Bursting Clouds
Lifting over the horizon
the ground shrinks and falls
into a memory, that disappears
into mountains of white, where
silver winged seraphs soar
and silently burst
through the icy mist
Sound crackles electric as it
touches the glass, catching
the distant familiar buzz
of a native tongue that
calls us back
On slow currents we return
to the ground, now growing
and rising from a memory
that returns in the squealing of tires
that slow and stop
my breath, and turn the mountains
back to mere clouds
dissolving in the sunlight
that beats down on old pavement
black and burned
and my head
forever skyward turned

Burning Ground
And I take you down to the burning ground
And you change me up and you turned it around
In the wind and rain Im gonna see you again
In the morning sun and when the day is done
And you take my hand and you walk with me
Sometimes it feels like eternity
And I turn the tide I get back my pride
And I make you proud wont you say it out loud
When I take you down to the burning ground
To the burning ground, to the burning ground
To the burning ground, to the burning ground
And I take you down by the factory
And I show you like it has to be
And you understand how the work is done
And I pick up the sack in the midday sun
And I pull you through by the skin of your teeth
And I lift the veil, I see whats underneath
And you return to me and you sit on your throne
And you make me feel that Im not alone
And I take you down to the burning ground
To the burning ground, to the burning ground
To the burning ground
Hey man, whats that youre carrying?
Feels like lead
It weighs a ton - lets see if we can dump it by the side of the hill
Hey wait up, why dont you dump it on the burning ground
Dump it down there
Yeh man, dump the jute
Hey man dump the jute on the burning ground
Dump the jute?
Yeh you know, dump the jute
Dump the jute!
On the burning ground
On the burning ground
And you make me think what its all about
Sometimes I know gonna work it out
And I watch you run in the crimson sun
Tear my shirt apart open up my heart
And I watch you run
Down on your bended knees
By the burnt out well
Can you tell me please
Between heaven and hell
Wont you take me down
To the burning ground, to the burning ground
To the burning ground, to the burning ground
And you fall and pray, when you hear that sound
As were walking back to the burial mound
And you shake your head and you turn it around
And you see the flames from the burning ground
And you get down on your knees and pray
And I catch my breath as were running away
And I take the jute and I throw him down
On the burning ground, on the burning ground
On the burning ground, its on the burning ground.....

Hand
Clouds darken the plain.
From all sides, the mountains of the horizon move forward; the plain shrinks, crumpled into valleys that grow deeper. The three rivers become torrents that flow swiftly in their cavernous beds towards those dark spots where they meet: the cities.
Then the sun again.
The mountains move back to the distant circular horizon; the valleys disappear, and the three rivers flow placidly in their scarcely perceptible beds of luminous sands. The cities glisten with their crystal walls and the hard light is reflected from house to house along the glass streets. Men no longer drag their dark-blue shadows like long chains that rattled on the opaque cobble stones. Silence of light: frozen wines of sound. No wind stirs, sleepily coiled around the towers that are transparent stems bearing the white flowers of clouds which float, vehicles for our pure thoughts, like water-lilies on the surface of a stream until they fade into the blue depth of space.

The Soldier's Funeral
The muffled drum rolled on the air,
Warriors, with stately step, were there;
On every arm was the black crape bound,
Every carbine was turned to the ground;
Solemn, the sound of their measured tread,
As silent and slow, they followed the dead.
The riderless horse was led in the rear;
There were white plumes waving over the bier;
Helmet and sword were laid on the pall,
For, it was a soldier's funeral.
That soldier had stood on the battle plain,
Where every step was over the slain;
But the brand and the ball had passed him by,
And he came to his native land, to die.
'Twas hard to come to that native land,
And not clasp one familiar hand;
'Twas hard to be numbered amid the dead,
Before he could hear his welcome said.
But, 'twas something to see its cliffs once more,
And to lay his bones on his own loved shore;
To think, that the friends of his youth might weep,
O'er the green grass turf of the soldier's sleep.
The bugles ceased their wailing sound,
As the coffin was lowered into the ground;
A volley was fired, a blessing said,
One moment's pause, and they left the dead.
I saw a poor and aged man -
His step was feeble, his cheek was wan;
He knelt him down on the new-raised mound,
His face was bowed on the cold damp ground;
He raised his head, his tears were done -
The father had prayed o'er his only son.

