Forever Begins

The silent night calls, resilent as I emerge.
Silly ideas of skipping class or playing sick.
Hard knock life been a month no books can't blame mom for trying.
No loan, the government said she made too much; could you believe that. Faithful still going to Sunday school better believe it that is the highlight of my day. God is helping me pass my classes; feeling great as I receive passing grades.
English teacher, just got finished helping my cousin with his first poem.
If I tell him I'm proud that will be the end of me.
Honor student at the age of fourteen and is a freshmen now. Nevertheless I came up short when I dropped all I was doing to see him graduate.
Overwhelmed I slept over at the airport for my first time and didn't think nothing about it. Well actually right around that time he inspired me to write poetry.Self conscious being, I didn't actually sleep at the airport.
In fact I don't rest at night; my moms struggles keep me wide awake.
Loving her is loving me. Hope I never become senile when it comes to respecting women.
Haters going to hate but how can they stop my flow - they not Moses.
When I go forever will begin.

Where they belonged

When I was in metric
(now grade twelve)
in the agricultural science class
an English girl took a chair
next to me
who had a secret crush
without getting
any attention from me.

I just wasn’t taken with her
and she was a little brash
and they lived
on the other side
of the railway tracks
and she had a reputation
of sleeping around.

When we studied
animal copulation
she acted as if
she didn’t really understand
and asked me some questions
which made me blush
and it was clear
that she had other plans instead.

Ignoring her didn’t help much
and heart broken she went to cry
on her sister’s shoulder
who was my class teacher
and taught me English
at the time.

We did an IQ test
(the first in my years at school)
and I scored only too well
and without really knowing
my personal circumstances
the teacher told the class
that I was lazy,
but much more than that
she marked my English grades down.

I didn’t know what had got into her
and in the second quarter
like a angel from heaven
a female inspector
(specializing in English)
visited the school.

She couldn’t understand
why my marks had slipped so much
and we had a very nice chat
where she demanded
all my English books and tests.

She graded everything again,
my grades took a hike,
the teacher was called in
and almost did the same
and after that
my grades were where
they belonged.

Dedicated To My Mom

It didn’t hurt when, I failed my freshman year
I knew that in a way I had to so our family can stay together
It didn’t hurt when I had to go live with my dad
I knew it was best and I would be able to with you again
It didn’t hurt when I stayed with dad almost over a year,
I knew what we had to fix would take more time
It didn’t hurt when I started living with you,
I knew that our lives are going to change forever.
It didn’t hurt went I went to your graduation for life works.
I was proud to see you clean and full of life.
Tears were shed,
Feelings were shared,
Stories were told,
Hugs were given,
And lives were changed.
I knew our lives were going to be different,
As long as I have you there to guide me along the way,
I know I will succeed.
This is for you mom for doing great,
For getting what you had to get done,
Achieved.
I love you,
And am proud to be your daughter,
So I wanted to show it to you.
So this is for you.
Mom,
Seeing you graduate from your classes inspired me,
I know now that,
If you stick to something you can
Conquer it.
I got to see you graduate and now you can see me.
So this is for you,
Mom.

