Being A Black Male....in 2012

..... Why as a black male I feel so underrated even from my own brothers.. Maybe it's because we call each other nigga because we are to ashamed and ignorant to comprehend that they were Once enslaved by the very word NIGGA.. My brother, far down your ancestry Your great great dear aunty watches over the ashamed.. and disgraced.. the very freedom she earned through all of her pain I promise you If she could she would lynch you by your own chain But she won't.. Hurt like stepping on a thumb tack Failed education because marijuana became your new colon Blacks dropping out of school to chase a street dream We all suffer trying to get whips and chains But I can bet your great aunty suffered from the same thing Don't be clouded by the smoke from the black Remember brother you black and the education you need that In slavery they were afraid to educate a black man Afraid of what vast secrets can be released I stand before you today Asking are we ignorant and enslaved as we were a 100 years ago Are we bound.. Chained from light like a caged dog on a Sunday night Why, why did we give up or dreams, Dreams of becoming strong educated and free Education was always the key Or maybe society advanced so far and made it seem like we were locked out But in reality we have become too weak to pick up the key But why Why are we so weak? You tell me, what time, what season and who allowed us colored people to follow knee deep in our own sorrows where we allowed our dreams to be strangled by the root of evil, Which made BLACK choose to play Russian roulette with their lives Instead of educating each other, and themselves...

Slaved Education

Why
as a black male I feel so underrated even from my own brothas
Maybe it's because we call each other nigga
because we are to ashamed and ignorant to comprehend that they were
Once enslaved by the very word NIGGA
My brotha,
far down your ancestry
Your great great dear aunty watches over the
ashamed.. and disgraced..
the very freedom she earned through all of her pain
I promise you If she could she would lynch you by your own chain
But she won't..
Hurt like stepping on a thumb tack
Failed education because marijuana became your new colon
Blacks dropping out of school to chase a street dream
We all suffer trying to get whips and chains
But I can bet your great aunty suffered from the same thing
Don't be clouded by the smoke from the black
Remember brother you black and the education you need that
In slavery they were afraid to educate a black man
Afraid of what vast secrets can be released
I stand before you today Asking
are we ignorant and enslaved as we were a 100 years ago
Are we bound..
Chained from light like a caged dog on a Sunday night
Why,
why did we give up or dreams,
Dreams of becoming strong educated and free
Education was always the key
Or maybe society advanced so far
and made it seem like we were locked out
But in reality we have become too weak to pick up the key
But why
Why are we so weak?
You tell me, what time, what season and who allowed us colored people to follow knee deep in our own sorrows where we allowed our dreams to be strangled by the root of evil,
Which made BLACK choose to play Russian roulette with their lives
Instead of educating each other, and themselves

Primer For Blacks

Blackness
is a title,
is a preoccupation,
is a commitment Blacks
are to comprehend—
and in which you are
to perceive your Glory.

The conscious shout
of all that is white is
“It’s Great to be white.”
The conscious shout
of the slack in Black is
'It's Great to be white.'
Thus all that is white
has white strength and yours.

The word Black
has geographic power,
pulls everybody in:
Blacks here—
Blacks there—
Blacks wherever they may be.
And remember, you Blacks, what they told you—
remember your Education:
“one Drop—one Drop
maketh a brand new Black.”
Oh mighty Drop.
______And because they have given us kindly
so many more of our people

Blackness
stretches over the land.
Blackness—
the Black of it,
the rust-red of it,
the milk and cream of it,
the tan and yellow-tan of it,
the deep-brown middle-brown high-brown of it,
the “olive” and ochre of it—
Blackness
marches on.

The huge, the pungent object of our prime out-ride
is to Comprehend,
to salute and to Love the fact that we are Black,
which is our “ultimate Reality,”
which is the lone ground
from which our meaningful metamorphosis,
from which our prosperous staccato,
group or individual, can rise.

Self-shriveled Blacks.
Begin with gaunt and marvelous concession:
YOU are our costume and our fundamental bone.

