From a Dropout's Point of View
I remember when I cared
When getting to class on time was a nessecity
When homework was completed before I was home
When there was nothing lower than a 85 on my report card
But that's nothing but a memory
I've lost the desire to succeed
To push myself to the limit and beyond
To even come to class
To care about my life
I've lost myself
I've lost myself to the parties, the money, the 'lifestyle'
I just wish I could forget so it wouldn't be so painful to remember
I wish I found the old me
The me that cared about my life and everyone around him
The me that had every teacher's and student's respect
The me that was still in high school

A different type of homework
Being a science student I attended cookery class for only one term
(3 months) in Class 8th...This poem is a small contribution for the
Cookery Class when we had to make Cookies at home and take
them to school for checking/inspection :) I have tried to make it a
funny poem :)
I was given homework to do,
a good presentation I made.
Next day I showed it too,
and all my friends admired.
My teacher came to inspect it,
and she sniffed it like a puppy.
Then she took a small bite,
chewed it and looked happy.
She took another bigger piece,
munching away and smiling.
I watched not feeling nice,
seeing my homework disappearing.
Soon she had finished it all,
I stood with my mouth agape.
My homework seems vitamins full,
that a teacher ate it with a burp?
Normal marking of assignment is to make you pass,
What of tasting and then eating your homework?
Your marking is done like this in class!
in cookery class the teacher eats your work. :)

Things I Have Lost
During my life I've lost many things...
I've lost my teddy bear
I've lost my blanket
I've lost my bottle and binkie
---------
I've lost my homework
I've lost my backpack
I've lost my books and glasses
---------
I've lost my keys
I've lost my cellphone
I've lost my wallet and my credit card
---------
But with all the things I've lost,
I've NEVER lost a person like you
and don't plan on it any time soon.

I’m So Lost
I’m so lost
I’m barely alive
I wouldn’t be missed
If I were to die
I’m so lost
only my bills would miss me
My girlfriend wouldn’t know
until she tried to kiss me
I’m so lost
all my lost things I’ve found
Not sure if it was them
or me on the ground
I’m so lost
I don’t remember my name
What I do
or from where I came
I’m so lost
Who even cares
No one understands
Just a lot of blank stares
I'm so lost
and all alone
I can't reach you
even on the phone
I’m so lost
Just wondering around
If I were any more lost
I would probably get found

I'm a pupil
Not a teacher
I go to school
Islamic and western
A teacher in the class
I don't play or make noise
When at home
I read and play!
In school report card
I come first
Every body loves me
Lizard nodes head for me
Teacher gives me money
Mommy gives me chocolate
Daddy gives me a toy car
Birds sing for me
I smile! Laugh! ! And laugh! ! ! !
I'm still laughing
Ha! Ha! ! Haaa! ! !

Thank God I Found You
I would give up everything
Before i'd separate myself from you
After so much suffering
I've finally found a man that's true
I was all by myself for the longest time
So cold inside
And the hurt from the heart it would not subside
I felt like dying
Until you saved my life
Chorus
Thank god i found you
I was lost without you
My every wish and every dream
Somehow became reality
When you brought the sunlight
Completed my whole life
I'm overwhelmed with gratitude
Cause baby i'm so thankful
I found you
I would give you everything
There's nothing in this world i wouldn't do
To ensure your happiness
I'll cherish every part of you
Because without you beside me i can't survive
I don't wanna try
If you're keeping me warm each and every night
I'll be all right
Cause i need you in my life
Thank god i found you (i'm begging you)
I was lost without you (so lost without you)
My every wish and every dream (every dream, every dream)
Somehow became reality
When you brought the sunlight (brought the sunlight)
Completed my whole life
I'm overwhelmed with gratitude
Cause baby i'm so thankful
I found you
See i was so desolate
Before you came to me
Looking back i guess it shows
That we were destined to shine
After the rain to appreciate
And care for what we have
And i'd go through it all over again
To be able to feel this way
Thank god i found you
I was lost without you (lost without you baby)
My every wish and every dream
Somehow became reality
When you brought the sunlight
Completed my whole life (whole life)
I'm overwhelmed with gratitude
Sweet baby i'm so thankful
I found you
Thank god i found you
I was lost without you
I'm overwhelmed with gratitude
My baby i'm so thankful
I found you

