The great kingdom among clouds
His children, His saints
His angels, rejoicing loud
How do I picture Heaven?
This astonishing, glorious place
Where I pray to have the honor
To gaze upon his majestic face
How do I picture Heaven?
The street paved in gold
Worth more than the richest treasure
Even grander than I was told
How do I picture Heaven?
Beyond light-years away from earth
Beyond mere galaxies away from pain
Even much further away all of the hurt
How do I picture Heaven?
Many mansions made of pearl
Luster brighter than the stars
One that shines across the world
How do I picture Heaven?
Free of worry and strife
No more heartbreak and heart ache
Looking forward to this eternal life
How do I picture Heaven?
On every face, there is a smile
The joy amongst his followers
Can be seen for many miles
How do I picture Heaven?
Land of milk and honey
Sweeter than grain of a sugar cane
And every day is sunny
How do I picture Heaven?
Or should I say, “The land of honey and milk”
With everyone in their marvelous robes
Softer than Egyptian silk
How do I picture Heaven?
Land of joy and bliss
If you are to miss the train
Oh! What a party you would miss!

With much dancing around the throne
No ailment, No sickness
No illness or broken bones
How do I picture Heaven?
I was told of a great feast
Food stretching beyond North and South
Further beyond West and East
How do I picture Heaven?
Christ went to prepare a place for me
More glorious than I have heard
I can’t wait to see
How do I picture Heaven?
As the angels spread their wings
Harps and trumpets are to sound
As his many children are drawn to sing
How do I picture Heaven?
Everyone stands in celebration
Forever shielded from the troubles
Forever shielded from the tribulation
How do I picture Heaven?
With amazing sights yet to be seen
More glorious wonders left to witness
For many, will be far beyond belief
How do I picture Heaven?
As the angels’ robes glisten
They shall sing many songs of Zion
All who have ears shall listen
How do I picture Heaven?
The legendary kingdom of glory
The masses, gathered in fellowship
And every day is Sunday morning
How do I picture Heaven?
The mere thought of a world without sin?
Sure hope I don’t end up
Left on the outside, looking in
How do I picture Heaven?
When we are called up into the air
I am doing all I can to go
I hope to see you there!

You were the harpist
At the gate of heaven.
I was about crossing that gate
when we first met.
I never though,
felt, or captured your inner songs
that flew with the harp melody
until I left heaven from the other gate.

Floating Around In The Atmosphere
With silver wings strapped to my back,
I soared up into the reaches of the sky
to get closer to heaven,
where I hope to be one day.
An amateur photographer
standing in a fog took a picture of me.
I came out as a tiny spec in the sky.
When the picture was blown up,
they couldn’t tell what it was
and I became a UFO,
a little green man
floating around in the atmosphere.

Moonlight On Her Hair
Once long ago I saw moonlight on her hair.
It captivated my senses and I could not stop my stare.
It created a picture that would always stay.
I prayed that this scene would never fade away.
The silken strands were gleaming
for the moonbeams that were streaming
and that picture is with me every day.
When I find I'm lonely because she's not here
my mind comes alive and the picture is clear,
Of all the things of beauty that have graced my eyes,
none could be more wondrous then the moonlit skies.
For it gave me a gift that always stays with me.
When I close my eyes it's her hair that I see.
Oh that I could touch those shining strands again
I'd know that heaven was with me and she'd understand
that moonlight for me is a picture of her
and when I see it shining all else becomes a blur.

Empty Picture Frame
An empty picture frame sits upon my desk
Where once upon a time a picture in it did rest
But now the frame stands lifeless and bare
Now it reminds me of a love that once was there.
As in the past the picture brought me happiness and joy
Gave me the reason to live and to write my story
To glance upon and dream of when no one was near
To speak the words of love when them she couldn't hear.
But when she left me I threw her picture away
But I kept that frame to remind me of that day
In remembrance of what she did in and out of my sight
As she was my candle but she blew out that light
So that picture frame I keep it in my plain view
So every time I see it I know what to say and what to do

But now picture is gone but the memories still remain.

Others taught me with having knelt at well-curbs
Always wrong to the light, so never seeing
Deeper down in the well than where the water
Gives me back in a shining surface picture
Me myself in the summer heaven godlike
Looking out of a wreath of fern and cloud puffs.
Once, when trying with chin against a well-curb,
I discerned, as I thought, beyond the picture,
Through the picture, a something white, uncertain,
Something more of the depths--and then I lost it.

I Can't Let My Heaven Walk Away
I cant let my heaven walk away
Just cant let my heaven walk away
Just gotta find a way to make her stay
I dont know what Ive done wrong
Look up and find my heaven gone
Called her name but I called in vain
I know she cant answer from a picture frame
Only an hour ago I held her in real flesh and blood
She just grabbed her coat and said please Ive had enough

Your attitude is like a box of crayons that color your world. Constantly color your picture gray, and your picture will always be bleak. Try adding some bright colors to the picture by including humor, and your picture begins to lighten up.
