At the gathering of the flowers

At the gathering of the flowers
Someone waits with the rising sun
There in the wee small hours
That is where love has begun

And there with the angels above
At the gathering of the flowers
To her I do profess my love
With her I will spend all my remaining hours

Where love empowers
Is where I will meet my love
At the gathering of the flowers
With desires undreamt of

Winter winds howl about my face
But the cold shall forever cower
From your warm embrace
At the gathering of the flowers

Flowers

(orbison/dees)
When I was a boy I ran among the flowers
Looking left and right at the bright array
I played through the spring, whiled away the hours
Lingered with the flowers every day
Flowers, pretty flowers, flowers, lifes bouquet
Flowers, pretty flowers, flowers, along the way
Flowers, pretty flowers, flowers, lifes bouquet
Flowers, pretty flowers, flowers, along the way
When the summer ends and the storms of life are over
When the winter comes and the petals fall away
They may write it on my stone, he was just a roller
But he stopped to pick some flowers along the way
Flowers, pretty flowers, flowers, lifes bouquet
Flowers, picked some flowers, along the way

The Gathering

The Gathering
The time has come once again for the gathering. We come to together to laugh and hug filling the universe with our family’s love. At the gathering we will also reminisce about all the love ones we miss. Some of whom just could not make it, and the others who can now only be with us in spirit. Now with some of the memories we will be sadden but we must not let our spirits be dampen. Because this the time for love, hugs and laughing; we are family and this is The Gathering.

I Dedicate the poem to The Smith Family Reunion 2009
May not be there physically this year but my voice will always be with you.

Going To Africa

The gathering of the spirits!
The gathering of the minds,
The gathering of the people,
The gathering of the race;
But, i am free once again.

Best of love,
Best of the best!
White oak and water,
Black oak and sugar,
Going to Africa! !

Of the Balck Ark,
Of the White Ark,
Natural mystic,
Revelation! !
Of light and darkness,
In the city.

Keep on learning,
Keep on teaching,
Keep on writing,
Keep on preaching!
And, let the system teach us all.

The Village

When a new life turns towards you
And the night becomes a bay
We shall remain forever
Everyone who meets his way
Oh, our love is like the flowers
The rain and the sea and the hours
Oh, our love is like the flowers
The rain and the sea and the hours
When the rain falls to the sea
Theyll be waiting for you and for me
And the sky reflects our image
Trying to sleep right through our lives
Oh, our love is like the earth
The sun and the trees and the birth
Oh, our love is like the earth
The sun and the trees and the birth
I am still here two days later
Same place, same time
And Im stuck here two years too long
Same place, the wrong time
Oh, our love is like the flowers
The rain and the sea and the hours
Oh, our love is like the flowers
The sun and the sea and the hours
Their love died three years ago
Spoken words I cannot show

Stones from Heaven...

Joy died.

The Spinster sends the
text Message which the Flirt reads aloud
in the Gathering of the Living. It says:

Dear Flirt,
I cannot answer all of your messages.
I am grieving over the death of Joy.
I refrained using words. But this i must tell you
I am in grief, I cry all day,
and sometimes I think that when Joy died earlier
than expected, I think, she must be lucky,
as the Living Them brought the Niche,
decked with assorted flowers, and
garnished with evening prayers.
I wish I had the same death.

I heard this in the Gathering of The Living,
and I joked that I am praying for Spinster's early death
and I will be bringing flowers and some followers
to recite the Usual Prayers.

Flirt says, If the Spinster hears this
There will be another ten months of Non-Speaking Terms.

Well, I admit, there is more plasticity always going on
in the Gathering of the Living.
Meanwhile, to lighten the Moments of Grief
the Bad Guys are playing
Cards, drink their rum, smoke their cigars,
and you say it correctly

They always find Joy in polluting this
Innocent World
Deprive it with Fresh Air and claim that they are
are the proper residents of the
Gathering of the Living.

The Last Envoy

THIS wind, that through the silent woodland blows,
O'er rippling corn and dreaming pastures goes
Straight to the garden where the heart of spring
Faints in the heart of summer's earliest rose.

Dimpling the meadow's grassy green and grey,
By furze that yellows all the common way,
Gathering the gladness of the flowering broom,
And too persistent fragrance of the may--

Gathering whatever is of sweet and dear,
The wandering wind has passed away from here,
Has passed to where within your garden waits
The concentrated sweetness of the year.

