After Reading An Epic Fantasy

Quite suddenly, full blown,
out of the chubby cheeks of an infant wind,
a leaf landed on a mud-puddle,
like a strange, crude vessel launched
on a fathomless cafe au lait sea.
It tacked eastward for seven ticks of time
then lost its course in a birthday candle blow.

Later, by the sun-shrunken mud-puddle
that had beached the curled brown leaf,
an ant swam a minuscule cove.
But it was a gigantic monster,
and I saw the horrific peril of yet another episode
in the epic from which I'd been excluded,
too huge to be viewed
even as a comprehensible god.

A Lonely Fallen Leaf

One fine morning
In the season of fall
The leaf pick up made its early round
And the trash was just picked
Sun was shining
The sky was blue
And the wind blew in occasional spurts…
The empty trash bin lay on its side
Rocking and rocking with every blow of the wind.

A lonely dry leaf flew by and landed on the ground
Inching forward and backward as the wind blew,
And the empty trash bin kept on rocking.

The world seemed to be in a dynamic equilibrium
With motion of all its elements synchronized.

I watched with curiosity
If the lonely leaf would be trapped in the bin
And make its way to the landfill mound!

With a final gust of wind
The leaf flew past the bin and away
The wind stopped and the bin lay still
And the leaf, I hope, will find a safe place and degrade
And contribute its share to the ecological parade.

The Brown Leaf Along The Road Near The River

it a brown leaf.
it falls from a tall tree
and slowly it stops
at the bottom of the
road in Bankerohan...

it is a sunny day
for a week and the brown leaf
stays there
for there is no wind...

a beautiful maiden
picks it up one day... so crisp...

it crumples in her very own
hand...

Lonely Leaf

Lonely leaf
trembles
at the feeble moment

It's on the verge of falling
It's about to merge with limitless nature!

Air is guest to leaf once
now will become constant companion

Bond with tree
soon will be abandoned

The moment came
parting is always pain
fighting against time is invain
finally tree says farewell to the leaf

Now leaf realises boundless 'freedom'
It's floating like free bird
It is 'gone with the wind'

Leaf lost it's green colour
wearing pale colour
Colour hardly matters!
Leaf sings song of freedom

Bond with tree is bound
Feeling freedom is ecstasy abound

Looking Down At My Reflection

Looking down at my reflection
In the puddle at my feet
Things don't seem so real down there
Or maybe I don't see
I see no satrvation
I don't see any pain
I see myself not helping
Just a lonner in the rain
Looking down at my reflection
In the puddle in the ground
Things are getting clearer now
I can see a thunder cloud
I see gross injustice
I see evil men
I see myself repeating
The same old words again
Looking down at my reflection
In the puddle lying there
Now I decide to change my mind
And show the world I care
I care about my fellow man
Being taken for a ride
I care that things start changing
But there's no one on my side

Like a leaf in the wind

Her soul flutters like a leaf in the wind

Clinging on to tree of life

With nothing more than hope

Devoid of pretense

Shorn of desires

Tossed about, at the whim of a gathering storm

Dark cold has slowed the sap

But deep inside, life fights to surge through

Longing for the next sunny day

When the sap will ease through fluid pathways

Until then, her soul flutters like a leaf in the wind

On a high branch she clings alone

While the other leaves huddle

Warm in their numbers

Sheltered in low branches

Wondering how she has lasted so long

While her soul flutters like a leaf in the wind

When the storm blows harder,

She sometimes feels close to giving up

And sinking quietly to the ground below

Returning to dust, from where she arose

But something in her refuses to let go

While her soul flutters like a leaf in the wind

So come wind, come storm,

Blow as you might

She will cling on to the tree of life

This lone leaf will fight.

till I Die

Im a cork on the ocean
Floating over the raging sea
How deep is the ocean
How deep is the ocean
I lost my way
Hey hey hey
Im a rock in a landslide
Rollin over the mountainside
How deep is the valley
How deep is the valley
It kills my soul
Hey hey hey
Im a leaf on a windy day
Pretty soon Ill be blown away
How long will the wind blow
How long will the wind blow
til I die...
And all these things Ill be
Until I die...

The Monster Inside Me

vs.1 When I walk down through Alligator Alley,
I really don't know what to do with the
Big, gigantic dragons that blow fire out their mouth,
And everyday, it seems as if they're aimin' it at me.
(chorus)
That's when the monster inside of me comes out,
That's when I jump right back and make 'em scream and shout.
All the wild animals come out to join in,
Man, you gotta believe within
The monster inside me!
vs.2 When I'm with all the wicked creatures in this world,
Don't wanna p-s me off or mess with me.
The huge and freaky madness of them withhold,
And every night, it seems as if they never leave me be.
(chorus)
(solo)
Bridge: Now, when the time comes,
You can tag along.
But for the time being, it's too dangerous,
I gotta go solo!
(chorus) x 2
Yeah, there's a monster
Inside me! !

SUICIDE is not a WANT but a NEED

Suicide is what I want
Suicide is what I need
To live without these feelings
growing within me.

