A Gravestone Upon The Floor In The Cloisters Of Worcester Cathedral

'MISERRIMUS,' and neither name nor date,
Prayer, text, or symbol, graven upon the stone;
Nought but that word assigned to the unknown,
That solitary word--to separate
From all, and cast a cloud around the fate
Of him who lies beneath. Most wretched one,
'Who' chose his epitaph?--Himself alone
Could thus have dared the grave to agitate,
And claim, among the dead, this awful crown;
Nor doubt that He marked also for his own
Close to these cloistral steps a burial-place,
That every foot might fall with heavier tread,
Trampling upon his vileness. Stranger, pass
Softly!--To save the contrite, Jesus bled.

Advice In The Wilderness

I dreamt I saw Christ walking
Within the wilderness...
And with Him, Satan talking,
To curse and not to bless...
I watched the Devil laughing
At Jesus all alone,
And as the Lord was starving,
Advised, 'Make bread from stone...'

Lord Jesus quoted what He'd learnt,
That Man needs more than bread,
That comes to us from ovens burnt,
So that each one is fed...
Each word of God can feed the soul,
As if a child within,
So that it gains some self-control
And faith that won't give in...

Then Satan promised all the lands,
The kingdoms he possessed,
If Jesus merely raised His hands
In worship, He'd be blessed!
Lord Jesus knew His Father's will,
The Lamb of God was He!
The Saviour who would climb that hill
That men called Calvary!

The Devil merely cleared his throat,
As he continued on
And of the Scriptures he took note,
'One life, then it is gone...
If you fell from a mountain top,
God would protect His Son...'
But Jesus Christ refused to drop,
To test what could be done...

To Calvary, Christ went to die...
A crown of thorns to wear...
To suffer shame for you and I,
Man's shameful sins to bear...
God's great advice He listened to,
By faith, He bled and bled...
You see, He knew God's Word was true...
Enough to raise the dead!

Birth Of An Idea

God's word do i read
God's word dose it lead me
I praise God in the morning in the evening
I thank God in the morning in the evening
I ask God for healing of my kidney
I ask God for a dealing of my Sidney
If you Seek first the kingdom of God
God will leek your desire in his kingdom
His son Jesus Christ died for your sin
This pun can't be said he lied in a pin
So be sure he keeps his word for all
There will be more sleep in his word to fall
Pray God's word you'll find an Idea
Keep that idea in mind through doubt
Reap a pregnant word & don't poubt
Seep through pain of God's word
Leap for joy to see God's insane berth
It is not a toy but a rebirth of God's idea
You will be hot for God's answer to prayer
Give birth KNOCK and stay in God's hair
I promise you will not be in hock to play
in God's Answer

Five Feet Under

5 feet under hes got one foot in the grave
Would you look at him I think hes lost it
I dont think that he can be saved
Hes got a down payment on his tombstone
Hes not alone his whole life has been out
On a limb. just look at him, watch
Him get smashed and race bikes so fast
Just dont laugh, what will it say on his
Epitaph
Here he lies may he rest in peace
Hung on to life by the skin of his teeth
Pushing his luck thru the bottle he drinks
Hes got a date with his maker and he
Doesnt want to be late make no mistake
Hes a good friend so why might his life
Have to end, my friend I dont want to
See you dead
I dont want to see him dead
I dont want to see him dead
I dont want to see him dead

Cloud Walker

In above realms where light emits
Comfort abounds all over
The cloud walker tries to send
All the light to subjects below

Beyond, two lovers swathes in the light
Surging with love each breath
The walker of the clouds gladly glows
And bathes the two with loving light

Unfortunately the superior light that graces
The sweetheart two whom which illuminate
Seems to have a fluctuation within its power
The cloud walker falters, and lowers

Loves most powerful gracious light
Loses some of its glow, downward plight
The female of the couple loses sight
Of the cloud walkers ever powerful light

Sadness creeps in, so horrible the confusion
The cloud walker steps his foot on fading
The couple now weeps as it knows the fate
The end of the cloud walker is close

Feeling the light dissipate before their eyes
The woman holds her lover and horribly cries
Her hopes and dreams were left and denied
Her tears leave her heart separate and untied

Crushing beneath the cloud walkers flicker
The couple lays defeated on the ground
The world has beaten the amazing light
The cloud walker is dead, it is now night

Jesus’ Cross

The Holy Cross beckons
To follow Jesus Christ;
The source of strength and joy
To souls, for Lord athirst!