The Tally
Blood speckles the earthen ground,
Men sacrifice their life, their mind, their everything.
A fading memory, a shimmering sound.
The face of life wears a frown,
For life is flying on broken wings,
As blood speckles the earthen ground.
Family photos lay strewn to later be found,
Among the anguished souls, still longing, searching,
For a fading memory, a shimmering sound.
Functions cease and pumps break down,
Adrenaline lies dormant, still waiting,
As blood speckles the earthen ground.
Thoughts float by under limits and bounds,
The calls and prayers soothing,
The fading memory, the shimmering sound.
The effort of many, of whose spirits are wound,
Tightly on strings pulled taut by forces of reckoning,
As blood speckles the earthen ground,
For a fading memory, a shimmering sound.

Here Right Now
Head in the clouds you never touch the ground
Youre in such a hurry
You might lose what youve found
Uptown spinning round
Never stop to hear a sound
Stand back and take a look around you
Running from the pressures of a restless world
Hush for a moment, baby, just be still
Here now
Spend a minute next to me
Slow down
Take the time to let it be
I wanna show you
Theres no place better than
Here right now
Meet me where icebergs melt in the sun
Let all the ties that bound you come undone
Open up.youre alive
I miss the fire in your eyes
Give a sign, tell me that you want me
When your overwhelming life becomes too much
Take another breath and you will see
Here now
Spend a minute next to me
Slow down
Take the time to let it be
I wanna show you theres no place better than
Here right now
Here right now
Remember when we laughed and carried on
Long before the madness had begun
Here now
Spend a minute next to me
Slow down
Take the time to let it be
I wanna show you
Theres no place better than
Here right now
Here right now
Here right now

THE GLOOMY NEWS (After rhe big earthquake in 1930s)
there is a bird in Erzincan province
no silver no silver on her wings
my beloved gone..never came back again
no hope of her returning from now on
oh high mountains..high mountains..oh..high mountains
taking its bloody head in its hands
in the middle of the white wild snow
the province ERZİ NCAN weeps in tears
if it did not weep who would have weeped like that
the snow falls in abundance, in flakes to the ground
some say it is a brizzard which comes and passes
but ı cannot say that too
the dead
lying..shoulder to shoulder..side by side
cannot talk and chat
cannot burn their fires at night
the dawn brightens, the sun rises...the horizon enlightens
but noone to get water goes
with their heads pressed heavily down..the dead
slept in their unawakable sleeps..may be dream
from its white stone addressing to the night
the military barracks's clock struck the time as two
how quick..how instant ended the living and the life
some in their six months
some with white beards
some in thirteen..may be fourteen
some intended to go for merry voyage
some waiting for a letter in hope
the dead...lying side by side..shoulder to shoulder
in the churn there was butter
but could not be beaten and never
and the white cheeses ready could not be put into bags
the dead gone in longing and in thirst
they were not satisfied and never got satisfaction of the world
they could not wake up and escape
not being a bird could not fly away
the wells opened for them to save
but nobody could afford to descend
the horses of erzincan walk in ampling on
but the dead could not be able to ride on
the dead..lying side by side..shoulder to shoulder on ground
P.S.I had nothing to give in my purse
but ı wrote a poem from my heart not to get it worse

Total Blackout!
the journey is ending
the head is the first to
signal to me that all
would soon be over
this hair has turned from
black to grey to white
as fast as the memory
is greying into nothingness
they turn white totally white
as sheets of my memory are
but oh god, what a contrast
it would soon be - a total backout!

Turn Of The Screw
Do you feel the turn of the screw?
Pushing harder, breaking through
It's better than you ever knew
Now it gets to take care of you
I won't go and tell it
Don't bet you're due
It swings enough to know the truth
It even left you black and blue
Never stop when there's nothing left to do
The turn of the screw, the turn of the screw
The thing you said you'd never do
The turn of the screw, the turn of the screw
There's no backing out once you've turned the screw
You never thought what they say could be
One night alone and you would see
I think you'll take back all those doubts
Now you know what the talk was all about
The turn of the screw, the turn of the screw
The thing you said you'd never do
The turn of the screw, the turn of the screw
There's no backing out once you've turned the screw
Turn, Turn, Turn it around
Turn, Turn, Turn it here on the ground
Turn, Turn, Turn it around
Turn, Turn, Turn it here on the ground
The turn of the screw, the turn of the screw
The thing you said you'd never do
The turn of the screw, the turn of the screw
There's no backing out once you've turned the screw
The Turn of the Screw

