic,
My loss,
This is the loss that upon this soul,
My loses that I made it,
Loss it,
Iam losing that I may win,
Losing is the tight game,
Lose that is upon this soul,
Lose that I need to gain in profit,
Losers will fail,
Lose that I may win,
This is the calling of the lose,
That I may benefit,
Let me lose that I may win.

What Do I Do

Heard you speak one time in an interview
Was the sweetest lil' thing I ever heard
(Sweetest lil' thing I heard)
My eyes going down on you like a parachute
I wanna creep wit' you and thats my word
(Creep wit' you and that's my word)
Now I been knowin, mommy, for a while now
(A long time)
And GOD know she's been good to me
(Real good, real good)
But uh, I can't help it when I see you smile
Some thing tells me what I'm doin to her
That you would do to me
So what do I do.........................
What do I do
What do I do
What do I do
Some body tell me what will I gain
What will I lose
What do I do
What do I do
What do I do
Somebody tell me what will I gain
What will I lose
Help me out
Now Proverbs 18 verse 22 says
Standin' by the wife defines a good thing
Lyin' by her side thinkin' of you
I got to get up, go to the toilet
Wash my face, and clear my head
I gotta take you to a broad way show
Cause I don't wanna go by self
I'm like a kid wit' two ice creams, baby
And I don't want either one to melt
Cause ever since I heard you speak in that interview
It is an awful feelin' if I hurt her
Then some day you gonna hurt me too
What do I do
What do I do
What do I do
Some body tell me
What will I gain
What will I lose
What do I do
What do I do
What do I do
Some body tell me
What will I gain
What will I lose
I heard that
What goes around
Comes back around
And you're gonna read what you saw
Then everyone knows

Sat. Sitting. Still.

Sat here,
Right here,
Once in the snow
And thought about
That dismissive message of yours.

Sitting here again.
Thinking again.
Again.
A gain?
No.
A loss.
Still a loss.
Still at a loss
To understand.

Repentance and credit

The loss comes not from but through someone.
The gain comes not from but through someone.
Show not anger but give credit yet.

The loss goes not from you but through you.
The gain goes not from you but through you.
Yet you must repent but take no credit.

Lessons From A Loss...

i lose it
i am asking
what do i get
when i lose it?

i do not have
to be sad
i learn
the precious lesson
of a loss
and that is enough
gain for me.

Gain and loss

I bought an idol made of ivory.
All said it was good; it got its glory.
Who must I be grateful to:
The seller, the maker,
The smuggler, the very tusk
Or the elephant slaughtered?
Is such gain worthy?

I lost the idol made of ivory.
A treasure was it; I got fury.
Who must I blame for the loss:
The inmates, the servants,
The thief, his need and creed
Or the society that valued it?
Is such loss a pity?

Credits and blames on tracing
Would fizzle out to naught.

My Loss

Watching as you drive away
Speed away so fast
Knowing something's different now
That ending was our last
Nothing describes the emptiness filled inside
Take me to that place
Where everything's fine
And not a worry in mind
Sweeter to the taste
This is my loss (my loss)
I did it wrong and i'd do it again
To be with you feels like the right thing
This is my loss (my loss)
I did it wrong and i try to pretend
That nothing's changed for all that you bring
For all that you bring
Simple is so complex now
So I understand
That I never thought that happy could be distraught
Help me if you can
This is my loss (my loss)
I did it wrong and i'd do it again
To be with you feels like the right thing
This is my loss (my loss)
I did it wrong and i try to pretend
That nothing's changed for all that you bring
Well I know I'm wrong
And you know I'm here
I don't want to let you disapear
What am I worth when your eyes were
Begging me in fear
I only want to see you again
And repair the wounds that brought me in
I don't want to think it won't happen again
This is my loss (my loss)
I did it wrong and i'd do it again
To be with you feels like the right thing
This is my loss (my loss)
I did it wrong and i try to pretend
That nothing's changed for all that you bring
For all that you bring
For all that you bring
For all you bring

Not All Losses Are Bad

Loss, most of the time bad. On occasion, great!

SOME TIME A LOSS CAN BE GOOD!

Can loss sometime be happy. You bet! Ask some
divorced couples.

The other guy had a loss and I won!

My ex had a loss, of most of our assets. Yes,
you guessed it, I got 'em!

Insurance companies, now there's some, that
many take great delight,
when they suffer a loss.

When the tax man does an audit, if they have
a loss, we have a win! (best kind of loss)

The person who brings suite against you,
suffers a loss. (Ain't that sweet?)

A hostile mother-in-law, suffers a loss,
when her daughter gets divorced.

When one experiences a weight loss.
Now that's something that would make
millions of people happy!

When the owner of your building, is deemed
to be, 'rent controlled, ' it brings a loss
to the greedy titleholder. (break out the champagne)

When the neighbor you hadn't spoken to for years,
has a loss, of the keys, to her car.

When the kid, who keeps running over your lawn,
with his bike, has a loss, of the two wheel monster.

When you child, who you love, but drives you nuts
with their loud music, has a broken stereo,
and a loss of music. (They're unhappy. You're ecstatic.)

When one has a loss of sleep, because their spouse
was amorous all night. (Ahhhh, the good old days.)

When your in-laws, prepare to come to your house,
for the first time, and have a loss of directions.

When your spouse, who cremates every barbecue
they ever handled, has a loss of the coals.
(Actually you hid them.)

When the know-it-all comes to your home, and
can't say a word, because they had a loss of
their dentures.

Remember...If you have a loss, sometime,
the loss is good!

A woman grows at the peril of a man.
Every love ends in loss to man.
Yet no man seems to regret the loss.

William Shakespeare

Sonnet 42: That thou hast her, it is not all my grief

That thou hast her, it is not all my grief,
And yet it may be said I loved her dearly;
That she hath thee is of my wailing chief,
A loss in love that touches me more nearly.
Loving offenders, thus I will excuse ye:
Thou dost love her because thou know'st I love her,
And for my sake even so doth she abuse me,
Suff'ring my friend for my sake to approve her.
If I lose thee, my loss is my love's gain,
And, losing her, my friend hath found that loss;
Both find each other, and I lose both twain,
And both for my sake lay on me this cross.
But here's the joy: my friend and I are one,
Sweet flattery! Then she loves but me alone.
