Experience Of Feeling Thoughts

I’m so lonely, the crocodile said,
last night I read instead of going
to bed, this morning I can only
search for inconclusive

meanings in meditative contemplation;
not in surface conversations, I don’t
want to know How Are You?
rather tell me how you FEEL

to break the stream of morbid thoughts
on existential isolation on a day in
which a haunting melody seems
more real than cold, unsmiling

faces, words as symbols can’t
convey the tactile feel of textures,
nor describe the experience of
feeling thoughts...

In no poems I can find something

In no poems I can find something
to describe that which is between us,
to bring the wondrous experience
on paper to words

and when I look at you I am half blinded
in contemplation as if in the darkness
and have to come to the confession:
my thoughts are devoured

as if I myself cannot get words
to catch the light in your eyes,
the loveliness coming deep from the soul,
to let hang that which is between us
in a few words
and about it I feel wordless and mute.

Frustration

I seem to be
Running out of words
Some feelings
Are just not meant to be read I guess
There are no metaphors
Beautiful enough
Painful enough
Honest enough
To describe the experience of me
In my frustrated futile way
To capture some snapshots of feeling
Hoping they will develop into the portrait I intended
Always wondering
If they are a true enough representation
If they have really captured
What I'm trying to convey
I stumble over inadequate words
Trying to express all that I wish to convey
Feeling confused
By your reply
By what
You
Are trying to say
I react to your choice of words
With
More words
I feel like I'm drowning
In a quicksand of miss-communication
Though I'm sure
You have the best of intentions
Crumbling away like sediment
Exposed to the elements
I inspect
What I'm suppose to be looking at
So I can see
Take a few steps back
To gain
Appropriate distance
Only to have you tell me..
I've pulled too far back.

Sunday Morning Call

Here's another sunday morning call
Yer hear yer head-a-banging on the door
Slip your shoes on and then out you crawl
Into a day that couldn't give you more
But what for?

And in your head do you feel
What you're not supposed to feel
And You take what you want
But you won't get it for free
And You need more time
Cos your thoughts and words won't last forever more
But i'm not sure if it ever works out right
But it's ok. It's all right

When yer lonely and you start to hear
The little voices in your head at night
You will only sniff away the tears
So you can dance until the morning light
At what price?

And in your head do you feel
What you're not supposed to feel
And You take what you want
But you won't get it for free
And You need more time
Cos your thoughts and words won't last forever more
But I'm not sure if it ever works out right
But it's ok. It's all right

And in your head do you feel
What you're not supposed to feel
When you take what you want
But You don't get hope for free
And You need more time
Cos your thoughts and words won't last forever more
And I'm not sure if it'll ever

She Bangs The Drum

I can feel the earth begin to move
I hear my needle hit the groove
And spiral through another day
I hear my song begin to say
Kiss me where the sun don't shine
The past was yours
But the future's mine
You're all out of time
I don't feel too steady on my feet
I feel hollow I feel weak
Passion fruit and holy bread
Fill my guts and ease my head
Through the early morning sun
I can see her here she comes
She bangs the drums
Have you seen her have you heard
The way she plays there are no words
To describe the way I feel
How could it ever come to pass
She'll be the first she'll be the last
To describe the way I feel
The way I feel
Have you seen her have you heard
The way she plays there are no words
To describe the way I feel
How could it ever come to pass

Do You Feel Like I Feel?

I dont know how you do what you do
Im so shaken by you baby
I can barely breath
Everytime I see you
I just want to break down and cry
No ones ever moved me
Just the way you move me inside
Do you feel like I feel
Or am I all alone
Is this love really real
Baby Ive got to know
When you held me last night
Were your words really real
Are you just using me
Or do you feel like I feel
Do you feel like I feel
From that moment that I met you baby
I just knew
It was so easy for me just to be with you
When the sun comes shining
Will you still be lying by my side
Tell me if Im dreaming
Is there deeper meaning
For me in your life
Do you feel like I feel
Or am I all alone
Is this love really real
Baby Ive got to know
When you held me last night
Were your words really real
Are you just using me
Or do you feel like I feel
Do you feel like I feel
Im the one who wants you
Im the one who needs you
Im the one who wont let go
Youve got all the power
Im dying by the hour
Come on baby let me know
When you held me last night were your words really real
God Im so much in love
Do you feel like I feel, like I feel, like I feel

The Poet's Page

All the words that fill a poet's page
can never convey love's feeling.
For all we know and think about love
is only what we're feeling.

The page itself is a bit of relief
as the words spill upon it.
But as the poet spells out the emotion
it seems as if they omit
the deepest and sweetest part of love
that words can never convey.
For the innermost ardor that's everlasting
is too hard for the pen to say.