All of you—
you COLORED ones,
you NEGRO ones,
those of you who proudly cry
“I’m half INDian”—
those of you who proudly screech
“I’VE got the blood of George WASHington in MY veins”
ALL of you—
you proper Blacks,
you half-Blacks,
you wish-I-weren’t Blacks,
Niggeroes and Niggerenes.

You.

Black Man In America

Black Man In America for to long our chains held us so tight
beaten down as far as the dust chained to the night
Black Man In America can't you see
we free now at least physically
but freedom isn't free if we still enslaved mentally
Black Man In America stand up and let your voices be heard your families are calling you because they don't deserve to be deserted or mistreated
let us be stronger than they because the greatest retalation is providing a successful way
for your black babies and mine to have a brighter day
they are calling out to you heed their cry and respond favorably to them saying here am I
Black Man In America we must continue to wage this fight and let our hands be strong and our fingers do the fightin'
Black Man In America a success you must become because without success our freedom wasn't really won
Black Man In America stand up and be heard its imperative for you to provide the light for a brighter day that your children so richly deserve

Straight Up Nigga

Damn right Im a nigga
And I dont care what you are
Cause Im a capitaal n-i double-g-e-r
Black people might get mad
Cause they dont see
That theyre looked upon
As a nigga just like me
Im a nigga, not a colored man
Or a black, or a negro
Or an afrom american, Im all that
Yes I was born in america true
Does south central
Look like america to you?
Im a nigga, a straight up nigga
>from a hard school
Whatever you are
I dot care, that is you fool
Im loud and proud
Well endowedd with the big beef
Out on the corner
I hang out like a house thief
So you can call me dumb or crazy
Ignornt, stupid, inferior or lazy
Silly or foolish
But Im badder and bigger
And most of all
Im a straight up nigga
Im a nigga in america
And that much I flaunt
Cause when I see what I like
Yo I take what I want
Im not the only one
Thats why Im not bitter
Cause everybody is a nigga to a nigga!
America was tole from he indians
Show and prove, what was tht?
A straight up nigga move
A low down shame
Yo its straight insane
Yet they compalin
When a nigga snatch
Their gold chains
What is nigga suppose to do?
Wait around for a handout
From a nigga like you?
That why a low down nigga gets hyped
But Im not a nigga of that type
Im a steak and lobster eatin
Billionaire meet
Cash money makin, movin shakin
Corporate jet glidin
Limousine ridin
Writin hits, filthy rich
Straight up nigga!
Now Im a write this song
Though the radio wont play this
But I got freedom of speech
So Im a say it

The Color Blue

the color blue is known to do
something strange to you
this time when i say you it is truly the reader
not the one who i love
not the one pure like a dove
the color blue
seems strange in nature just like you
it stimulates dreams without asking anything in return
nor do most dreams it propagates burn
no the color blue is serene
nice and soft like a moisturizing cream
but there is another color
that is not proved by psychology to stimulate dreams
i call it the color black
though the dreams are nightmares they are grouped in the same sack
with dreams akin like brother though more like an evil twin
the color black seems to always win
by bringing out your nightmares and pain
and sometimes your feelings begin to wain
that gives way to apathy
which leads to your becoming a tapestry, a tapestry
of death for this gives way to being dead
because black is everywhere, in every night
anytime there is no light
black is in you and its in me, how is we aren't dead?
in the end the color black has now become like lead
like a poison true nature forgotten we as humans simply say
black symbolizes death for that is the only way
that we console ourselves

Education Celebration

(An 'Education Week' Rap)

Education, education;
There's nothing quite like education!
It gives you hope and lets you cope
And offers great remuneration.

Education, education;
The path to many a great vacation;
A fancy car and caviar;
A life of fun and relaxation.

Education, education;
Provides a firm and strong foundation
For better lives improved by drive,
By effort and by motivation.

Education, education;
Sing aloud in exultation!
And when you pass that final class
We'll shake your hand in admiration.