And in your leafed enclosure as you stood,
Training your flowers to new beatitude--
Ah! did you guess the wind that kissed your hair
Had kissed my forehead in this solitude--

Had kissed my lips, and gathered there the heat
It breathed upon your mouth, my only sweet--
Had gathered from my eyes the tender thought
That drooped your eyes, and stirred your pulses' beat?

You only thought the sun's caress too warm
That lay upon your bosom and your arm;
You did not guess the wind had brought from me
The unacknowledged fancy's fire and charm--

You only said, 'Too strong these sunlit skies,
More dear the moments when the daylight dies!'
And then you dreamed of meetings by your gate
In sanctity of sunset and moonrise.

To-night, when he shall come and meet you there,
To kiss your lips and hands and eyes and hair,
To light with love and hope youth's waiting shrine--
Think of my love, and my assured despair!

To-night the wind will rob the languid flowers
Of secret scents kept close through daylit hours;
It will blow coolly over dewy lawns,
Where the laburnums fall in silent showers.

I, too, shall learn a secret then--shall wrest
Life's hidden things from out her languorous breast,
Shall learn the way that leads away from life
Into the land where nothing lives but rest.

You will not know that the cold air you prize,
After the stormy sweetness of his sighs,
Is cold from blowing through a moonlit wood
Over the hollow where a dead man lies!

Love So Pure it Lastes all Season

Love oh love will thou wait for me
will thou wait in the spring's flowers

Love oh love will thou wait for me
will thou wait in the summer's sun

Love oh love will thou wait for me
will thou wait in the fall's breeze

Love oh love will thou wait for me
will thou wait for me in the winter's chill

Love oh love if thy waits for me in the spring, we shall run among the spring flowers and smell its morning dew

Love oh love if thy waits for me in the summer, we shall vask in its beautiful sunrays and splash in its cooling waters

Love oh love if thy waits for me in the fall, we shall play in its fallen leaves and sit beside the naked trees

Love oh love if thy waits for me in the winter, we shall play in its chilling snow and I shall build for you a wonderful snowman

Love oh love your waiting willth not been in vain for together we shall be someday

To you oh love I say may our love last as long as the seasons

In That Hour of Flowers

We were once spring lovers
Walking through lush green fields
Gathering flowers to place
In your sunlight-blonde hair.
We kissed beneath
The first budding maple trees
And felt such a rush
Of breathtaking love and lust
That we thought
We were volcanoes
That would ceaselessly erupt
Painting even a starless night
With a yellow golden glow,
But love is false and untrue,
You can’t trust marriages in June,
They never survive the sepia-tint
Of autumn leaves and truth,
You can only magically touch someone
For a fleeting moment
And then let them go
To find another dream,
But I know what you meant to me
In that hour of flowers.

A Storm Is Gathering

The calm before the break
A building electricity in the air

The howling wind is restless
Like a predator pacing a cage

Barely contained
It waits

Biding its time before
It finally strikes

The clouds are
Gathering 'round

Encircling with
An iron grip

The smell of rain
Permeates everything

A storm is gathering

Love Lives Beyond the Tomb

Love lives beyond
The tomb, the earth, which fades like dew-
I love the fond,
The faithful, and the true.
Love lies in sleep,
The happiness of healthy dreams,
Eve's dews may weep,
But love delightful seems.
'Tis seen in flowers,
And in the even's pearly dew
On earth's green hours,
And in the heaven's eternal blue.

'Tis heard in spring
When light and sunbeams, warm and kind,
On angels wing
Bring love and music to the wind.
And where is voice
So young, so beautiful, so sweet
As nature's choice,
Where spring and lovers meet?
Love lies beyond
The tomb, the earth, the flowers, and dew.
I love the fond,
The faithful, young, and true.