My class
My class is a funny class
When the teacher is not in
Our class is a circus
That will conquer the school
We have acrobats
We have clowns
and we even have elephants
My class is a noisy class
When the teacher is not in
Our class is a market
That will conquer the school
We have hawkers
We have fruiterers
and we even have butchers
No matter what
A circus or a market
We enjoy our class
When the teacher is not in

Walking Away
Never thought to ever think twice
Of all he had
Of all he lost
A selfish life
and guess comes with the cost
Hey, remember me
I remember you walking away
Hey, remember me
I remember you walking away
The same old streets just a different name
Same old house just the family's changed
Pickett fence
The window stains
Freedom spells by a man in chains
Silence is all we have to give
And the memories of a life I wish we'd lived
Hey, remember me
I remember you walking away
Hey, remember me
I remember you walking away
From all that you made
That you lost
or threw away
Traded in for a brand new life
But I can't
Can't let go
Can't turn around
Hold my head high and walk away
Hey, remember me
I remember you walking away
Hey, remember me
I remember you walking away

Lost in Today
I’m lost in a handheld time
Lost in a time of top notch cell phones and laptops.
I’m lost in a time of chaos
Lost in a time of too much homework, too many sports, and not enough sleep.
I’m lost within a race
Lost amidst the fast paced hustle of getting into a good college.
I’m lost in the scheme of things
Lost in the constant pressure of what I’m going to do after high school.
I’m lost and I can’t find my way out
Lost and sinking fast.
I’m quickly losing myself to time
As forever paces on and on.

one day at school, Korea (1801)
I don’t like school, Sir
most venerable teacher;
and though you are kind, Sir
and all my classmates too
and you all help me study and learn
like you make me know
the first five characters in the alphabet
but the moment I am out of school
all I can remember
are the rice-cakes and sweets and the dumplings my mother makes
and true, Sir
most venerable teacher
you teach me the numbers
and I can count from 1 to 5
when I am in class
but when I’m out
I love the toys my father brings
and I play with the wooden toy soldiers
and I love the ducks and the clay horses;
and I really can’t remember the first five letters
or the first five characters
when I lie in bed
and when I am back in class Sir
dragged in by Old Madam Toothless Bong
who always knows where I am wherever I try to run
I can’t remember anything anyone taught me, Sir
most venerable teacher...
I know Sir
all of you have spoken to me
and my dad and my mom
and Old Madam Toothless Bong
and all my friends in class
I must study so I can go to the city and find work
but alI I want to do, Sir
most venerable teacher
is to play and eat and sleep when it is time
and one day, Sir
most venerable teacher
(I know you worry about me)
when I’m grown and big
I’ll make toys and I’ll sell them
and make money for me and my family;
and I’ll make all those sweets and dumplings
and feed my family...
so please, Sir
most venerable teacher
because I don’t like school
and I can’t remember anything
do not worry about me and let me go to the fields now
and I shall grow to be tall as the trees
and as rich as the rice fields...

I Remember.....
I remember going to your house,
Staying up till the early hours of morning
I remember shaving our legs together,
And putting on lotion;
I remember when we went to Winnipeg just a few weeks ago,
And tried on the really good-smelling perfume
I remember going to the park together,
Sometimes at lunch, sometimes after school
I remember “doing our homework”,
When really we just wanted to be together
I remember the first time you took me to your youth,
And saturate,
And our much fun we had
I remember having sleepovers,
How I would always fall asleep before you
I remember just this past year when,
For Christmas, you gave me love and reindeer socks
I remember writing notes to each other,
In class,
Sometimes getting caught, most often not
I remember using this type of font to do our E.L.A homework,
Of course waiting till the last minute
I remember your hugs and how you were most often there,
Even when I acted like a bear
I remember us being annoyed at each other a lot,
But we always made up the next day
I remember how cheesy this poem may be,
But I just wanted to say,
I love you **, and I will remember you till we meet again

