Acrostics
ACROSTIC
SNOW
Silence pervades the day
Nights become longer,
Old memories cover the way
Wonder what to ponder!
RAIN
Reasons take a back –seat,
Answers come forth quick;
Invades the mind’s slot-
Never know what to pick.
SPRING
Sensuous smell of flowers
Powers the mind’s eye;
Regain all lost glories
In poems to beautify-
Nature’s Garden of Eden,
God’s blessing in universe.

CANVASS-3(Azure) -revised
CANVASS—3(azure) -revised
(Dedicated to Madam Marie Shine a great soul and Irish poet)
my sky is azure today
like the London sky
over the Thames
like the Calcutta sky
in the winter evening
with smog
like the Delhi sky
overcast with fog
in the early hours of the day
still the sun removes
the veil from her face
a gloom like an Albatross
hangs
over my shoulder
behind the window-grills
I feel as if a jail-bird
who will remove this guilt
from my mind
since you have left
with an unspoken word
with the rise of sun
the sky gets clear of fogs
the smog
gets clear by rains
will the guilt be
washed away with tears?
unless you forgive me
forever...

CANVASS—1
I like red colour always
Like ten horses who drags
The chariot of sun
Your fingertips enameled
With red nail-polish
The under-water plants
With blackish red leaves- akin to blood
You spread this blood everyday
On the dry earth
In the name of religion
In disguise of revolt
Sometimes thru air-attacks
Or the marching of armies with bullets
But how valuable is this red
Without a dropp of which
The life becomes a white canvass

Fate Accompli
Fate Accompli
the old man of seventy five
next to my bed
is trying to solve the unsolved ones
in his un-decipherable murmurs
he seems to be of high stature
in his hey days
the wife and son left him alone
for medical care
he looks for the control key
dangled for so many years
longed for sympathy compassion
he solicited their assistance
to unmask the unsolved mysteries
but with no avail
will it be the fate of all of us
can't go back to my desired time and place
to sort out problems created by us
no second chance to amend our misdeeds
no return of sympathy from them
for whom we spent our youth and thereafter

Cyclical
CYCLICAL
life blooms
so blooms flowers
fragrance spreads
by wind
wind creates ripples
on rivers and seas
howling seas on beaches
murmurs of the river
brings people around
dwelling spreads
far and near
man’s greed’s so high
want to reach the sky
cracks hole in ozone-layers
that changes weather
the thought of doomsday
all around brings sigh
when reason wins over greed
man’ll go for your lotus feet
trees will grow forest spread
rivers flowers birds sing to greet
everlasting praise of Nature
life blooms
so blooms flowers
fragrance spreads
by wind
wind brings ripples
on rivers on seas
peace prevails all over

Memories Of Lost Youth
When I was a young boy many decades ago
I thought babies like flowers in the gardens did grow
That's what I was told and what I did believe
Children have their innocence and are not hard to deceive.
I yearn for the innocence that I had then
Something that I lost in the World of men
Lost innocence we cannot hope to regain
Though fond memories of childhood we always retain.
When I was a young boy with joy I recall
The great tits young in the dark cavity in the stone wall
I did hear them chirp though them I could not see
The mysteries of Nature a wonder to me.
The winter was cold with frost wind rain and snow
And the river bank high in the old fields did flow
But Spring brought her birdsong her wildflowers and green
And Nature's great beauty for all to be seen.
My innocence died like the flowers of the Spring
But memories of lost youth a beautiful thing
The passing of time has left me looking gray
And a different World I live in today.

It is Spring Time
It is Spring Time
It is spring time.
I can smell it in the air.
I can smell the flowers.
I can smell the grass.
I can touch the grass.
I can touch and taste the vegetable growing in the garden.
The weather is changing.
The weather is warming up.
The trees are blossoming.
The flowers are blossoming.
It is spring time.
Easter has passed.
Beltane has passed.
Spring and May is here.
This is the time to tend to your garden and planted some flowers.
Some people pray to God to protect their garden.
Some people pray to Mother Nature for protect.
I do both and I thank God for this planet.
It is Spring Time.
The animals and bugs come out to play.
The frogs jump around the pond.
The wildflower comes out.
The sky is clean and blue.
The sun is shining.
The horses are running free.
The sunflowers are growing.
When seasons the earth also changes it is a beautiful way.
Nature is every where.
It is spring time.
There is rain and storm.
The trees have leaves and it arms.
The trees are ancient.
An apple falls down from the trees.
This is what thinks spring time is for me.
Spring time is beautiful.
Spring time is when nature is beautiful.
It is spring time.
Spring time is here.
The rabbits come out, and hop round.
The bees are collection honey for us.
The tulips are blossoming.
The roses are blossoming, and looking so beautiful.
The lavender is purple and bright.
Spring time is a time to celebrate.
Spring time is a time to clean our environment.
It is spring time.
Spring time is a time when rain falls.
Spring time is the time when the seasons changes.
Spring time is when the plants grow.
Spring time is my favorite season.
Spring time is the time to be happy.
It is spring time.

Gratis Et Amore
for the poems that i have written
and which you read
by heart, i bless you with a prayer for luck
for another year
for the poems which i have not written yet,
i wish you a longer life, so you may read them
when they become finally written
for the poems i have in mind and which i will not write
i wish you patience i wish you some prayers
may these poems realize their worth
may they decide to become truths
with you i pray that God may be also kind
for those still unspoken
and may God bless your mind
may they open up like tight buds to become the flowers
of the world, the sun to warm them, the rain to shower them
may these poems live and linger
may they be like grass always unswerving to grow and cover everything
alive and loving.