Didn't Expect It

I never thought you will move back to California forever because of me I make you leave here
I’m feel so horrible and I
Didn’t expect it
Once I found out it hurts so much
It opens my eyes
Now you are gone
I didn’t make right choices and
Break you into million pieces
Things will never be same
I’m so sorry
I feel like I know you forever
We were so close in school in 10th grade
How I can get over you
You were different and what I’m looking for
I can be me around you and have fun with you, but
Things change in 11th grade
I can’t smile, laugh, and have fun like I use to around you
I regret for not dating you
You know how I feel about you
I never give us a chance
What have I done?
I didn’t see how you were good for me
Letting you down, I feel so bad
Most of poems I write are about you
That’s all I think to write about is you
I’m out of words to write because of you
On the hand
You told me that you never want to go out with me
It don’t seems like you mean it, I bet you did
You wish we were dating by the way I’m with other guys and
Not with you flirting, smiling and having good time
Memories of us have fun, laugh, hurt by each other,
Joy and time we had spent in class in 10th grade
I never going forget it after all and
It impossible to do that
I miss you too much I know I have to let you go, but
It hurts too much and to be with other guys
It’s not same like when I with you and
I can’t love them like I did with you
All I think about is you
There something I need to figure out
Why I can’t let you go yet?
What I like about you that was special?
I don't know yet
I'm so clueless
I bet you had move on and dating someone else
It’s not my business
I need to move on too
You gone forever and
You thought you knew me but you don't, I do
I’m not going let you hold me back
I make you wait too long
I thought second chance
I will I get you but I didn’t
I lie and you hate people lying to you
You did too and you put people in your games
I did or say things make you change your feelings about me
I was so confused and hopeless
It all happen so fast and so much going on
I feel so bad
My life getting worster in school
I can’t blame you and I
Didn’t expect it
When you hurt me back and get revenge
You are one to blame on and me too
This end in tragedy and so many damages happen
This is life
We are one to be blame
We like to get attention that’s
What all our friends say I bet
We turn out to be jerk especially you
I will never spread rumors about you like the way you did to me
I feel so hurt and sad that you did that
This side I never saw before
You do anything to hurt me back so badly
My heart is shatter
I thought you were different
Everything reminds me of you
My friends were right about you
I need to take their advices
They getting tired of this and mad
They hate when I changes
They want me stop living like this
You never care about me
Wow, I’m shock right now
I feel so dumb for loving you this long and so much
I’m just speechless right now and I need to live my life
Having fun every day and night
Life is short like I say
Didn’t expect it
To know it now is better
I can move on for good
I’m stupid to wait around longer
Their never going be us or chances going happen
Is all over now and
You live in west of United Stated
I need to trust people and stop lying
Didn’t expect it

Love (Love Is Really Blind)

She was a little dark,
but for loving her I didn't make any fuss.
She was a bit short,
but for loving her, nothing could stop.
She looked just so so,
but for loving her, nothing could hold.
She was big and fat,
but no one could drive between us a wedge.
She was not a uni-graduate,
but for loving her I never hate.
She was as poor as church mice,
But I thought she was Miss Right.
All the drawbacks I didn't mind,
because Love Is Blind.

One day she had an affair with a guy,
making my blind love go dry.
I shot a bullet into her head,
causing her an instant death.
I couldn't see the consequence of crime,
because Love Is Really Blind.

My Poem Came To Me In The Night

MY POEM CAME TO ME IN THE NIGHT

My poem came to me in the night
Long after I should have gone to sleep
It came with darkness inside and a fear of darkness deeper still-
It was a poem of the end of the earth
A dark poem
The last poem of the day and perhaps the last poem of forever-
It came to me in the night
And made me write it down gently
And said because there is no time left
It is impossible to add on to it
Or give it true character and feeling.-
The poem of the night and its darkness
Stilled me into vulnerable silence
And I slept and went to sleep
Far from the page I wrote.

Mom, You Didn't Know

Mom you didn't know
How hard it was for me to take this journey
Mom you didn't know it was a hard time in school
the fear of getting bullied,
the shame when I can't answer our teacher
the feeling of being isolated, alone, neglected
Mom you haven't knew that, you didn't know how i feel
But I couldn't just tell you
I know you had a lot of things to think of
I don't want to be an added burden to you
I love you Mom,
I hope you were there at those times
But its all okay Mom
It turned up to be okay
After all, there's God all the time
This is the best thing you did in my life
to make me know God
to let me grow in Him
I am stronger now, but not of my strength but of His
Everything was His arrangement
He probably had allowed you not to be with me most of the time that I may learn to trust on Him.
Mom it's okay you didn't know because now,
I'm trusting HIM.

College Campus

Colleges are very large.
There isn’t much heat.
If you walk into a dorm,
You’ll notice it isn’t neat.

The kids spend much free time in the field house,
Playing sports no doubt.
They spend not much time on homework,
As their grades go down the spout.

It depends on the student’s age,
The freshmen don’t really try.
But when the midterms come in,
They surely will cry.

The Upper-class students, though, are intelligent,
They keep good watch on their schedule,
Because they know if they work hard
For any great job, they could be eligible.

Graduation week comes around quick
And the seniors are a very important group.
The parents will be very proud
But their jobs will tie them in a loop.