You said I cut for attention
You were right on some level.
In the beginning that is what it was for
Attention.
But even though you found out
you left me alone without care or doubt
you thought that after seeing a counsler
I would be just fine
but I want what is supposed to be mine
the attention of others
and no lonliness for thee
its what I want
not these feelings within me.

Pain and suffering
is what I feel now
Pain and suffering
there is no hope now.

If you wished to help me
give up your hope
for now I am
eternally broke.

The puddle is bigger
The puddle is black
The puddle is swelling
and cannot come back.
My blood rushes forth
in a river of red
till it congrigates
and Im dead.

The leaf in the wind

The leaf in the wind
Missed the tree
The tree it was in
That made it be

It fell to the porch
A child held it
And gave it a stroke
Then gently left it

The wind came again
And took it to the sky
Then the sky rained
And it fell to lie

The things on the ground
Kept pushing it away
The wind had an angry sound
It wanted it in its way

So the wind blew
And picked up the leaf
And held it through
Earth’s grief and relief

No tree would claim
The young leaf left
Touched by time
Time itself had left

Fall to Earth

The stubborn little Maple leaf

held on when all its fellows fled.

They carpeting the ground beneath

a vast lushscape of gold and red.

Leaf held on through wind and rain,

the last survivor of its race.

Leaf held on past Turkey day

maintaining there its pride of place.

Then Leaf grew lonely, I suppose-

Like the summer's final rose.

Leaf envied then the flakes of snow

Who fluttered past to their repose.

Then, just as winter came to call,

Leaf felt a tug and then a snap.

Flying, tumbling on the winds

Fall to Earth. Fade to black.

Limbo Leaf

Mr.Leaf, Lays still on the
Misty Soil has
A story to narrate
A song to sing
A poem to recite
Of the plants, of the trees
Of the herbs and
Of the shrubs...
Mr.Leaf began...
Past went apart; Leaving me alone
Present presented tears; For me to wipe out
Future away from nature; To turn me to a corpse
Tear droplets sat on leaf
Which appeared alike dewdrops
The half dead leaf sheds tears
Yes! A pinch of life
Stays awake
In this pale & yellow leaf
Striving to say more
Mr.Leaf realised: -
Time to leave the plant
Time to accompany the land
Time to dissolve in the soil
It flew away
With the rythm of the wind
Dancing & dazzling
To the blacky-rocky land
There it lies cold & still
Waiting to be vanished
Down the soil pores.

The Leaf And The Tree And The Roots

if i had to write it again
then i had to, as i must

let you fully understand
the true nature of a vine

the way the leaf swerves
with the wind to give itself

to a fateful fall, the one that
completes its existence as

a leaf to a tree, a part of
a whole, the way it must

settle on the ground and
be with the worms and rot

and fulfills the cycle of its
short existence, and by then

it tells the roots, i am a leaf
i am back and you must now

eat everything in me so i can
be with the bark again so i

can be a leaf again to a tree
that holds me back

and then for another time
lets me fall again.

Baby Its Your Birthday Song

Happy birthday baby, I want to see that big beautiful smile upon your face, When you blow out the candle and I cut your birthday cake-
Happy birthday baby, I'm just wishing you a happy birthday with this happy
birthday song of mine,
Baby its your birthday, and I'm just wishing that you'll have a real good time-
Happy birthday baby, its your birthday that we're celebrating today,
its your birthday baby, its not just another day-

A Mumble....

how i wish to be just everything
a tree full of leaves where some stars hang out tonight
or just fireflies if there be no stars
that will suffice or if there are no fireflies at all
perhaps a candlelight
a lonely candle put upon one of its roots
or if there be none at all
no tree or leaf or ground
or worm
i still just wish that i be everything in that nothing
a space
an echo a dust a wind
i just want to dissipate in everything that comes my way
a memory of you in a minute
or just a crumpled paper
a dew that dries up in air
a mark on the leaf
a scratch of the stone
a left over moss
i just want to have an image of myself
something to think about
for the meantime that you are not here
i simply want to explode
scatter
till no one finds me here

A Leaf

I, like a leaf I breath,
I absorber the sun light, into me,
then bring into the tree,
The root is it's heart,
soaking, the water with in,
of the tree where,
the branch I live upon,
the wind wafts as the sun sets,
I will die brown no longer green,
in this leaf is me.

Orange Leaf

Orange leaf passing by
The air is stiff
And cold
Orange leaf passing by
Flying over the snow

Orange leaf passing by
Riding over the snow.
Past the oak tree
The old house is silent

Orange leaf
Fly with the wind
And snow
Fly past the frozen lake
Fish sleeping beneath
Its crystal surface

Orange leaf
fly to the sea
And wait
To be picked up
And carried off

Orange leaf passing by
The air is stiff
And cold
Orange leaf passing by
Flying over the snow

The 43 Candles

The 43 candles before you,
aren't just to show how much you've grown.
Each candle includes how you feel,
about expriences that aren't made known.

May each candle you blow on your cake,
brings you to new adventures and memories.
And may each happy moment you make,
be appreciated like beautiful melodies.

Happy birthday to you,
happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday Margaret,
happy birthday to you!
