Lessons In Hunger
'Do you like me?'
I asked the blue blazer.
No answer.
Silence bounced out of his books.
Silence fell off his tongue
and sat between us
and clogged my throat.
It slaughtered my trust.
It tore cigarettes out of my mouth.
We exchanged blind words,
and I did not cry,
and I did not beg,
blackness lunged in my heart,
and something that had been good,
a sort of kindly oxygen,
turned into a gas oven.
Do you like me?
How absurd!
What's a question like that?
What's a silence like that?
And what am I hanging around for,
riddled with what his silence said?

Say My Name
She says
my name
so sweetly
then wraps
it in silence
I listen to my name
hiding inside the silence.
then she unwraps
the silence
& says me
again.
I listen
to myself
upon her tongue
her mouth
forming me
framing me
within her voice
as if I were
a masterpeice
newly painted
still wet
glistening with
the secret of
its mystery
oh say me
again
say me again
I in an ecstasy
of being
my name
kisses upon her
lips.

Tongues
the tongue
of my body
is in the nerves
the tongue
of my soul
in the heart
the tongue of
my mind
in the head
the tongue
of truth and deceits
in the mouth
the tongue of
the World (Creation)
in the words
of God

Kissing is a rehearsal.
I managed to kiss her on lips.
Lips unlocked, my tongue slipped in.
It darted through lips and about
Her mouth, touching her tongue on tip
Then at bottom and at corners,
Sucking the tongue and swallowing the juice
Till she got fire at her bottom.
Resistance gone, she surrendered.
Kissing is just a rehearsal.
Her mouth stands for her lower one.
Man's tongue stands for his under part.
The tongue signals the man's prowess.

As A Matter Of Sustenance
as a matter of survival
the last bite of the chocolate
tongue need not be
delicious to the tongue.
you let it roll inside your
mouth, let the tongue relish
it a bit, till it melts there.
this is senselessly
numbing, such sweet
taste of life, and then
this emptiness of the
mouth, needing a fill
for a glassful of water.
this is senseless,
there is no more meaning
for the filling up and the
emptying, except the hands
that keep on running and
running meaningfully on
the keys, listening merely
to the sound of words,
and nothing more, there
is this senseless search
for an understanding this
logicality, this madness
for reason, the heart aches
in shame, unable to accept
the ease of an explanation.
let it be, let the eyes shed
tears, let the flesh tremble,
till darkness comes, till the
silence of the stars.

In Silence
You left the lines blank for me love
And again you ask why wrote my plaint
When you are in front of me I am lost
In the beauty of your hair your lips
In the gazelle eyes and the music
From the tongue that licks honey
When I open my mouth for my words
You place your finger on your lips
Enter the silence of my love else
I leave you in the oblivions vast
Like a flute from the reed in silence
Wail I long as separated from beloved
You make my silence in colors float
When in the bloom of spring I enter
The garden where nightingale sings
In silence sitting by the rose
In silence my love I live in thou

Walk On By, Walk On Me
your tongue pierced my fragile heart
careless words are daggers thrown
unaware unapproachable
unwilling silence from a sounding voice
you entwine praise with curses
your words burn like hell itself
silence from a sounding voice
all this by the tongue created
your words become hell itself
i lay bleeding in the flames
the tongue creates it tongue...

Blood On The Ground
I dont wanna talk to you anymore
Im afraid of what I might say
I bite my tongue every time
You come around
cause blood in my mouth beats
Blood on the ground
Hand over my heart I swear
Ive tried everything I could
Within all my power
2 weeks and 1 hour
I slaved and now
Ive got nothing to show
Oh if only youve grown
Taller than a brick wall
From now on
Gonna start holding my breath
When you
Come around and
You flex that fake grin
cause something inside me has
Said more than twice
That breathing this air
Beats breathing you at all
I dont wanna talk to you anymore
Im afraid of what I might say
I bite my tongue every time
You come around
cause blood in my mouth beats
Blood on the ground
Hand over my mouth
Im earning the right
To my silence
In quiet discerning
Between ego and timing
Good judgment is once again
Proving to me
That its still worth
Its weight in gold
From now on Im gonna be
So much more weary
When you start to speak and
My warm blood starts to boil
Seeing you is like pulling teeth
And hearing your voice
Is like chewing tin foil
I dont wanna talk to you anymore
Im afraid of what I might say
I bite my tongue every time
You come around
cause blood in my mouth beats
Blood on the ground
Im fast to a better judgment
By saying less today
I will gain more, gain more
No cheers to you my
My fickle friend
You, you brought
The art of silent war
I dont wanna talk to you anymore
Im afraid of what I might say
I bite my tongue every time
You come around
cause blood in my mouth beats
Blood on the ground

i wish i have a mouth that knows how to speak my love
i wish i have this kind of mouth that knows to speak
about my love
one that opens so easily and dashes with words like
you know i love you, tell me, do you love me too?
a candid mouth, like a shrew who gambles with words and
will not mind losing
a mouth who kisses your mouth without
shame and if shamed because you slap it
does not bother at all,
one who says, why hide love, why not pour love like a
strong wine to a chalice and let it warm
the glass and let the glass
be nothing but a glass
one that does not mind at all, one that loves and if not loved in
return takes the other possibilities
without regrets
or pain,
the mouth that i have is closed and will not open
afraid
i have kept the words
i love you only for you
like a worm inside my tongue,
wriggling
turning into a little butterfly
that never had the chance to see what is outside
and feel the freedom of air,
yesterday
it died and i keep it for the whole night
now, i spit it out
and my mouth closed again
eating only silence
while you just watch there
asking me
and i said there is nothing to worry
nothing at all
i just don't feel anything and there is nothing
worth saying, i look at you as you go, i hold only to your shadow
and you will never never never know,