College

It's something new, excited and different to look forward
This is what I been waiting for
It's where dreams begin
College
Help me prepared for life, but my high school didn't
It changes my life in so many ways
I feel confidence, happier, and independent
I doing one thing I love the most, and it's going to culinary school
I learn so much in one semester already
The teachers want me to success in life and help me so much
It's hard to catch up
The feeling I can't even describes when I first came to this
College
It's fit my schedules and my classes is only couple days a week
I can take morning, afternoon, or night classes
I am doing this for myself, my life, dreams, hope and becoming adult
I hope you enjoy it like I did one day

Letter to my Father.

If I try to go back into the hands of time
I can't recall the first day of my life
But with care and affection from mom I grew up
With the passing of age to school I went

Father you made me go to school
You made me keen to be in class
And saintly made me take pen and paper
And painted my books with a the colours of my writing

I must apologise my father
Despite the years in class I am not a doctor
Nor a pilot or a lawyer or the teacher you intended
Because I got tired of the books
When I could not cook the answers
I walked out of school

But father do not scold me
Nor poor cold water on my path
Cool down your wrath and smile
I am a self made man of God
I run a multimillion church with a large flock
And I milk them well by the Bible fodder

Father I write this letter to you
Beseeching you to revoke your decision
Of banishing me when I dropped out of school
Because father,
I dine with the kings, date the queens
And I still preach to the emperors of the land

A Poem Especially For You

I write this poem,
Especially for you.
Hope you like it too.

I love this poem,
Hope you love it too,
Especially for you.

I love you so much that,
I Dream of you every night,
Especially be with you.

I write this poem,
Especially for you,
To remember your loving smile.

Give me your smile,
Give me your cheerful face,
Give me your Laughter.

Only this poem can,
Take your heart away.
Especially made for you.

I say this poem,
Especially designed for you,
In remembrance of our True friendship.

In this moment of life,
I share this poem
Especially with you.

In this precious memory,
I want you to know that,
I forever love you.

To say the right words,
At the right time;
Especially for you, is hard.

More than any right words,
I composed this poem,
Especially for you,

So that the world may know that
I fall in Love with you again.
Especially with you.

That Lovin' You Feelin' Again (feat. Roy Orbison)

When I saw you standing there on the street
I found myself by your side
I started wanting you again
There's just no way to hide from that old
Loving You feeling again
It's really got me reeling again
It only seems to stop to start all over again with you
I remember how you'd always been
That certain look in your eyes
Your not easy to resist
But I just walked on by
With that loving old feeling again
It's really got me reeling again
Only seems to stop to start all over again with you
Loving you feeling with you
We were so close we were too far apart
I gave you my love
I wanted your heart
Without yesterday haunting the way
Maybe we'd still be together
Sharing that loving you feeling again
It's really got me reeling again
Will it ever stop and not start over again
That loving you feeling again
No matter how much I try
This loving you feeling
It's taken such a long time to say goodbye
And getting over you is so hard to do
With this feeling loving you
That loving you feeling again

Being A Poet

I find that I can compose a poem best,
When I am out walking, or am at rest.
When I am lying in my bed at night,
I think about what I am able to write.

Or when I’m out walking, or sat on a train,
Words and ideas, all rush round my brain.
Sometimes, ideas just appear in my head,
Or may be a result of something I’ve read.

At fellow passengers, on a train, I take a look;
Some chatter away, while others read a book.
But, me, I’m sat there, quietly composing verse;
With dozens of ideas, my creative mind bursts.

If I compose lines on my way into town,
I repeat them over, until I write them down;
If they are not written down straightaway,
Around my mind, other thoughts then play.

There are many things which inspire me to write,
Such as animals, the seasons, and the sky at night.
If I try to force ideas, they just do not flow;
The poem itself, I find, just will not grow.

I like to write on a layperson’s level;
In too much information, I do not revel.
Having chosen a decent subject or idea,
I then need to get my brain in to gear.

Of a subject, I like to consider all of the aspects,
But I keep my writing simple; not too complex.
To make a poem rhyme, words I may change,
But I only use words that are within my range.

In using unfamiliar words, I can see no point;
A nice poem, tricky words, can really disjoint.
Words, within my head, I keep batting around,
Until the perfect combination, is finally found.