Education, education;
Requires a lot of perspiration.
You can bet - a lot of sweat,
And just a pinch of inspiration.

Education, education;
Let's all sing in jubilation!
For, those who strive and have the drive
May someday own a 'corporation'!

Cuz I'm Black? ? ?

Is it cuz I'm black that you think I'm poor
Is it cuz I'm black that we can't afford
A car, a house, and have a liittle more
Or does stereotypes take over and racism pour
into suburb neighborhoods that are scared of 'us'
Black people that is, where crime is a must
Nigger! Nigger! The #1 word
for white upper class to use as a term
To make us feel low and non educated
To make us feel weak, it so complicated
Nigger this, nigger that, the word is overrated
It was used in Africa, which equal segregation.
Separated us from the whites and so much to tell
That 75% of us is locked in jails
for doing pity stuff that will take our trails
of life we can have to just do right
Go to school Graduate, and get paid right.
Its not cuz I'm black, It's called nigger mentality
That causes us black people to fail so drastically.
Don't get me wrong black is beautiful
We need to work together. Come on....honestly.

Freedom is a Powerful Word

freedom is a powerful word
filled with glori and brightened eyes
freedom is a powerful word
where no black child is left behind
the despair of no hesitation
the depair of no education
freedom is a powerful word

freedom is a powerful word
where everyone gets a chance to be one
freedom is a powerful word
where a black man can raise his son
we got freedom
but we dont respect it

black boys droppin out of school
black girls gettin pregnant at early ages
these people fought for our rights
but all we do is abuse it

like i said freedom is a powerful word
are you sure we are free
why are we killing our own race
we are gettin involved in the wrong stuff
like gangs and selling drugs
smokin weed and makin d's
it aint right
freedom is a powerful word
if it is so powerful
dont abuse it

Dark and Black

Yes I am dark and black,

its none of your business,

don’t fill your heart with hatred,

it is my one and only destiny,

so don’t wanna be my enemy.

Yes I am dark and black,

it is my fate and race,

I’m here to run this pilgrim race,

I’m hot and real, not another fake,

so get used to my deep black face.

Yes I am dark and black,

That’s what I am, I love it so,

I’m not ashamed, don’t be confused,

It’s not for sale keep moving on,

I’m black and proud, all my days.

Yes I am dark and black,

call it whatever you want,

equate me with all your evil and demons,

but excuse me your personal pains and agony,

for darkness and blackness ain’t the same thing.

Yes I am dark and black,

before I was loaded in your slave boat,

and shipped to plantations far unknown,

and made to work and toil for free,

raped and abused, miseries untold.

Yes I am dark and black,

touch my hue and feel the smoothness,

embrace me and feel some gladness,

reject me at your own destruction,

respect me and be respected.

Yes I am dark and black,

forever I will be, don’t block my path

I’m more than this, so let me be,

no matter your segregation, I’m here to stay,

it’s not just a fact but it’s the plain truth.

Yes I am dark and black,

the unending ocean couldn’t change my blackness,

your strongest chain couldn’t break my color,

please blame your fathers and your mothers,

if my son now sit enthroned as your king.

Yes I am dark and black,

I was before your fathers arrived,

I was as I sailed the stormy waters,

I was as I waited my salvation,

I am and forever will be.

Yes I am dark and black,

it is my turn to rise and shine,

burn yourself in hell if you can’t stand it,

cry all you want, it won’t change the truth,

for the Most High has sealed it, there’s no repentance.

Yes I am dark and black,

and whom shall I fear?

why should I be dismayed?

and what shall I be afraid of?

yes I am dark and black,

and so shall it be

beyond this border even into eternity.

