Gum Is The Sky
Glum is the sky, by night imprisoned,
As over it the dark clouds creep,
Not menacing or wistful is it,
But plunged in dreary, torpid sleep.
Alone the streaks of lightning, bursting
Through cloud and shadow, seem to be,
As they flare up and blaze, conversing
Like deaf-mute demons soundlessly.
As at a signal, for an instant
A strip of sky is lit, and Lo! -
From out the murk the forests distant
Emerge, set suddenly aglow.
But the light dies, the darkness fleeing
That cloaks the startled, wakeful sky,
And all is still... Is a plot being

I Like The Image Of Clouds Keeping On Changing
i am simply amazed with the way the
clouds keep on changing themselves
and sadly, the winds do not really admit
their faults how they blow harder and how
they stop when the clouds are carried away
in ecstasy and red with sunset the clouds
are mad to the coming of the night its blackness
overpowering its quest for the good and the true
and the beautiful. The moon sits with the stars
in meditation, what goes wrong? why so silent?
that seems to be their theme in the motif of
stillness and the wind now with the wolves and
dogs howl throughout the night telling the
trees that they are ready for love and lust.

Being Left Out
we arrive here together
when the moon was full
for what reason i am left out
i am alone
and you who are all my friends
like sparrows
flew away from me
together
i am like a tree without leaves
and the rocks from the cliff
stare at me in silence
the rivers have their tryst with the sea
the clouds in reunion with the wind
all in their ecstasies
bursting
the fire of sunset amazes me
i want to go near and be burned
there is something lovely
in that red and orange blaze
soon the black bird comes and hovers
on the land that i walk
soon the silence of the stars shall shoo away
the madness of my heart
i may cry and be like the rain and flood all
the paths that you have left me
i may topple some bridges and witness
the fading colors of the rainbow
the dissolving mist of the mountains
these are the utilities of futility
someone has cried and no one listens
i have a dream for many nights now
i have become the moon owning my own light
i speak to my heart and my ears listen

As the sunset I think to myself why.
As the sunset I sit down and cry.
Wondering why life got to be a lie.

How can I go home and get in my bed.

A Sailor's Observation
The sailor stood on the deck of his ship
looking out at the sea, while the sun
blazed a golden yellow hue on the horizon.
As the ship rocked side to side, the
sailor's thoughts drifted, as they
sailed into the setting sun.
"I think the sunset is the best time of the
evening," the sailor thought to himself.
The sun's glorious color reflected its'
light off the clouds and streamed through
the breaks in the clouds.
A sunset as sea is so beautiful
that it takes your breath away.
You cannot see a sunset like this
anywhere else.

Sunsets are not a rare commodity
they come and go every night
so i compare you not to a sunset
for you come once in a life
your beauty surpases the colors of the sky
painted anew each night by angels on high
for god himself has sculpted you
he made it so your only seen by few

Sunset Horizon
You torment me with your bitter leave
and night arises like a ravening wolf-
the lightening thief
Cirrus clouds gather
as though to make a nest
the fiery white moon

The Spirit Of Sunset
There is magic at the end of everyday
You can see it on the horizon of play.
The sun slowly drops down to take a rest,
And then we lay down for the night until the morning crest.
There is beauty in every sunset, open your eyes to see perchance.
You may see the Sunset Spirit rest upon the suns departing glance
Her beauty is beyond reproach; her eyes leave a lasting impression.
And although she does not speak, her lips speak the night's confession.
The Sunset Spirit is this and more, she comes from the suns inner core.
She guides are sunsets for our pleasure, so that we are left wanting more
Her lust for attention motivates her, to show all of sunset's glory.
But, this my friends is truly only half of this beautiful story.
The Sunset Spirit has always been and she will always be,
For she has been set upon this earth at the Lord Gods decree
The Sunset Sprit is a savior to ensure the beauty that we all see,
But most of all she is the beauty in the sunset, that always comforts me.