With poetry, I really love the creative process,
But over time, I’ve become slightly obsessed.
Sometimes I find myself talking in rhyme;
That I am a poet, this must be a sure sign.

Of my finished poems, I often feel proud;
One day, I’ll be brave and read them aloud.
Into my swirling head, ideas continue to pop;
I love writing poetry and never want to stop!

A different type of homework

Being a science student I attended cookery class for only one term
(3 months) in Class 8th...This poem is a small contribution for the
Cookery Class when we had to make Cookies at home and take
them to school for checking/inspection :) I have tried to make it a
funny poem :)

I was given homework to do,
a good presentation I made.
Next day I showed it too,
and all my friends admired.

My teacher came to inspect it,
and she sniffed it like a puppy.
Then she took a small bite,
chewed it and looked happy.

She took another bigger piece,
munching away and smiling.
I watched not feeling nice,
seeing my homework disappearing.

Soon she had finished it all,
I stood with my mouth agape.
My homework seems vitamins full,
that a teacher ate it with a burp?

Normal marking of assignment is to make you pass,
What of tasting and then eating your homework?
Your marking is done like this in class!
in cookery class the teacher eats your work. :)

A Not a Poem Poem

A Not a Poem Poem

I will not write a poem
For I am not a poet
I cannot makes things rhyme
I’ve tried for quite some time
So will I write a poem?
NO!

I can’t write poetry
I’ve tried to all my life
Once, I tried to write a poem
About a husband and his wife
It sounded really silly
So I crumbled it up into a ball
That’s why I decided
That I couldn’t write poetry at all
Am I gonna write a poem?
NO!

Well, I’ll try to write a poem
But it will be really bad
It will be absolutely lousy
It will be completely horrible
It won’t be up to snuff
People will say, “Who wrote this stuff? ”
Will my poem be good?
NO!

Can I write a poem?
NO!

Will I write a poem?
NO!

Well, what do you know! ? !
I wrote a poem!
And it’s a pretty good poem, too!
I guess I can write poetry if I try
The next time I’m asked to write a poem,
Will I say no?
NO!

Crippled by Knowledge

The wayward way of thinking has always been: “Son, I want you to go to college, graduate with a degree so you will have the education to secure a well-paying job. You know back in my day, I was able to go to college, so I want to make sure you have every opportunity to! ”

The inevitable downfall: The rise in college tuition, along with the decrease in federal aid for working middle class families’, students and their parents are placed under enormous pressure in paying back mass amounts of student loan debt.

The vicious cycles remains: Parents could not afford college for themselves ' Parents want better for their kids ' Parents struggle daily and sacrifice their home, their livelihood to ensure their child will have the opportunity at a college education ' Casting a dark cloud over the excitement of their child’s graduation - Four years in a state school and one bachelors degree later ' Parents are faced with a $500 a month student loan payment ' Their son will begin paying on his portion of the loan next month.

The pleasures in being a working middle class family in today’s society. Parents who in the course of hard work and determination established careers with little to no higher education, providing and making the ends meet. Nevertheless, no tuition grants or federal aid for their hopeful first generation college student. “Son, we make too much money for you to qualify for grants. I know who would think a daily struggle is equivalent to making too much money. It is simply loans for us, and I'm not sure we can afford the $568 a month payment. I guess we will manage like we always have. I sure didn't foresee this worry and grief when I just wanted better for you.'

His son, an elementary school teacher in a low-socioeconomic urban school district has hopes that each and every child in his classroom will have the opportunity to pursue higher education. Thoughts of his monthly struggle on a state teacher’s salary to make ends meet and pay back his student loans, escape him every time he walks into the classroom full of young minds craving to learn.

The children we raise and educate today are the minds that will drive our society into the 21-century. Must you realize you are sacrificing the well-being our nation and placing the future of our society in jeopardy to only have history repeat itself. Senators, congressmen, lawyers and lobbyists almost certainly would not have had the opportunity to be where they are now without the support and devotion of their underpaid and overworked school teachers. Everyday leaders such as school teachers and their hard working families do not deserve the crippling burden of outrageous monthly student loan payments when the end goal is to simply further their education in order to influence and guide the society that will lead our nation’s future.

