Chinese Whispers
SONNET MMMMXXXVII
To have outraged the wrath in you from ink,
Would leave a Chinese whisper to immerse,
Itself as many whom dispersed methink,
May have from an intention viewed far worse',
For leaving not disdain, than tender phrase,
To dwindle since when'd I become that curse?
Without foreseeing mention - giving praise,
For a misguided youth of words to choose.
I see before me now a glimpse of hurt,
Which not alone, compares to what is Hell,
A conscience too bewildered to convert,
Adds nothing for the Nature one would, well...
...Would not concede to dwelling on the past,
For having whispered first, regretting last.

Its Ours, All Ours
Notes written in blood.
The intention of a malcontented suicide.
Medication for the kids.
Regretting the one life we live.
Its ours, all ours.
We got nobody to blame but ourselves.
A little self discipline for every one of the sins.
Pray and just hope your forgiven.
Take it to the grave.
This the one life we must save.
Notes written in blood.
The intentions of a malcontented suicide.
Medication for the kids.
Regretting the one life we live.
Its ours, all ours, Point the finger,
call out a name. Its the blame game.
It never changes. action and reaction.
A contradiction with every word we speak.
Take it all in.
Accepting everything the way it is.
Stop the self mutilation and the persona that goes with it.
Pain all in measure.
It amounts to a count that has no meaning.
Every time it gets worse.
Notes written blood.
The intention of a malcontented suicide.
Medication for the kids.
Regretting the one life we live.
Its ours, all ours, all ours.
Giving up the most precious gift.
Caught in the rift. Overacting to get it right.

Verities of nature.
The night will always
be followed by a morning
And nature shall always
assume its verities
i say a rift is bound
between the closest souls
But nothing is a rift
for those souls
that to themselves
remain truehearted
i have seen youth fade away
snatching treasures from men
Keeping the verities of nature
i have seen loved ones leave
leaving memories only
So to give verisimilitude
to the verities of nature
i gave real credence
to the verities of nature
When i saw pulchritude
dwindle away
like the setting sun
from the countenance
of yesterday''s stunners
Strange and real
is nature with its verities.

Age considers, youth ventures
Age considers, youth ventures
Age visualizes, youth dreams
Age makes theories, youth experiments
Age loves, youth longs
Age sees people, youth sees places
Age knows belongings, youth discovers them
Age pains to gain, youth gains to others' pain
Age has heart, youth has mind
Age is thoughtful, youth is tactful
Age ponders, youth wonders
Age recounts, youth counts
Age is experienced, youth is in experience
Age is cautious, youth dashes
Age floats, youth swims
Age lives, youth still making a living
Age is in touch with termination, youth with determination
Age is confident, youth is competent
Age adds years to living, youth adds life to living
Age is lost in past, youth is drowned in future
Age is grown, youth is crown
Ageless is youth, youthless is age

What Mother Nature?
The often used phrase Mother Nature that to many seems to be so dear,
When used to describe the weather's maker is very blasphemous I fear.
The term is simply degrading and not befitting to The Creator of all,
And it is just one more sign of the depravity created by man's fall.
The Creator Himself makes the clouds his chariot in the sky up above,
And He rules from His Heavenly Throne with both wrath and with love,
He's not mother tending nature, but the Sovereign Master of the sky,
Who sends rain on both the righteous and unrighteous from on high.
From His hands He sends the lightning flashing down upon the earth,
This is The Creator's gracious warning to all of a new storm's birth.
God then follows this with the sound of His Majestic Awesome thunder,
And all this is just a small glimpse of God's Mighty Awe and Wonder.
When it becomes cold God sends the snow to blanket the now bare land,
Leaving a beautiful winter scene painted by The Master's Mighty hand.
The breath of God produces ice and the broad waters become frozen.
And the ice and snow that covers the earth stops the labor of all men.
No one truly knows from where the lightning and hail is dispersed,
Or exactly how and why the ice and snow is spread upon the earth.
The test will be the tribulation for all the learned and the wise,
To explain how Mother Nature made hailstones 100 pounds in size.
Types of Poetic Frustration
I tried to write a haiku for you
But it grew too long
Evolving into a song
Wrapped around the sun and morning dewdrops
And giving you props
For making this the best part of my day
In every little way
I tried to write you a sonnet
But almost every line on it
Fell short a few syllables
Not to mention the intensity of end rhyme
Whose rules I broke from time to time
Oh what a curse to have all these words
Trapped in my head
When putting them down on paper
Has only led to poetic frustration
Oh, and I tried to write you a funny poem
But I’ve got pretty dry humor