Education to all

Free and compulsory
Education through mother tongue

Right to education
Education to maintain
Peace and harmony
Education to keep
The world order
And discipline

Right to education
Education to earn
For livelihood
Education to provide
Food clothing and shelter
Without depending others

Dire Predictions

A syndicate, a order, in a heated debate.
While all the world watches and anticipates.
A subject so great it has caught every child, woman and mans eye.
Is it a disguise?
Is it really the way it seems?
A clouded sunrise.
The shadows of many demons.
Disgust is all we feel.
From our environment we steal.
A black killer whose a friend to all.
In his trap we fall.
From our unending desire and consumption he thrives.
From the common plastics to the cars we drive.
He lives.
Always holding our hands out saying give, give, give.
This day and age gluttony has become our worst sin.
And one day soon it will come to end.
not because of the good we proclaim.
but because of lack of a choice.
A forced redemption in waves.
A holocaust in which the humans shall be enslaved.
We don't heed the warning never will.
That's part of our current lives thrill.
Slowly running a knife across our wrist in a metaphor so black and white that we should see the light.
But again I fret, the words will not be understood, not just yet.

Black & White People

One more day down
Everybody has those days
Where one soft sweet song's
Just enough to clear my head
Fall on real life
Is anybody left there sane?
If we slide on over and accept fate
Then it's bound to be a powerful thing
If it's just that you're weak
Can we talk about it
It's gettin' so damn creepy
Just nursing this ghost of chance
The fiction, the romance
And the Technicolor dreams
Of black and white people
One boy head strong
Thinks that living here's just plain
He's pushed down so hard
You can hear him start to sink
And it's one last round of petty conversation
You hold on boy 'cuz
You won't go down like this?
Just roll over
Lay down till it's more than you can take
If it's just that you're weak
Can we talk about it
It's gettin' so damn creepy
Just nursing this ghost of chance
The fiction, the romance
And the Technicolor dreams
Of black and white people
So one more day down
And everybody's changin'
One soft sweet sound
Is just enough to clear my head
If it's just that you're weak

My Ancestors Still Speaks

Hear the Negros from my ancestors to the generation of young Blacks
Americans proudly say: Our black is united together around the world,
different ethnic backgrounds together we are one.

Our black stands strong through the evil of racism and diversity

Our black is bold

Our black is free

Our black lives on

My ancestors still speaks.

I Need Not Be Ashamed

I really thinks it disturbs some people when correction are made.
Being ashamed of perfection that yet does not take.
A lesson to learn.
For those so concerned.
As if one of lower education should hide in a corner.
Never to come out.
Never to be seen.
I've only ever finished the 10th grade.
Though I got a piece of paper that says I passed the High School equivalent.
No college degree.
Just a love for an art.
A passion is where I start.
No I don't think I'm smart.
An ego just gets in the way.
Swallowing ones pride.
I'm of the ignorant and something I will just not deny.
So I stand before you still with my head held high.
And try to defy the rules abound.
The rules that surround.
Satisfaction without a sound.

Prayer[Skit]

I come to you hungry and tired
You give food and let me sleep
I come to you weak
You give strength and thats deep
You called me a sheep
And leed me to green pastures
Only asking that I keep the focus
Between the chaptures
You give me the word and only acts I interpet
And give me the eyes so I can recognize the serpent
You know I aint perfect, but youll like me to try
And just like the devil who wants me to lie
Till I die
Lord why is it that, that I go through so much pain
All I saw was black and all I felt was rain
I come to you because its you that knows
To show me that everything is black
Because me eyes were closed
You give me the light and let me bask in your glory
So it was only right that when you ask for this story
I put together to do all dogs some good
All dogs being all the brothers and sisters in the hood
Plenty of times you sent help my way ? but I hit?
I remember once you held me close but I slip
There was something that I just had to see
That you wanted me to see so I can be what you wanted me to be
And I think I am seeing it but I dont feel the same
Matter of fact I know I have seen it I can feel the change
And its strange almost got me beating down your door
But I have never known love like this before
Its a wonderful feeling to get away from the pain
And up under the ceiling I get away from the rain
And the strain that I feel when Im here is gone
I know real so I wipe away the tears son
And I almost lost faith in you when you took my man monty
Pass over chase a brother down
And I fear that what I saying wont be heard until Im gone
But its all good, cause I didnt expect to live long
So if it takes for me to suffer for me brother to see the light
Give me pain till I die but please lord treat him right

