Crimson Sunset Sea
Across a crimson sunset sea,
I search for my lost love
within a passing dream.
The maiden who made my heart flutter
when we first met
and then vanished in a wisp of mist.
Now I seek her
where dreams fall asleep
there across the crimson sunset sea
on the other side of paradise
where dreamt dreams are stored.

Crimson Red
Crimson Red,
Hatred,
Love,
Sunset,
Beauty,
Setting Night,
Warmth,
Light,
All these and maybe more,
Are shown by Crimson Red,
A color very valiant,
A color that's not dead,
One that brings beauty,
So divine that is,
Warmth to those that touch it,
Hatred in the hearts,
When felt at full blast,
A gleam of sunset,
Setting near,
A setting night,
Bringing light,
Not forgetting, embraced love,
Like one bird, with a dove,
Crimson Red is what's in life,
But not in all areas,
In some, the word doesn't exist,
But here, it's part of life,
Crimson Red, never dead...

Shannon, Silver Goddess, Flow to Sea
Shannon, silver goddess, flow to sea
And life bring you with thee
To the oceans loud and proud swell
Thy waters come, as if from a well
From which all of Ireland drinks
Your waters pure, the midlands links
With the seas wide expanse
With whose waters yours joins in a dance.
And so, silver goddess, each mile you grow,
Blesses be your waters that into the Atlantic flow.

Crimson Tide
I wake up in the morning
I see the bright sunshine
O Lord, let be so good
A day to reckon with
I wish the day would speed by
To be with you
O Crimson Tide
O Crimson Tide
I need you my Lady
Come on Crimson Tide
I need you my sweet Lady
Here comes the sunset
Here comes my own sunshine
O Lord let be so good
My day I've reckoned with
I wish the night would slow down
Never to leave you
O Crimson Tide
O Crimson Tide
I need you my Lady
Come on Crimson Tide
I need you my sweet Lady

By the Sea side
Staying by the sea, now at sunset
With the light slowly fading into greyness
And the waters lying quiet
A peace fills me as never before
Dismal fears barred entry into the soul
And mind freed of all disquietude.
Through the soft whisper of waves
A low sweet melody finds its way.
Listening to the gentle sibilance of the sea,
A new insight suddenly dawns on me
None but we are to blame
For all our angry bickerings.
With all swirls and whirls underneath
Is an abstruse calm in the deep
In this continuum of flux
Is a permanence - abiding and perpetual.
Staying by the sea at sunset
With its still waters glimmering in twilight
And the stray clouds straggling in the sky,
My soul undulates with the slow rhythm of waves
And in me breaks a light, luminous and clear
A glimpse of a radiance - ethereal!

Everybody Like A Sunset
Everybody likes a sunset
With
Its gold and crimson
Freshly painted across the sky
A wonder to behold
But it has signaled
The end
Of a day that must have been
Beautiful.
For at the end of an overcast day
The sunset will be present
But hidden.
So the day
Must be lived
And before the day
The sunrise
Which normally passes unnoticed.
Just as few
Are there
To welcome new-born baby
Into the world
Who they call great
At the end of his life
But everybody likes a sunset.

Sunset Memory
An old porch swing
Made once for two
Cool night breeze calling
Out to you
Ten thousand memories
Rise above
Still sunset waters
Of our love
But like the warmth
Gives way to night
Our passion dimmed
As fading light
Was our love doomed
To come and pass
One day as fire
One day as ash
Hearts that once shown
Like breaking dawn
Sank to the sea
All feeling gone
Now every night
Creeps in the same
Cold crimson sky
Breathes out your name
Night after night
I’m left to trace
The sunset memory
Of your face

For All Of Us A Last Sunset
For all of us a last sunset like for all of us there was a first sunrise
A saying that's been around for years that came from someone wise
And every sunset that we see is one nearer to our last
Our biological clocks are ticking on and ticking ever fast
This evening the sun like a huge red ball set behind the western hill
And how many more sunsets for me since time does not stand still
I watched it disappear from view where it set the sky was red
A weather sign in the twilight sky of warmer days ahead
For all of us a last sunset so very very true
No matter what we achieve in life death it will be our due
Even for the greats of human history there was a last sunset
Though they live on in memory since them we don't forget
For all of us a last sunset the facts do never lie
Since like every other form of life we too are born to die.

Blood Flow
Blood, blood
Let it all flow
Crimson
The worlds new gold
A precious ruby
The most sacred jewel
Blood
Sweet poisonous blood
Let it flow as a snake river may
Let it fall like the cruel rain
Red red
Crimson red
Let it pour
Let it drain
Into my goblet of fire
A delicious meal
My sinful desire

Waters Of Scapa Flow
Seagulls fly low over the waters
of Scapa Flow
where giant warships lie sleeping
in the waters far below.
At the end of the First World War
the Germans gathered their ship in line
and the scuttled them.
Rather than hand them over
to the victors of the war.
Now the mighty warships sleep soundly
with the fish deep blow
in the waters of Scapa Flow.

