Big Bang Theories
Hawking says it begins this way
a thought expressing itself in the
darkness of nothing: 'no thing'
and then exploding itself across the vast expanse of time
we are composites of these
deposits - particles shooting
out our momentary brilliance
much like the tiny fragments
leftover from this God's eye
burning out in our own atmosphere
a shooting star
I saw a shooting star
arc its way across the sable tapestry
which in profundity is a miraculous
dice game of chance
some etymological particle left
from the Big Bang of the universe
spewing its essence across the
facade of time
and galactic distance
I should not be surprised then
by the toying of the universe
the gamble of irony
that when I see a shooting star
the imagery which comprises it
is that of my old co-worker Duane
who told me about the time
he nailed that Russian exchange student Svetlana
on the rooftop of our building
hanging over the parapet doggy style
so they both could see the twilight
view out across the lake
drawers dropped around mustard Frye ankle workboots
and as he put it in this most
ecstatic twilight vision
a shooting star burned up its brilliance
at the exact moment he busted his nut
This is what I am left with
every time I see a shooting star
Duane's cleft moon in concert
with the universe's Big Bang
both expending themselves in the darkness

Wishing on a shooting star
I wished upon a shooting star
As it went through the sky,
I wished upon a shooting star
As it shot right by.
I wished upon a shooting star
That my prayers would all come true,
I wished upon a shooting star
And then I thought of you.
I wished upon a shooting star
And noticed I was crying,
I wished upon a shooting star
And realized I was dying.
I wished upon a shooting star
But my wish never came true,
I wished upon a shooting star
And hoped it would get me through.
I wished upon a shooting star
That the she would still be there,
I wished upon a shooting star
That she would always care.
I wished upon a shooting star
Here in this night sky,
I wished upon a shooting star
That our love will never die.

A Shooting Star Is Not A Star
A shooting star is not a star
Is not a star at all
A shooting star's a meteor
That's heading for a fall
A shooting star is not a star
Why does it shine so bright?
The friction as it falls through air
Produces heat and light
A shooting star or meteor
Whichever name you like
The minute it comes down to Earth
It's called a meteorite

Shooting Star
Seen a shooting star tonight and I thought of you
Youre trying to break into another world
A world I never knew
I always kinda wondered if you ever made it through
Seen a shooting star tonight and I thought of you
Seen a shooting star tonight and I thought of me
If I was still the same, if I ever became what you wanted me to be
Did I miss the mark, overstep the line that only you could see
Seen a shooting star tonight and I thought of me
Listen to the engine, listen to the bell
As the last firetruck from hell goes rollin by
All good people are praying
Its the last temptation, the last account
The last time you might hear the sermon on the mount
Last radios playing
Seen a shooting star tonight slip away
Tomorrow will be another day
Guess its too late to say the things to you that you needed to hear me say
Seen a shooting star tonight slip away

Shooting Star
All the people had their share of the glory
Looking out after you
Its just a story about winners and glory
And you know that its true
Ah ha, oh yeah, youre just a shooting star
Ah ha, oh yeah, youre just a shooting star
Some men may glory from a different condition
Of another car
And later persuasion would permit the arranging
Of a ...
And to cause more confusion, and to make this illusion
Would have gone too far
And its my ambition, of a jacket ignition
In a cadillac metal car
Ah ha, oh yeah, youre just a shooting star
Ah ha, oh yeah, youre just a shooting star
Ah ha, oh yeah, youre just a shooting star
Ah ha, oh yeah, youre just a shooting star
Youre just a shooting star

My Shooting Star
You are my shooting star so bright
Your smile gives me my life
You have taken me so far
Your only job: being my shooting star
You see no destination
Your love and pain; quite the combination
A lot easier it would have been
When I look back and realize when
You were my shooting star
Your love, I foolishly believed
I could keep
You changed my life so fast
Your encouraging me was by following no path
I knew the joy
Of an amazing boy
My shooting star
Knowing no distance; neither near or far
Shooting stars can be touched but never kept
And they can't love
I also will always know
The pain of letting one go