A Black Rose

A black rose can stop the beat of ones heart…
A black rose brings the scent of death as it tears love apart…
A black rose makes nightmares reality…
A black rose fills my life with uncertainty…
A black rose is forgotten hopes and dreams…
A black rose is a broken girl laying in tears and painful screams…
A black rose is the pain of a shattered life…
A black rose is lost love in my hopeless life…
A black rose is the memories that haunt my restless soul…
A black rose took everything from me that once made me whole…
Including…you…

Words Of Wisdom

Killing us one by one
In one way or another
American will find a way to eliminate the problem
One by one
The problem is
The troubles in the black youth of the ghettos
And one by one
We are being wiped off the face of this earth
At an extremly alarming rate
And even more alarming is the fact
That we are not fighting back
Brothers, sistas, niggas
When I say niggas it is not the nigga we are grown to fear
It is not the nigga we say as if it has no meaning
But to me
It means never ignorant getting goals acomplishes, nigga
Niggas what are we going to do
Walk blind into a line or fight
Fight and die if we must like niggas
This is for the masses the lower classes
The ones you left out, jobs were givin, better livin
But we were kept out
Made to feel inferior, but were the superior
Break the chains in out brains that made us fear yah
Pledge a legiance to a flag that neglects us
Honour a man that who refuses to respect us
Emmancipation, proclamation, please!
Nigga just said that to save the nation
These are lies that we all accepted
Say no to drugs but the governments keep it
Running through our community, killing the unity
The war on drugs is a war on you and me
And yet they say this is the home of the free
But if you ask me its all about hyprocracy
The constitution, yo, it dont apply to me
Lady liberty still the bitch lied to me
Steady strong nobodys gonna like what I pumpin
But its wrong to keeping someone from learning something
So get up, its time to start nation building
Im fed up, we gotta start teaching childern
That they can be all that they wanna to be
Theres much more to life than just poverty
This is defaintly ahhh words of wisdom
Amerika, amerika, amerikkka
I charge you with the crime of rape, murder, and assault
For suppressing and punishing my people
I charge you with robery for robbing me of my history
I charge you with false imprisonment for keeping me
Trapped in the projects
And the jury finds you guilty on all accounts
And you are to serve the consequences of your evil schemes
Prosecutor do you have any more evidience
Words of wisdom
They shine upon the strength of an nation
Conquer the enemy on with education
Protect thy self, reach with what you wanna do
Know thy self, teach what we been through
On with the knowledge of the place, then
No one will ever oppress this race again
No malcolm x in my history text
Why is that?
Cause he tried to educate and liberate all blacks
Why is martin luther king in my book each week?
He told blacks, if they get smacked, turn the other cheek
I dont get it, so many questions went through my mind
I get sweated, they act as if asking questions is a crime
But forget it, one day Im gonna prove them wrong
Now every brother had to smother on the welfare line
The american dream, though it seems it attainable
Theyre pulling your sleave, dont believe
Cause it will strangle yah
Pulling the life of your brain, I cant explain
Beg as you can obtain from which you came
Swear that your mother is living in equality
Forgeting your brother thats living her apology
Thought they had us beat when they took our kids
But the battle aint over till the black man sings
Words of wisdom
But the battle aint over till the black man sings
Words of wisdom
Nightmare thats what I am
Americas nightmare
I am what you made me
The hate and evil that you gave me
I shine of a reminder of what you have done to my people
For four hundred plus years
You should be scared
You should be running
You should be trying to silence me
Ha ha
But you can not escape fate
Well it is my turn to come
Just as you rose you shall fall
By my hands
Amerika, you reap what you sow
2pacalypse americas nightmare
Ice cube and da lench mob americas nightmare
Above the law americas nightmare
Paris americas nightmare
Public enemy americas nightmare
Krs-one americas nightmare
Mutulu shakur americas nightmare
Geronimo pratt americas nightmare
Assada shakur americas nightmare
