That your getting married, on March fourteenth!
You knew that is my Birthday?
who would, or could ever think?
That you would have both planned it that way
in some sort of honored memory to me dear.
I'm blessed to know you both love me that much
for your wedding day with me to share.
I remember the first day they handed
your little precious body over to me.
Born in another woman's womb
but always felt you were, a real part of me.
You grew up with such sweetness
that you have shared now with your wife to be
and I'm honored to be now a part of you both

Once Upon A Wedding Day
Once upon a wedding day
A couple joined in a close association
with hopes of love and good fortune to stay
That brought a state of euphoria to them
In every distinguished way.
Once upon a wedding day
the memories of their courtship
Glowed warmly in their heart
Where care and cultivated affection
Ever played a fundamental part.

Today is your birthday
and you are telling everyone
that you are twenty-one years young.
The children don’t believe it
as it makes you younger that them.
When you tell them they say,
“In your dreams, mum.”
However, having said that
you are twenty-one to me
still filled with love and vitality.
We’re still young as when we fell in love
and today is your birthday.

Are You a Good Husband?
All married men want to be called a good husband
A good husband is a decent husband
Mr. Husband what you done to deserve this decency?
Has your wife ever referred to you as her good husband?
It is known that the eyes cannot see itself
Unless by reflection. Have you ever asked
Your wife for a performance appraisal
Honey, how did I perform last year?
On a scale of one to ten, one for very poor
Ten for excellent, how did I perform?
Your wife may think you are now on new drugs
If you receive less than six, you need to
Start fence mending before it is too late
A good husband sees his wife as his friend
A nice husband treats his wife as his lover
A decent husband regards his wife as a soul-mate
You should anticipate what your wife
Will need before she makes any request
By the way, have you ever bought a gift
For your wife without an occasion?
Do you have to wait for her birthday?
To inform her that she is very special to you?
Do you have to wait for your wedding anniversary?
To tell her that she is the best thing in your life
When last did you talk to your wife in-laws?

Happy Marriage
A little bit confused was beautiful Spring,
She had to choose for life a bridegroom.
Who will give her a wedding ring?
Three men wanted to be her happy and bloom.
March, April and May vied with each other.
About their great love they quietly talked.
April was for Spring like a brother,
With March she just often liked to walk.
Timid March gave her beautiful primroses,
Out of snowdrops he made a wreath,
He didn't want to know any losses,
He promised her the whole world's wealth.
Delicate and sweet was April.
He gave her a necklace of brilliant drops.
The life with him could be stable, - he said,
She'd be rich and would get good crops.
A wonderful May pleaded Spring:
You are my love! Take my wedding ring!
Be quick, Spring! Be my wife!
We'd be happy together the whole life.
And Spring trusted the handsome May.
Without any delay she sewed the white dress,
For the veil she took the apples blossoms.
That was her best and the happiest day.
The whole world was whirling in the dance.
May was getting married with Spring!
The Earth was full of love and romance,
Happiness to all this marriage would bring.

625 A Wedding Blessing
I wrote this blessing to read at my Granddaughter Rachel's Wedding. I read it just as we sat down for the Wedding Breakfast.
We stand before God to bless David and Rachel on their Wedding Day
May God - by whose will creation had its being
Bless you real good in your union together
May Christ seal your marriage with the seal of His love
May the Holy Spirit guide you in joy and peace.
We give thanks to God the Father who will bless you
To God the Son who rejoices - with us - in your spiritual union
To God the Holy Spirit - who will indwell you forever

Wedding Dance
WEDDING DANCE
Melvin Banggollay
While the gongs of golden bronze
fills the night with rhythmic music
at the beating of the beaters hands
women and men who hears the beats
sways with joy as they join the dance.
But while everyone feels glorious joy
with the rhyming beat of the night
a man and women can never enjoy
for pains of fate entwined their sight
as a man weds other woman's ploy.
Long before that wedding dance
Awiyao and Lumnay lovely glance
each other with tender romance
full of joy as they shared in a dance
a burning passion with good riddance.
But culture and birth along with fate
never let them be perfect mate
For after seven harvest never late
they can't bear a child to make
their marriage acceptable to take
according to customs they partake.
The couple were force to separate
by the dictate of the village beliefs,
That every married man must make
a child to inherit their namesake
If not, they must look another mate.
Lumnay deep in her heart can't take
such village traditions they all partake
for She loved Awiyao without mistake
only that she can't bear any child
even they had done all to appease
Kabuniyan to bless them with kids
by offering precious golden beads
and animals in rituals as they praise.
Awiyao, in his solemn voice
Said to her, if he had a choice
He prefer to share with her
a love with a love that will never
fade even beyond the grave
but He is a man of their culture
that he had to follow to explore
chance to have a child to adore
his name when he'll be no more
but if I will not bear fruit my dear
I will came back to you with cheer.
and hope that you'll still be here.

Go to the dance with my love's sheer
But let me tell you this my dear
I will never love no more, I declare.

Time To Share
Once we are saved and truly Born-Again,
The question may be, is what to do then?
With a heart filled with love and lead by The Spirit,
We share the Good News with all who will hear it.
The Good News to share is the Gift of Salvation,
To be shared with every tribe, tongue, and nation.
This Gift we receive, is truly one of a kind,
It is the only Gift that opens the eyes of the blind.
Yes, those who were blind and once trapped in religion,
Heard the Good News and made a life changing decision.
The decision that they made gave them a New Birth,
A Miraculous one that comes from no place on earth.
This New Birth comes from our dear Lord, in heaven above,
And once we are born-again, we are filled with His Love.
His Love fills you with a desire to share this Good News,
And understanding the times, there's not a moment to lose.
This Gift is by Grace alone and found through only One,
Through our Great Lord and Redeemer, God's only Son.
Time is very short and tomorrow may never be,
So today is the day in which to help blind men see.
