A Purple Dragonfly
A purple dragonfly, just caught my eye.
A sharp contrast to the clear blue sky.
He lands on a twig to rest his wings,
Unmindful of danger, and all other things.
As I approach he takes to flight.
Those gossamer wings are a delight.
A purple blur in the twilight gloom,
Up, up, and away, listen to the zoom.

The Purple Sage
Purple sage is a beautiful thing,
Flowering in violet,
In winter or spring.
The leaves vary from silver to green,
It grows wild in Texas,
Of the wild it's the king.
Flowers are white, purple, or pink,
But only the purple,
Makes you mind stop and think.
Songs and stories, have come down through time,
Of the purple sage,
In it's inhospitable climes.
If your'e ever in Texas, come check it out,
Cause the purple sage,
Is what Texas is about.

The Needs And Wants Of A 3 Year Old
Mommy, do you have my purple wings?
Your purple wings?
Yes Mommy my purple wings,
I need them.
No my dear,
You don’t have purple wings.
Can you make me purple wings, Mommy?
Sure honey, but why do you need them?
I need my purple wings to fly to the sky,
Cause I want to catch me a helicopter.

A Lovely Lavender Day
Purple, everything purple, purple
the colour I love, everything packaged
in purple – tile cleaner in a purple
container for lavender sweetness
Also power-cleaning cream for lavender-
fresh effects, the bottle appealing in a
soft purple hue, fabric conditioner in purple
too, accompanied by lavender promises
And my purple hot water bottle – I bought
Nici a purple fleece; a purple coverlet
on my bed, my favourite chocolate in a
purple wrapper
Purple is spiritual in the division of
seven chakra colours – red is earthed in
primitive desire, followed by orange, yellow,
green – the colour of love – and
Blue – the colour of communication, then
purple for third-eye enlightenment - purple
adds lustre and the sweetness of vague
mistiness to everything on which it appears;
Wishing you a lovely lavender day
in all hues of purple and blue!

Purple Rain
(prince)
I never meant to cause you any trouble
I never meant to cause you any pain
I only ever wanted to see you laughing
Only want to see you laughing in the purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Only want to see you underneath the purple rain
Honey, I never wanted to be your wicked lover
Only wanted to be some kind of friend
I could never leave you for another
Its such a shame our friendship had to end
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Only wanted to see you underneath the purple rain
Honey, I know, I know, I know times are changing
This time we all reach out for something new
That means you too
You say youre looking for a leader,
But you cant seem to make up your mind
But you better open it up wide, let it guide you
To the purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Only want to see you, baby, in the purple rain

If Purple Could Heal You
If Purple Could Heal You
By Tameka Callaway
One day, you told me that Purple is your favorite color.
I wish that purple can heal you
If purple could heal you, I would give purple flowers everyday
in a purple vase that will make your day
I would wear purple lip stick so I come leave kisses on you face
Wish there was purple days and purple nights
If only purple could heal you, I will give a purple glass of purple kool aid with purple ice so you would have a purple tong
I would go to the end of the world to find you the perfect purple yarn so I could make you a purple body suit from head to toe
Oh how I would give you a purple world
But for now, I just give you a purple poem
I love you

What is Purple?
Purple is a mystery.
Purple is happiness.
Purple is home.
Purple is a sanctuary.
And Purple is my own.
A little place in my mind.
A little sunshine in my day.
Purple is who I am.
And Purple is magic.

Dragonfly
Id rather live than just imagine
Dont think there is a way around
And if I fail Ill still be standing
With my feet firmly on the ground.
Through my window from the sky
Flows a lullaby
Someomes waiting in my dream
Taking me to places Ive never seen.
If I had some wings then I could fly (dragonfly)
In my dreams
I am the the dragonfly (dragonfly)
I guess I always will be searching
I live and learn from my mistakes
And all the love that Im expecting
Is equal to the love I make.
Little dreamer when evening falls. shadows fall
Bring some honey for my soul
Take me to the places Ive never been.
If I had some wings then I could fly (dragonfly)
In my dreams I am the dragonfly (dragonfly).

The Poet To His Love
ALL the flight of thoughts here, shy, bold, scared, intrusive,
Fluttering in the sun, between the green and blue,
Wheeling, whirling, poising, lovely and elusive,
How to cage the flying thoughts, my winged delight, for you?
Set a springe of rhyme, and hope to catch them in it?
Strew my love as grain to lure them to the snare?
Watch the hours built up, slow minute piled on minute?
Still the wide sky guards their flight, and still the cage is bare.
Gleam of hovering feathers, brushing me to flout me!
Wings, be weary! Rest! Who loves you more than I?
Caught? Oh fluttering pinions whitening air about me!
Rustling wings, and distant flight, and empty cage and sky!

