A Roomful of Laughter
there’s a roomful of laughter
and a roomful of tears
and the women wear pearls
dripping from their ears
the men drive sleek daggers
through the heart of the night
and yesterday’s memories
are locked up tight
there are children singing
full of dispair
in a room filled with laughter
no one cares
the women are pretty
they slither like snakes
through a roomful of glass
they have no time to waste
the men smoke cigars
and talk of the war
money and profit
and the bright women who whore
small birds shake rain drops
from the limb of a tree
and boys and girls
sell themselves for a fee
in a roomful of laughter
nothing is free
yesterday’s dreams
are trapped in a drum
that a clown beats
with the backs of his thumbs-
a terrible beat that
wakes up the sun
in a roomful of laughter
razors cut lines through the snow
silver lives are revealed
in mirrors rimmed with gold
beauty is truth
but truth is a lie
and no one cares
who lives or who dies
somewhere there is purpose
somewhere there is design
but madness is the reason

A Little Spark of Laughter
A little spark of laughter is what we need each day.
It's something like the apple to keep the doctor away.
Some can find the laughter. Their lives are pretty good.
Some would love some laughter. I know that they would.
But, laughter in their lives is only a memory.
It has been replaced with constant misery.
Their lives are torn
Their babies born
With sickness and disease.
They have no home.
They walk and roam
No blankets as they freeze.
No food to eat
No water sweet
And end to all their peace.
And so there is no laughter to help them everyday.
In fact there is no laughter to help in any way.
So, be thankful if you have the spark of laughter that you need.
And pray for those who have none, that God will intercede.

The laughter of women sets fire

We use to have it,

A Story Of Bad Karma
the curtain in the room is transparent
silky, embroidered with tiny light red flowers
light is filtered and air is lazy
laughter is restrained at first until the drinks come
glasses click and talks are varied
times come anew
memories of faces come out from the graves of our
forgetfulness
the room soon is filled with smoke
men smoke and women sip wine on their warm sides
the lives of other people start to be opened
the talkers are surgeons scrutinizing the intestines and bladders
there is a small man whose hands are like cold forks
he is looking at the fat man puffing smoke and bragging about his gains
fortunes backed by crimes and
money laundered and shared in secrets by conspiracies
no one notices a bee landing on the navel of the fat man
whose belly comes out from his tight shirt
instantly the bee left a sting
and the man died.

My Heart is Broken
Does anyone know that my heart is broken?
Perhaps no one really knows because of the laughter I show when I'm with them,
Nobody knows that my heart is hurting because of that person.
Those days in love it was the laughter that made me happy,
Waking up in the morning next to the person that I loved,
It was everything that I could wished for,
But the laughter faded when the person said it was over.
Years have passed by but the memories are still here,
And I don't think I could ever erase the person from my mind,
Those wonderful memories from my heart.
My heart is bleeding from the sad memories that were once happy,
I can laugh and laugh,
I can lie to myself and my friends,
But the tears from the laughter are the tears from the heartbreak.
Sometimes in the nights I hear myself laughing,
The laughter that echoes through the nights,
Through the lonely dark room,
I sometimes realize that not all of the echoing sounds are laughter,
But they are the tears and sadness coming from my heart.
How can I erase anything when the person's love was so beautiful?