The Holy Cross guides us
To walk upon His steps;
The Son of God had died
To save mankind from sins.

The Holy Cross reminds
To place our trust in God;
Jesus resurrected
To annul man from rod.

The Holy Cross signals
That life has crosses, woes;
Yet, we must tread fearless;
Engages God, our foes!

The Holy Cross goads us
To carry each one’s cross;
Our war with satan’s won,
By Jesus, without loss!

The Holy Cross renews
Our ties with Jesus Lord;
He will come in glory
To judge mankind by Word!

Ode to the Modern Work-Man

O, wretched modern work-man
The years, they pass you by
Everything you believe
Is nothing but a lie.

O, wretched modern work-man
From your neckties to your socks
You’re nothing but a slave
To pictures in a box.

O, wretched modern work-man
You live for the Public Eye
Your life is but a parody
Whose foundation is a lie.

O, wretched modern work-man
You strive, and save, and yearn
To keep up with the Kamaus
Spending more than you earn.

O, wretched modern work-man
You’re nothing but a slave
Your dreams are dead and buried
Lying in a shallow grave.

O, wretched modern work-man
You strangled your own dreams
You smothered your own happiness
Your hand stifled its screams.

O, wretched modern work-man
For the camera so aesthetic
Beneath the plastic smile
You’re pitiful and pathetic.

O, wretched modern work-man
You work yourself half to death
Chasing pounds and shillings
To swell another’s wealth.

O, wretched modern work-man
You lived your whole life as a show
Yet the only Watcher who mattered
Didn’t like what He saw.

O, wretched modern work-man
When you finally died
Your surname, and hospital bill
Were all you left behind…

Early Works - Restlessness

As I walk through a place of rest
in morbid solitude,
a chill goes down my spine
for an answer I must find.
In front of me lies a closed grave,
on the tombstone my name is paved.

Am I dead,
am I a lost soul
cast into an eternal hell
of restless beings
with no shape or form
to call our own.

Or is it just a dream
of what will happen to me
I cannot tell.
Is this my place after death
to live in the restlessness
outside the gates of hell?

Deceptive Mind

Watch as His miracle unfolds.
And then you may believe.
You seem to doubt what is unseen.
Your mind it will deceive.

They claim Confucius did exist.
And say Jesus did not.
They believe his words of wisdom.
Not what Our Savior Jesus taught.

Maybe it's because they'd have to give.
And Sacrifice all they own.
The words of the wise may make you think.
But with those words you're still alone.

Our savior was beat and tortured.
Paid the price for the wrongs we do.
And bled to death up on a cross.
You believe this is untrue.

So when your at your bottom.
And to life you become a slave.
See if your friend Confucius,
Will pull you from your grave.

Or ask your Father Jesus.
To help you when your down.
See how quick he comes to you.
Then you'll give the King His crown.

You'll know he's always loved you.
And never left your side.
You'll be thankful to Him for all he did.
It was for all of us He died.

Like you before I never believed,
That he did pay the price.
But now I know about His true love.
And about His sacrifice.

For our mind is our worst enemy.
It fills us full of doubt.
With Him you'll think just with your heart.
And know what life is all about.

you have chose the cross in the Calvary
mistaking everything as love

everyone stares at you with interest
asking' Can he make it? Is fate with him?
Has he talked to God about this
sensitive and painful matter? '

Pearls To Swine

Friend, evil lurks on all sides and in man’s heart is where it hides.
The Word of God these men despise, believing they are truly wise.
Flattered by their own mind friend, they disregard all that’s said.
They boast of all they understand but build their lives upon the sand.
And if they don’t open their eyes they are headed for eternal demise.

Don’t cast your pearls to swine for by these men truth is denied.
Men like this must be ignored according to the wisdom of our Lord.
The Truth is handled by these men by trampling under foot my friend.
And friend they are not truly wise but caught in Satan’s web of lies.
Christ Himself will set them straight when He sends them to their fate.

They can’t see through Satan’s disguise and they feed upon his lies.
Lost in ignorance or in pride but from God’s Truth they can not hide.
Satan is the villain who lied, for even these men, Christ Jesus died.
Knowledge is Satan’s disguise, replacing The Truth with worldly lies.
Deception is one of his best tools for changing wise men into fools.

These men think that we’re deceived and we were before we believed.
Then God opened up our eyes to see that only in Christ are we free.
Freed from the bondage of sin that the whole world finds itself in.
Proudly puffed up they won’t remain but only men who are Born-Again.
All men who live for Jesus Christ, from Him will receive Eternal Life.

