A Sad Story
How was one a travesty
And genocide but another
Statistic daily
Who was here first
Man or Earth or
God
And if the farm
Be for the people
Why do we rush and wish
Other people gone
In today's statistic daily
Another million gone
Or is it because the earth
Has to ventilate
No excuses made
If i had to choose
Between my farm and my son
The farm is surely gone
If i had to choose
Between my son and my God
Surely the son be gone
But thankfully
There is no choice
To be made today
But travesty and statistics
Still have their way

The Farm
There┬┤s a cockroach in my coffee
There┬┤s a needle in my arm
And I feel like New York City
Get me to the farm
Get me to the farm
Get me to the farm
Somebody get me to the farm
I got terminal uniqueness
I'm an egocentric man
I get caught up in my freakness
But I ain┬┤t no Peter Pan
Get me to the farm
Get me to the farm
Get me to the farm
Get me...
Buckle up straight Jack
Sanity is such a drag
Jellybeam thorazene
Trancendental jet lag
Sanity I ain┬┤t gotta
Feeling like a pinala
Sucker punch-blowin┬┤lung
Motherload-pigeonholed
I'm feeling like I'm gonna explode
I wanna be a Hare Krishna
Tattoo a dot right on my head
And the prozac is my fixer
I am the living dead
Take me to the farm
Take me to the farm
Somebody take me to the farm
Somebody take me to the farm
Take me to the farm
Take me to the farm
Somebody take me to the farm
Somebody take me to the farm

I Aint Gonna Work On Maggies Farm No More
(bob dylan)
I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
I wake up every morning
Hold my hands and pray for rain
Ive got a head full of ideas
Driving me insane
Its a shame the way she makes me scrub the floor
Well, I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
Well, I aint gonna work for maggies brother no more
I aint gonna work for maggies brother no more
He hands you a nickel
He hands you a dime
He asks you and your friends
If youre having a good time
He blames you every time you slam the door
Well, I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
Well, I aint gonna work for maggies pa no more
I aint gonna work for maggies pa no more
He stubs his cigarette out in your face just for kicks
His bedroom window is made out of bricks
And the national guard are standing at his door
Well, I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
Well, I aint gonna work for maggies mother no more
I aint gonna work for maggies mother no more
She talks to all the servants about man and God and law
And everybody swears shes the brains behind pa
Shes sixty-eight, but claims shes twenty-four
Well, I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
Well, I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
I try so hard to be just who I am
But everybody wants you to be just like them
They say see, while youre playing I get bored ? ?
Well, I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more
I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more

Ain't Gonna Work On Your Farm No More
I ain’t gonna work on your farm no more
I ain’t gonna scrub all your floors,
I ain’t gonna take all your friends who ignore
what I do when they hide behind doors
where they pay no attention to stuff that I think,
and say, when they pay me a dime,
that I ain’t entitled to spend it on drink,
or ladies who show me good time.
I ain’t gonna work for your children or friends
who preach of the law and the Lord,
and hear all those messages God never sends
to people with who He is bored,
like I am. I ain’t gonna work on your farm,
instead I will write me a song,
and pray that its words will all sound the alarm,
for I expect to be back before long.
Mark Z. Barabak (“He’s Digging ‘Farm, ’” LA Times, June 26,2008) writes that Barack Obama’s favorite Bob Dylan song is “Maggie’s Farm, ” performed in 1995 at the Newport Festival, when he turned electric and never looked back:
I AIN’T GONNA WORK ON MAGGIE’S FARM NO MORE
I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more
I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more
I wake up every morning
hold my hands and pray for rain
I've got a head full of ideas
driving me insane
It's a shame the way she makes me scrub the floor
well, I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more
Well, I ain't gonna work for Maggie's brother no more
I ain't gonna work for Maggie's brother no more
He hands you a nickel
he hands you a dime
He asks you and your friends
if you're having a good time
He blames you every time you slam the door
Well, I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more
Well, I ain't gonna work for Maggie's Pa no more
I ain't gonna work for Maggie's Pa no more
He stubs his cigarette out in your face just for kicks
his bedroom window is made out of bricks
And the National Guard are standing at his door
well, I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more

I was a typical farm boy. I liked the farm. I enjoyed the things that you do on a farm, go down to the drainage ditch and fish, and look at the crawfish and pick a little cotton.

