Dark Canyons Of Lost Souls

Twisting, turning, groping, along the darkened canyons of my soul,
Stumbling blindly, feeling the cold slimy fabric of my existence.
The beings of this world are crazy, driven, obscene, and insane,
With lives of real desperation, hearts full of sorrow and pain.

I raise my voice in anguish,
And scream in fear and despair.
I beg for the light of reason,
To reach me way down here.

Evil, disgusting, and hateful, with greed and lust as their mores,
Raping children, spending their essence, in the bellies of whores.
In this pit, this dungeon of hell, are fantasies of sex and desire.
Where evil must be obtained and yet escape the wrath of hells fire.

I raise my voice in anguish,
I scream in fear and despair,
I beg for the light of goodness,
To reach me way down here.

Gluttony is practiced with fervor in every manner they know,
Consumption is the real god of the vipers in the pit here below.
Raise me up from the quagmire of murder, of rape and conceit.
Help me find my way out of the canyons of darkness and deceit.

I raise my voice in anguish,
I scream in fear and despair,
I beg for the light of peace,
To reach us way down here.

Lead me up to shining mountains, in the light of the golden glow.
Let me walk through the silver clouds, and roll in crystal snow.
Let me breathe the clean air of freedom and soar on eagles wings.
I'll look down on darkened canyons and dream of lovely things.

No raising my voice in anguish,
No screaming in fear or despair,
No begging for light and reason,
Because I'll not be down here.

Trapped In Despair

I was placed in sadness
I was placed in darkness
I was placed in fear
Trapped in a place called despair
Despair is cold
Despair is unkind
Despair he lingers all the time
You find yourself clinging to the light
Just praying for that light
Please light save me for I am…trapped in despair
Then you see the light and it turns to your eyes
it turns to your smile
at the sound of your angelic voice…
the place grows warm
all fear flees
the light that is your eyes fills this place the darkness is chased away
My sadness has vanished
You extend a firm hand and rip me from despair
You wrap your arms around me and whisper in my ear…
Never again will you be…trapped in despair.

Despair Is Darkness

DESPAIR IS DARKNESS

Despair is darkness-
Despair is death inside and death in the world and death in one’s own sad soul-
Despair is no way out -
Despair is the place where one is forever stuck -
Despair is the realization that one has done what one could – and one is not going anywhere else-
Despair is the admission of failure-
Despair is no sign of help anywhere around-
Despair is so much lost-
Despair is one‘s life is over-
Despair is regret-
Despair is the sense that one will never have the time to have another chance -
Despair is ‘it’s finished’-
Despair is no way out-
Despair is going down and more down and more dark and more afraid all the time -
Despair is the scream which hurts and does not stop the hurting -
Despair is the understanding that even Death will not save one -
Despair is that the pain will never end-not even with death.
Despair is no way out again and again and again- without end.

The Pain, The Anguish, The Fear

Inside of me
raining down
its everywhere
hurting me
blinding me
to myself
the pain, the anguish, the fear
they smother me
blocking out all thought
breeding misery
my only will
is to end it all
to stop the pain
the anguish, the fear
of them
I live afraid
of their next move
out of fear
I build a wall
to block myself
from them
I give everyone the illusion
of being inside but it is only
smoke and mirrors
sometimes fooling myself
into thinking it as well
the pain, the anguish, the fear
seep through the cracks
smother me
in a blanket of hate, anger and fear
they are killing me
slowly but surely
the pain, the anguish, the fear

But Don't Despair

Despair, if you must –
But how's it going to pull you through?
Despair, when you trust
Naught since then there's naught to do.
Despair, should you thrust
Aside your pride, your self-esteem.
And so despair, if it's dust,
The only substance that you deem.
Despair, when a gust
Of slightly breeze can break your stance.
And do despair, when lust
Is your interpretation of romance.

But don't despair, if you can care
About the plight of any other being.
And you can focus on the help,
Support, and altruistic further actions
For the seeing. Be believing,
As despair will start receding
All around – simply since you found
A way to steer you clear
From this: the very cause of your despair!