These men by God are not ignored and will be destroyed by The Lord.
The Lord God is not mocked my friend, as all men will see in the end.
And the fool who says there is no God will be judged by His Iron Rod.
For out of such an empty deduction, he will reap Eternal Destruction.
Of the world with no Godly desire they’ll be cast into the Lake of Fire.

Close Your Eyes

Oh come and take me away
I want to be with you
There's nothing more to say
Could my wish come true
Can you hear me now
I'm screaming it aloud
I wish you'd come somehow

Oh hear me now
I know that you
Have a lot to say
But can you
Pick some other day
To tell me anything but

Right now
Just close your eyes
And don't say a word
Before it's over
Can you
Just close your eyes
For me
Tonight

Just like a bird
You give me wings
Just like a star
You make me sing

It's unbelieveable
What you can do to me
And indescribable
How happy I can be
And I can't go on forever
Without us being together

Right now
Just close your eyes
And don't say a word
Before it's over
Can you
Just close your eyes
For me
Tonight
Right now
Just close your eyes
And don't say a word
Before it's over
Right now
Just hold me tight
And forget everything
Tonight
Right now
Don't think at all
I'll be here when you need me
To catch you when you fall

Right now
Just close your eyes
And don't say a word
Before it's over
Can you
Just close your eyes
For me
Tonight

Right now
Just close your eyes
And don't say a word
Before it's over
Can you
Just close your eyes
For me
Tonight

Right now
Just close your eyes
And don't say a word
Before it's over
Can you
Just close your eyes
For me
Tonight

Word Is Out

Written: stock waterman
Intro:
Ooh yeah
Now word is out
The word is out
Innocence
Word is out
Over town
Now the word is out
Word is out
Now the word is out
The word is out
1:
Youre clinging to a lie
Still you hope to try
And save your face, ooh
Its a no-win situation
There aint gonna be a saving grace
Because youre sticking to a story
It really makes no sense
No judge or jury could ignore the evidence
Chorus:
Because the word is out
I cant go on believing in your innocence
Now the word is out (the word is out)
The word is out
You cant go on pretending
Its all over town
Now the word is out (the word is out)
2:
Aint but one redeeming feature
So you may as well accept your fate
(accept your fate), ooh
You cant wriggle out of this, its gone too far
Its much too late (its much too late)
But its funny my suspicions lead me to the lie
From the friend of a so-called friend
I heard about your double life
Chorus:
Ooh yeah
Because the word is out
Cant go on pretending
Innocence
The word is out
The word is out
Yeah
Over town
Now the word is out (the word is out)
Its all over town
Chorus:
(repeat & fade)

Word of love and the Word made flesh
Word incarnate forever blessed
Word of life and the Word of light
Word of power and Word of might.

Word that was spoken, Word of the Lord
Word of the Law and the Word of God
Word of peace and Word eternal
Word of truth and last Word of all.

Word of wisdom and the Word of healing
Word from heaven, a Word so appealing
Word fulfilling the Word of prophecy
Word of the Spirit and Word of destiny.

Word of exhortation and Word of grace
Word of encouragement and Word of faith
Word of promise and a Word of insight
Word from the beginning and Word of delight.

Word of knowledge and a Word of boldness
Word of peace and the Word of righteousness
Word of the covenant and Word of love
Word of the Father from heaven above.

The Word

Find the word, understand the word,
Depend on the word;
The word is heaven and space, the word the earth,
The word the universe.
The word is in our ears, the word is on our tongues,
The word the idol.
The word is the holy book, the word is harmony,
The word is music.
The word is magic, the word the Guru.
The word is the body, the word is the spirit, the word is being,
The word Not-being.
The word is man, the word is woman,
The Worshipped Great.
The word is the seen and unseen, the word is the existent
And the non-existent.
Know the word, says Kabir,
The word is All-powerful.

The Word I Say

A word is dead
until it's said.
And so I say
my word to you.
And what word is it
I say to you?
I have never had
to think it through.
For it has always been
the word I've said
and will say repeatedly
until I'm dead.

The word I say
is what I feel.
The word you hear
has sweet appeal.
So I give to you
the word I've heard
that always and ever
repeats in my being
like the song of a bird
that sings to its mate
and can't hold back
before it's too late
to hear.
That word is love,
my dear.

