A Break Of Tradition
My mom can't be bothered with me
Because her boyfriend dumped her
My dad uses me to hurt her
My sister steals all of my things
My other sister tries to beat me up
Over accidents
My last sister makes cruel jokes about me
My brother isn't ever around
My friends ask what's wrong
My friends try to help
My friends actually care
But I'm supposed to think
That family's always there
And friends aren't

More Than Friends
You said we're friends
Like brother and sister
Obviously
You have no clue
How you make my heart
Skip a beat
Every time
You smile at me
People say that
The two worst words to hear
Are 'just friends'
But honestly it's more like
'You're like my sister'
You have no clue
How much
You broke my heart
That night
You still don't know
How in love I am
With you
And no one else
My 'brother'
Why don't you know
A Sister Poem
A sister is someone leads and helps you when you have a problem. A sister makes you laugh. A sisiter makes you cry. A sister is someone you fight with. When things go wrong between us.A sister makes you remember who you are.A sister makes you cry when she is sad.A sister is real. A sister is who you want her to be. I then save place in my everyday in my heart. written 8/28/08 Posted 12/10/08 Deciated to my sister Helena

Hush Little Sister
Hush, little sister
Please don't cry
I wish I could be there
To sing you a lullaby
I can see your arms
Bloodied and bruised
That's strange, little sister
Mine were like that too
I know you scream
When Daddy's there
Hush, little sister
I know you're scared
I can see the way
He's hurting you
I'm sorry, little sister
He did that to me too
I know that people
Ignore what's going on at home
That makes me angry, little sister
You shouldn't have to be alone
Hey, little sister
You want to know why I'm not there?
It's a sad story, little sister
But people should care
You see, little sister
One day Daddy got high
You were asleep in your crib
So you didn't hear my cry
He screamed at me
And smashed my head against the door
While you slept, little sister
I died on the floor
You know, little sister
I don't think that I would have died
If someone had only bothered
To listen to my cries
But hush, little sister
Daddy's coming home
Quick, get into bed
You don't want him to find you alone
I'm sorry little sister
He's in a bad mood
Run while you can
Uh oh little sister
He's lifting his belt
Scream while you can, little sister
Call for help
Hush little sister
You don't need to cry
No one can hurt you

True Friends Remain
I have friends,
Very few friends I only trust,
They were there for me when I needed them the most,
A true friends indeed,
They took me under their wings and show me there is meaning in life,
Friends indeed they’re,
I care for them as they cares for me,
True friends remain in my own domain,
How I love them as if they were my sister or my brother,
They’re my true friend,
And I shall try my best to be their true friend as well.

A Sisters
A sister is someone who leads you when you are having a problem.
A sister makes you laugh and cry.
A sister is someone who likes to fight with you.
A sister is the one who stands with you in all your ups and downs.
A sister makes you remember who you really are.
A sister sometimes makes you cry when they are very sad.
A sister is someone who is always there for you through all the laughter and tears.
A sister is real.
A sister never will pretend.
A sister is someone like you whom I treasure everyday in my heart.

My sister My sister
My sister my sister,
Is not the best.
My sister my sister,
Oh give it a rest.
My sister my sister,
Stop with the drama.
My sister my sister,
Dumb as a llama.
My sister my sister,
I'm not supposed to see.
My sister my sister,
Dumb as can be.

Dont Hurt My Little Sister
There she goes she ran in her room
Shell probably stay in there the rest of the day
It sounds like it must have been something you said
You know shes awful used to getting her way
Why dont you kiss her
(why dont you kiss her)
And while you kiss her
(tell her you miss her)
Why dont you treat her
(why dont you treat her)
Treat her nice
Dont hurt my little sister
Dont hurt my little sister
Dont hurt my little sister
You know she digs you and thinks youre a real groovy guy
But yet Im not sure that I feel the same
We both know that youve been making her cry
I hope you dont think its some kind of game
Why dont you love her
(why dont you love her)
Like her big brother
(like her big brother)
Why dont you tell her
(why dont you tell her)
Tell her youre sorry
Dont hurt my little sister
Dont hurt my little sister
Dont hurt my little sister
Dont hurt my little sister
(why dont you love her)
Dont hurt my little sister
(like her big brother)
Dont hurt my little sister
Dont hurt my little sister
Dont hurt my little sister

