The Mock Self

Few friends are mine, though many wights there be
Who, meeting oft a phantasm that makes claim
To be myself, and hath my face and name,
And whose thin fraud I wink at privily,
Account this light impostor very me.
What boots it undeceive them, and proclaim
Myself myself, and whelm this cheat with shame?
I care not, so he leave my true self free,
Impose not on me also; but alas!
I too, at fault, bewildered, sometimes take
Him for myself, and far from mine own sight,
Torpid, indifferent, doth mine own self pass;
And yet anon leaps suddenly awake,
And spurns the gibbering mime into the night.

Mine All Mine

Forgive me father
For I have sinned
Ive been through hell and back again
Shook hands with the devil
Looked him in the eye
Looked like a long lost friend
Anything you want
Any dirty deeds
Hes got everything
Except what I really need
Keepin me temporarily satisfied
But not one thing I tried
Filled me up inside
Or felt like mine
Mine, all mine
Yeah, the search goes on
The more I look
My world keeps getting smaller
Staring at the sun
Searchin for the light
Almost ended up blinded
Some only see
What they want to see
Claiming victory
Oh, but thats not me
Give me truth
Give me something real
I just want to feel
Like its
Mine, all mine
Oh really mine, all mine
Come on give me something
Something thats mine, all mine, all mine
Mine, all mine
All the words on the wall
Look the same in the mirror
Every riddle
Every clue
You got allah in the east
You got jesus in the west
Christ, whats a man to do?
Theyll find a cure for anything
Just kill the pain
Numb my brain
We see a man
Speaking the word of god
Provin to be a fraud
His own church applauds
Stop lookin out
Start lookin in
Be your own best friend
Stand up and say
Hey! this is mine
All mine, all mine, all mine
Baby, you got something
And I got something
And its mine, all mine, all mine
Mine, all mine
Mine, all mine
Yes, Im searching
Mine, all mine
Got to have it
Mine, all mine
Mine, all mine

Luci In The Sky With Demons

I'll spread me open, stuck to my ribs
Are all your infants in abortion cribs
You run like roaches, and you try to die
I know your poison, in our space we'll lie
To an obscene god we will dance and spit
The skin is thin, in our beds we sit
We take off our rings and we kneel
Our scabbed knees are so slow to heal
Stretch a little boy hole
For looking-glass people
I don't want to be me
I don't want to fear, no
Momma's got a scarecrow
Got to let the corn grow
A man can't always reap what he sows
(Cut, cut, cut in pantomime, mime, mime
I'll be your devil if you'll admit you're mine)
Leave yourself to be ultra-here
The chill of fall is always crawling near
Spiders in the flowers
Never know their smell
The barbers here know secrets
They will never tell
(Cut, cut, cut in pantomime, mime, mime
I'll be your devil if you'll admit you're mine

The Package

Clever got me this far
Then tricky got me in
Eye on what I'm after
I don't need another friend
Smile and drop the cliche
'Till you think I'm listening
I take just what I came for
Then I'm out the door again
Peripheral on the package
Don't care to settle in
Time to feed the monster
I don't need another friend
Comfort is a mystery
Crawling out of my own skin
Just give me what I came for, then I'm out the door again
Lie to get what I came for
Lie to get just what I need
Lie to get what I crave
Lie and smile to get what's mine
Eye on what I'm after
I don't need another friend
Nod and watch your lips move
If you need me to pretend
Because clever got me this far
Then tricky got me in
I'll take just what I came for
Then I'm out the door again
Lie to get what I came for
Lie to get what I need now
Lie to get what I'm craving
Lie and smile to get what's mine
Give this to me
Mine, mine, mine
Take what's mine
Mine, mine, mine
Take what's mine
Mine, mine, mine
Lie to get what I came for
Lie to get what I need now
Lie to get what I crave
Lie to smile and get what's mine
Give this to me
Take what's mine
Mine, mine, mine
Take what's mine
Give this to me
Take what's mine, take what's mine, mine...
Take what's mine, take what's mine, take what's mine,
This is mine, mine, mine, not mine

Sonnet 113: Since I left you, mine eye is in my mind

Since I left you, mine eye is in my mind,
And that which governs me to go about
Doth part his function, and is partly blind,
Seems seeing, but effectually is out;
For it no form delivers to the heart
Of bird, of flower, or shape which it doth latch;
Of his quick objects hath the mind no part,
Nor his own vision holds what it doth catch;
For if it see the rud'st or gentlest sight,
The most sweet-favour or deformed'st creature,
The mountain or the sea, the day or night,
The crow or dove, it shapes them to your feature.
Incapable of more, replete with you,
My most true mind thus maketh mine untrue.

The Genesis Of My Tears

Time doth pass, yet, in this place, my heart stays-
I shall knoweth true, your grace, one of these days!
You may not hear my mournful call to you, each and every night,
Know still my precious Angel, I shall again have you within my sight!