If educators take a primary role in being the driving force behind a society of accountable well-informed people; I can only help to wonder if serving in our nation’s military can pay back student loans, why can’t serving in our nation’s classrooms pay back student loans.

You're The Best Mom!

Moms are best!
They carry us to their tummy for 9 months
Even if their one feet is into death,
They choose us to be born
Thanks mom for loving me.

Moms are best!
They re like wonder woman
They woke up early, prepared us healthy foods
They cleaned the house, and gave all we need.
Thanks mom for taking care of us.

Moms are best!
They re like a nurse, but they are the best
When were sick, they’re the first one who get hurt.
They never sleep, just to make sure that were fine!
Thanks for the moms hug it’s like medicine, can cure all the pain.

Moms are best!
They are the best teacher.
When were young and not yet studying.
They are the first one who teach us good manners and respect elders
Thanks mom for guiding and teaching me, while I’m growing up.

Moms are best!
They’re not only mom but “best friend”
They are always there and hear my thoughts
They keep your girl secret and give good advice.
Thanks moms for the happy girls bonding, for always understanding me.

Moms are best
But my mom is the best mom in the world!
Thanks you mom for your love and everything
I thank GOD because I have a mom like you.
So I wrote this poem just for you.

Restless MONTHesis

In spite of the body's right,
I always slept almost midnight;
Trying to finish with all my might,
But great completion was not on sight.

I woke up late every morning,
And hoped the clock would stop turning;
Ball of fire was already shining,
And subject classes were strictly waiting.

Knock! Knock! Knock, I knocked!
The room's door was definitely locked;
Being late forced my head to be cocked,
A post "No Class" then led my body be rocked.

I suddenly thought of my thesis,
"To graduate, is it really the basis? "
The world would many times rotate on its axis,
But still, my mind suffered from a "catharsis".

This essay was just very easy,
If and only if the references were many;
Not just that I was so lazy,
But my concentration was not for it solely.

The problem never stopped at that,
Since I must have panelists no matter what;
The adviser, the chairman were already on flat,
But the censor was needed, so I did squat.

Thank God someone concurred to be the one,
Who would check the grammar that I'd done;
I finished my first defense in a long run,
And was a halfway to what I called "fun".

Two months left for the ten-month school year,
But still doing the half of it that seemed unclear;
Plus the intact decision of the faculty, so queer,
Reminded me of late graduation which increased my fear.

Last defense for the next month was then my goal,
Seeking for schedule that would be reached by my pole;
I combined my panelists' timetables as a whole,
As I focused on my thesis with heart, body, and soul.

I always came back home late at night,
Wishing that I could finish this essay and be in light;
I wanted to graduate with success in height,
And desired to acquire future so bright.

Summer Nights

Oh, how I hate these hot summer nights,
When a good night's sleep is far from sight.
Lying on my bed, I constantly toss and turn,
While the air around me continuously burns.

My window is slightly ajar to let in some air;
I wonder if I'd be slightly cooler downstairs.
I have rolled down my blanket and my sheet,
But despite doing all this, I still feel the heat.

I watch the clock and the time ticks on by,
But, I just can't sleep, however hard I try.
Feeling restless in the middle of the night,
I climb out of bed and switch on the light.

Feeling so far away from the Land Of Nod,
I sit reading a book and then I play my iPod.
I'm having a bad night, and am not impressed:
I didn't sleep much last night, and need my rest.

As the night draws on, slightly cooler air arrives,
But, by this time, the clock has just struck five.
I hear the little birds singing out at dawn,
And it is only then that I give a big yawn.

My eyelids feel heavy and begin to close,
And, after sleepless hours, I begin to doze.
Finally, I fall asleep: inside my soul feels calm,
But a short time later, I'm woken by the alarm.

By now, my room is flooded by brilliant sunlight;
But I want to stay in bed, with my eyes shut tight.
I feel like I'm almost dead, rather than refreshed;
I certainly don't feel anywhere near my very best.

I don't have much energy: I've no get up and go,
And when I do get up, my movements are slow.
I wish that the temperature at night would dip,
Then I could finally get some much needed kip.