Never Entrust A Confidence To Such A Callous Person
Why do people take delight in nurturing
all things negative, in propagating every
damning word that was said to them
in confidence?
It makes me wary of friends and family
even more wary of myself – am I like
this, if pressed in a family gathering,
will I also tell all how bad
Sister felt about mother’s rejection, how paranoid
mother supposedly was - I suppose I might, and
once again decide never to visit the family
to partake in general gossip
Your shock on hearing your sister and mother
attacked by a sister-in-law who wasn’t stopped
by your childhood hero – your elder brother -
showed how deep such attacks hurt
She blissfully dissected the sweetest memories
you treasure of your deceased family, but she
did NOT say a word about them, she only
revealed the contents of her mind
I shall never entrust a confidence to such
a callous person – you did not expect the
attack – next time you will be
forewarned…

My sister dont
My sister please dont cry
My sister dry your eyes
My sister don't end your life
My sister your not his wife
My sister he's cold as a snake
My sister he's just a fake
My sister everything will be better when you wake
My sister Ive seen the pills you take
My sister he's full of lies
My sister don't even try
My sister your the one everyone likes
My sister don't start a fight
My sister it ends tonight
My sister I need you, don't end your life

My Sister my sister
My sister holds me tight
My sister kisses me goodnight
My sister knows when I’m mad
My sister helps me when I’m sad
My sister is so smart
My sister has my heart
My sister loves me lots
My sister ties the knots
My sister is here to stay
My sister I have until this very day
My sister I wish you well
My sister yes I can tell
My sister asked if I lied
My sister knows if I’ve cried
My sister has moved away
My sister is in my heart to and will always stay

Sister, Sister
Sister, sister where are you?
Since you left I've been so blue.
Are you someplace, someplace near?
Are you someplace better than here?
Here is where things move along
sometimes right and sometimes wrong.
Makes me happy you don't see
so mush woe and misery.
Sister, sister where are you?
What I envision, what I view
are fields of flowers and butterflies
surrounding you before my eyes.
Here my eyes must look upon
everything that's going on.
Some of it so hard to bear
and as I age it seems unfair.
Sister, sister where are you?
In my dreams and waking too,
my family is my life for now
and I think you know all this somehow.

Who Is Your Best Friend?
Everybody needs friends, we all have friends
Some friends are closer to us than our families
If we happen to fall, there are friends to pick us up
What will our life be without friends?
There are many categories of friendship
There are casual friends, bad friends and good friends
The question here is – who is your best friend?
Friends who can turn your tears into laughter
Is your wife your best friend?
I mean the friend you go to
When you need honest advice
Is your husband your best friend?
I mean the friend who knows you
More than you know yourself
Is your brother or sister your best friend?
I mean the friend who always assists you
To solve difficult personal problems
Is your father or mother your best friend?
I mean the friend you feel safe to keep secrets
Are your in-laws your best friend?
I mean the friend you can tell anything
Is your boss or co-worker your best friend?
I mean the friend who can cover you up at work
Is your son or daughter your best friend?
I mean the friend you use as sounding board
For all your confidential and private thoughts
Is your former classmate your best friend?
I mean the friend who cheers you up on bad days
Whoever may be your best friend, remember that
A friend in need is always a friend indeed

The Love From A Brother
Talked like besties..
Talked like friends..
In the end..
Talked like brothers and sisters..
A brother filled with love..
A brother full of joy..
A brother full of hope..
And the best is a brother full of care..
He’s amazing..
He’s wonderful..
He’s Always around…
I tell him everything..
Everything that comes into my mind…
If I was to be honest..
He is great! !
A brother should help you..
In whatever situation your in..
Starting at problems..
And finishing with Laughter..
Your Brother..
He’s a person that will understand..
A person that makes fun of you..
In a very funny way..
Which makes you giggle and laugh along..
My brother is my life..
He is my everything..
If he goes..
Then there is no-one else in this world..
But if it was me to be going..
I would make him Happy..
And keep him smiling..
Till his day comes..
I’d wished I was always with him..
Taking to him..
Going out places with him..
And more..
I wish I could live..
Like..
I was his lil sister..
Two fingers on one hand..
A real brother and sister would live..
I know that onde day..
In my life..
I will see him..
I will live like I was his little sister..
Now all I do..
Is wait..
Wait for that one day to come! !
This is how a real brother should be! !

