Susie Cincinati

Well susie cincinnati
Got a groovy little motor car
She lives for the night
And her husbands a security guard
Her looks arent exactly a plus
But it doesnt matter to us
Because she knows where its at
And she gets you there in seconds flat
She knows all the honkies
And the kids are all home in bed
(ooo ride susie cincinnati)
Shed rather do this
Than anything else instead
(ooo ride susie cincinnati)
She got the nicotine fit
And before she discovered it
(ooo ride susie cincinnati)
Everybody in the back seat suffocated
Susie cincinnati we thought you were a winner
Susie cincinnati citys number one sinner
Yeah
Susie cincinnati we thought you were a winner
Woah
Susie cincinnati citys number one sinner
Susie cincinnati we thought you were a winner
Susie cincinnati citys number one sinner
Yeah
Susie cincinnati we thought you were a winner
Susie cincinnati citys number one sinner
Woah yeah
Shell always pick you up
When the others go and leave you down
(to the ride to the ride susie cincinnati)
In her little red cab shes scootin all over town
(to the ride to the ride susie cincinnati)
Shes gotta mind the meter too
My pockets got some signs for you (? ? ? )
But its just one look
Because shell give the ride free to you

Wake Up Little Susie

Wake up little susie, wake up. wake up little susie, wake up.
The movie wasnt so hot, it didnt have much of a plot
We fell asleep, out goose is cooked, our reputation is shot
Wake up little susie, wake up little susie
What are you gonna tell your mama, what you gonna tell your pa
What are you gonna tell your friend when they say ooo la la
Wake up little susie, wake up little susie
Well I told your mama that youd be back by ten
Now susie, baby looks like we goofed again
Wake up little susie, wake up little susie, we gotta go home
Wake up little susie, wake up. wake up little susie, wake up.
The bullfrogs sound asleep, wake up little susie and weep
Its four oclock and were in trouble deep
Wake up little susie, wake up little susie

Susie Q

Susie Q
Would you like to do a few,
Night caps?
I've been refused...
And I'm a cat that isn't like that!
I think you're sweet...
Butterfinger licking.
I think you'll find my conversation,
'Not-that-bad'!

Susie Q
What do you do...
When you say you don't do it?
I'm so amused
That you believe I am a 'fooler'.
I may have a glass of wine or two with you.
I may even ask you what you'd like to do...
Susie Q,
Eat your oysters...
Let's be movin'!

Susie Q
Would you like to do a few,
Night caps?
I've been refused...
And I'm a cat that isn't like that!
I think you're sweet...
Butterfinger licking.
I think you'll find my conversation,
'Not-that-bad'!
Susie Q...
When you're through,
We can get groovin'!
Susie Q...
When you're through,
We can get groovin'!
Susie Q...
I think you know,
Just what you're doin'.

Hello Susie

Everybody sat here waiting for the train to come
Just lay down a bright red carpet for her to step on
Lookin to the bend I see her waving her hands at me
Her looks were tanned and quite amazing as she ran to me
Hello susie, hello susie
Tell me the news about yourself
Hello susie, hello susie
Tell me that youve enjoyed yourself
Frantically she knocked me over
Causing such a scene
Shook the crowd enough to sway
The interest from the queen
Her black transistor socked out
One oclock radio
Completely drowned the band
And loud enough to stop the show
Chorus
Yes sir rock n roll the day away
Come on everybody
They all seem too keen to make the scene
Come on everybody, come on everybody
Got to dig me just a while
I was... threw her bags into the car
Susie took her bow and made her exit like a star
The national news took films which... to make history
Her looks were tanned and quite amazing as she ran to me
Chorus

Blood On The Dancefloor

She got your number
She know your game
She put you under
It's so insane

Since you seduced her
How does it feel
To know that woman
Is out to kill

Every night stance is like takin' a chance
It's not about love and romance
And now you're gonna get it

Every hot man is out takin' a chance
It's not about love and romance
And now you do regret it

To escape the world I've got to enjoy that simple dance
And it seemed that everything was on my side
(Blood on my side)

