Equivalent To The Sun

She is the equivalent to the sun
The Sun nourishes the plants
She does a replica
She is a mother

She is the equivelent to the sun
The Sun brightens the earth
She does the same
She brightens my day

Knowing What The Day Brings

You sleep at night!
You sleep at night! !
You sleep at night! ! !
The sunlight brightens the day, brings joy unspeakable to the heart, that i may sleep again
Little sleep, little slumber forget the sorrow still
That the sunlight brightens, the day again to give vigor, strength and might

Comparing You To The Moon

Looking up to the moon
cant help but think of you
Seeing the moon, reminds me of your smiles
so bright, that everyone can see for miles

Moon shinning so bright, like that of your eyes
when the light hits them, just right
Small twinkle, from your eyes
is given off, by the moon light

Moon brightens, everyones' day
your the only one, that can brightens My day

Those Tomorrows Come Quicker to Leave

Languished.
And yet not deprived,
Of a glimmer that brightens...
A remembered vitality.

In between reminisced youth,
I sit adrift humorous memories.
And grateful that an aging graces,
An ability to greet my years...
With a reflective thankfulness,
For that which I've been given.
And blessed to have received.

Perhaps today I can say I am languished.
And yet not deprived,
Of a glimmer that brightens...
A remembered vitality.
Although I wish sometimes the present,
Would stay a bit longer....
In its visit with me!

Since those tomorrows,
Come quicker to leave.
For one who ages overnight...
With a secret desire to live eternally!

Shouldve Been The One

..2, 3, 4!
Verse 1:
Well if I looked all over this world
I dont think I would find someone so true
Someone like you
Oh and I know it may be too late
But ya know I cannot wait,
What should I do?
I still love you. oh...
Repeat:
When the stakes all are high
And the odds are all against us
Why do I still keep loving you?
Chorus:
You know you shouldve been the one
Our love couldve been something new
And now I dont know what to do
Oh, Ill never give up on your love
cause you always will be the one
Who brightens everyday
Even though you took my heart away
Ya know it makes no difference to me
cause you always will be the one
Verse 2:
Well, call me crazy or what you will
It doesnt change the way Ill always feel
cause this is real
Its nothing you ever said
Its all those crazy dreams that are in your head
(that are in your head) in your head
Alright now...
Here we go...
Repeat
Chorus
You know, our love couldve been something new
And now I dont know what to do
Because you always will be the one
Who brightens everyday
Even though you took my heart away
Ya know it makes no difference to me
You know our love couldve been something new
And now I dont know what to do
Oh, Ill never give up on your love
cause you always will be the one
Who brightens everyday
Even though you took my heart away
Ya know it makes no difference to me
cause you always will be the one!

Sonnet 4

the self to brink of paradise may rise
but dim that vision remains, distant
until self surrenders and self dies.
then vision brightens in an instant!

veil torn, new eyes new vision behold;
new ears new communications hear.
the new Man arises from man of old
to meet vision as vision draws near.

a new earth forms from old earth;
old earth's transfigured by new.
veil rent in second birth
new self becomes selves two!

two selves dwell in one new self;
the heavenly Self and self of earth.

Pretty Flamingo

(mark barken)
All around all of the guys call her flamingo
cause her hair glows like the sun
And her eyes light up the sky
When she walks by
She moves so fine like a flamingo
Crimson dress that clings so tight
Shes out of reach and out of sight
When she walks by
She brightens up the neighborhood
And every guy would take her hand
If he just could, if she just would
Some sweet day
Ill make her mine, pretty flamingo
And every guy will envy me
Cause paradise is where Ill be
When she walks by
She brightens up the neighborhood
And every guy would take her hand
If he just could, if she just would
Some sweet day
Ill make her mine, pretty flamingo
And every guy will envy me
Cause paradise is where Ill be

Compensation

In that new world toward which our feet are set,
Shall we find aught to make our hearts forget
Earth's homely joys and her bright hours of bliss?
Has heaven a spell divine enough for this?
For who the pleasure of the spring shall tell
When on the leafless stalk the brown buds swell,
When the grass brightens and the days grow long,
And little birds break out in rippling song?

O sweet the dropping eve, the blush of morn,
The starlit sky, the rustling fields of corn,
The soft airs blowing from the freshening seas,
The sunflecked shadow of the stately trees,
The mellow thunder and the lulling rain,
The warm, delicious, happy summer rain,
When the grass brightens and the days grow long,
And little birds break out in rippling song!

O beauty manifold, from morn till night,
Dawn's flush, noon's blaze and sunset's tender light!
O fair, familiar features, changes sweet
Of her revolving seasons, storm and sleet
And golden calm, as slow she wheels through space,
From snow to roses, - and how dear her face,
When the grass brightens, when the days grow long,
And little birds break out in rippling song!

O happy earth! O home so well beloved!
What recompense have we, from thee removed?
One hope we have that overtops the whole, -
The hope of finding every vanished soul,
We love and long for daily, and for this
Gladly we turn from thee, and all thy bliss,
Even at thy loveliest, when the days are long,
And little birds break out in rippling song.

An Aurora Borealis

O STRANGE soft gleam, o ghostly dawn
That never brightens unto day;
Ere earth's mirk pale once more be drawn
Let us look out beyond the gray.

It is just midnight by the clock--
There is no sound on glen or hill,
The moaning linn adown its rock
Leaps, but the woods lie dark and still.

Austere against the kindling sky
Yon broken turret blacker grows;
Harsh light, to show remorselessly
Ruins night hid in kind repose!

Nay, beauteous light, nay, light that fills
The whole heaven like a dream of morn,
As waking upon northern hills
She smiles to find herself new-born,--

Strange light, I know thou wilt not stay,
That many an hour must come and go
Before the pale November day
Break in the east, forlorn and slow.

Yet blest one gleam--one gleam like this,
When all heaven brightens in our sight,
And the long night that was and is
And shall be, vanishes in light:

O blest one hour like this! to rise
And see grief's shadows backward roll;
While bursts on unaccustomed eyes
The glad Aurora of the soul.

Total Lunar Eclipse February 20 inspired Poem

Lucy waits for the full moon
to be totally covered up
before letting him utter
secretly to her 'we are one'.

in less than three seconds,
her world lightens, brightens up
as the earth slowly, surely lifts
the veil of darkness to let the sun
shower its warm and edifying grace
over his satelite and consort

When I see you my heart stop
Your smile is what brightens up my day
When you walk into the room

Your eyes shine like a diamond in the sun
I do believe you are the one
That will change me for the better.

Ball Of Fire

Our Sun beats down, its rays so strong,
It heats this earth, where we belong,
Ripening to gold the waving corn,
Rising up high to start the morn.
Its sunshine pleasures all it greets,
And brightens so, our darkest streets.
With warmth it transforms a frosty day,
And bright beams sweep the gloom away.
Oh, ball of fire, shine radiant for me,
And all your famed glory, let me see.