Nothing Compares To You
It's been seven hours and fifteen days
Since u took your love away
I go out every night and sleep all day
Since u took your love away
Since u been gone I can do whatever I want
I can see whomever I choose
eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
But nothing
I said nothing can take away these blues,
'Cause nothing compares
Nothing compares 2 u
It's been so lonely without u here
Like a bird without a song
Nothing can stop this lonely rage
Tell me baby where did I go wrong
I could put my arms around every boy I see
But they'd only remind me of you
I went to the doctor guess what he told me
Guess what he told me
He said rossie u better have fun
No matter what u do
Cause it's the blues
'Cause nothing compares
Nothing compares 2 u
All the flowers that u planted
In the back yard suga
All died when u went away
I know that living with me baby was sometimes hard
But I'm willing to try, said I'm willing to give it another try.
'Cause nothing compares
Nothing compares 2 u

Shared Absence
There are those with abilities to maneuver,
Into positions quick...
Without a hint of suspicion,
That their subtle comments made...
Have been selected to degrade.
They're on a mission to undo someone unknown,
But...
They pick and choose,
Those they hope have similar views...
With shared absence of any truth.
Whispered in the ears,
Is something sure to please.
With a leaving out of what was done,
To get someone to seethe.
Fragmented doses meant to mention,
To create descensions that begin.
And...
With intent,
These comments tempt a listening.
Whispered in the ears,
Is something sure to please.
With a leaving out of what was done,
To get someone to seethe.
There are those with abilities to maneuver,
Into positions quick...
Without a hint of suspicion,

Dark
I wanna top the rose petals that whisper sweet
Come on
So dark, dark, so dark
So dark, dark, so dark
Inside lookin out my window
I dont see nothin but rain
Sun up in the sky just a shinin (just a shinin)
Still Im lost in my shadow of pain
Like an innocent man thats on death row
I dont understand what made u go
And wanna leave me baby
Leave me in the dark
Can u tell me, tell me?
U took my sex and my money (money)
Took all my self esteem, yes u did
U had the nerve 2 think it was funny (funny)
I never knew a bitch so mean, yes sir
U absolutely drove a man 2 tears
All I really know is that u sincerely
U wanna hurt me baby, oh yes u do
U wanna hurt me in the dark
(sunshine) somebody make the sun shine
(dark cloud) somebody take this dark cloud away
Just as sure as noah built the ark
Thats how sure
Thats how sure I am u broke my heart
How could u baby, leave me in the dark?
Baby, so dark
So dark, dark, so dark
Feel like the sun aint never gonna shine
U left me in the dark
So dark, dark, so dark
I dont know, I dont know why we ever had 2 part
Baby, cant see a damn thing out my window its so dark (so dark)
(so dark, dark, so dark)
Sometimes I want 2 curse the ground u walk on
Even when I know that everything u feel I feel it 2
I wanna curse u baby
U left me in the dark
And now I want 2, I wanna curse u baby
4 leavin me alone, alone, alone
U left me in the dark, yes u did
And now all I wanna say is
In the dark
Ow, u left me
Ow, u left me
Its like being on death row (in the dark)
I dont understand why u had 2 go
I dont understand why u (hurt me in the dark)
Dont understand why u (hurt me in the dark)
Dont understand why u hurt me (hurt me, hurt me)
Hurt me (hurt me in, hurt me in)
Hurt me, hurt me, hurt me (hurt me in the dark)
Just leave me
In the dark
In the dark
So dark, dark, so dark (in the dark)
So dark, dark, so dark
In the dark

The Other Side
When certain sages wrote how things are viewed,
I took to heart one clause that struck my mirth,
And to this day my heart it has imbued,
With so much strength, my mind with much self worth;
Events as viewed depends on where you stand,
As in a seashore, choose which part you'd be,
Such as in tide, the water goes to strand,
Or in the ebbing, choose to be at sea;
For Death could be a start or be an end,
That hackneyed phrase is best to sum it all,
Your Faith from which your peace may all depend,
Invokes a Source to Whom you might would call;
Your soul could still avail reality,
Of life ethereal in eternity!