Summers Gone
Crack and break, lifes big mistake,
Im feeling it too, theres no way home.
The summers gone,
The summers gone away.
Back down to earth, a conscience burst,
Im feeling it too, just slipped away.
The summers gone,
The love has gone,
The sun has gone away,
Away
Its turned to grey, just burned away,
A moment too soon, weve turned to grey...
Just like yesterday,
Its turned to black and white.
Cold as stone, no contact known
Youre feeling it too, as thoughts decay.
The summers gone, the colours gone,
The sun has gone away
Its turned to grey, just burned away,
A moment too soon, weve turned to grey,
Just like yesterday,
Its turned to black and white.
Oh, youre thinking back, youre going back to places that youve been,
Where days could last forever, but you can only dream,
Oh, were going back Im looking back to places that weve seen,
Moments that have been, places we can dream.
Crash and break, lifes big mistake,
Youre feeling it too, just slipped away.
The love has gone,
The summers gone away.
Its turned to grey, just burned away,
A moment too soon, weve turned to grey,
Just like yesterday, yesterday
Its turned to grey, just burned away,
A moment too soon, weve turned to grey,
Just like yesterday, yesterday...

The Return
See, they return; ah, see the tentative
Movements, and the slow feet,
The trouble in the pace and the uncertain
Wavering!
See, they return, one by one,
With fear, as half-awakened;
As if the snow should hesitate
And murmur in the wind,
and half turn back;
These were the "Wing'd-with-Awe,"
Inviolable.
Gods of the Wingèd shoe!
With them the silver hounds,
sniffing the trace of air!
Haie! Haie!
These were the swift to harry;
These the keen-scented;
These were the souls of blood.
Slow on the leash,
pallid the leash-men!

Home 3
Often I had gone this way before
But now it seemed I never could be
And never had been anywhere else;
'Twas home; one nationality
We had, I and the birds that sang,
One memory.
They welcomed me. I had come back
That eve somehow from somewhere far:
The April mist, the chill, the calm,
Meant the same thing familiar
And pleasant to us, and strange too,
Yet with no bar.
The thrush on the oaktop in the lane
Sang his last song, or last but one;
And as he ended, on the elm
Another had but just begun
His last; they knew no more than I
The day was done.
Then past his dark white cottage front
A labourer went along, his tread
Slow, half with weariness, half with ease;
And, through the silence, from his shed
The sound of sawing rounded all
That silence said.

Pepper | Smart Mouth Poetry / lyrics
Sharp tongue, smart mouth
Fine line, know how
Stay calm, pull it together
Speaks soft, don’t sound like pepper
It hurts, tastes sharp
When you walk in, and start to talk
Cuts deep, feel it forever
My heart is burning, burning like pepper
Stop, sounding, like pepper
Scattering your pieces all over
You’re gonna, stay black forever
So I’ll ground you, the more the better
I’ll ground you like pepper
Ground you like pepper
Ground you forever
It would be better
If you stopped the pepper
Stop with the spice
Stop with the tone
Stop burning holes
Right threw my bones
I’ve got a heart
It’s soft and its tender
Try and be smart
Stop using pepper

Cloud Formations and Jane..
I like cloud formations
Jane said
laying on her back
in the small church yard
looking up at the sky
above her head
it's like a form of art
you said
grey and white
against a canvas of blue
that looks like a man's head
Jane said
the way it forms
and unforms
you followed
the pointing
of her finger at the sky
that looks like a dog
over there
you said
she looked
and then gazed at you
her blue eyes
catching the sun's light
through a tree above
I like these moments alone
with you
she said
no one near us
no disturbance
no sounds save for birdsong
and the buzz of bees
you moved closer to her
and lay with you right hand
supporting your head
searching her eyes
her dark hair
about her face
daddy said
that Heaven is above us
and looking
at the cloud formations
I feel I see it
especially when the sun
shines through
she said
her lips moving
with slow motion
I think that sometimes
you said
she leaned nearer to you
and kissed your lips
then lay back
and stared at the clouds
and sky
and you lay back too
thinking inwardly
this is where
I'd like to lie
the day I die.