So give to others; give them all a helping lift:
Despair, you'll find will disappear –
And that has got to be a well-deserved
And saintly gift!

What is fear?

Fear is stormy weather
Fear is light as a feather
Fear is rain
Fear is pain
Fear is hiding in the dark
Fear is lingering at the park
Fear is not your friend
Fear is hard to comprehend
Fear is not knowing what to do
Fear is what ever he wants to
Fear is turning out the lights
Fear is having no sight
Fear is going to give you a thrill
Fear is also going to make you kill
Fear is never fun
Fear is going to make you run
Fear is that scary little voice
Fear is going to give you no other choice
Fear is losing someone
Fear is like a loaded gun
Fear is something you can't control
Fear is something you can't unfold
Fear is the opposite of love
Fear is what we're made of
Fear is not going to please
Fear is always me...

Despair Of The Early Morning

DESPAIR OF THE EARLY MORNING

Despair of the early morning
Despair of the darkness
Despair of the Despair
Despair of Old Age
Despair of the road closed
Despair of nothing to do
Despair of nowhere to go
Despair of endless errands
Despair of money running out
Despair of the message of Despair
One transmits to those one loves.

Despair that has to be resisted
Despair that the light of the day
Will help me overcome
Despair I will pray my way out of
Despair I will in the course of the day
Sometime overcome.

Not the great Despair
The unending Despair
The final Despair.

The small Despair of who I am and where I am now.
The Despair that still can be resisted,
By the writing of a few awkward lines
Early in the morning.

Despair/Suicide

When you feel so lost and lonely
and the world feels like despair
and there is no one to talk to
your hell is out there
the darkness of that tunnel
goes on for miles and miles
no golden flickers of light
only more and more despair
that feeling just creeps over you
it gains more power and strength
as you reach out for the tablets
taking one with each dark step
before you know it there all gone
how many did you take?
what the hell i dont care! !
theres no one to listen to you anyways
my life has been a misery
for oh so many years
it never seems to get better
just more and more despair
you lay down on a dark cold path
just waiting for to die
you can feel the drugs take over
with each and every sigh
your heart is getting weaker
the beats are slowing down
and you cant cry for help
you cant even make a sound
so as you lay there in the cold and dark
your breath is very shallow
your eyes will close for ever now
and you will find your peace out there.

And Here Comes Dark

It's dark outside
But I see the light
Then darkness
I see the light again
And here comes dark

It's dark outside
I am lonely and sad
But I see the light
You ask my name
Then darkness
You take my hand
I see the light again
We fall in love
And here comes dark

It's dark outside
I can't find you
But I see the light
You were right there
Then darkness
I have my doubts
I see the light again
You say I'm wrong
And here comes dark

It's dark outside
I reach for you
But I see the light
You don't reach for me
Then darkness
I feel alone
I see the light again
I read your face
And here comes dark

It's dark outside
I want to leave
But I see the light
You're come to me
Then darkness
I feel your grip
I see the light
You're hurting me
And here comes dark

It's dark outside
I try to scream
But I see the light
You have my throat
Then darkness
I can not breath
I see the light
For the last time
And here comes dark

Warning

When my mind dragged into the darkness
My feet suddenly stop and I become bored
It’s a warning, my heart could feel
Before my life is taken away from me
I should run and find the light again

When my soul swift into despair
My clock suddenly frozen and I become lonely
It’s a warning, my body starts shaking
Before my faith fly away from me
I should turn and catch my wings of hope

When my love tainted by deceit
My eyes suddenly blocked and I become ignorant
It’s a warning, my instinct is calling
Before my hate conquers me
I should hold on and break the storm

When I’m lost in clown world
My fear suddenly clear and I want to scream
It’s a warning, my truth is here
Before the mist thickening
I should be strong and find my reason to dream

But Reach For His Hand

Across the heavens where the only sound, is that of a hymn in glory bound.
For He cares and hears our every prayer, beyond despair He is always there.
No matter how feeble our reach, He will extend a hand for each to grasp even in spite of His wrath.