Wife to Be (Petrarchan Sonnet)
I stroll along a fragrant country lane
With honeysuckle perfume on the air -
And feathered crooner's warble to revere -
Then cross a golden sea of flowing grain
In empathy - it seems to sense my pain
Of knowing all was done with my affair -
Her empty meaning now the solitaire
She cast away - betrothment all in vain.
But oceans team with many fish to catch
So I must up and hoist another sail
And seek the one that really waits for me,
For soon auspicious breezes will prevail
In guiding forth to find a truer match:
The one to take my hand as wife to be.

An Introduction To The Ensuing Discourse.
These lines I at this time present
To all that will them heed,
Wherein I show to what intent
God saith, Convert[2] with speed.
For these four things come on apace,
Which we should know full well,
Both death and judgment, and, in place
Next to them, heaven and hell.
For doubtless man was never born
For this life and no more:
No, in the resurrection morn
They must have weal or woe.
Can any think that God should take
That pains, to form a man
So like himself, only to make
Him here a moment stand?
Or that he should make such ado,
By justice, and by grace;
By prophets and apostles too,
That men might see his face?
Or that the promise he hath made,
Also the threatenings great,
Should in a moment end and fade?
O! no, this is a cheat.
Besides, who is so mad, or worse,
To think that Christ should come
From glory, to be made a curse,
And that in sinners' room,
If nothing should by us be had
When we are gone from hence,
But vanities, while here? O mad
And foolish confidence.
Again, shall God, who is the truth,
Say there is heaven and hell
And shall men play that trick of youth
To say, But who can tell?
Shall he that keeps his promise sure
In things both low and small,
Yet break it like a man impure,
In matters great'st of all?
O, let all tremble at that thought,
That puts on God the lie,
That saith men shall turn unto nought
When they be sick and die.
Alas, death is but as the door
Through which all men do pass,
To that which they for evermore
Shall have by wrath or grace.
Let all therefore that read my lines,
Apply them to the heart:
Yea, let them read, and turn betimes,
And get the better part.
Mind therefore what I treat on here,
Yea, mind and weigh it well;
'Tis death and judgment, and a clear
Discourse of heaven and hell.

It Is What It Is
“It is what it is”
-Such a popular phrase!
And folks spread it around
Like Fast Food Mayonnaise.
It’s been used to describe
Economic foment,
The state of the arts and
The high cost of rent.
A phrase often spoken
When you wish to seem wise-
In the loop, in the know,
But it’s all just a guise.
It’s a symptom of sorts
Of our current malaise
You did not hear it much
in our halcyon days.
In that past, half remembered,
where house prices rose.
Where portfolios doubled,
and we all wore new clothes.
We were kings of the world
And we partied till three.
Now we live on fixed income
And we struggle to pee.
“It is what it is”
Is no optimist’s line
It’s a dull sounding phrase
Half resigned to hard times.
It implies things are bad
and inclined to get worse.
“It is what it is”
To me it’s a curse.

Shakespearean Wish
A troublesome find
To choose words well
Your strength of mind
Gone straight to hell
To build a sonnet
‘Ts work of art
Do not neglect
Your strength of heart
For any one man
With simple math
Must draw a plan
And choose his path
Were my fortunes equal to my desire
A wish; for the missing syllables I require

Good Morning Beautiful
One of these days you'll break me of many things
Some cold white day, but you're crazy if you think I would leave you this way
You should wake up before the wrath comes
(me and you) could take off before the wrath comes...soon
And one of these days I pray it will be sometime soon
On a day like today, you'd be crazy not to want me to teach you the way
You should wake up before the wrath comes
(me and you) could take off before the wrath comes...soon
Well I know what you're like - I've read it on the walls
You're too tired, you choose heaven over the earth and me but come on please...
You should wake up before the wrath comes
(me and you) could take off before the wrath comes
Well (maybe you) should take off
(yeah you) should take off