But say it they must or die inside
and little by little sicken.
And write it they must or never be
able to feel their heart quicken.

And what words can come
that can live through the pain
of unfulfilled love that does remain.
The pen is just an extension
of the brain that's overworked tonite.
Oh that it had the power to bring
to me sweet delight
instead of another lonely,
lonely and empty night.

The Simplicity Of Thoughts

thoughts are simple
i see them without color
we dress thoughts with words
so the other person we love can see
we add a little touch of the hand
so the other can feel that she is not lonely
that i am can also feel
that i am not alone
but whether we are here or not
lonely or otherwise
thoughts still roam this world
looking for a medium
the tree, the cloud, the moss and the rock
it is my theory have thoughts
the rock is numb the cloud is lifeless
the tree is deeply rooted to the earth
the moss too green sticking to a rock
remembering the rivers that were with it

for centuries, they get tired
and they do not believe in words anymore
too many lies
and verbosity
we are the only ones who still have faith
and too foolish.

We Can Make The Morning

(words & music by j. ramsey)
I just thought I heard a small voice crying
Looked again and saw that it was me
I feel like a little boy denying
That he fears the night cause he cant see
Then a larger thought said stop your crying
Dont be scared to search cause you may find
Fate holds out a candle for your footsteps
Time rolls back the shadows of your mind
Its a long, long lonely night
You can make the morning if you try
Its a long, long lonely night
Oh, we can make the morning if we try
Girl, we can make the morning you and i
Together, together, together
Loneliness is darkness first companion
Spend the night alone and faith may bend
Share it all and see how fear starts fading
Chase away the shadows with a friend
Dawns elusive light is just beginning
Now the day can push away the night
Dreams can make the sun feel much brighter
Hope creates a foothold for the light
Its a long, long lonely night
We can make the morning if we try
Its a long, long lonely night
We can make the morning if we try
Girl, we can make the morning you and i, oh
Together
Its a long, long lonely night
We can make the morning if we try
Its a long, long lonely night
We can make the morning if we try
Its a long, long lonely night
We can make the morning if we try

Kisses of Love…

10 October 2008

The sun a luminous explosion
in green trees lining the street,
sparkling brightly, it hurts to turn
away and lose it out of sight

Wanting to experience visual
bewitchment in a tactile way, to
FEEL the beauty I can only see
in soft, velvet textures

Rebelling against eyesight’s
limitations, the constraint of not
feeling what is seen, ears strain-
ing to hear the sparkling colours

A dance of shimmering brightness,
hands longing to feel the glowing
greens, lips burning to cover the
enchanting scene with

Kisses of love…

Consuming Thoughts

There are thoughts inside me,
But I can’t seem to let them free!
The thought of not letting them out is frustrating me!

Its like all the feelings are stuck inside,
I try to let them out oh you have no idea how hard I’ve tried,
And still they stay hidden inside!

I have no idea what I feel,
Whether I am happy, sad, or even if my feelings are real,
I just can’t tell what my emotions and mind feel!

I want to scream out,
And let go of all doubt,
Yet I can’t even describe what there is to let out.

I wish I could tell you,
Could explain how I feel and what I want to do,
Although with everything in my mind my mouth has nothing to tell you.

I am suffocating in my own inability to speak my thoughts,
I feel as if I have nothing inside me even though I know I have lots.
How can it be fair that one’s demise can include one’s own mere thoughts?

Lonely Night

This is just a lonely night without you,
My sweet lover come and hold me tight;
A lonely night when,
Lovers have to be in loving arms.
It is just a lonely night without you,
And i am feeling the blues without a clue;
This is just a lonely night without you.

Whenever i do feel the blues,
I need you around to warm me up;
This is just a lonely night without you.
Oh, what alonely night without you;
I am feeling the cold alone without you.
We should be in loving arm for,
The stars to spell out our names;
Come back soon my love to feel my blues.

This is just a lonely night and,
I need your romantic body around;
My sweet woman,
Never leave me lonely like this;
Lonely on my bed of roses,
Lonely in my room without you;
Come and never be too late my love,
Come and feel my blues.

This is just a lonely night with,
The misty fog all over;
Come and be my lover tonight with,
The Roses of love to crown the night.
Never go away always without a clue,
This is just a lonely night without you;
Come and never be late!
Come and give me the clue to feel my blues.