No matter of impediment, no means of quasi-official bias,
Shall keepeth thee from thine own thoughts, alas, they do try us!
Many a sorrowful, solitary nox, I have wept, for thee
To be within my humbled sight, and near to me-
Sikerly, still I shall, for all nights yet to come,
Until such time as this 'scourge' shall succumb
To mine own heart's dogged persistence
And mine own faith's steadfast resistance
To what is now, and has been for years-
The cause of my heartache and genesis of my tears!
Not doth there exist, a reason, nor any rhyme
To have taken from us, all this precious time-
Many loathsome ones have been causal, this heartache,
Many still, shall stand witness-my will shan't ever break!

One cause, one single-minded purpose, have I,
One of far more import than could I explicate, or even try-
For, mine own heart was ripped, nearly to shred
Upon that woeful day, when honor lay, nearly dead-
Yet, arise hath it, from the proverbial ashes, indeed stronger,
To wage a righteous battle, ne'er caring for how much longer-
Know this my beloved: nothing, nor anyone may find success
Should they come betwixt me and what is your loveliness-
I shall endeavor, if need be, until my last, dying breath,
To put, once and for all-for evermore, this iniquity, to death!

Unexpressed

DEEP in my heart that aches with the repression,
And strives with plenitude of bitter pain,
There lives a thought that clamors for expression,
And spends its undelivered force in vain.
What boots it that some other may have thought it?
The right of thoughts' expression is divine;
The price of pain I pay for it has bought it,
I care not who lays claim to it — 't is mine!
And yet not mine until it be delivered;
The manner of its birth shall prove the test.
Alas, alas, my rock of pride is shivered —
I beat my brow — the thought still unexpressed.

When U Were Mine

When you were mine- I gave you all of my money
Time after time - You done me wrong
It was just like a dream
You let all my friends come over and meet
And you were so strange
You didn't have the decency to change the sheets
Oh girl, when you were mine
I used to let you wear all my clothes
You were so fine (so fine)
Maybe that's the reason
That it hurt me so
I know (I know) - That you're going with another guy
I don't care (don't care) - Cuz I love u, baby, that's no lie
I love you more than I did
When you were mine - When you were mine
You were kinda sorta my best friend
So I was blind (so blind) - I let you fool around
I never cared (didn't care)
I never was the kind to make a fuss
When he was there - Sleeping inbetween the two of us
I know (I know) - That you're going with another guy
I don't care (don't care)
Cuz I love you, baby, that's no lie
I love you more than I did
When you were mine - When you were mine
U were all I ever wanted to do
Now I spend my time
Following him whenever he's with you
I know (I know)
That you're going with another guy
I don't care (don't care)
Cuz I love you, baby, that's no lie
I love you more that I did
When you were mine
When you were mine, yeah, oh no
Love you, baby - Love you, baby
When you were mine

All thru' the night i me mine, i me mine, i me mine.
Now they're frightened of leaving it
Ev'ryone's weaving it,
Coming on strong all the time,
All thru' the day i me mine.
I-me-me mine, i-me-me mine,
I-me-me mine, i-me-me mine.
All i can hear i me mine, i me mine, i me mine.
Even those tears i me mine, i me mine, i me mine.
No-one's frightened of playing it
Ev'ryone's saying it,
Flowing more freely than wine,

You'll Be Mine

Well darling all the night
You'll be mine and i know
You'll be mine
Till you die
You'll be mine
And so all the night
You'll be mine
You'll be mine
And the stars
Always shine
You'll be mine
Oh
My darling, when you burnt
That toast the other morning
I, i looked into you eyes and
I could see that national health eyeball
And i love you, like i've never done,
Like i've never done before!
Oh darling
In your eyes
And you'll be mine
You will be mine
You'll be mine
At the star and so
You'll be mine

Say Its All Mine

Well I know its over
Like a waste of mind
Well I know its side ball
I cant seem to find
Like a waste of someone
Like a wasted home
Well I know its over
I know its over long
Did you ever slip inside my ozone
I saw it in my eyes
Ever slip into me baby?
And I know its mine
I gotta say its all mine
With so low
Well I know its not mine
With so much
Well I say its all mine
With so low
And I know its not mine
Well its solace baby
I saw the face of mine
You took my hand and held on
For the longest time
I was always looking to be the one for you
It could have been so perfect
If I still lied at you
And I want to scream inside you no-one
Did you ever look at me
I saw a place where I was open
Now it will die mine
I gotta say its all mine
When no man
When I know its not mine
With so much
When Im faking the lies
With so low
I gotta say its all mine
Gotta say its all mine
Wanna say its all mine
Gonna say its all mine
It was so good
It was so good
It was so good
It was so good
It was so good
It was so good
It was so mine
I gotta say its all mine
With so low
When I know its not mine
Its over
And I can face it no lie
With so much
Well I know its not mine
With so low
I know its not mine
With so much
I gotta face its a lie
With so low
I know its not mine
With so far
I gotta place its a lie
It was so good
So good
Say its so good
Say its so good
Say its so good
Say its so good

Sonnet 62: Sin of self-love possesseth all mine eye

Sin of self-love possesseth all mine eye,
And all my soul, and all my every part;
And for this sin there is no remedy,
It is so grounded inward in my heart.
Methinks no face so gracious is as mine,
No shape so true, no truth of such account;
And for my self mine own worth do define,
As I all other in all worths surmount.
But when my glass shows me myself indeed
Beated and chapped with tanned antiquity,
Mine own self-love quite contrary I read;
Self so self-loving were iniquity.
'Tis thee, myself, that for my self I praise,
Painting my age with beauty of thy days.