Forgetting The Moon
i invite you
to sit upon a hill
under the acacia tree
to view the moon
it is full tonight
rising from the shadows of
the mountains
i hold your hand
and your long hair
touches my shoulder
we sit tonight
silently admiring the moon rising
from the shadows of the mountains
i gaze upon your eyes
and we kiss under the cool shade
of the acacia trees
after that night
i lay upon my bed inside my room
still thinking about you
and that kiss
i have forgotten about the full moon
rising from the shadows of the mountains
i am the poet
who first scribbles the most beautiful poem about you.

Turn Around
I was working all night in my office
When a man I had recently killed
Called me up from a phone near my building
So I looked out the window at him
He had the same obsequious manner
That was the reason I had him killed
So to calm my nerves I sang this song
To him, over the phone
Turn around, turn around
Theres a thing there that can be found
Turn around, turn around
Its a human skull on the ground
Human skull on the ground
Turn around
I was out by myself in the graveyard
I was doing an interpretive dance
When I felt something heavy and pointed
Strike me in the back of the neck
And then the ghost of my dance instructor
Pushed me down into an open grave
And as dirt rained down she played a xylophone
And sang me this song
Turn around, turn around
Theres a thing there that can be found
Turn around, turn around
Its a human skull on the ground
Human skull on the ground
Turn around
We were waving our arms out the window
Of a fast moving passenger train
Acting in an irresponsible fashion
Until the engineer whose back had been turned
And who we thought would find us highly amusing
Quickly swiveled his head around
And his face which was a paper-white mask of evil
Sang us this song
Turn around, (round) turn around (round)
Theres a thing there that can be found (theres a thing there that can be)
Turn around, (found) turn around (round)
Its a human skull on the ground (its a human skull on the)
Human skull (ground) on the ground (round)
Turn around (turn around, turn around)
Turn around, (round) turn around (round)
Theres a thing there that can be found (theres a thing there that can be)
Turn around, (found) turn around (round)
Its a human skull on the ground (its a human skull on the)
Human skull (ground) on the ground (round)
Turn around (turn around, turn around)

Wild Eyes
As I sit here now
In the throne of my becoming
Numb with cold
And old with age.
Each page fresh
A life anew and breathing.
I feel at ease,
At one with the soul of the world forgiving
Living the moment
Within each movement in expression.
Each day I re arrange what it is to be so real
Never as I think and always as I feel.
Forever will it be such golden a dream
Such distant star moving silent silver gleams
Forever yet never to know
What the movements really mean.
Am I to forget myself in the memory ever loosing?
Am I to loose myself in the decision forever choosing?
Strange emotions stir
Wild eyes.
I feel the demon rising
So slow it stirs at first
The memory of the mountain within the serpents curse
Virgins mounds, unfound fantasies
Dance this night of mystery
Fall into the arms of twilight
Embrace the night as it finds you.

Prayer For Elizabeth
In the morning
of my memory
you bake
apple pies.
And grow very tired
and sit very still
and sit very silent
as the camera
undresses reality
leaves you
alone
sculpted sunlight
naked as a
lonely as a
photograph.
In the evening
of my memory
the touch of
your hand asks:
'Donall? '
The cradle of my arm
answers:
'Yes, Elizabeth? '
And although nothing is
said:
the fire's glow
nods & knows
the quiet secrets
we share
between us.
In the night
time of my memory
now when darkness
sees you
(again a little girl)
hear you tell
how you thought
every woman
dressed in black
on the white ribbons
of distant roads
was your Mammy
walking towards you
though she had gone
and never come back
(the grownups mentioned Heaven)
from the Spring sunlight
and the white white clothes
drying on the currant bushes
(her heart stopped its beating
your heart skipped a beat)
and the rope fell from
your hand
and the game was left
unplayed
and everyone forgot about
the white white clothes
and...they rotted on
the currant bushes.
Now in the night
time of my memory
when I long to touch
your hand
(and my heart
misses you)
and the fire smiles
upon my face
and the shadows
fall upon
the empty chair
then thought
becomes you
and you
become a memory
and your memory
becomes my prayer.