Living A Lie

I can't seem to find out what I feel
Burned out dreams of others which I can steal
Take or leave this way I seem to you, it eats right through you
Ripped up parts of things I should do, I'll run around and tell you screaming
Oh I live a lie, oh I live a lie, oh why even try
I've been leaving thoughts below
Still I feel I should know
Still don't see much of me giving in
Much too strong to live outside these sins
Feeling like I'm taken lightly, think you see right through me
Words of those that still despise me, think it's eating me you're dreaming
Oh I live a lie, oh I live a lie, oh why even try
I've been leaving thoughts below
Still I feel I should know
When I seem to believe all that I've done wrong
You can take all that's right I will still move on
Taken all I can give it seems that I don't belong
Push me further from this go on
Oh I live a lie, oh I live a lie, oh why even try
I've been leaving thoughts below
Still I feel I should know

(W – 2011) Random Musings – 001

These are random thoughts
Not sorted out
These are not words sifted out
From the grinder of contemplation
They are not refined and polished
But they are pristine
They have life in them
And I want to let them live
Since life and its experiences
Are ever reflecting upon themselves
Whatever issues forth from them
I prefer to call as musings.

They are to me rich poetry
The underlying meanings may sometimes
Not be so much visible to others
But deep down the ocean
As I keep floating
(Swimming is too harsh a word here)
Currents of thoughts break upon me
And I find myself part of an
Unfinished poem.
Weather I am a full stanza
A couplet, or just
A one-liner, I am still to find out.

If I Had A Poem This Morning

IF I HAD A POEM THIS MORNING

If I had a poem this morning
And I could write it
With all my soul,
Then I would feel somehow
That I and this day are worthwhile.

But what I have
Is for the moment
Only these words.

And these words slowly emerging on the page
Feel awkward and lonely and slow and prosaic.

Still they are my words, my thoughts
What I have now to give.

And what if we so much want to give
And what we have to give
Is of no value to anyone else
At all?

Fragile Heroes

writing writing writing in agitated states
until the truth comes out.
shivering, weeping with a heart that leaps
past obstacles. see the lonely boy-
lonely boys are everywhere.
if you are a boy and you are lonely,
you feel quite nobel you know?
your thoughts are somewhere you were
in your early days, and somewhere they
will return.
lonely boys can wander anywhere, because
their thoughts and dreams are assailed
by interminable thoughts of family, the world
seems hostile for a while, then the lonely
boys eventually find some way of
carrying their family thoughts
on the outside, and then they become
fragile heroes.
afraid to speak, but with impetuous
sparks in their hearts.
if you ever feel this way be sure
to let me know and we could speak
for days.

What I feel

After every month, I know
you are near, I wait anxious
but for a moment I think of how
you take me for granted.

I feel like I’ve been violated,
I feel used like when
People use a cloth, and then they
throw it out, or like when a child

throws his toy after playing
with it for a while, because
Is old or it looks warn out.
I feel like you need me, but

only for a moment, not for the
time I deserve to be needed.
It's been five months, and I
feel like I’ve never been with you.

I feel lost without your love, without
that little time you bring into my
world. I need to tell you what I feel,
how much hurt I have in me, but

how, how to describe this to you.
How, how can I do what is needed
when all I feel is pain.
why? , why is it that loving you is

so painful to me. When love should be
like flouting, feeling light headed
with distractive thoughts that make
one feel intoxicated with love and pleasures..

The passion, the unforgiving love
that settles in my weary walls.
In my senses, and in my existence. Why
do I not feel the love, if it is you who I love,

Because loving you is all I want
to do, why do I not feel it? The love,
I just don’t feel it anywhere.
Not in the air, in your words, or
in your touch, or your absence, why?

So.. Lonely I Feel! ! !

The days were dry
the nights were scary
with those lonely dreams & thoughts
and the eyes filled with tears & sorrow
so.. lonely i feel
so..lonely i feel

everyone else left me alone
everyone else passed by
without even noticing me
as though there was no one standing
i felt like a lonely tree in the desert
so.. lonely i feel
so..lonely i feel

i wanted someone to hold my hand
i wanted someone to wipe my tears
but all the time i was
left alone with noone to help me out
so.. lonely i feel
so..lonely i feel

i wanted to screem
i wanted to cry
but had a fake smile everytime
it was a long time i had laughed
it was a long time i had smiled
i did my best to be with this world
but every time i had failed
so..lonely i feel

Vanish

The elements in my thoughts are emptiness in
my hands, the uncertainty of your reach, i cannot
think of, but only hope that the day is not yet gone
entirely from my extending shelf. Where the literature
of infinite prose are the taste of one self, to become
myself as one into your spoken words. The writing
all becomes a shadow of many regrets. My hands
can only feel the texture of the paperback, but not
the words written, they can only register in my
conscious to stay and appear when i need them. I
cannot grab your voice nor your thoughts, if only
i could reach the sky and write my prose in a cloud
you shall read my contemplation from a distance
where ever you are. Tell me where it is your standing,
unless you want me lost. For eons I have longed the
moment to come. Tell me where to find you unless
you want me to fall. The prose only say you wait
desperately for hope.