War Babies

See the white clouds roll in
Spirits lying next to me
Catch the wildflower falling
Its the wound that never bleeds
Hear the sirens calling
Spinning out their show
Hold - the moment close to me
Take it down too slow
Be mine, be mine, war babies
Be mine, be mine, war babies
Can you still keep going?
Shattered pieces left inside
To face the final, knowing
That theres somethings you cant hide
Be mine, be mine, war babies
Be mine, be mine, war babies
So will the force let go?
Or will the phantoms stay?
Let the foreteller be your sight
- it feels like somethings happening today
Some shames like no other
And nothing feels the same
Nothing feels the same
War babies
Be mine, be mine, war babies
Nothing feels the same
War babies
War babies
Nothing feels the same
Be mine
Be mine
War babies

Met a woman, she had a man
Couldnt help it, I had a plan
Right around midnight he was gone
Saw her red light, she left it on
(chorus)
And oh, my hearts done time
And oh, now shes mine
If theres a reason for these chains
Its like we suffer to ease the pain
Now I got this feelin inside of me
My hearts in jail and I cant break free

Now shes mine
Now shes mine

Sonnet 104: Envious wits

Envious wits, what hath been mine offense,
That with such poisonous care my looks you mark,
That to each word, nay sigh of mine you hark,
As grudging me my sorrow's eloquence?

Ah, is it not enough that I am thence?
Thence, so far thence, that scarcely any spark
Of comfort dare come to this dungeon dark,
Where rigorous exile locks up all my sense?

But if I by a happy window pass,
If I but stars upon mine armor bear
--Sick, thirsty, glad (though but of empty glass):

Your moral notes straight my hid meaning tear
From out my ribs, and puffing prove that I
Do Stella love. Fools, who doth it deny?

If You Were Mine

I see waht he's doin to you
And it hurts me so
I wish I could steal you away
But you just won't go
Somethin's holdin you close to him
Somethin I can't see
But come that day that you've had enough
I pray you come running to me
Coz if you were mine
You'd know how good love could be
And if you were mine
I'd love you eternally
If you were mine

Every time I see your face
It lights up my day
But I watch you passin me by
And my sky turns grey
Maybe someday you're gonna see
I'm the one for you
Till then I'll just have to wait
For my dreams to come true
Coz if you were mine
You'd know how good love could be
And if you were mine
I'd love you eternally
If you were mine

My friends keep on tellin me let it go
But what I feel they'll never know
I can't stop my heart beatin so strong for you
But you're with him and not with me
Baby it's as sad as it can be

I've Got Mine (extended Version)

I can take the pressure here
I don't walk the streets in fear
I'm taller than I was last year
'cause I've got mine
What ya want? I've got mine!
What ya want? I've got mine!
No-one is gonna take from me
Frame me or my family
'cause if they do it's plain to see
that they'll get waste
What ya want? I've got mine!
What ya want? I've got mine!
So if you want the same as me
a feeling of security
Then I've got something you should see
You can get one
What ya want? I've got mine!
What ya want? I've got mine!
What ya want? I've got mine!

Sonnet 46

Mine eye and heart are at a mortal war,
How to divide the conquest of thy sight;
Mine eye my heart thy picture's sight would bar,
My heart mine eye the freedom of that right.
My heart doth plead that thou in him dost lie,
A closet never pierced with crystal eyes,
But the defendant doth that plea deny,
And says in him thy fair appearance lies.
To 'cide this title is impannelled
A quest of thoughts, all tenants to the heart;
And by their verdict is determined
The clear eye's moiety, and the dear heart's part:
As thus: mine eye's due is thine outward part,
And my heart's right, thine inward love of heart.

Thee

Thy sun is the hope of mine cold day,
Thy rain of tears the hope of mine arid desert
To thee I hope, to thee I pray
My soul's anguish for thee to comfort
Thy carmine rose leaf's the beauty of mine hurt
Thy delicious breathe, mine soul's fresh air
With thy power mine mind doth flirt
And thy life, mine life's only care.
Thy dew mine soul's most precious treasure
Thy bodies heat, mine bodies fire place
In thy freedom, mine soul's lonely leisure
Thy bodies shape, mine eye's holy grace
Mysterious art thou, none shall ever know it
But thou art and the muse of this poet