Leaping Salmon
I will not dream another's sweet musings
when the truth is only partly known
the fruit is so sweet but of another knowledge
but face my own full on
naked in the darkness
and recognise that which has never been shown before
and dream it as my own
I will not share you with another
I cannot
for their knowledge would lack the spice of experience
I am the silver salmon driving out of the peat black water into the
daylight
Rising rising
timeless and heavy
Falling backwards into the darkness
I am inside you rising up through the water feeling the water rush past
my
flanks
light flickers above
Searching for the head waters
They are there. I smell them
Peatiness all round
I hold your flanks
Pass my hands to your front, beneath your gills
fingers just apart
sensing your power running past my fingers
Silver water running through my fingers
Pass my hands down your sides
Sense the water passing over my skin
Surges rising up
geysers of water silver spume
The salmon rises
My beautiful salmon, you rise and explode gasping in the electric air
showers of jewels tremble in the sunlight
the sound of a thousand water falls
The pinky darkness of your open mouth
catching the irresdecent droplets
Your flanks tremble in the sun
and fall
back into the enveloping water
bubbles rise
Dark fish sinks into the velvet darkness
Still Still Swish Still
Held like a chalice

Bubble Pop Electric
I'm empty, I need fulfilling, yes I do love
To the ceiling, when I do love
I get this feeling when I'm in love
I'm restless, can't you see I try my bestest
To be good girl, because it's just us
So take me now and do me justice
I'm waiting patiently
Anticipating your arrival
And I'm hating
It takes so long to get to my house
To take me out
Tonight, I'm gonna give you all my love in the back seat
Bubble pop electric, bubble pop electric
Gonna speed it down and slow it up in the back seat
Bubble pop electric
Uh-oh, in the back seat
Ok now, I understand he's on his way now
But jeez Louise, I mean today now
I can't wait, I wanna play now
I'm antsy
Bubble pop electric pansies
My sweet tooth, I want your candy
The Queen of Eng would say it randy
I'm itchy
I wish you would come and scratch me
Tonight I'm falling, won't you catch me
Swoop on by, so you can snatch me
And take me out
Tonight, I'm gonna give you all my love in the back seat
Bubble pop electric, bubble pop electric
Gonna speed it down and slow it up in the back seat
Bubble pop electric
Uh-oh, in the back seat
The need to be satisfied
Come pick me up, I want a ride
Hurry, hurry, come to me
Drive in movie
Drive in, move me
Drive into me
Bubble pop electric
You've gotta get it
(Straight to me, drive in movie)
Take it to the back seat
Run it like a track meet
(Come to me, drive in movie)
[2x]
Tonight, I'm gonna give you all my love in the back seat
Bubble pop electric, bubble pop electric
Gonna speed it down and slow it up in the back seat
Bubble pop electric
Uh-oh, in the back seat

Mysteries In My Life
When I was born,
God gave me two gifts.
One was the talent to write
which I do prolifically
not for profit or gain,
but just to entertain
and make people think
and smile occasionally.
The other gift God gave to me
is far more mysterious
and something I cannot fully understand.
I see and hear things
I cannot readily explain.
Not all what I see and hear
can always be seen or heard by others.
There are exceptions
when I witness them not alone
and then they are as mystified as I am.
A house that burns to the ground,
never rebuilt, but a year later
it burns to the ground again.
A ball of light falls from a night sky
into someone’s back garden
only to fly back up to the heavens and disappear.
Ladies footsteps in an empty tailor shop
descending down from the top floor
when no one is there.
Something or someone once sat on my bed,
but could never be seen only felt.
A light in a church that hid people
that could only be visible
through a camera’s lens and on film.
A giant butterfly of beautiful colours
seen in the middle of December,
a black cat in a warehouse that disappears.
Each following the death of someone dear.
A female student who disappears
witnessed by a friend and I
and who was seen many times.
What does it mean?
Today a dark stranger leaves a room,
turns then disappears.
The rising and falling of a pavement
that resembled the earth breathing
as I waited for my wife.
Strange as it seems
they are always happening to me.
There are many more experiences,
which I have not written down.
Hallucinations, an over active imagination, maybe.
They are not caused by drink or drugs,
as I partake of neither.
Only God knows the answer
and maybe one day he may tell me.