Remembering This Summer Of Mermaids
Walking along the beach
I'm lost in my thoughts
I'm lost in my memories
Just thinking about them all
I know summer's about over
But my thoughts continue to go over
what happened to me over this time
span
My thoughts also go back to special times
that I spent with many of them
Yes, to me
It was a summer of mermaids
The many times we shared
The friendship you all gave to me
It showed you all truly cared
I'll always remember those moments
in time
As we shared them on land and sea
The sun is starting to set
But you all, I'll never forget
Swimming somewhere or swimming
far away
I know you all will always remember
As I'll always remember you all
Remembering this summer of mermaids
I'll never forget it
As I know I was truly blessed

Trust is found
Trust in man was lost today
Trust in man that is never quite regained
Trust was lost when you started to betray
Trust was lost when you didn't care enough to say
Trust was lost when you used me as your social play
Trust was lost when you hurt me in front of family and those that used me as prey
Trust was lost when you denied me of my greatest day
Trust was lost when you ignored my loves and hates
Trust was lost when you borrowed and never repaid
Trust was lost when I gave and you treated me as a slave
Trust was lost when I cared and all you wanted was pay
Trust was lost when I loved and you treated me as the fool
Trust was lost when I had a great passion and you treated it as a ration
Trust was lost when I looked in your eyes and saw the truth, but you continued to lie
Trust was lost when I asked you to help and you never even tried
Trust was found and everything turned around
When I lowered my head and looked up to the Masters stead
Trust was found and with it came the sound of the beginning to an eternal round
For on that day trust was found
Trust becomes sound, only when man looks around and realizes that
The only trust to be found is in him-self and the one that gave us ground
TRUST WAS FOUND!

To Every Student
In every school, to every student
there's a special teacher.
To every teacher, to every student
there's a special bond.
To every bond to every moment
There's a special time that we'll think
back and say to ourself's "That teacher
really cared!"
If you know that teacher cares
you're life will brighten up.
Cause now you know that
if you fall, that same special teacher
Will come and help you up.

Homework Time
Wake up, wake up! It's homework time,
Remember you promised to start by nine,
I heard my mother uttering these lines,
I think beginning the task in time,
Keeps me alert, active and fine,
Regular homework makes me shine
Among my class-mates and
The pupil of class five's line,
Credit goes to my homework time.

Lost One, Have One
Everyone have a dream
Some go, some withdraaw
I went and went far
I had a dream
I have a dream
I dreamt with open eyes
Dreamt with two
One for heart
Another for family
One dissolved, another resolved
One dream happens once
Once in life, once for all
Fortunately it happend to me
Unfortunately was broken
Lost one, have one
I had a dream
To defend her at heart
Be in her arms
Set her in my eyes
Spend an age for her
I had a dream
To live with her
Make a family of her
It was a whole half
Remained only with half
Dreamt her to become
My piece, My sprit
This was a heart dream
This was a lost dream
Dream of every second in a minute.
I have a dream
Get a good name
A standard fame
Rank in the starta
Obidient son extra
I have a dream
Making my brothers proud
Being high in crowd
Hearing my talks in class
Name in mass of every class
I have a dream
Be loyal to my mom
Glad to be a son of her
Pleasure to be a son of my dad
Satisfied as a son of them
I have a dream
Be with my family
Respect my family
Tradition what has changed in others
Let not change for me forever
I have a dream
See my dad happy
Feel my mom, s love
Be under my brothers care
In one home till the end
I have a dream
To become the best teacher
To become the best friend
To become the best citizen
To my students, Friends and nation
I have a dream
Regain the tradition
Decentralize the vulgarity
Bring back the chastity
Let the birth have naturality.
I have a dream
Make my lost dream alive
Set her in my growth
Experience her in my growth
Measure my beats in her
I have a dream
To still her with me
Spear my hear in her heart
To fulfill my left dream
Being in her, with her
A dream is designed
By many hopes and desires.
A dream is built.
With true emotions and Feelings.
A dream is a teacher
To a student.
Dream is a beauty
Where charm never departs.
A dream is a lover
To a true lover.
Dream is a timer
Felt when aparted.
Dream is a talent
Possesed by few.
Dream is a substance
For a every art.
Dream is a dream
When it is fulfilled.
Dream is also a dream
When it is broken.
Dream is a colour in ones life
Dream is happiness.
Which can be persuaded
Only persuaded not have.
I had two dreams
Lost one, have one.