Across the heavens beyond despair, beyond all fear He is there,
aware of our suffering and our strife and will extend a hand for us to grasp as He pulls us into light.
But reach for His hand is what He will teach, and hearken to His uplifting speech,
in prayer we can reach His soothing touch as with His love enduring, He will lift us up.

Consolation

I put my arms around you, your body stalls and droops
I give you consolation but theres nothing I can do
Estranged I listen to a voice so scared
Like a martyr from another world, I no longer share
The anguish of a thousand days, the fear of life like everyone
Against there is no chance to swim, you have to simply drift along
Everyday the sting moves deeper, one day it will reach your soul
Its near so close at hand for everyone
No more consolation, no more aggravation,
No more I am making changes for everyone
Your eyes are breaking, the curtain is to drop
You want her here but you never begged before
If I could only scream and silence your voice
I might achieve to wake you up and make you come to a stop
When my world is quiet and no one fills my head
I give it one more thought and put it back to bed
Everyday the sting moves deeper, one day it will reach your soul
Its near so close at hand I hope you understand
No more consultation, no more aggravation,
No more I am making changes for everyone

For My Sake

(Written in aid of the Children's Hospital.)

MATTHEW XXV. 40.

“Inasmuch as ye gave ear unto the sighing
Of the least of these the children of my care,—
Of your love from death redeemed them, or in dying
Stood between them and the shadow of despair;—

“Inasmuch as when the little ones did languish,
Ye put forth the hand to make their burdens light;—
Inasmuch as when they lay on beds of anguish,
Ye were with them in the watches of the night;—

“All the joy ye brought to light when sorrow hid it
Now awaits you, an exceeding great reward.
As ye did it unto these, to ME ye did it;
Enter ye into the joy of your Lord.”

“Lord, when sought we out the children that did languish?
When put forth the hand to make their burdens light?
Lord, we wist not when they lay on beds of anguish,
And we slept throughout the watches of the night.

“For our lives were full of trouble and of labour,
And the night followed hard upon the day:
Had we lingered with the children of our neighbour,
Our own little ones had perished by the way.”

“Inasmuch as though ye might not touch or tend them,
Ye were with them in your love to heal and save,
And were hands and feet to those who did befriend them,
By the gold and by the silver that ye gave.

“Find your treasure where your ransomed ones have hid it;
Take it back a thousandfold for your reward.
As you did it unto these, to ME ye did it;
Enter ye into the joy of your Lord.”

Sunday

Nothing remains
We could run
When the rain slows
Look for the cars or signs of life
Where the heat goes
Look for the drifters
We should crawl under the bracken
Look for the shafts of light on the road
Where the heat goes
Everything has changed
For in truth, its the beginning of nothing
And nothing has changed
Everything has changed
For in truth, its the beginning of an end
And nothing has changed
And everything has changed
[first voice]
In your fear
Of what we have become
Take to the fire
Now we must burn
All that we are
Rise together
Through these clouds
As on wings
[2nd voice]
In your fear, seek only peace
In you fear, seek only love
In your fear, seek only peace
In you fear, seek only love
In your fear, in your fear
As on wings
This is the trip
And this is the business we take
This is our number
All my trials, lord
Will be remembered
Everything has changed

Safe From Harm

All this time I spend in shadow
Hollow from my life’s decay
Always trying to reach outside
Hoping to grab onto a piece of light

Thrown into despair
Because you are never there
Never there to hold me in your arms
Feeling I disappear
‘cause no one sees me here
Here to keep me safe from harm

My tears so many times fall like rain
Flooding my wading pool of misery
Crawling on the floor hear me scream
A faceless voice no one ever sees

Thrown into despair
Because you are never there
Never there to hold me in your arms
Feeling I disappear
‘cause no one sees me here
Here to keep me safe from harm

Why must this tree of lies grow so
My tears have made my heart a stone
This load is weighing me down today
Why won’t you love this all away

Thrown into despair
Because you are never there
Never there to hold me in your arms
Feeling I disappear
‘cause no one sees me here
Here to keep me safe from harm

Touches

How can I touch,
touch my God?
How many ways,
can my God touch me?