The Female Martyr

'BRING out your dead!' The midnight street
Heard and gave back the hoarse, low call;
Harsh fell the tread of hasty feet,
Glanced through the dark the coarse white sheet,
Her coffin and her pall.
'What--only one!' the brutal hack-man said,
As, with an oath, he spurned away the dead.

How sunk the inmost hearts of all,
As rolled that dead-cart slowly by,
With creaking wheel and harsh hoof-fall!
The dying turned him to the wall,
To hear it and to die!
Onward it rolled; while oft its driver stayed,
And hoarsely clamored, 'Ho! bring out your dead.'

It paused beside the burial-place;
'Toss in your load!' and it was done.
With quick hand and averted face,
Hastily to the grave's embrace
They cast them, one by one,
Stranger and friend, the evil and the just,
Together trodden in the churchyard dust.

And thou, young martyr! thou wast there;
No white-robed sisters round thee trod,
Nor holy hymn, nor funeral prayer
Rose through the damp and noisome air,
Giving thee to thy God;
Nor flower, nor cross, nor hallowed taper gave
Grace to the dead, and beauty to the grave!

Yet, gentle sufferer! there shall be,
In every heart of kindly feeling,
A rite as holy paid to thee
As if beneath the convent-tree
Thy sisterhood were kneeling,
At vesper hours, like sorrowing angels, keeping
Their tearful watch around thy place of sleeping.

For thou wast one in whom the light
Of Heaven's own love was kindled well;
Enduring with a martyr's might,
Through weary day and wakeful night,
Far more than words may tell
Gentle, and meek, and lowly, and unknown,
Thy mercies measured by thy God alone!

Where manly hearts were failing, where
The throngful street grew foul with death,
O high-souled martyr! thou wast there,
Inhaling, from the loathsome air,
Poison with every breath.
Yet shrinking not from offices of dread
For the wrung dying, and the unconscious dead.

And, where the sickly taper shed
Its light through vapors, damp, confined,
Hushed as a seraph's fell thy tread,
A new Electra by the bed
Of suffering human-kind!
Pointing the spirit, in its dark dismay,
To that pure hope which fadeth not away.

Innocent teacher of the high
And holy mysteries of Heaven!
How turned to thee each glazing eye,
In mute and awful sympathy,
As thy low prayers were given;
And the o'er-hovering Spoiler wore, the while,
An angel's features, a deliverer's smile!

A blessed task! and worthy one
Who, turning from the world, as thou,
Before life's pathway had begun
To leave its spring-time flower and sun,
Had sealed her early vow;
Giving to God her beauty and her youth,
Her pure affections and her guileless truth.

Earth may not claim thee. Nothing here
Could be for thee a meet reward;
Thine is a treasure far more dear
Eye hath not seen it, nor the ear
Of living mortal heard
The joys prepared, the promised bliss above,
The holy presence of Eternal Love!

Sleep on in peace. The earth has not
A nobler name than thine shall be.
The deeds by martial manhood wrought,
The lofty energies of thought,
The fire of poesy,
These have but frail and fading honors; thine
Shall Time unto Eternity consign.

Yea, and when thrones shall crumble down,
And human pride and grandeur fall,
The herald's line of long renown,
The mitre and the kingly crown,--
Perishing glories all!
The pure devotion of thy generous heart
Shall live in Heaven, of which it was a part.

The Face

You take a final look around
And then you put your house-key down
Upon the table by the note
You take your handbag and your coat
You don't want too much to carry
To slow you down on the way

You picture his face
In the morning
As he was going to work
Without saying a word
You saw the face
Of a stranger
It wasn't always like this before
His face like a stranger
You didn't know what to say
So you are going away
From the face of a stranger
And not the lover you knew before

Why should you want to call your friends
Why should you want to start again
You tried explaining through the years
But it would always end in tears
And one thing you know for certain
You've said goodbye to that place

But still
You picture his face
In the morning
As he was going to work
Without saying a word
You saw the face
Of a stranger
It wasn't always like this before
His face like a stranger
You didn't know what to say
So you are going away
From the face of a stranger
And not the lover you knew before

Somewhere a telephone
Is ringing in an empty room
Miles away
You are looking at a new town
But you are thinking of the past
The rain is falling down
Why do you keep that photograph

Of his face like a stranger
As he was going to work
Without saying a word
You saw the face
Of a stranger
And not the lover you knew before

His face
In the morning
As he was going to work
Without saying a word
You saw the face

