Greyscale
The heavy legs that drag across
A floor of cold, concrete
Still life
The photos a sepia frame
Of shutter chance
Un captured
(Would the taste of departure
Be sweeter then a memoir
Locked and kept like a mistress)
When the body lowers
Level with stone
Sleep is invasive
So persuasive
No longer elusive
As it was initially portrayed
In a black and white art
(Just loosing a foot over a scenery where people
Seem no bigger then ants under my shoe
Just to sense my body tingle in angst
Of itself)
Hush
Feign a silence
So becoming of nature
(A few tender feet closer
As the attention is spilled
In waking)
(Could it be a calamitous sting
To release the angst throughout
And greet the nation under my shoe
With a loud crashing shout)

Shoe Laces

Shoe laces
Don't come undone
Don't untie and stop all my fun.
I'm running with friends in this game of tag
To come undone would be such a drag.

Don't come undone
Don't untie and stop all my fun.
Trip me you'll do and skin my knee too
People will laugh and call me a foo.
Shoe laces
Shoe laces
Don't come undone
Don't untie and stop all my fun.
Look oh no you’re out of the knot
Unraveling and flaring, about to be caught
Under my foot as I step down
God oh no I'm falling...The ground!
Boom I hit and what do you know
My Knee is bleeding just like I told
People are laughing and pointing and staring
Why oh why did my shoe laces fail me?
Shoe laces

Did come undone
Did untie and stop all my fun…
LX. Life compared to a Walk
As the shoe's made to serve and fit the foot,
As the leg gives the measure to the boot;
So our possessions should be measur'd by
The body's use, and its necessity.
If here you stop, content with what you need,
With what will keep you warm, your body feed;
Within the bounds of temperance you live.
But if the reins you to your wishes give;
If nature's limits you but once transgress,
You tumble headlong down a precipice
Into a boundless gulph: this we may see
If we pursue our former simile:
For lets suppose your shoe made tight and fit,
Strong, warm, and easy, as 'tis requisite,
What more can be desired from a shoe?
'Tis all that hide, or thread, and wax can do.
But if you look for more, you're hurry'd on
Beyond your bounds, and then 'tis ten to one,
That it must be more modish, pink'd, and wrought,
Then set with pearls, from farthest Indies brought,
Then with embroidery and purple shine;
No matter if 'tis useless, so 'tis fine.
So there's no farther stay, no farther bound
By those, who exceed just measures, to be found.

I Am The Stone In The Horse's Shoe
I AM THE STONE IN THE HORSE'S SHOE
I am the stone in the horse's shoe,
The unwanted present that's no longer new,
I am the garden where the grass has died
And I am the tears that I cried.
I am the crust on the side of the plate
The left-over pieces that no one ate,
I am a shell washed in with the tide,
I am the echo after you lied.
Oh I am the heart that was beating with love
For the sun and the moon and the stars above,
I was the girl with wings of a bird
The one for whom it seemed that you cared.
But now I'm the stone in the horse's shoe,
Wave me farewell and kiss me adieu.

Stone In My Shoe
Music : rudolf schenker
Lyrics: klaus meine
I keep on dancin on the roof
Try not to fall, stay in the groove
A step too far. Im out of place
Life beats you up some of these days
Just like a whisper theres a voice
Inside of me
Its sayin you aint got a choice
Well, cant you see
Ooh, when your world comes tumbling down
Ooh, you better find a way around
I keep on walkin in the clouds
Find out what life is all about
I keep on runnin away from here
To learn the grass aint greener there
Just like a whisper theres a voice
Inside of me
Its sayin you aint got no choice
As you can see
Ooh, when your world comes tumbling down
Ooh, you better find a way around
Ooh, cause no one else but you
Ooh, can find the stone inside your shoe
Ooh, when your world comes tumbling down
Ooh, you better find a way around
Ooh, cause no one else but you
Ooh, can find the stone inside your shoe
Inside your shoe
Inside your shoe
Inside your shoe
Yeah
Keep rockin in the street
Keep landing on my feet
Keep runnin on and on
Still play my favorite blond
Keep rockin mother earth
Just all around the world
These days mean safer sex
Get my survival pack
My orgasm isnt faked
Ooh lord, I need a break
And whats annoying, too
Is that damn thing in my shoe
Ooh, there is a stone in my shoe

Heat The Body Gave
rain falling...
cold salvation drops,
tis blackberry winter...
the earth groans, trembles,
and shakes.
birdsong and coffee,
a warm place on the sheets.
coat on the hook, shoes on the floor,
but the body is gone.
now its bad news, hate news,
gunfire and heavy fog.
night and day, black and white,
the footprints all look the same.
the tin roof whispers in rhyme
to the cobwebs and shadows.
the tree that fell last winter,
becomes a house, perhaps a home!
the angry taste of change
still lingers in the mouth.
the hammer worn, the nails heavy...
and the heat the body gave,
turns chill, and black with empty!