What Money Can’t Buy
You look good and you know it too
Why no one is as pretty as you
You bought yourself a new car,
Fancy clothes, going to the bar.
High heel shoes, elegant jewels
Ready to party, no hard rules
You think you’re full of class
Your money says it’s so
Always on the go, spending that money
Well just remember this honey
Money can’t buy you class, happiness or respect
Not knowing what you’re doing, be careful what you get.

Elegy For A Lost Friend
(Note to the reader: I never intended to write something as angry as this, but to get something from out of my system so strong, I felt I had to…. My apologies if anything within this poem sounds offensive….)
We were children at school. It was 1975 we met.
I recall it so clearly, how could I forget.
You were lovely, you had it all, you were wild,
We had a ball.
And later you had wit, and intelligence so much
And how glad I had found you, had found you,
What luck.
The years went swiftly and we parted for Uni,
Some years we lost, but regained the time
As professional careers beckoned,
Our friendship returned so fine,
And to the Olympian heights of Oxford you went,
Living a fantasy, Evelyn Waugh-esque life,
Never knowing that it would become your eventual downfall,
Because it was there you met your wife.
I never liked her, nor her family, nor liked her desire to hunt.
I’d always seen her as pathetically hollow,
Had she been a pool you would never have drowned,
She was simply that shallow.
But you besotted, and love renders the wise blind,
I saw her destroy you, love, destroy you over time.
You parted in 1992. She’d taken enough, she didn’t need you.
Returning to Oxford with another fool in tow, I was so angry.
The years of drink then took its toll. I saw your career fold,
It was all so painful, no story could have told,
The truth that lay behind her lies. I cannot think of anything about her,
Except for the word ‘despise’.
I tried to stop what you had done, reverse you back,
Back from where you had originally come from.
But I lost the war, I lost the fight,
For you had gone, my friend, you had lost life’s brilliant
Light.
I last saw you in the nursing home. It was over a year ago, a while
I know.
The looks now faded, your brilliant mind lost,
A day is confusion; the past has dearly cost.
Your eyes that sparkled have lost their lustre of wit,
And all for what? Some silly bitch? A pompous, pseudo upper-class git.
In sportswear you sit, smoking in silence, as I tried to speak.
But to you, I’m not there. The room is silent, to you, you’re alone,
So after two hours I get my coat and drive home.
Tears dash the road ahead. Tears mist the rushing scene,
There is nothing I can do, life is so obscene.
As in my mind I still picture you there – lost in vacant stare.
Life can be so unfair.
Life can be so unfair………………………..

I Was Born When Cameras Were A Luxury
i was born when cameras were a luxury
far removed from the middle-class homes-
no faded and moth-eaten photographs
to spring memories of my lost childhood
from those frozen frames-
what were my thoughts and fancies then?
memories are blind and dumb
till i was six years old-
none cared too to remember my acts
to retell when i yearned to learn about my baby life-
really sad that i am unaware of those casual days
when life was given no special importance,
soaking in flashes of lights-
who knows what i prattled
and how i spent my idle hours in play-
o how many years of autobiography
have i lost in dim darkness?
must be the same for every guy of my age-
o time, walk back in slow steps into my toddler's days;
reveal me the imprints of my kid steps on your sands-
as i ripen in age, the hunger grows more for my baby years!