She seemed sincere like it was love and true romance
And now she's out to get me
And I just can't take it
Just can't break it

Susie got your number
And Susie ain't your friend
Look who took you under
With seven inches in
Blood is on the dance floor
Blood is on the knife
Susie's got your number
And Susie says its right

She got your number
How does it feel
To know this stranger
Is out to kill

She got your baby
It happened fast
If you could only
Erase the past

Every night stance is like takin a chances
It's not about love and romance
And now you're gonna get it

Every hot man is out takin' a chance
It's not about love and romance
And now you do regret it

To escape the world I got to enjoy this simple dance

It was blood on the dance floor

It was blood on the dance floor

It was blood on the dance floor

The girl won't break it

Hot Shot

Ready steady gonna meet you on the ballroom floor,
Brother eddie quit your banging on my bathroom door,
After shaving yeah and after three,
Im after having me some fun you see,
Im getting ready for the night to come,
And here I come.
Chorus:
Im just a hot shot hitting town,
(have a little fun),
Just a hot shot getting down,
(ready steady run),
Im just a hot shot looking around,
(loving on the run),
Im having fun.
Get the recognition each and every place I go,
Fashion leader in the cuban heel and pointed toe,
My italian suit is pressed and clean,
Im the latin lover of thelocal scene,
Im getting ready for the night to come.
Chorus repeated.
A faded picture on the mantleshelf,
My older brother looks like myself,
Remember donny dated susie,
And susie rated johnny,
Johnnys into susie,
But susiea into ronnie,
Ronnie waits for louie,
But louies singing louie-lou-i.
Chorus repeated.

Susie Asado

Sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet tea.
Susie Asado.
Sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet tea.
Susie Asado.
Susie Asado which is a told tray sure.
A lean on the shoe this means slips slips hers.
When the ancient light grey is clean it is yellow, it is a silver seller.
This is a please this is a please there are the saids to jelly.
These are the wets these say the sets to leave a crown to Incy.
Incy is short of incubus.
A pot. A pot is a beginning of a rare bit of trees. Trees tremble,
the old vats are in bobbles, bobbles which shade and shove and
render clean, render clean must.
Drink pups.
Drink pups drink pups lease a sash hold, see it shine and a bobolink
has pins. It shows a nail.
What is a nail. A nail is unison.
Sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet tea.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Mr. Finney's Turnip

Mr. Finney had a turnip,
And it grew, and it grew,
And it grew behind the barn,
And the turnip did no harm.

And it grew, and it grew,
Till it could grow no taller;
Then Mr. Finney took it up
And put it in the cellar.

There it lay, there it lay,
Till it began to rot ;
When his daughter Susie washed it
And put it in the pot.

Then she boiled it and boiled it,
As long as she was able;
Then his daughter Susie took it
And put it on the table.

Mr. Finney and his wife
Both sat down to sup;
And they ate, and they ate,
Until they ate the turnip up.

Taking Dad to a Game

The Polo Grounds, when the Field’s first seen
are a most magical shade of green.
Hand in hand, me and my Dad
head for our seats in the right field stands.

It’s the Cincinnati Reds in town
to play the New York Mets.
There’s a double header scheduled,
How much better could it get?

Cincinnati took the first game
by a score of three to nil.
My hot dog was delicious
Dad had a beer to swill.

The nightcap was a wild affair
The Mets won thirteen- twelve.
You could look it up, as Casey said,
if you should care to delve.

We rode the subway home that night
side by side, me and my Dad.
We reminisced about the game
Like the most knowledgeable fans

The Q44 from Flushing took us
up Queensboro Hill, ,
past Carvel and Booth Memorial,
I remember it well still.

My father turned to look at me
as five decades creased my brow.
Making us the self same age
What he was then, so I am now.

Thirty years, about, its been
Since last I saw my Dad.
The dead don't get to baseball games,
Which I think is rather sad.

They can't enjoy a summer night
on the wrong side of the grass.
And an ice cold beer is greatly missed-
They can't pour themselves a glass

In memory, we still can walk
With those who came before.
So I took my Dad to a baseball game
What was I waiting for?