Lies, Lies, Lies

[verse 1]
I see you coming through the door
Creepin
Its a quarter past four
And
I smell the scent of cheap perfume
Who is she?
You step in the room
With a guilty look upon your face
Busted
And you started to say
but really baby I can explain
Save your breath
Ive got something to say
[chorus:]
Every word you say is
Lies, lies, lies
And now Im leaving you, so
Bye, bye, bye
And I cant take no more of this
Cry, cry, cryin
You know that you aint @#%$
With your
Lies, lies, lies
Ohhhhh
[verse 2]
Dont bother to apologize
Its too late
Ive heard it all before
And
This should come as no surprise
Im leaving
Ive packed my things
Cause Im through with this merry go around
Im getting off
Ive finally found
My strength waiting down
I should have left your @#%$
After the first round
Ohhhh
[chorus:]
Every word you say is
Lies, lies, lies
And now Im leaving you, so
Bye, bye, bye
And I cant take no more of this
Cry, cry, cryin
You know that you aint @#%$
With your
Lies, lies, lies
Please, please
Oh please
[laughs]
Yeah
What you goin do?
Tell your boys
All how you got over again?
Yeah right
Get off your knees
Oh, baby, please
Go ahead and tell the truth
Yeah
You know what
You see this fire in my eyes
Its all because of you
All you do is lie
[chorus:]
Every word you say is
Lies, lies, lies (goodbye, yeah. whooo)
And now Im leaving you, so
Bye, bye, bye (leaving you, leaving you, ohhh)
And I cant take no more of this
Cry, cry, cryin (too many tears over the years)
You know that you aint @#%$
With your
Lies, lies, lies (every little word you say is driving me crazy, insane)
Every word you say is (why lie? )
Lies, lies, lies
And now Im leaving you, so (bye, bye)
Bye, bye, bye
And I cant take no more of this
Cry, cry, cryin
You know that you aint @#%$
With your
Lies, lies, lies (you aint @#%$ with your li, li, li, li, lies)
[revamp:]
Li, li, lies, lies
Whooo
Lies
Li, li, lies, lies

Gethsemane Miracle!

Alone He walked for private prayer, disciples holding fast,
Christ's countenance that of despair, His hour had come at last.
Gethsemane was quiet now, as twilight there encroached,
As Christ's head bore a bloodied brow, temptation thus approached.
And there were whispers in His mind that matched His fearful heart,
Perhaps the Cross of Christ to find, perhaps chance to depart.
Was there still hope? Or some way out? Was there escape for Him?
Or was there now no single doubt, God's cup filled to the brim?

Lord Jesus prayed as trembling hands conveyed His weakened state,
Obedience to God's commands or some new twist of fate?
Three times to pray the cup might pass, in case God chose this path,
Three times and each with mercy scarce, one choice, Christ's epitaph.
And then an angel there appeared to strengthen Christ with faith,
Convincing Him that though death neared, Christ only Man could save.
For that one angel, give God praise, he helped the Lord stay true,
For blessed is He who still obeys and sees salvation through.

Who knows what words were said that night as Jesus stood His ground?
For courage came instead of fright, with God's grace all around.
And though disciples slept nearby, fatigued by all they'd done,
The Saviour's faith was flying high, like eagles 'neath the sun.
He groaned that they no angel saw, that blessing they had missed!
Then came the traitor to the fore and he, Christ's cheek had kissed.
The hour here, the Lord stood still, no coward soul was He,
Because He climbed up Calvary's hill, the rest is history.

The time will come, when each is called to give the Lord account,
Of each word spoken, typed or scrawled, of great and small amount.
Yet if we saw an angel here, like Jesus did that time,
Perhaps we'd find bold faith not fear and lives would be sublime.
Behind the scenes, a war is waged, as good and evil fight,
If evil makes you so enraged, then fight with all your might.
To think, that angels visit Earth, to think that one helped Christ.
And though unnamed, each one has worth, more than we've realised...

Who's Business Anyway's

If looks could kill with a silent smirk.

Air the laundry, a peace of work.

Do on to others as on to you.

Screw you first, tighten the screw.

Fate has no furry like a woman scorned,

take my word you were warned.

So do tread lightly on thin ice, I warned you once,

I warned you twice.

Cast a stone a glass house shatter, My business not

yours what does it matter?

Keep your nose out got nothing to say, or evil eye I will

give away!

Will come back three times you will pay, will wait for fate to reveal that day.

With words of hurt that are spoken, curses cast, cannot be broken.

Wish you best for the worst, with desert sands die of thirst.

Keep talking shit and hurt for me,

You will get your's just wait and see.