A Place Called Eden
There was a paradise that ruled long ago.
Quiet.
Peaceful.
More beautiful than the human eye can ever perceive;
untainted by humans,
this Place called Eden.
This Garden was eternal, life-giving,
as perfect as the Heavens brought to Earth.
But along came Man,
swept in with a storm,
hiding the sun.
A pummeling rain flattened the flowers
and lightning licked at trees, destroying
this Place called Eden.
The clouds finally parted.
The sun peaked out fearfully, looking down
at Man, who stood alone.
Who felt himself powerful.
Betrayal drowned the Garden.
Mad smiled at his feat:
He had taken over with sin,
this Place called Eden.
Man cursed himself,
Perfection was lost, Misery
had taken over Man as Nature
healed itself for its revenge on the Destroyer.
Man learned self-loathing
and the true power of
this Place called Eden.
Death came to Earth. It punished Man fiercer
than Nature had: any man close
to finding the lost Land
was taken from Earth,
and Man was never to find it again,
this Place called Eden.

Concealment And Covering
you conceal so many things
for so many reasons
you cover them
for so many ratiocinations
you cover you cup of coffee
so it may not get cold that easily
in the same manner you cover your cooking pot
so it may get hot earlier and at least fuel
you cover your ears perhaps because there's so much noise
you cover your head because it may be so hot or there may be rain
you cover your book to protect it from stains
you cover your furnitures because there is so much dust
you cover your body, your heart, your mind
for so many reasons
to each his own because we want to survive we want to live
we want to be just left to ourselves in our chosen privacies
no one has ever said that survival is a crime, a sin, a wrong,
it is the most fitting thing to do, and you must do it too.

Do I Ever Cross Your Mind
Oh, sometimes I go walking through fields where we walked
Long ago in the sweet used to be
And the flowers still grow, but they don't smell as sweet
As they did when you picked them for me
And when I think of you and the love we once knew
How I wish we could go back in time
Do you ever think back on old memories like that
Or do I ever cross your mind
Oh, how often I wish that again I could kiss
Your sweet lips like I did long ago
And how often I long for those two loving arms
That once held me so gentle and close
And when I think of you and the love we once knew
How I wish we could go back in time
Do you ever recall these old memories at all
Or do I ever cross your mind
When old memories appear my eyes wont stay clear
When I think of those happier times
Do you ever recall these old memories at all
Or do I ever cross your mind
Do you ever think back on old memories like that
Or do I ever cross your mind

Power to Choice!
What is the world about?
Days tearing through drapes of nights
Spring sprouting buds after winter
Or a beacon after a spell of Dark plight.
Is it goodness separating from a vile?
Always a cycle, a circle of life
Circle completes itself, with both its halves
Has no choice, but a constant strife.
Man is here to experience it all
The day is brighter after weary night
The vivid spring, following dull winters
Evil is disturbing once concerned Uprights.
Freedom feels blessing in known restraints
But Man is superior to all voices
Universe was created for him
Bestowed him, powers of knowledge & choices.
Privilege to pick, took him to the top
Such option, not given to anything else
Rest is bound to move in single path
Free is Man, in the rounds of universe.

A Rare Flower Blooms Only Once In a Blue Moon!
Just as Nature is an inspiration to spirit
Poetry is an inspiration to the heart ever!
Musical poems full of meaning delight all
Like the freshly blossomed flowers do to all!
Poems delight heart, inspire mind and
Elevate spirit to higher level ever in bliss!
Poems mean inspiration and delight to heart
That remain in mind ever to inspire soul ever!
Nature and poetry are reality and reflection
As Shakespeare did with his art of poems
Reflecting human life in all its totality ever
As rare flowers alive for all to enjoy ever!
Poems of such kind are flowers of rare variety
Such flowers bloom only once in a blue moon!

Out Of My Mind
(lebon, rhodes, cuccurullo)
Light a candle, lay flowers at the door
For those whore left behind and the ones whove gone before
Here it comes now, sure as silence follows rain,
The taste of you upon my lips, the fingers in my brain
Ever gentle, as it kills me where I lay
Who am I to resist, who are you to fail?
Got to get you out of my mind
But I cant escape from the feeling
As I try to leave the memory behind
Without you whats left to believe in?
Could be so sorry, for the way it had to go
But now I feel your presence in a way I could not know
And I wonder, do you ever feel the same?
In whispering darkness, do you ever here my name?
(chorus)
(here in the back of your mind)
(here in the back of your mind)
And how could you dare,
To become so real (become so real..)
When youre just a ghost in me
And ive....
(chorus)
Here in the back of your mind
Deep in the back of your mind
Here in the back of your mind
Deep in the back of your mind
Deep in the back of your mind...

Perfection
Your cold and poor-spirited love
Was like running water upon my hands...
I did for your love, all that I could....
As an imperfect man that I am...
I offered you just possible things...
Warmth when you were cold,
And consolation when you felt hopeless...
You search for perfection
Which you will never find...
Perfect is the rain that falls
In the spring time...
Perfect are the flowers that grow
in a real garden of love....
Perfect is the smile in a child
Who plays with toys...
Perfection is a man
Who had it all
And now is getting tired and old...
Perfection are the memories
In your heart and mind...
Perfection is something
You shall never find
On me or any other man
Since perfection is just
In your dreams and imagination...
Now perfection becomes
Just like a story untold....
How sad it is
That my love you can no longer have
Neither my hands again hold...
o! Woman, wish you good luck
In your new try...
