How fine the mesh of Clio's sieve!
How deft; sifting teeming epoch
To one parchment, in it to live
Distilled, a lost world in one book.
An epic lives in one last line
Of plucked hexameter, to stand
For seven thousand not so fine.
The remnant Library fills one hand,
One scroll immortal of millions
Dust and ash. Or is it Eris,
Random goddess, her selections
That we pore over and caress?
Our faith is, we've the gold, not dross;
We could not else bear feel the loss.

Day after day, I feel myself slowing down, what does it mean?
The air has changed, its getting harder to breathe, or so it would seem
Sail me away to a distant shore, where everythings fine

The Spider

Spider, Spider, weaving web-
Fine and silky, that can’t ebb;
What immortal Hand did give,
Engineering feet to live!

Swift legs moving on fine threads:
Insect prey finally dreads;
What finesse involves your act,
Smothering preys with great tact!

Gossamer-mesh baiting prey:
Caught in surprising, a way;
Wound by silken threads, so fast,
Die insects spun, quite aghast!

Thready sensors, zig-zag laid,
Helping hunter and to aid;
Moving majestically,
Howev’r strong the wind, may be.

What a cute beast? What a frame?
What made Adam give this name?
What gentleness? What great speed?
Catching prey with deadly greed!

Victor always in pinning
Lethally prey by spinning;
What superb brain, God-given,
Watching eyes, agile-driven!

Welcome to the library! come one come all
Welcome to the library! come with your brethren on this wall
Welcome to the library! come all you books tattered or new
Welcome to the library! come tired and overdue

Yes welcome to the library the place where you're most mundane
Yes welcome to the library the place where you're to endure most pain
Yes welcome to the library where you'll sit unwanted
Yes welcome to the library where you'll sit haunted
Yes welcome to the library where everyone's just like you
Yes welcome to the library where we're all books too!
Yes welcome to the library where you can take comfort
Yes welcome to the library where In the fact you're no longer unique
Yes welcome to the library You're just pen marks ink

Departing the library? I think not, even if you get out we'll bring you back
Departing the library? Here you rot, but we'll dust you to ease your passing

A Very Fine Line

Many, many times in this life of mine,
I find we're all walking a very fine line.
We believe that what we all perceive is real.
But somewhere in my heart that's not what I feel.

Locked in this body, locked up tight
is a being I know that wants to take flight
away from the hum-drum and daily routine
that becomes what I experience as if in a dream.

Read the good book. It will show you the way.
That's what they preach in the church every day.
But the good book is filled with murder and gore.
It reads like a fairytale filled with folklore.

No, this brain I was given says to my mind.
'Get off the fine line or you never will find
why they tell you that most of your DNA is junk.'
The reasons they give you are nothing but bunk.

Open up your brain and you will see why
you have been told such a terrible lie.
In this great big universe that has no end
we, as beings will have to ascend.

The only way out is through love, not fear.
The fine line we walk will try to keep us here.
We must let go of our Gods and idols
and then we must eventually choose

to exalt ourseves in the Creation of Light
or stay in the darkness and lose.
