The morning firmament turns dark
Sheaves of cotton cloud billow and lurk
The scrumptious little pie sits on my table
I look outside and see the rainy rebel
The wind chime tinkles a mirthful tune
And I remember the days cold and prune.
The lonely trees in the neighborhood
Dance and sway like loyal myrmidon.
Dollops of happy thoughts fill my heart
As little drops patter and call me spoiled brat
The unadulterated, succulent rain
Bring home happy thoughts and plaintive refrain
The somnolent air lulls me to sleep
The soporific lids thy thoughts lip
The juvenile splendor of the idyllic day
When you and I with glee might lay
On the drenched grass and enjoy
The cavalcade of the pouring rain
The umbrella with a broken rod
Covered with soot the little frock
The smiles of innocence oozing with glee
We promised together we would be
The susurration of the blowing wind
Two little hearts, two puerile minds
The dusty bicycle we often would ride
I would always be by thy side
As you paddled the meandering lanes
The drops of friendship the sky rained
The red brick wall along the road
Still imbibe the stories untold
The smell of strawberry from the last candy
Our cheery life sweet and dandy
I still hear the merry laugh
When nobody would talk about our tactless gaffe
Merry go round the childhood days
I often miss them- my sensitivity says
The bicycle paddle still now move
The eternal rain is still extant
That old umbrella rest in peace
With disuse our childhood now cease
The pattering rain on the tile above
The billowing clouds our childhood absorb
You and I are forever friends
Partners in mischief and soul mates
The mature earth now plays again
Let's go and drench in the rain
With swiftness let our steps move
With lack of gravitas let us prove
That childhood stays forever in the heart
Time, the fleeting bird might flow
With time the body might grow
But in the heart may childhood dwell
In the drops of merry rain it again swells.

Rain Drops
Here comes the grey clouds
rolling in,
Spreading rain all over the
town.
Rain drops help to moisten
the earth's beautiful green
grass.
Sidewalks once dusty are
washed and cleaned.
Rivers and lakes are given
plenty more water.
Fishes swim around happy
beneath the rain drops,
creating millions of ripples
upon the water.
Flowers and plants no longer
Thirst,
Even trees and bushes seem
to dance after a good drink
of water,
Animals get their fill of
water too.
Just Like a shower,
Rain drops clean and
cleanse everything,
Leaving the earth refreshed
and renewed.
After the storm has passed,
The sun shines spreading its
warmth.
Rain drops that are left behind
on Flowers, plants, trees and
grass,
It is like heaven for many insects
to fill their thirsty little
mouths.

Without rain drops everything would
never be the same.

When I Feel The Rain I Live
Outside it's raining and i'm watching at my window,
In silence of the world, only the dance of rain i could feel,
My thoughts are in torment of questions and answers,
Only the rain knows what i need.
Rain falls gradually in the rhythm of my thoughts,
I feel it's wrapping my pain,
The voice of rain calming my senses,
When my heart is rushing to beat.
I'm watching rain from window,
The cold drops are touching the thirsty ground,
My soul is the same as the soil,
It needs love as much the soil needs rain.
I'm walking in cold rain,
Like crystal pearls are falling from the sky,
When touching my skin it's like magic,
I feel my soul light and released of pain.
I'm listening the music of the rain drops,
And on this music i am dancing, speeding around,
With my arms wide open touching rain drops,
Rain is caressing me with its voice and touch.
I adore rain, it's all my sould wanted,
Caressing me, awaking life in me,
When i feel the rain and listen to its rhythm,
I wish to live again, again, again.

Let Me Stand In The Rain
Let me walk down that cold blurry road;
feel the cold rain down my hair
the wind blowing twisting and turning
to avoid the cold rain
let me feel the cold rush through my body
let me avoid the hate; make them all drown
let the rain wash them away
let me stand in the rain
I'll stand up on top of the black pavement and hear the pounding of the rain
I'll cry and let the tears fall down with the rush of the rain
theres no need to hide in the dark
no need for an umbrella
theres no need for someone to say 'I hate you'
I'll just stay hidden in the rain like a dumb girl
I'll stand there till Romeo comes and save me
but I, the foolish one can only imagine the rubbish things a fantasy book would want
let me stand in the rain and protest my love to Romeo
it's not an obsession its a misunderstandment
like me foolishly standing in the rain, waiting for nothing
but drops of lies
not one or one night I will forget Romeo
He should be thoughtful I put some care and thought for him

My Sneaking Tears
How heavy fell the rain that day
From burdened clouds of mournful grey.
The torrent forced them stay their height -
Composure swayed by onerous might.
My skin wrung wet with icy chill
As mud embraced that sodden hill;
But mind of mine had elsewhere gone -
'Twas clouds abandoned I was on.
The driving drops advanced their gears
To camouflage my sneaking tears -
Whence now did swell such floods of pain
To see me melt into this rain…

Life is A Dance In The Rain
It's raining, it's quiet, only i can hear the rain,
Freshness of air is invading my breath,
The echo of drops falling, the purity of the sky,
It's giving me peace and relieves my pain.
Sky get open and crying,
Its tears are falling down to us,
To caress our faces with its drops,
To embrace our hearts with the mistery of life.
I want to embrace the rain,
And feel the drops falling on my face,
I want the rain to wash away my sorrows,
And let my fears run away.
Don't be afraid of rain, we are just two souls dancing,
Dance with me following the rhithm of rain,
Let the rain to make our love magic,
Let life to flow in its misterious way.
I am listening the rain and enjoy its greatness,
I want to catch every dropp of rain,
I want to dance with you in this magic landscape,
I want to live and relive this moment again and again.
Enjoy life, live fully every moment you can,
Do not waste those exciting moments,

February Rain
To be the mud, the bog, the mire;
To soak the bones in February –
Eons from the autumn shower–
Even from a summer berry!
Sparrows chirp a desperate call,
Darting questions at the cows –
Oblivious to the dousing squall, they
Churn the sludge with pastern ploughs.
The crying air was lost in rhythm:
Drums incessant in the drops;
Not a chance for rainbow prism –
Even if the hammering stops!
Metallic chills entrap machines –
Tractors hushed within the shed.
Inside the house, a full cuisine
To bless with mead – and little said!
But out across the tiring field,
A sodden fox is hunting down
His prey of sorts – but nil of yield;
Perhaps he’ll starve; perhaps he’ll drown.
Still the clouds are hammering,
Hammering home their dreary aim –
A chatterbox in constant yammering,
Drenching all to make a claim.

If the rain drops,
It doesn't fall on one man's head;
So, this poem is about to make you learn.
If the rain drops were sticks of cigarettes,
Many of us will smoke to death;
If the rain drops were bullets from heaven,
Many of us will dropp dead at once;
If the rain drops were roses of love,
Many of us will make love one night;
If the rain drops were trees,
Many of us will sleep on them;
If the rain drops were stones,
Many of us will be admitted in the hospitals;
If the rain drops were men,
Many women will fight for them;
If the rain drops were women,
Many men will kill for them;
If the rain drops were birds,
Many of us will learn to fly;
If the rain drops were acid,
Many of us will be admitted in hell;
If the rain drops were flowers,
Many of us will beautify our homes;