Flowers - Giving It All Away B-side

Renegades and shifting shades
And the lights in your face
And you friends talk lying
But some of them got flowers in their room
When its on and youre falling on every floor
That youre hoping to score
And youre every night ? ? ?
But some of them got flowers in their room
But some of them got flowers in their room
But some of them got flowers in their room
Hear the word that the man on the stairs
Knows your every affair and is holding your hand
And he says some of them got flowers in their room
And he screams in a face
But the smile on the face is cool and its cold
And it reads vacated
And some of them got flowers in their room
And some of them got flowers in their room
And some of them got flowers in their room
And I take someone home and I cant be alone
And theres faces to please and I walk on the knees
Oh you see, I got no flowers in my room
And I laugh with my mouth and I laugh with you
But the joke was a joke that I never really knew
Some of them got flowers in their room
Some of them got flowers in their room
Some of them got flowers in their room

Cut Flowers

If you love me - please never bring me cut flowers
Because I know that they will die soon after a few hours
I would feel that whatever the flowers represent
Would be equal to the time we have left to spend

Straight stems, soft petals and a lush green leaf
The hours and minutes are numbered - you better believe
Picking a flower is like a sure sentence to death
Like taking a fish out of water watching his last breath

Cut down their life brutally shortened with a sharp knife
All hope diminished knowing that they will not survive
Sure the flowers may get nourishment from the water in the vase
But their life is over as they know it in just a few days

So do not buy any cut flowers for me pretty please
I rather watch them outside visited by many bees
It is so beautiful to see them sway softly outside
And so sad to see them slowly die and lose their pride

Blueprint For Love

Gathering flowers
That grow in sidewalk cracks,
I romantically dream of you.

Send me flower petals
Through the mail.
I’ll place them in a pouch
And keep them close to my heart.

You have lived
With daisies and children,
Please share with me
Your blueprint for love.

When The First Heat Comes

When the first heat comes, the winter starts to disappear
weeds and flowers appear everywhere,
fruit trees are flowering,
when the first signs of spring appears,
with the sun flowering in crimson

you are astounded by the many colours
of flowers dazzling glorious in sunshine,
birds sing before the sun rises,
when the first heat comes,

the last stripped branches has disappeared,
the sky becomes a cobalt blue curtain,
you are astounded
by the insects and birds that are gathering in joy,
are caught in the scent of jasmine,
when the first heat comes.

He Brings Me Flowers

He brings me flowers
for no special reason.
He brings me flowers
for each new season.
Pointsettias in winter,
a bright rosy red
to comfort me from words left unsaid.
Violets in springtime
that he picks for me,
reminders of how we used to be.
Roses in summer
with scent so sweet,
a memory of when we first did meet.
Mums in autumn
as yellow as the sun
to shine for me
like we've just begun.
I treasure these flowers
of each new season
because I know
that his love is the reason.

Travel Flowers

When you travel ‘cross the country
You see along the roadways
Bright and cheerful flowers especially
In the warm spring and summer days

I love the beautiful sunflowers
Bold yellow blooms you see
Nodding in the gentle winds
Seem to say “hello” to me

White flowers ‘long side a trail
Roots go deep in red dirt
Stand out just beautifully
As they crop up in little spurts

Old barns off in the distance
In the midst of a field of dry grass
Are dotted with many flowers
Oh, I enjoy them when I pass

When spring time sets in and we have
Warm and gentle spring showers
I love to start my trips to see
Delightful travel flowers!

I'll Love You Even If You Dont!

I love the flowers
I love the trees
I love the rivers
I love the bees.

I love oranges
I love dew
I love seasons
I love hues

I love them all
But they dont love me,
But i'll continue loving 'em
As long as i be

The same way i do
Deeply love you
Its not needed you love me
As much as i do

I'll keep loving you
Though you'll love me never
Just like the seasons
N flowers, forever

To Mommio

When I was a child, you showed me a meadow of flowers.
You told me their names and we stayed there for hours.
Buttercups glistened as they drank the sun’s rays
Amongst bluebells that glowed in their majestic ways.

I played in the meadow, but loved holding your hand.
You taught me about life and helped me understand
That love, like these flowers, though silent, can voice
A splendiferous message when it’s my choice,
To express love with actions like forgive and forget;
To greet all with a smile and be glad that we’ve met;
To lead a colorful, bountiful life and have fun,
Praising the heavens as do flowers the sun.

This selfless love that you’ve forever shown me
Has opened my eyes so that I’ll always see
The softness that buttercups and bluebells display
With their colors and scents that can lighten life’s way.
Thank you, dearest mother, for your hand from the start.
Though flowers will fade, your love lives deep in my heart.