Ch 08 On Rules For Conduct In Life - Maxim 23
Nothing is better for an ignorant man than silence, and if he were to consider it to be suitable, he would not be ignorant.
If thou possessest not the perfection of excellence
It is best to keep thy tongue within thy mouth.
Disgrace is brought on a man by his tongue.
A walnut, having no kernel, will be light.
A fool was trying to teach a donkey,
Spending all his time and efforts in the task.
A sage observed: ‘O ignorant man, what sayest thou?
Fear blame from the censorious in this vain attempt.
A brute cannot learn speech from thee.
Learn thou silence from a brute.’
Who does not reflect what he is to answer
Will mostly speak improperly.
Come. Either arrange thy words like a wise man
Or remain sitting silent like a brute.
I Wish I Have A Mouth That Knows How To Speak My Love

Adage 4
'Don't make use of another man's mouth unless it has been loaned to you.'
Belgian Proverb
if i let you borrow
my mouth
will you follow what it will say?
or will you tell it
what to say?
i am a poet
without a motive
my words speak for themselves
the only function of my
mouth and my tongue
is to eat
and shut up.

Sonnet: The Tongue
Tongue, the muscle belly in the mouth’s floor!
That grandmothers used to narrate folklore;
With sensors to taste the food that we eat,
And speak fluently with neighbors who cheat.
The boneless tongue gives creatures satiety;
In misdemeanor, speaks words so nasty;
The tongue-tied man cannot speak out too well;
The one with a long tongue argues like hell.
The tongue can emit both a soothing word,
And also cut like a double-edged sword;
The tongue helps one to sing a sweet song,
And touch one’s nose-tip whenever too long.
The tongue can start a war or conclude it;
Some stars use it for their kissing habit.

Put a bridle on thy tongue; set a guard before thy lips, lest the words of thine own mouth destroy thy peace... on much speaking cometh repentance, but in silence is safety.

Vomit Your Love
try learning to vomit
love
white foams coming out
from your mouth
some green
phlegm
excluded from your system
and then you will know
it is true love
when you decide
to eat them
all again
you swallow your pride
you take in
what you have taken out
perhaps
you were reckless
perhaps
your were imprudent
on some
indiscretions beyond your control
now you want
to take in
to be back
to where you think
you were once
happy and determined and settled
and stable like a post
a pillar
a tongue finally resting
within the walls of your teeth within the strong confines
of your mouth
in comfortable silence

Search For Clarity
Clarity.
There is something about it...
That lightens the burden,
Of becoming victimized by misunderstandings.
It is with clarity that one becomes free of doubts.
Or comprehending something unintended...
Someone takes and tosses about.
Most times gossiped from mouth to mouth.
The search for clarity,
Identifies aspects of honesty.
And truth uncovered involved in anything...
Can solve dilemmas.
And expose deceitful offerings!

Gandhiji Seeks Freedom
Bartered for violence, corruption, liquor....
Gandhiji seeks Freedom
Freedom from the heart of currency notes!
Quoted by politics, history, culture....
Gandhiji seeks Freedom
Freedom from the mouth of hypocrisies!
Showcased in squares, in buildings, in cites....
Gandhiji seeks Freedom
Freedom from the eyes of his crucifiers!
Masqueraded by every Tom, Dick and Harry
Gandhiji seeks Freedom
Freedom from the hands of his deceitful dupes!
The Mouth!
Everything that goes mouth is sensual!
the toffee run up and down,
the noise to blow up a tasty gum,
the mouth open in surprise!
Oh! ! ! !
Everything in your mouth is sensual!
the cleaning of its corners with the napkin,
the clicking of his tongue before you saying yes,
the soft against your lips when they meet one another!
Ah! ! ! !
Everything in ours mouth is sensual!
the dropp we exchanged wet through
Ours lips moving slightly,
Our kisses!
Hummm!
Everything in ours bodies is sensual!
what gonna in yours mouth!
What remains in it and
All that comes an goes!
Ui! ! ! ! !

Hidden Something
something that you promise not to see
again
the tongue hides within the mouth
it will not taste this again
the eyes roll
eyelids close as the scene is
repeated
it is about another form
of tongue-in-cheek
the mouth says something that it does not mean
the brain understands perfectly
like the heart
and so here it is again
viewed for the nth time
this time the conscience is numb
it says
another lie
it comes back again
savoring
what it says it hates
what it believes is too unlikely of its being
but what can you do
here it is again
mutually salivating

Sick
Sick 'I cannot go to school today,'
Said little Peggy Ann McKay.
'I have the measles and the mumps,
A gash, a rash and purple bumps.
My mouth is wet, my throat is dry,
I'm going blind in my right eye.
My tonsils are as big as rocks,
I've counted sixteen chicken pox
And there's one more - that's seventeen,
And don't you think my face looks green?
My leg is cut, my eyes are blue -
It might be instamatic flu.
I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke,
I'm sure that my left leg is broke -
My hip hurts when I move my chin,
My belly button's caving in,
My back is wrenched, my ankle's sprained,
My 'pendix pains each time it rains.
My nose is cold, my toes are numb,
I have a sliver in my thumb.
My neck is stiff, my spine is weak,
I hardly whisper when I speak.
My tongue is filling up my mouth,
I think my hair is falling out.
My elbow's bent, my spine ain't straight,
My temperature is one-o-eight.
My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear,
There is a hole inside my ear.
I have a hangnail, and my heart is -
what? What's that? What's that you say?
You say today is ... Saturday?
G'bye, I'm going out to play!'