When Alice Comes Back To The Farm
Jenny had a bawl at me the other night
She threw it up an drove away.
So I made a call completely outa sight
Hope to put it right today
When alice comes back to the farm
I wont be in the cold tonight.
When alice comes back to the farm
You know its gonna be alright. yeah
Gimme an appointment put me in the light
Thats a taste of what she needs.
Such a disappointment daddys in the right.
Time for tearing out the weeds
When alice comes back to the farm
I wont be in the cold tonight.
When alice comes back to the farm,
You know its gonna be alright, yeah.
Relax now baby that woman wont get past my door
I believe, I believe that woman wont pass my door
She wont be raisin no alarm
Dont get around much any more

Sonnet: Choose The Things in Your Life
0 choose your friend who must be good as you;
And choose your spouse better than you; make sure;
And choose the one best as your Teacher too;
And choose ambitions that suit your nature.
0 choose the profession thats truly best;
And choose the hobbies that ne'er interfere;
And choose your Time to begin work, take rest;
And choose your enemies, you surely fear.
0 choose your food that gives extended health;
And choose your garments -comfortable wear;
And choose the honest way to added wealth;
And choose the burden right, body can bear.
0 choose the people who deserve help most;
And choose good principles, yet never boast.

Of course people don't want war. Why should a poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best thing he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece?

Another statistic
i Don't wanna be another statistic
some girl who has no money
who steals to help and support
a girl who has nothing
or no one anymore
i dont wanna be another statistic
some suicidal teen
who has nothing left to live for
and nothing to believe
i dont wanna be another statistic
someone who gets in trouble
for nothing and everything
someone with bad grades
who has no chance of graduating
i dont wanna be another statistic
a girl who doesnt go to college
and one who doesnt graduate
or has a college degree
to be a young girl, a slum in the streets
i dont wanna be another statistic
another girl locked up
who doesnt have a famiy
cause they cant keep thenselves straight
i dont wanna be another statistic
a girl who just wanted fun
didnt use protection
didnt think the consequences
pregnant without a father
no money or support
i dont wanna be a statistic
a girl without a dream
crushed by other people
cause they didnt think it could ever be
now shes living on the streets
begging people for money
i dont wanna be another statistic
a girl so well behaved
so sweet
with everything going for her
left alone one night
trauma turned her around
now shes gone
i dont wanna end up dead, poor, pregnant or even a dropp out.
i dont wanna get in trouble, locked up, or homeless
i'll be me
i wont let anyone change who i am

Animal Farm
This world is big and wild and half insane
Take me where real animals are playing
Just a dirty old shack
Where the hound dogs bark
That we called our home
I want to be back there
Among the cats and dogs
And the pigs and the goats
On animal farm
My animal home
On animal farm
My animal home
While I lay my head upon my pillow
Little girl, come play beneath my window
Though shes far from home
She is free from harm
And she need not fear
She is by my side
And the sky is wide
So let the sun shine bright
On animal farm
My animal home
On animal farm
My animal home
Girl, its a hard, hard world, if it gets you down
Dreams often fade and die in a bad, bad world
Ill take you where real animals are playing
And people are real people not just playing
Its a quiet, quiet life
By a dirty old shack
That we called our home
I want to be back there
Among the cats and dogs
And the pigs and the goats
On animal farm
My animal home
On animal farm
My animal home
On animal farm
Animal farm

Respect The Earth!
why do we always mistreat
the people who do our farm work?
why would we starve the people
who pick our crops?
why would we deport the only people
who are willing to do the work?
and you wonder why your kids
think that all food comes
from an aisle in the grocery store!
gas prices keep rising,
food prices keep rising...
what happens when the trucking
industry goes down?
what are you going to eat then?
we need to as much as possible
go back to raising our food.
at the very least support
your local farmers...
no GM seeds!
do it the old way, the right way.
pay your farm workers,
pay them well!
get out and do the work yourself!
stop the dependency on a failing system!
let the people who want to work, work!
respect the earth, and it will respect us!

Only he can understand what a farm is, what a country is, who shall have sacrificed part of himself to his farm or country, fought to save it, struggled to make it beautiful. Only then will the love of farm or country fill his heart.

Things Ain't Workin' Out Down At The Farm (version 1)
Things Ain't Working Out Down At The Farm (Lynott)
-----------------------------------------
There goes Moses carrying his bible book
Never has a problem, just has a cup
It's good clean alcohol and it fills you up
And here I go laughing like a fool, yeah
Things ain't working out down at the farm
Got no bag or baggage or love to keep me warm
And I ain't been in trouble since the day I was born
Things ain't working out down at the farm
I used to spend my sunny days supping aways
Along came Gogarty and he put me away
Down at the station was kept for strays
And I went laughing, geez he like busting me, he liked busting me
He caught me unawares and he made me strip naked
Oh I was scared, oh I was scared, I was shaking
And he said
It's you and me
And me and you
And me and me
And you and you
And me and me
And I just kept laughing like a fool, yeah
Things ain't working out down at the farm

Choose or Lose
Every day there's a fork in the road.
Do you settle for pie less a la mode?
Are you the seller or being sold?
Are you the teller or being told?
If you choose, you might be right;
If you don't, you lose the fight…
A fight to know where you stand,
Pursuing ways solely you planned.
If afraid to choose, you surely lose,
Missing chances only you refuse.
That choice is there just for you.
Let not love nor money dim your view.
In name and gender you had no choice.
Now able to choose, in unflinching voice,
Proclaim that friends you select
Reflect your own self respect.
Decide what's best and then believe
What you choose you will receive.
Accept no less than your worth.
You're the only one of you on earth!