Through The Floor
Album: misguided roses
Through the floor
Bathed in sunlight woke from dreams
Of murderous intention
Pursued by dogs and men and things
Im just too scared to mention
And the first thing that I think of
Are her sympathetic eyes
That see with only positive emotion
And she talks of being grumpy,
But I know that grumpys not her style
And I soak up all her beauty
cause Im only here awhile
And I muddle through my docket,
Nestle in the pocket
Just sit back and think about the world
And the only thing I see
When shes looking back at me
Is the promise of how life could be
And as I wrote my chest got tight for her
I know that Im not right for her
And I couldnt live
If I ever caused her pain
But at least I have a message
That I can leave
That tells her of this spin inside
My gears turning,
Im still learning to trust myself
But at least Ive told her
Of this difficult good-bye
Seven minutes before
Im leaving and now my chest is heaving
I just cant go like I did before
And tomorrow Ill be miles away and dreaming
That she hears my voice
Floating through the floor

In Concession
Longing for a heart,
to throw a love poem at
caring not, the words used
staggering with thoughts
confounded bliss
swaying in the tallest grass
But I find nothing
no secret smiles
whispers escape me
sentences hung with clichés
crumpled despair
I am no Shakespeare
nor dreaming lover,
But arise!
I shall throw ink to paper
never mind it sticking
I'll pen a sonnet
a ballad
an elegy
a legend!
Indeed I concede
my words to scrolls
an honor for the dust
splashing words
for a never met romance
read once-upon-a-time
and captured,
a poets affair.
And mayhap
leaving you to the winds
I'll confide it to the gods.
There's Magic Still In Love
Never lost.
Never,
Bewildered.
No, I'm...
Never lost.
No...ever,
Bewildered.
But I can be,
The one deceived.
And I can be,
Too naïve.
Also the one,
To believe...
There's magic still in love.
Never lost.
Never,
Bewildered.
No, I'm...
Never lost.
Nor...ever,
Bewildered.
But I can be,
The one deceived.
And I can be,
Too naïve.
Also the one,
To believe...
There's magic still in love,
For me.
Even when the clouds are gray,
I'm the one to believe...
They'll go away,
Permanently...
Depending on the Sun that rises.
And those tears from me that leave.
But I can be,
The one deceived.
And I can be,
Too naïve.
Also the one,
To believe...
There's magic still in love,
For me.
Even when the clouds are gray.
Never lost.
Never,
Bewildered.
No, I'm...
Never lost.
Nor...ever,
Bewildered.
But I can be,
Much too honest.
And I can hurt,
Easily.
Yet still believe,
There is magic...
Kept inside my heart,
To find for me...
True love.

Vainly Irreverent
So many words used in vain, especially, God's Awesome Name,
For God doesn't damn things, as an empty phrase of man rings,
He damns nations and countries, all the lands found in the seas,
And the peoples in each land, who against God take their stand.
This goes with 'Oh My God', in spiritually empty lands men trod,
An empty phrase used by people, even in houses with a steeple,
Dismissing reverence for His Name, as it's used so often in vain,
Unpunished, men shall not be, for using God's Name irreverently.
Such is the mindset of today, knowing not what God has to say,
Or know not God's Only Son, or that soon to earth He will come;
So the vanity gets even worse, when using His Name as a curse,
And not used simply by a few, but even by men like me and you.
Hell even used as an interjection, is just more of man's rejection,
Of The Lord God's ultimate Truth, of which, they will see reproof,
Dismissing Truths in God's Word, all their rejection isn't unheard,
By The Lord God, Who is over all, lands and men, big and small.
According to God's Revelation, He'll judge every man and nation,
By the authority of God's Own Son, Who came to save everyone,
As all who have come to Christ, shall be ushered into Eternal Life,
But all talking irreverently of God, will see judgment with His Rod.
Without Christ
Living without Jesus is hell.
Without him, you will fail.
He died by cross and nails
and saved us from the flames of hell.
Christ did not put up a fight.
He showed us that we have to forgive in order to live right.
He could have called his angels to save him from this wrath.
But his purpose was set and that was that...
He loved us long before we knew him,
and long before our existence.
His suffering would save many
and that's why he refused resistance.
On earth we complain about our pain
but nothing compares to the salvation we can gain.
His suffering was worse than ours,
but he knew that we would be saved.
Satan cheered as Christ died
while Mary and the others cried.
But he resurected than, and he will
be back... Amen! ! !
