I lay under this elm
tree hoping to forget
all the sadness
I've witness in this sad
life of mine
I lay there dreaming
of a better life with
nothing but happiness
when he sits down next
to me to say hi beautiful
I open my eyes to see this
handsome angle sitting next
to me glowing like a shining
star...I'm afraid that I'm
still dreaming in till he brushes
my cheek with his hand
he says again hello beautiful
girl why are you all alone
he lays down by me and says
I don't understand how such
a pretty girl would always
be alone we talk for hours
and fall asleep under the elm tree
and when I woke he was gone
without a trace of him
being around again I
start a great guy want such
a horrible girl like me
I'm a sad excuse for a girl
I sit once again all alone
under this elm tree wishing
that guy would come back
so I'm not alone under this elm tree
crying my eyes out with the
hope that I will soon find
the right tree to sit under

The Pain Of Moving On

A tree looked up to one star and that one alone,
It didn't see any other stars but that one.
It was its bestfriend.
Its happiness.
Its everything.
The tree continued to grow taller.
Hoping, wishing that his height would bring him and the star closer.
Instead the taller the tree grew the further the star got.
The star tempted the tree on some nights, letting its star shine so bright...
so that it seemed closer.
Then it really was.
But the star just wanted to see its beautiful reflection on the tree.
Not to spend time with it.
And the tree watched.
Cried.
Hated.
As he watched the star shine for another tree and forget about him.
Wasted his time.
Cared too much.
For a star he had known all his life,
He watched put others before him.
The sadness was too much to bear.
So it wouldn't grow and was cut down
Down.
Down.
Down.
The star continued to move
Up.
Didn't even stop and think.
About what it had done.

The Dreaming Tree

Fantasy...

A tree and its shadow
And a dreamy meadow
Waiting for someone....

The Shadow asks ' how is she doing? '
Tree whispers ' shhh! sleeping'
'oops! sorry' says shadow and waits
waiting...they are for the flower that sleeps
on a thin green brunch of the tree
The tree, now drowsy, as sun
Readies itself to set, for the night
and the little shadow? it grows unwatched
With the dimming light

The Tree sleeps,
The meadow sleeps
Huts sleep
and the man inside it
Is in slumber too
Tiny little shadow grows into night
Embraces life with darkness punctured with lights

Dawn Awakes
Sun rays come running back to the tree
Tree asks 'my shadow? where IS he? '
the Tallest palm tree, sky abreast
says 'i think I saw him running northwest! '

The Shadow creeps in and stands upon a pebble
Says ' i wana see...i wana see! ' with boyish charm

Then The flower finally falls
Into shadow's lap
'shh! she's still taking a nap! '
says tree to his friend

Wind blows, it wants to play with her
The sleeping beauty, The flower
'Look! Look! ...she's smiling!
She's happy! she must be dreaming! '
The shadow hushes, excited!

A girl comes out of the hut...
Takes the flower, the sweet, from Shadows lap
What will you do with her, little girl?
She's taking a nap! '

'I'll play with it', the little girl says
The Shadow starts crying
The tree wishpers...
' dont cry dear...let it be...
Tommorrow morning You'll see
Our flower is back with us
On your lap she's lying!

Night comes again
Tree and its shadow sleeps
with Dreamy smiles on their lips

Dawn brings light to the tree and shadow
They wake up and see
Adorned with Dew drops like some rare gems
Their Sweet little flower is back with them!

Oh unchanging tree

Such a beautiful thing Is a tree.
In summer, in winter, in spring, in fall
the beauty of a tree, doesn't change at all

The leaves fall to the ground
all the richest beautiful color
can be found

The snow falls
but it doesn't hurt the tree,
it just lays on it's branches
like frosting on a cake

Then it gets warm, the snow melts.
Say goodbye to to winter, say hello to sping.
New life is such a beautiful thing

But so is the tree, the beautiful mighty tree.
That stands alone as the seasons pass
as when you were old or just a lass.

A tree must have a heart, because when it falls to the ground.
No Joy can be found..

So when you see a tree say hello, they can get lonely you know.
Tell them a story, tell them a poem, they will listen.

For Those of You Who Don't Know Me

I'm the girl who holds this smile,
which is not near the truth,
I'm the girl who sits next to you,
I'm the girl who begs the Lord:
'Free me of thinking it's O.K.
to hide my feelings and emotions.'
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who falls asleep crying,
I'm the girl who's good at 'lying',
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who says she's O.K.
but look in her eyes,
hear her voice,
there's a different story,
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who looks happy on the outside,
but if you felt how I feel on the inside,
then...you'd understand,
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who listens,
the girl who has sympathy and empathy,
the girl who has her own problems...but would rather hear yours,
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who hurts on the inside,
but smiles on the outside,
so...
remember, when you look at me with a smile,

know there is something more,
more to that smile,

When I was only three I planted a tree

When I was three I planted a tree. This was my tree and together we would always be. I gave it love and it to me, and so we were happy, me and my tree.
Then one day they came to see me and my tree. Men with no faces, and they said to me, you must go, and leave this tree.
Buy why I ask. For we've done no harm. Me and my tree, please let us be.
So they left us alone, me and my tree, but only for a while but I could not see.
Then one day they came and took me away. My tree was needed to save the day. Goods it will make it makes perfect sense. So we will take this tree, for wood we need. And so it was done, they took my tree.
And now I look around, my tree I no longer see. Taken from, this tree I planted when I was three.

Starry Eyed Baby

She's my starry eyed baby girl,
She hypnotizes,

mesmerizes,

dramatizes

all her pray,

The tree we used to lay beneath,
kiss teeth stained red
From a sour bottled baby girl
with eyes the size of baby worlds.

As I lay beneath our kissing tree,
I wonder when it all fell apart,
How my baby girl when from starry eyed
Princess to glarring eyed devil girl.

Does she ever wonder what might have been
If we had laid there forever under our
kissing tree, if she hadn't ran
from my love, for fear of heart
break
Can she see now I still love my sour

Or have those baby world eyes disappeared

Beautiful girl.
Beautiful brown eyes that are like a pond fill with holly water that reflects the blessings from the sun, beautiful girl don’t be so sad and wipe those tears from your beautiful eyes because I’ll be with you tonight.
Let me brush you hair meanwhile you are falling asleep ready to fly into your dreams.
There! I open the doors of the world for you but be careful with the evil that fulfill this lonely empty world.
Don’t look back because you angels will be by your side every day and every night of your beautiful life.
