We have been God-like in our planned breeding of our domesticated plants and animals, but we have been rabbit-like in our unplanned breeding of ourselves.

A disagreement with T.S. Elliot (Partial Sonnet.)

I question T.S.Elliot’s remark
on April and the jist of what he said.
Some genius loves to languish in the dark
Lapping with the lilacs of the dead? *

So shakening the wakening of the year
Nostalgia and necrosis lay entwined*
For those who covet fantasies of fear
Hoisting sombre umbrellas o’er their mind

For me, this month’s allure has NEVER flagged.
(Coz “April” was the first lass wot I shagged!)

* Inspired by the quote:

“ April is the cruellest month, breeding lilacs out of the dead land, mixing memory and desire, stirring dull roots with spring rain.” -T.S.Elliot

Good breeding differs, if at all, from high breeding only as it gracefully remembers the rights of others, rather than gracefully insists on its own rights.

Ripples in April 9,2012

‘April is the cruellest month, breeding

Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing

Memory and desire, stirring

Dull roots with spring rain‘ -(Waste Land)

...

Prosaic spring night; droplets of carbon monoxide

Paint brazen leaves with dark shades of truth.

Rumbling doomsday drums stun to silence

The monotony of treachery.

Fires, fangs rule our reasons as spring gasp for breath.

Welcome change from the hypocrisy of sunshine

Peddled by the wizards of fertility; hoax and lies mixed with vomit.

I drink my night under the corrugated iron shade; and sleep

Comfortably dead.

Out Of Tune

Overwhelming as they are
Breeding hope by counting stars
Merge the bitterness the pain
Which Im sure
You can explain again
One gets hurt when she feels small
( and shes longing for some peace )
Beeing the center of it all
( slow attack but fast release )
Hear the difference in vain
Out of tune but just not quite the same
Overwhelming as they are
( with their mistifying glow )
Breeding hope by counting stars
( as they hunger for the show )
Hear the difference in vain
Out of tune but just not quite the same

We were in opposition to the decision to go to war. But after the war happened, it was clear that you could not sit and look-there would be a breeding ground for terrorism or a new collapsed or failed state named Iraq!

In Fancy I Hear

In fancy i hear the male snipe in his courtship display
O'er the rushy fields on a calm night in May
With his tail as he flies he makes a goat like bleating sound
That echoes in the sky above his breeding ground,
Above his breeding ground perhaps 'tis his territory he advertise
That the more sound he make the bigger his size
He sends out a warning across the night sky
To neighbouring snipes who are listening nearby
In the rank grass by the drain her blotched eggs warm neath her breast
His secretive brown wife she sits on her nest
Whilst her mate in the dark sky he flies to and fro
Making goat like bleating sounds to leave other snipes know
That this is his territory and all through the night
He sends out a warning in the dim moonlight.
