Best
The best gift in the world comes
from the best part of the world
and the best part of the world comes from Africa,
and the best part of Africa comes from west Africa and the best part
of west Africa comes from Nigeria,
and the best part of Nigeria comes
from Niger delta,
and the best part of Niger delta
comes from Delta State and the
best part of Delta State comes
from Warri,
and the best part of Warri comes from my community and
the best thing that has happened
in my community is you&me.

President Goodluck
President Goodluck of Nigeria,
What news do you have for the Nigerians?
For many are already dead and gone in the name of the oil fields in the Niger Delta!
But the trees are still standing and watching us all on this issue.
Try to put things right to save your own people from the Niger Delta,
For the Niger Delta means a lot to the Nigerians and the world at large;
So i am ready to hear more positive news on this issue about the Niger Delta.

River Niger
Many rivers join up to the River Niger,
As it flows along many West African countries to reach up to the sea;
Port Harcourt will give you the clue because,
The Niger Delta meets up the Atlantic Ocean with love and care.
River Niger has been a lot of benefits to the West African People,
And out of the Niger Delta comes Oil to satisfy Nigerian people!
The Africans have benefited from this oil and the World as well,
And of the routes of the River Niger to settle many people as their homes;
For ths river is very important to us all in Africa and the world over.

Africa We Stand Up For You
When they ask you tell them you are from Africa.
Africa and nowhere else.
Africa has made you
Africa has made me;
It is time to make Africa.
So Mother Africa
Do not be in haste.
Your sons and daughters
Still live.
They live you rather than leave you.
Once perched we will fly.
Fly to you and not from you.
Your songs of praise
Will always be sung unrestrained.
You are Beautiful, Africa.
Africa you will never go on your knees.
We were imprisoned,
We were exported,
We were whipped in those days,
We went on our knees,
But it was not for a lack of hope
Or a plea of submission on our part.
Rather, our kneeling was to take
Courage from the brown earth,
Your Symbol-In-Common.
Like the Saviour among thieves on the cross,
Africa will be the Lighthouse to the world.
Diop may have died at thirty-three,
Left behind only twenty-two poems,
But Africa we say this to you:
More Diops will rise.
And even live to a Senghor.
Yes, Africa, do not be in haste.
Your children are still Alive.
And no death can ever kill Us.

Apart
A part of this world I open my eyes and breathe...
Apart of this world I wonder what they think of me on Facebook
A part of this world I laugh at how beautiful everyone is...
Apart of this world I check to see who likes my comments
A part of this world I live in the brilliant orgasm of now...
Apart of this world I lay down some anonymous hate as Guest42
A part of this world I sigh at the joke of separation
Apart of this world I struggle to connect to someone worth it
A part of this world I smile at every pretty girl...
Apart of this world I smile at the pretty girls
A part of this world I am very close, closer than comfort...
Apart of this world I feel so very far away and so alone

Don't Confuse The Issue At Hand
This 'thing' ain't whirling around in space 'cause you on it.
You are part of it.
'You' are not 'it'.
But...
Wait a minute.
Let me re-think this.
hmmm
Let's see.
IF you 'are' part of it...
Wouldn't that make you all of it as well?
Or part of the whole?
Since the whole is part of you?
'I've been trying to tell you...
This is 'my' world.
It's yours too, ain't it? '
Well...
YEAH!
'Then what are you talking about when you say,
'IT ain't all about me?
Then 'who' and 'what' is 'this' all about? '
Don't confuse the issue at hand.
You always think you know so much.
And want everything your way!
'Didn't we just agree,
That this is 'my' world? '
Well...
Not 'all' of it!
'Then what part of my world don't you exist in?
What percentage of it is yours? '
Let's just dropp this.
We're not getting anywhere.
'I beg to differ.
Now as I was saying...
I'll drive my folks place,
And then we'll grab a bite to eat! '

I see Africa
When i stand afar i see
nearer than ever
When i echo my fear
makes them bold
My race make me
speak in subdue, yet
i am proud to call
Africa my Africa
Eventhrough untied state
of Africa refuse to see
nearer than ever,
i still believe Africa is my
Africa no-matter what.
Oh great Marcus Garvey
my Africa brother, surely
Africa will remain Africa till the world dying days.

The Black Continent
Africa, Africa, Africa!
The Black Continent full of raw materials and talented people;
For the Blackman is capable of managing his own affairs.
Beautiful South Africa,
Beautiful North Africa,
Beautiful East Africa,
Beautiful West Africa,
And beautiful Central Africa! !
This Black Continent is full of natural resources.
Visit Africa to understand our ways,
For we have more to the world!
And like the muse of the animals in the forest,
But The Black Continent means a lot to all of us on this earth:
Africa, Africa, Africa! !

Delta Blues
From Mali to Memphis,
And of the odyssey of the West Africans in the name of slavery;
But today, a Blackman has made it to the top! !
Yes, the 44th U.S. President,
And like the Delta Blues with the petals of love.
Do not let your spirit down my friend!
But go for your dreams always by working towards them;
And from the sandy banks of the rivers of West Africa,
But the spirit of the slavery still lives on.
Delta Blues,
To be stoned to death of to be shot with arrows;
But slavery came in and took them away!
And like a premature birth to my people,
However, you will surely reach the heights if you surely believe.