In the early morning
When a god in the early morning
descended from the east
he wanted to find
a farm girl
and to get a Afrikaner girl
as a mate,
but no Afrikaner farm girl
liked him.
He got really angry
and went to the old Orange Free State
and there he scorched the earth open
with lightning bolts
and blasted every thing flat
to be able to see miles far
when an Afrikaner farm girl passes.
He farmed as well as he could
and fetched his sheep
from the fields
and one day
when he was standing in the field
between the blue bushes,
he saw an Afrikaner farm girl going past
and on his horse
he rode as fast as the wind
with dust hanging
twisting behind him
to get his girl.
l’Envoi
With time a nation
emerged like giants
out of that dry earth
and they work
before the sun rises
farming in that arid region
and here and there
a boy
watches a girl...
[Reference: The Orange Free State is province in South Africa, which is very arid with a flat landscape.]

Monroe Louisiana
On the green, green farm
In green, green Monroe Louisiana
So green, green
Wet-luscious green and alive
So green after the rain
So bright green and clean
Just passing through
On my way to tomorrow
But so green today and yesterday
It was on that stranger's green, green farm
And I didn't stay long
And I didn't expect someone
To fire that shotgun right next to me
The barrel pointed out the front door
Into that green, green world beyond.
There were hot springs
On the green, green farm
In green, green Monroe Louisiana
Back in 1973.

The power of female
A farm horse is drawn to a farm mare.
A race horse too will be
Averse not to a farm mare.
Such is the power of the female.

I Dont Wanna Leave You On The Farm
I dont wanna leave you on the farm
I dont wanna leave you on the farm
I dont wanna go
Oh, just so ya know
I dont wanna leave you on the farm
Days go by and Im still high
But you know Im thinkin about you
Corns turned brown, leaves fall to the ground
Its a sound that reminds me of you
I dont wanna leave you on the farm
I dont wanna leave you on the farm
I dont wanna go
Oh, just so ya know
I dont wanna leave you on the farm
No telephone to call you at home
Im alone on the throne
Go get somethin, hey, thanks for nothin
Ill keep truckin and gettin myself stoned
I dont wanna leave you on the farm
I dont wanna leave you on the farm
I dont wanna go
Oh, just so ya know
I dont wanna leave you on the farm
Days go by and Im still high
But you know Im thinkin about you
Corns turned brown, leaves fall to the ground
Its a sound that sticks like glue

Happy Fourth of July America!
Wanna' know how many lil' kids
Go to bed hungry in the U.SA
Each night?
If I said "over a million"
Would you sleep any
less sound tonight?
And how many of you
Would agree with me
That being a kid can be rough?
Well…over six million American kids
Get either very little food…each day
Or simply not enough.
Feelin' uncomfortable yet? I hope so! ! !
Think about it, when you're chowin' down
This bountiful 4th of July
Foreign aid paid in one year to 150 countries
Including some enemies, is 58 billion, more or less
All paid by you and I
Our roads and bridges need 2.2 trillion dollars
To be repaired and fixed
And brought up to a safe state
And all the while America crumbles
We've spent more than a trillion (not including Libya)
If futile wars in Afghanistan and Iraq… to date
And one other lil' statistic That I carped about before
on the 4th of July a couple years ago
In a little noticed, seemingly inconsequential poem
Has grown to 6440 American boys killed in action
I hate this statistic! ! It's cruel and sadistic! !
And By God… they should have been kept home! ! !
These are numbers and statistics
Too great for comprehension… by
Ordinary people like you and I
But I hope there's someone out there
That I've made a little bit more aware
And… to my complacent, naïve fellow Americans
A bountiful, happy Fourth of July
(To our leaders)

Juniors Farm
You should have seen me with the pocker man,
I had a honey and I bet a grand,
Just in the nick of time I looked at his hand.
I was talking to an eskimo,
Said he was hopping for a fall of snow,
When up popped a sea lion ready to go.
Lets go, lets go, lets go, lets go
Down to juniors farm where I want to lay low,
Low life, high life, oh, lets go,
Take me down to juniors farm.
At te houses of parliament
Evrybodys talking bout the president,
We all chip in for a bag of cement.
Olly hardy should have had more sense,
He bought a gee-gee and he jumped the fence,
All for the sake of a couple of pence.
I took my bag into a grocers store,
The price is higher than the time before,
Old mand asked me why is it more.
I said you should have seen me with the poker man,
I had a honey and I bet a grand,
Just in the nick of time I looked at his hand.
Lets go, lets go, lets go, lets go
Down to juniors farm where I want to lay low,
Low life, high life, oh, lets go,
Take me down to juniors farm,
Lets go, lets go, down to juniors farm where I want to lay low.
Low life, high life, oh, lets go,
Take me down to juniors farm
Evrybody tag along.