Shooting Star
VERSE:
Johnny was a school boy when he heard his first Beatles song
Love Me Do, I think it was and from there it didn't take him long
Got himself a guitar, used to play every night
Now he's in a rock & roll outfit, and everything's all right
BRIDGE:
Don't you know?
VERSE:
Johnny told his Momma, Hey Momma I'm goin' away
I'm gonna hit the big time, gonna be a big star someday
Momma came to the door with a tear drop in her eye
Johnny said, Don't cry Momma smile & wave goodbye
CHORUS:
Don't you know, yeah, yeah
Don't you know that you are a shooting star
Don't you know, don't you know
Don't you know that you are a shooting star
And all the world will love you just as long
As long as you are
VERSE:
Johnny made a record, went straight up to number one
Suddenly everyone loved to hear him sing the song
Watching the world go by, surprisin' it goes so fast
Johnny looked around him and said, Well, I made the big time at
last
CHORUS:
Don't you know, don't you know
Don't you know that you are a shooting star
Don't you know, woah yeah
Don't you know that you are a shooting star, yeah
And all the world will love you just as long
As long as you are, a shooting star
Don't you know that you are a shooting star
Don't you know, ahhh
Don't you know that you are a shooting star
And all the world will love you just as long
As long as you are
Johnny died one night, died in his bed
Bottle of whiskey, sleepin' tablets by his head
Johnny's life passed him by like a warm summer day
If you listen to the wind, you can still hear him play
Woah...
Don't you know that you are a shooting star
Don't you know, don't you know
Don't you know that you are a shooting star
Don't you know
Don't you know that you are a shooting star
Don't you, don't you, don't you, don't you, don't you know
Don't you know you are a shooting star
Na, na, na, na..

A Shooting Star Flew By One Night
A shooting Star flew by one night
I wished upon its burning light
I wished for love to fill a heart
For love taken away in the dark
A Shooting Star flew by one night
I wished upon its burning light
My wish was answered by you and you
Who would have known the love of few
Would grow to heaven’s blue
A Shooting Star flew by one night
I wished upon its burning light
A knight in shining armor you might not be
A protector with strength and love you have given me
A Shooting Star flew by one night
I wished upon its burning light
Your love for us you have not failed
You took our hands and rode the Shooting Star’s tail
A Shooting Star flew by one night
I wished upon its burning light
Although I wished for many more
My love for you I will always adore
A Shooting Star flew by one night
I wished upon its burning light
May heaven bring us Peace
Your love for us will never cease

Shooting Star
Oooh
No one seems to think too much of me here
and they're glad to tell it to my face
And though I am not suppose to be here
I'm completely out of place
Somehow there has got to be a reason
even as I try to think it through
There's a bold from the blue
And I see a shooting star (And I see a star)
Set apart from all the rest
While the other stars are standing still (ooh)
He's on a quest
Every night this shooting star (Every night this star)
Dancing across the twilight sky
Cause he knows he doesn't quit fit in (ooh)
and he's longing to know why

My Shooting Star
In the abyss of my world
You are a shooting star
I appreciate the beauty
The beauty from afar
You light up my horizon
By showing me a path
A path of no regret
Or hatred or wrath
You hover around the sky
I wander around the land
I feel like a desert
With you as my sand
Coz you are a shooting star
You are MY shooting star
And I'll be looking up to you
No matter where you are
(2nd April 2009) - My 11th Poem...
Shoot The Shooting Star
you wished upon a star
the first star
was a fake
you wished upon another star
it was a failure
you wished upon the third star
it was useless and gave you nothing
you wished again on the fourth star
it was ungrateful and took almost everything from you
and then another star
and then another star shooting before you
they all gave you despair
and you believe not
on any star anymore
then you learned to live
without any star
the stars are not true
and you are so disappointed
with all the falsities they are telling you
finally
you have this shotgun in your hand
and then this lone shooting star came one night
splendid in such a dark space
you shot it
hit it
and there it exploded, shattered
it was the only star intended for you
and it was true

Shooting Star
Like a shooting star
Across the midnight sky
Wherever you are
You're gonna see me fly
Like a shooting star
Across the midnight sky
Wherever you are
You're gonna see me fly!
So high!
Like a shooting star
Across the midnight sky
Wherever you are
You're gonna see me fly
Like a shooting star
Across the midnight sky
Wherever you are
You're gonna see me fly!
Across the midnight sky!
Where were you to hold my hand?
Do the things that we had planned?
Yes

Driveby
Its a random kind of thing
Came upon a delicate flower
I cant believe a machine gun sings
Driveby, driveby, driveby, driveby
Well he borrowed his girlfiends car
Went out riding with the boys
Now shes gone like a shooting star
Driveby, driveby, driveby, driveby
Now shes gone like a shooting star
Trail of dreams tragic trail of fire
Now shes gone like a shooting star
Driveby, driveby, driveby, driveby
Well you feel invincible
Its just a part of life
Theres a feud going on and you dont know
Driveby, driveby, driveby, driveby