Great Pioneer
Graham Russell)
It happened long ago
When I felt the need
For a life of my own
I dreamt of summer love
And moving high up north
But no one would go
So I walked up the hill and lay there
Imagining the day was near
I know I want to stay there
And be a great pioneer
I made a promise then
That I'd find a place
Where my world won't end
Give me a piece of land
That will be my life
That I will defend
If I work really hard
I will surely survive
I know my virtue is strong
No one could oppose a spirt
So raw to be a part of the state
To be known as a great pioneer
I keep the fires burning
To let you know I'm free
My heart will always be yearning
CHORUS
To be a part of the state
To be a part of the state
To be known as a great pioneer
And if it all should end
ANd I hear the call
From the great unknown
I'll need to go my way
Let me have my day
Let me be alone
I was dreaming here and lay there
Knowing that my time is here
I know I wanna stay there
And be a part of the state
And be a part of the state
And be known as a great pioneer

The Mask
One love and peace,
One care and hope,
I am from Benin in Nigeria!
But out of Egypt came my ancestors.
They settled in Nigeria out of love,
And the Assyrians know my identity as well;
And like Bronze, Sculptures and Terracotta.
The mask on my face is to tell you a story,
With Ivory, Slaves and Gold as part of the trade;
And with greetings from the White Volta and the Black Volta,
And like King Mansa Musa of Mali! !
But, the Portuguese came for Gold and Slaves on the West Coast of Africa.

You And This War
You are part of this war. You
pay taxes. You are not part of this
war. No one in charge cares what
you think. You are part of this
war. You go to work each day
and remain quiet on the subject.
You pave the path of least
resistance. You are not part of this
war. You watch images of it and
read words about it from a great
distance. You are part of this war.
You are one 200 millionths of this
nation. You are not part of this
war. You do not fight in it or
fight to stop it. You are
part of this war.

The Tuareg
A message of the Tuareg in the Sahara,
And of the heat of Africa that greets you;
But, you do have more stories for us to learn.
'Amen-Ra' and 'Hapi' to the Egyptians,
And of the copies made to the whole world!
But this message of the Tuareg is here to stay.
Greetings to the camel market in Cairo!
And of the sand's storm over the delta of the Nile;
But, let us love the salt water around us.
The salt of West Africa,
And of the caravans of camels on the Sahara;
But, i will keep on moving with the gladiators in my mind.

Little Part Of You
I dont want to take you prisoner
Or do it against your will
I wouldnt ever take you over
Only want a little part of you
Only want a little part of you
I would never leave you stranded
Alone on some point of view
Couldnt ever hold you under
Only want a little part of you
Only want a little part of you
I know that the world
All its diamonds and its pearls
Could never buy you
Could never even try to
Wouldnt ever bring you sadness
Leave you standing in the rain
Never thought you would be easy
Only want a little part of you
Only want a little part of you
I know that the world
All its diamonds and its pearls
Could never buy you
Could never even try to

Run Away
Remember I'm the one who didn't have a lot to say
I was trying to find the courage, but I let you walk away
And I can't forget your face, y'know it haunts me all the time
And it seems to me you're living in a dream
Wish we could run away, we could be alone together
Far away, leave the world behind
Runaway, runaway, what I want to say is
You're a part of me, let me be a part of you
I want to tell you what I'm thinking, but the words get in the way
When I'm sitting here alone I find the things I meant to say
If I wrote them in a letter, would you read between the lines
Would you understand how much I really care
Wish we could run away, we could be alone together
Far away, leave the world behind
Runaway, runaway, what I want to say is
You're a part of me, let me be a part of you
[I] I love you
[Need] I need you
[You] Don't want to live without you
If I'm backward counting forward, would you help me realize
All the answers to the questions I've been asking with my eyes
I could hand you all the cliches, but you've heard them all before
And I want to say I love you in my own way
And could we run away, we could be alone together
Far away, leave the world behind
Runaway, runaway, what I want to say is
You're a part of me, let me be a part of you
Runaway, runaway, we could be alone together
Far away, leave the world behind
Runaway, I love you, I need you
What I want to say is, I want you
You're a, I love you, part of me, I need you
Let me be a part of you

Im Living My Life
Part of my life is tatoo's, penetentry rules
When running yo mouth only seperates the men from the fools
Part of my life is bullets, guns, blood, sweat and tears
This is the part of my life that I've lived for years
Part of my life is dreams, wishes, hopes, happyness
Where I could care less about the world and its current happenings
Part of my life is lies, deciet, greed, envy, and hate
Which so many leaders of our world think is great
Part of my life is all the above
Cause everyday I see sadness and very little love
Part of my life has so much love to give
But I'm catching up with death fast, from the life that I live
Part of my life is wrong nor right
But I need no sympathy, cause I'm living my life.