A Pebble In My Shoe
a pebble in my shoe
i want it removed
a pebble in my shoe
a disturbance
in my mind
a pebble in my shoe
an enemy
in my feet
yet wait
let me recall
a grain of sand
inside the clam
a pearl
in my hand
once a pebble
in my shoe
let me walk again
let me remember
the pearl
in the clam

Tree, green of leaf and yellow of colour of flower waru
One in fence which close with the tree, leaf, and shoe flower
When I hence shoe
I see the that mother eye circumference is blue
Her heart of greeve of doily on above white cloth
A mother sit the above wood chair
her body is which coherent selnder of clothes
ruddle the shoe flower
at the same time her arms once in a while
keeps out of the dirt Iust
that Men swirl her lheart lake deepness in worried

Hurt at her blue heart
When extinct lamp

at the same time its days doily silent
what always reecho in her heart wall

at the same time close the door
with the crossbar of wood
and let the tree fence, leaf

In Perfect Harmony
My right shoe is white
and my left shoe is black
but they walk together
in perfect harmony.
If only life could reflect
my pair of shoes,
what a better place
this would be
with all of us
moving together
in perfect harmony.

Sweet Love Is Dead
Sweet Love is dead:
Where shall we bury him?
In a green bed,
With no stone at his head,
And no tears nor prayers to worry him.
Do you think he will sleep,
Dreamless and quiet?
Yes, if we keep
Silence, nor weep
O'er the grave where the ground-worms riot.
By his tomb let us part.
But hush! he is waking!
He hath winged a dart,
And the mock-cold heart
With the woe of want is aching.
Feign we no more
Sweet Love lies breathless.
All we forswore
Be as before;
Death may die, but Love is deathless.

Remembering An Old Friend
now, i found you,
bald, and fat and black lipped.
your shirt is tight wrapping your loose body.
the abs are gone
and the smile is having the pangs of
pain, if i may say the
exact word: the angst still hounds
and sounds
the memories of the hissing snake
looking for a secret moist place to live
for another day.
now you found me too
very much like you, the shape of my body,
the tone of my hair, the sound of my
cracking bones, and the
silence that reigns in my lips.
it is not that we are afraid to say
something we feel within
but it is just that we have nothing to say anymore
perhaps we are fed-up with the oral word
we keep our minds to searching the right words
of our existence
nothing about verbs anymore
but mostly
about adjectives
more in the past tense
and too interrogative
let me explain this to you, somewhere
perhaps, perhaps,
when we meet again
but how can i? as you said, our worlds are torn apart
by a distance
that we cannot bend to shorten it
to make it closer
i don't know, i still have to find my way back home
that friendship that we thought
may last.
i have my own world too,
and i know, you will not like it.

My bank roll's gettin' heavy in my pants

All the fine ladies scream
Murph Drag - Only people with money can do this dance
Can do this dance

Grey Day
When I get home its late at night,
Im black and bloody from my life,
I havent time to clean my hands,
Cuts will only sting me through my dreams.
Its well past midnight as I lie
In a semi-conscious state.
I dream of people fighting me
Without any reason I can see.
In the morning I awake,
My arms my legs my body aches,
The sky outside is wet and grey
So begins another weary day.
So begins another weary day.
After eating I go out,
People passing by me shout.
I cant stand this agony
Why dont they talk to me?
In the park I have to rest
I lie down and I do my best,
The rain is falling on my face
I wish I could sink without a trace.
In the morning I awake,
My arms my legs my body aches,
The sky outside is wet and grey,
So begins another weary day.
So begins another weary day.
In the park I have to rest
I lie down and I do my best,
The rain is falling on my face
I wish I could sink without a trace.
In the morning I awake,
My arms my legs my body aches,
The sky outside is wet and grey,
So begins another weary day.
So begins another weary day.