Nocturne
As velvet haze so blankets the dusk
And too soon the crimson sunset fades
My delights still in the twilight bask
While sun beneath rolling waves recedes
Oh shades of night, for my slumber keep
Tunes of day that in the night have died
Fill me gently as I deeply sleep
Conceal the tears every time I cried.

Early Works - The Twilight Hour
When twilight is here
you shall see
but not hear a sound
the world will be peaceful
the seas will be calm
the flowers will sway gracefully
in the breeze as night does come.
The twilight hour
is the hour before darkness does prevail
when little children into dreamland sail
when the sunset leaves the sky grey and blue
then the twilight hour comes into view.
The big city sounds die peacefully
when twilight calls gracefully
as small creatures rest their heads in sleep
as all the world in tranquil stillness does seep
for the twilight hour is tranquil
as it gracefully does call.

As The Sunset
As the sunset I think to myself why.
As the sunset I sit down and cry.
Wondering why life got to be a lie.
As the sunset I dropp my head.
As the sunset I think about you instead.
How can I go home and get in my bed.
As the sunset I say no.
As the sunset I just don't know.
My love that I have for u just wont go.
As the sunset I look to the sky.
As the sunset I wait to die.
Tell me how to say good-bye.
As the sunset I say a prayer.
As the sunset how can I dare.
I'm giving up, I just don't care.
Sitting by the window watching the sun to set.
Knowing I'm going to see you again,
and you coming back home at the end.

Sunrise Sunset
Sunrise sunset in the mood of the way
In the colors of flame and darkish hour
Every shine time of night and the day
Like golden horizon of a new flower
Together to fill up the dream flight time
Of call from alone in the distant past
Where flow of the glimmering is in prime
When moon and the stars show off in their cast
With love so tender in splendor and spark
Of night in the twilight after sunset
Its glistening glowing to deepness dark
With colors of heaven in glow alphabet
Till sunrise in the morning comes new
To dawn of the rising on to a day true

Crimson Hues
When the sky is awash with a crimson hues
at twilight time
it’s suppose to mean there is a fair day ahead.
When the sky is awash with a crimson hues
at the dawn rise
it’s suppose to mean there is a stormy day ahead.
Does that only relate to the weather
or does it mean our lives to,
we can only wait and see
the next time there is a crimson hues.

Crimson Insane
Crimson Love,
who can this be,
Not I,
not you,
nor anybody,
look to crimson so enviously,
smile and grin,
look what you could have been,
Look at crimson now
what do you see?
Falling apart,
a crimson mind shackled yet free,
I'm losing it..... realities touch,
I'm going insane, this life is to much,
Forget all this... but memories remain,
I laugh at the humor, that is crimson insane.

At Twilight
Was it so long? It seems so brief a while
Since this still hour between the day and dark
Was ligntened by a little fellow’s smile;
Since we were wont to mark
The sunset’s crimson dim to gold, to gray,
Content to know that, though he loved to roam
Care-free among the comrades of his play,
Twilight would lead him home.
A year ago! The well-remembered hail
Of happy-hearted children on the green
We hear to-night, and see the sunset pale,
The distant hills between:
But when the busy feet shall homeward turn,
When little wearied heads shall seek for rest,
Where shall you find the weight for which you yearn,
Ah, tender mother-breast?
Dear lips, that in the twilight hushed and dim
Lulled him with murmured fantasies of song;
Dear slender arms, that safely sheltered him,
The empty years are long!
The night’s caressing wind moves babbling on,
And all the whispered gossip of the firs
Is busy with his name who now is gone—
My little lad and hers!
But if we so, with eager eyes and glad,
Looked forward to his coming in the gloom;
If so our hearts leaped out to meet the lad
Whose smile lit all the room,—
Shall there not be a Presence waiting thus
To still the bitter craving of the quest?
Shall there not be a welcome, too, for us
When we go home to rest?
Yes, God be thanked for this: the ashen-gowned
Sweet presence of the twilight, and, afar,
The strong, enduring hills, in beauty crowned
With one white, steadfast star!
A year ago? What, love, to us are years?
The selfsame twilight, cool, and calm, and dim,
That led him home to us, despite our fears,
Shall lead us home to him!

The Contest
Our palm designed to grow
In deserts, sent roots seeking far and wide
Channels where waters flow.
And in the city found
Intricate pipings where the waters flow
Imprisoned underground.
Since iron strength was nought
Against the clever groping fingers, meant
To find the thing they sought
Our palm's condemned to go;
While on through streets and houses at men's will
Rivers of crystal flow.
Be sad awhile. And then
Exult in visible beauty overthrown
By the fair will of men.

I Had A Friend I Met So Long Ago
i met him in the hills ago
for he was a freedom fighter like me
he was shot in the river by the forces
of the dictator and his blood
flood all over the waters of the land
until the sea turned
crimson
until the sunset turned
scarlet
he did not die
he lives in the lives of more freedom fighters
and every sound of the gun
sounds his name
and every song of the rain
sings his life
and every end of the day
starts a new dawn
for this democracy