How can I see,
see Him with clarity?
How can my God,
in his world see me?

Along the paths I travel,
how can I tell?
My God walks with me?
What sign will He foretell?

When I reach out,
reach out through pain.
Will my God reach down,
take my pain, let me sustain?

How can I know,
when fear robs my sight?
Will my God really lead me,
‘til finally I depart the night?

Each creation I caress,
my God I touch lovingly.
Each prayer I find answered,
my God, has touched me.

When in darkness I grope,
His sun allows me to see.
I know in my heart,
my God never, lost sight of me.

Traveling my paths,
breezes ruffle each tree.
A sure sign my God tells me,
I walk not alone you see.

As I reach out, sightless and lost.
When I see a path open to me.
A warmth wraps my soul,
I’m sure, God caressed me you see.

When I am blinded by doubt,
cold fear has taken my sight.
He whispers to me, “I will lead you.”
I am sure, I’ll be led to His golden light.

There is nothing really ever to fear

Fear is regression
regression is pain
pain turns sweet sunshine into bitter rain
take my hand my dear
for there is nothing to fear

Fear is anguish
anguish is sorrow
sorrow is but a deep hole so hollow
let this not be the end of me
hold me tight and set me free
oh embrace me so close, so near
for there is nothing really ever to fear

Fear is destruction
destruction is chaos
chaos is a cynical and unruly boss
that can become your surpressive master
do not let fear take control
of the every corner of your innocent soul

Take my hand oh my dear
hold me so very near
for there is nothing that we should ever fear!

Train Song

I try to recall what it was you said to me just then
But this train keeps on rocking me back to sleep
And i fear come tomorrow i won't even remember your name
I'd make myself remember
Make myself recall
But these promises and these vows i made you now
Seem to have no voice at all
The color of the canyons
When first it was said i love you
But these colors and these canyons
Now all seem silly and small
I don't understand at all
How these colors in my memory just fade
Into such a pale shade of grey
And cold rails remind me of your cold feet
And my eyes expect to see you behind every door
But when i shut my eyes
I can't even recall what it is that you wore
My god was that only yesterday
I can't even remember your face
I feel so far away
I make myself remember
Make myself recall
But these promises and these vows i made you now
Seem to have no voice at all
The color of the canyons
When first it was said i love you
But these colors and these canyons
Now all seem silly and small
I don't understand at all
How these colors in my memory just fade away
Into such a pale shade of grey
*i say to myself my god i used to love him
I wanted to share with him my womb and my world
But now i stare at him as though through a glass wall
I say i used to love him but now i feel nothing for him at all
My god how could this be
Won't you please explain this to me
Now sleep sings to me in a sweet and urgent voice
And i fear that i have no choice but to forget these flowers
These daisies you gave me, the offerings you made me
The vows that we swore by, swearing we'd be together
Always and forever, the children we named and now we'll never have
And i know i'm supposed to meet you
I don't even think i'll remember your name tomorrow
I make myself remember
Make myself recall
But these promises and these vows i made you now
Seem to have no voice at all
The color of the canyons
When first it was said i love you

Low Light

Clouds roll by
Reeling is what they say
Or is it just my way?
Wind blows by, low light
Side-tracked, low light
Cant see my tracks, your scent-way back
Can I be here all alone?
Clear a path to my home
Blood runs dry
Books and jealousy tell me wrong
All I feel, calm
Voice blows by, low light
Car crash, low light
Cant wear my mask, your first, my last
Voice goes by
Two birds is what theyll see
Getting lost upon their way
Wind rolls by, low light
Eye sight, low light
I need the light
Ill find my way from wrong, whats real?
The dream I see