Butterfly
Butterfly, the wind blows sea-ward,
strong beyond the garden-wall!
Butterfly, why do you settle on my
shoe, and sip the dirt on my shoe,
Lifting your veined wings, lifting them?
big white butterfly!
Already it is October, and the wind
blows strong to the sea
from the hills where snow must have
fallen, the wind is polished with
snow.
Here in the garden, with red
geraniums, it is warm, it is warm
but the wind blows strong to sea-ward,
white butterfly, content on my shoe!
Will you go, will you go from my warm
house?
Will you climb on your big soft wings,
black-dotted,
as up an invisible rainbow, an arch
till the wind slides you sheer from the
arch-crest
and in a strange level fluttering you go
out to sea-ward, white speck!

Friends
Friends
A black cat wears a fixed smile, watches
as an express train, that has no doors,
runs into a tunnel where concrete and
water fall from the ceiling.
It is very cold the cat wears a silk scarf
and its best friend is a tame shark, that
lives in a pond, is cold too; starves also
it has bitten off the hand of its feeder.
We, the smart people, avoid door-less
trains, we fly instead and, like donkeys,
suffer in silence the indignity of airports.
where stars are tinkling cell phones.
The black cat meows it sits in a shoe
made of tiger shark leather, feels comfy
since it is raining outside also a tad sad,
the shark used to be its best friend.

Sleep? Date Written 05/02/2008
I should sleep, my neck it tells me so
But there within the cold quilt I'm alone.
I should sleep and leave this vile machine now
But it calls me to caress its keys once more.
I don't sleep the way I really ought to
My words they need insomnia to live.
I don't sleep and my life becomes a muddle
But there's nothing I can do to right this wrong.
I need sleep, my body's hungry for it
For I know that in the morning I'll be tired.
I need sleep for a dream of someone near me
But it won't fill the space that's empty by my side.
I won't sleep and my eyes will become blackened
And my body will yearn for tender touch.
I won't sleep for I'm running out of time here
And life is precious time never recouped.

That Red Dress
There you are
In that dress so red
Stirring up thoughts
Inside my head
You even have a hat
That's red to match
Uuuuh la la baby
You are quite the catch
And with those red stockings
Running all up your legs
It is tempting enough
To make me have to beg
And those red boots
That are on your feet
Well, I'm giving up
I'm giving in to defeat
Oh with that body
With the perfect mold
It is your body
That I wat to forever hold
So come a little closer
And just let me see
Just how your body
Was made to please me
So give me that body
That looks ah so well
And I'll follow you
To the depths of Hell

The Man And The Echo
Man
IN a cleft that's christened Alt
Under broken stone I halt
At the bottom of a pit
That broad noon has never lit,
And shout a secret to the stone.
All that I have said and done,
Now that I am old and ill,
Turns into a question till
I lie awake night after night
And never get the answers right.
Did that play of mine send out
Certain men the English shot?
Did words of mine put too great strain
On that woman's reeling brain?
Could my spoken words have checked
That whereby a house lay wrecked?
And all seems evil until I
Sleepless would lie down and die.
Echo
Lie down and die.
Man
That were to shirk
The spiritual intellect's great work,
And shirk it in vain. There is no release
In a bodkin or disease,
Nor can there be work so great
As that which cleans man's dirty slate.
While man can still his body keep
Wine or love drug him to sleep,
Waking he thanks the Lord that he
Has body and its stupidity,
But body gone he sleeps no more,
And till his intellect grows sure
That all's arranged in one clear view,
pursues the thoughts that I pursue,
Then stands in judgment on his soul,
And, all work done, dismisses all
Out of intellect and sight
And sinks at last into the night.
Echo
Into the night.
Man
O Rocky Voice,
Shall we in that great night rejoice?
What do we know but that we face
One another in this place?
But hush, for I have lost the theme,
Its joy or night-seem but a dream;
Up there some hawk or owl has struck,
Dropping out of sky or rock,
A stricken rabbit is crying out,
And its cry distracts my thought.

Tsunami's passing
The wave has come, now she has past, hush.
Her power, her might, her silent extinguishing strength.
Shhh, lie down, lie down, and sleep.
No longer are you alone, hush.
The four riders black, devestation, they come hush.
Now you can sleep, sleep the best sleep.
No more screaming, no crying, no pain, just sleep.
Sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep, shhh!
