A Quiet Narrative On Romance
For love, we seek to find a way,
To leave and travel to another day.
And may that day bring some peace,
With a bunch of long-stems for the feast.
The feast is a means to escape,
The person whom you wish to drape.
Across the path from which you tread,
Better known as your bed.
Blood, red romance and suffocate me why?
For love is the means to make you fly.
Read and recite the great poems might,
The poet’s heart is for the fight.
Peace, time and free love,
Are the lovers past dove.
From whence you go, you’ll find a way,
To keep you heart and steal away.
For time is your guest, you’ll never know,
Your mind is forever on the go.
The peace of mind you seek,
Will eventually be yours to keep.
But this will take all of your soul,
So dig in deep just as a mole.
There will come a time,
When heart and all will be mine.
So when this time comes to pass,
Fear not, it will surpass.
All that is good and gone,
Will now be drawn upon.

Parting Is Such Empty Sorrow
Parting is such an empty sorrow
Yet there is always a sweet tomorrow
There is such a pain within my heart
When that time comes that we must part
And the minutes and hours that slipped away
Were taken for granted day by day
Until the time comes when you have to leave
And I'm left standing with my heart on my sleeve
Can there really be a sweet tomorrow?
My heart wonders as it fills with sorrow
I just never know if I will see you again
Which is why my heart feels such pain
There is an agony in long good-byes
And tears fall from swollen eyes
And in my heart you're never far away
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, or so they say
But time and distance fogs the mind
And the best that memories do is to rewind
And think again of times gone past

Blood Stained Shoes
Here I stand with beating heart,
Laid bare and bleeding in outstretched hands.
Take it please. I don't want it any more.
I've ripped it out, removed the aching part,
I don't know how else I might find peace.
While you are in such deep distress.
But my sorrow grants not your happiness,
In fact my grief may hinder it.
So why do I stand here, heart in my hands,
Dripping blood onto my shoes?
If I find my happiness, might it encourage yours?
But here I stand foolishly, blood staining my shoes.
I'm desperate to detour your destructive path.
And in my mind, hold a photograph, of what I want for you.
Abrupt insight allows me to see, you have visions of your own.
And I recognize, I can't achieve, even what I've envisioned for me.
So how, oh how, can I unshackle you?
How can I think there is anything I can do?
I fear it's time to let go, to trust, your life is between God & you.
I can't surrender, cannot resign. I always will be near.
I must let go, & learn to know, your life is yours I can't control,
You alone can find your niche and I must find mine too.
My happiness, my peace, my liberty,
Like yours, is between my God and me,
But take my throbbing heart I plead, it really belongs to you.
It will comfort to me, and I believe, it will be safe with you.
My mind and soul are all I need to carry me on through.
Besides while I stand holding it here, it keeps dripping on my shoes.
You take it, mercifully. Your footsteps fade, you navigate your way.
Following, surely please, in The King's footprints, I pray.
And I turn to see where my Lord leads me.
What works I should do, where I should be,
I search the horizon for my own fulfillment, for my tranquility,
I pray I find my road and plan, and I pray you find yours too.
We'll encounter again when the time is right, I anticipate that day.
We'll be well & content, it must be so, I can't accept any other way.

Oh God! I need a quiet place,
Where flows the nectar of peace,
Not that kind of dead peace,
In the grave, one finds with ease.
I went to the Himalayas Mountain,
But peace there was no certain,
As the solitude tore my mind,

Creativity Continued
The first line of the poetry came visiting one day
And hit me with alacrity and wouldn't go away.
It stayed with me the whole day long, repeating in my mind
And finally, I'm not that strong, I let the verse unwind.
I made some coffee, then returned and read the poem through,
Regretting what I once had spurned and thought of what to do.
How could I make this poem great, transform it, make it shine?
What precious thoughts could I create? I needed help divine.
I bowed my head and simply prayed, for love to lead me well,
Forgiveness for each time I strayed, delayed what I should tell.
The prophet as the psalmist knows the duties I forgot,
The poet must receive his prose, strike while the iron's hot.
Revitalised, with hope renewed, by faith, I wrote once more,
The second verse improved my mood and thrilled me to the core.
Then suddenly, I thought of her, my dream girl long ago
And of true love that once could stir this heart to overflow.
But life goes on, we parted friends, I miss her now and then,
That's how it is when true love ends, but that was way back when.
The third verse shared the love we had, the sweethearts' tenderness,
The magic moments we were glad and thought God chose to bless.
Now all that's left are memories, the fragments of romance,
The peace of mind as tears decrease, no more a second chance.
The poem done and sent by mail, accepted in due course
And published so it told the tale: Two lovers and their flaws.
My broken heart has never healed, through cracks the poems rise,
Like wheat within a farmer's field, they try to touch God's skies,
They blossom in the readers' hearts, they nestle in their minds
And then, not one of them departs, for such as these are signs.
The years bring wisdom, come what may and creativity,
If we but only seize the day, to be what we must be.
For some, romance leads to respect, then children by and by.
In time, they, too, will pause, reflect, create and ask God, 'Why? '

Age Old Feelings
For this woman, his heart doth treasure
And in his soul, he will always treasure
In her heart, naught these feelings lay
But like a game, with him she'll play
Broken hearted, he cries heavy tears
Such tears had not been shed
For so long a time as to be forgot
Such a time he had such a thought
That a sacred love he would never find
And to said love, he would become blind
A fair young maiden in her tower sits
Between her heart and mind, she is split
Her mind demands she do what she must
Her heart to her mind may never trust
For her heart is where true love lies
Yet in her mind, that same love dies
How can love live and die at the same time?
It seems that thought would be known as crime
To her, True lover seems so far away
But in truth, that love will come one day
They met by chance, it seemed too late
But in his heart, it seemed like fate
She was so scared as was he
More in love, they could not be
But because the fear was combined with love
It did not seem it could last for long
They felt the joy but also the fear
He tried to help, she tried to hear
But she was too afraid to heed
So what he did was show her whats real
Not the things of want but that she was his only desire