The Color Purple
a friend of mine is obsessed with purple
she says it's a royal color
fits for kings and queens
and she feels like a princess
on her purple hair
her purple dress
and purple bra and
purple shoes
the walls of her house are painted
the railings of the stairs
the windows
the doors are all purple now
the flowers in her garden
and the leaves of her trees
the grass
all purple too
her speech is purple too
the movies she watch are all in the shade of purple
her car turned purple too
royal color that is what she says
i tell her bluntly, ' You are boring, purple! '

Fade To Purple
As if Im sitting on purple clouds
Covered in purple shrouds
Singing purple kissed melodies loud
The Purple Master himself would be proud
Gifted, these fragrant purple flowers
Soaking wet, drenched from purple showers
Lifted, high high high atop purple towers
Yet as I walk through purple haze rooms
Filled with purple phased fumes
Im enlightened by the purple tazed blooms
Purple vibes that remove crazed glooms
Hungry I appetize on purple wood blunts
To then feast upon a purple smoke lunch
Break bread, along with the purple grape bunch
Fade To Purple To Get Me Through The Crunch

Purple Rain and Purple Lavender II
Purple rain and purple lavender,
Find me a place and let me fix my love;
For somebody got to pay for my works! !
And like Shadrachm, Meshach and Abednego.
Life is like the wings of love,
Life is like a strom at sea,
Life is like the works of love,
Life is all about us in this world! !
And at times, it is full of hate;
But, this purple rain and this purple lavender will be well noted by us all.
Purple rain and purple lavender,
With the sweet smell of love to satisfy my muse!
But the rainbow colours are the colours of love,
And like your love in the land of beautiful flowers.
People and the ways of life,
But the wars have destroyed many things around us! !
However, i will still love you for what you are;
And like the muse of love in the land of many widows!
For, this purple rain and this purple lavender are well noted by us all.

Purple Pain-A Parody
Inspired by Barny the purple dinosaur
Parody of Prince's song Purple Rain
Purple pain
You were always meant I know
To cause me sorrow
You were always meant I know
To make me wanna bleed my own blood and gouge out my eyes
You were always meant I know
To cause me pain
Now all I ever want
Since I saw you on my tv screen is for you
You damm purple pain to drown
In the purple rain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
I only want to see you drowning in the purple rain
Oh you damm purple pain
I never wanted my kids to love you
I only thought of you as some kind of fiend
Barney, I could never stand you for another minute
So my television now I must turn off
Even through I know it would make my babies cry
It's such a shame that your lifetime has't come to a end
Oh, oh yes it is
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
I only wanted to see you drown
You damm purple pain
In the purple rain
Oh yes it's true
Purple pain
In the purple rain
Honey, you must know
You must know
The channel I'm a changin'
It's time we all tune in to something new
That means not you
You say you could be a rating's leader
But your agent just can't seem to speak his mind
At the right time
I think you had better fire him
And let me drown you
You damm purple pain
In the purple rain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
Purple pain
If you know who I'm singing about up here
C'mon raise your remote
Purple pain
Purple pain
I only want to see you
See you drown
Oh yeah, drown
You purple pain
In the purple rain

River Roads
Let the crows go by hawking their caw and caw.
They have been swimming in midnights of coal mines somewhere.
Let 'em hawk their caw and caw.
Let the woodpecker drum and drum on a hickory stump.
He has been swimming in red and blue pools somewhere hundreds of years
And the blue has gone to his wings and the red has gone to his head.
Let his red head drum and drum.
Let the dark pools hold the birds in a looking-glass.
And if the pool wishes, let it shiver to the blur of many wings, old swimmers from old places.
Let the redwing streak a line of vermillion on the green wood lines.
And the mist along the river fix its purple in lines of a woman's shawl on lazy shoulders.

The Dragonflies That Cynthia Sings From Afar
cynthia from far sings about the flutteing wings of
some dragonflies
those that i see in my dreams:
blue elongated bodies,
red gossamer wings of dragonflies
flying on the yellow green and baby pink winds
floating sofly in my dreams
from a faraway place my dear cynthia sings
her dragonfly songs
those that ease my pains
all about love and its truth
that the hands of the past can no longer ever hold

The Secretary - Bird
Out of the air it lands
with wings flapping
before the snake can stop it.
Out of the air it lands
strikes deadly at the poisonous adder
with a razor sharp beak that injures,
out of the air it lands
with wings flapping.

Planet Micron
A spaceship lands on purple ground
Planet ‘Micron’ it has found
Purple rock and purple trees
People with purple knees
But only one with super power,
That liked to sing in a purple shower,
A laughing caped defeater
Of the one horned back sliding
purple people eater.
From towering buildings in purple brick
Comes the caped defeater with a chick
Steps onto soft purple grass
Orange birds fly away on mass...
The orange feathered birds fly beak to beak,
While on the purple grass the wind blows,
The two super hero’s dance cheek to cheek,
As the purple planets two moons glows.