Star Up So Far Away
Star up there so far away
I see your awesome glare
I often lay outside at night
Can’t help but ahhh and stare
I make a wish upon this one
To me it seems its winking
At this time a shooting star
My eyes gazed at its twinkling
Then I meet this special one
So near yet far away
Stund by her beauty
I knew not what to say
Yet somehow I dared to speak
Surely I knew id fall
Amazed I even got reply
She chose to call me doll
The mystery of the shooting star
Has now become so clear
My wish that night was granted
She’s come to bring me cheer

Unopened rose
At first glance,
An unopened rose never shows its true beauty
At first try,
It’s impossible to touch a shooting star
The first time we’ve met,
I didn’t know how gorgeous you could be
Just like the unopened rose,
I know after time, the unopened rose turns into a beautiful rose
A shooting may never be touched,
But it’s possible to get closer
A shooting star comes and goes once in a while
And I know it’s impossible to bring it for you
But if you get the chance to glance at it,
You will know what beauty is.
Also an unopened rose bloom once in a while
But each time the rose is in blossom,
You can really appreciate the beauty of it
Just like an unopened rose,
You are my unopened rose,
Some one who you deeply want to meet and keep meeting
Just like the rose opening with each day that passes,
you become more precious each day to me
But unlike an unopened rose that comes and goes,
You will stay forever in my heart and mind.

A Christmas Wish
Every christmas I get asked what I want,
Every year this question haunts,
Hanging over me,
All I want is to be free,
No more worries,
No more lies,
No more keeping it inside,
A christmas wish this year is what I wish for,
As i walk along the sea shore,
I don't believe in father christmas,
But I do believe in a christmas miracle,
One that doesn't come from above,
A shooting star,
We've come so far,
From where he left use,
Empty and bear,
Making us wish we weren't there,
I make my christmas wish,
Upon a shooting star,

Finale
Across the sky a streak of light,
a shooting star, a meteor.
Against the darkness of the night,
a sight I’ve often seen before.
I sometimes wonder where they’ve been.
Before they’re caught by gravity
and forced to play their final scene
and burn out spectacularly.
Each one I’ve seen was similar
and yet unique in its own way
A meteor or shooting star.
In its last moments would display
its signature across the sky
A rather splendid way to die.

Shining Tonight
You're a star
You'll go far
Doesn't matter who you are
It's time to go
Time to fly
Way up in that beautiful sky
I see you shine
Oh so bright
Wish I could be with you tonight
We have the moonlight
We have the stars shining bright!
Doesn't matter who you are
Your a star
We will go far
Your my shooting star
My shooting star
Gonna drive all day
Gonna drive all night
I don't care if I gotta fight
Just to see your alright
Gotta look into your eyes
Gotta see your smile
Gotta hear your laugh
Gotta feel your touch
Gotta feel your breathe
All I want is you to be with me
Your a star
You'll go far
Doesn't matter who you are
Just as long
As I see your face
I'll know then
There is a safe place

Desires and Disillusions
heaven, grant me my wish
i want a sky, so clear and bright
with stars like pearls in the oceans of galaxies
and a crescent moon that will smile at me
heaven, please make it real
i want that starry night to suddenly turn so dark
and from nowhere i would see a spark
a star will fall and will glitter at my sight
heaven, that star will fulfill my childish wish
and i will wish that she'll be with me tonight
together we will watch the rain of fire
with shooting stars in that starless romantic sky
heaven, grant me my wish
i want a star to send her my message
i want a star so that she won't forget
she will remember forever that flash of my love
heaven, that is my wish
a shooting star for my miss..

Superstar
You are the rising star and,
She is the shooting star;
But, i am the superstar!
Enjoy my fruits of true independence with me and,
Come to me like the tea from the sea of love.
Learn the A to Z of poetry with me and,
Try tto pay your debts and be at bay for love;
For i am lovely and i need love from you too.
My love to is like to look and to book for you,
My heart to you is like to see and to be a bee for you,
For i am single and i need your sweet love beisde me.
I am the superstar!
So come and play with me and take me to your paradise! !
For you are all that makes me see the world better.
You are the rising star and,
She is the shooting star;
But, i am the superstar!