Thankfulness
I am thankful for my family
and my friends who care about me
when I am lonely or sad
I am thankful for the one I
love and when I am not happy,
it’s my family that makes me glad
I am thankful for the things
that I have and for the life
i’m living
I am thankful for a home
That I have and for the
things that I forgive
I am thankful to have a nice
family that I like and for the
things that I have done
I am thankful to have pets
that I need and the things
that I like about you
I am thankful for my dad taking
me to basketball games and the
food that I like to make
I am thankful to have a loving sister
that I fight with sometimes but
it will not be forever
I am thankful to go to school that
sometimes don’t like to go to but
it will not be for the rest of my life
I am thankful to have a
dad that doesn’t smoke
and for him having a loving wife
I am thankful to come back
to the US and for the friends
that I miss in China
I am thankful to have a lot
of friends in China and the US
and they miss me
I am thankful to be the
tallest in my family and
my parents agree
I am thankful to be
good at basketball
and I play for a team
Friends
Making new friends is like
Being reborn for which
True friends
Are as if you’ve become
Blood related
All in your own choosing
The friends that stay a life time
Are as close to you as a
A brother or sister
But
The friends that come and go
Are just another faze that
You’ll go through and come out of
Picking your friends is as crucial
As picking your religion
For witch both will and can
Change you life
Save your life
Or
Destroy your life forever
For they are what you
Shape the map of your entire life with
The society in witch you grow-up in shapes
The person you and your friends
Will become on day
So pick your friends wisely cause before long
You’ll be asking yourself if I’m ever in a life or death situation
Would you save my life?
Can I trust you to?
If the answer is no then you need to think about
Why you don’t trust them
What about them makes you not
Trust them
If the answer is yes then you
Have a true friend

Friends
In our childhoods days
Together we would play
People said we were inseparable
Like a brother then
My protective friend
He would always take good care of me
Friends thats what we are just
Friends no more or less oh
Here we are sharing so much fun
Friends why cant he see that I want him
To be more than my friend
Years have come and gone
Still our friendships strong
Now hes more than just the boy next door
Im in love with him
Guess Ive always been
He doesnt know hes all Im living for
Friends thats all we are just
Friends so near yet so far from love
And oh the joy that he can bring
Friends why cant he see that I want him
To be more than my friend
Id like to tell him that I need him bad
But Im afraid if I do I might lose
The only friend that I have
Friends thats all we are just
Friends so near yet so far from love and thus
Well always remain friends
Friends why cant he see that I want us
To be more than just friends

The Butterfly
SISTER.
Do, my dearest brother John,
Let that butterfly alone.
BROTHER.
What harm now do I do?
You're always making such a noise-
SISTER.
O fie, John; none but naughty boys
Say such rude words as you.
BROTHER.
Because you're always speaking sharp:
On the same thing you always harp.
A bird one may not catch,
Nor find a nest, nor angle neither,
Nor from the peacock pluck a feather,
But you are on the watch
To moralize and lecture still.
SISTER.
And ever lecture, John, I will,
When such sad things I hear.
But talk not now of what is past;
The moments fly away too fast,
Though endlessly they seem to last
To that poor soul in fear.
BROTHER.
Well, soon (I say) I'll let it loose;
But, sister, you talk like a goose,
There's no soul in a fly.
SISTER.
It has a form and fibres fine,
Were tempered by the hand divine
Who dwells beyond the sky.
Look, brother, you have hurt its wing-
And plainly by its fluttering
You see it's in distress.
Gay painted coxcomb, spangled beau,
A butterfly is called, you know,
That's always in full dress:
The finest gentleman of all
Insects he is-he gave a ball,
You know the poet wrote.
Let's fancy this the very same,
And then you'll own you've been to blame
To spoil his silken coat.
BROTHER.
Your dancing, spangled, powdered beau,
Look, through the air I've let him go:
And now we're friends again.
As sure as he is in the air,
From this time, Ann, I will take care,
And try to be humane.
