An Unwritten Tragedy

Ho, ye that thirst beside the running stream!
Love is a running stream, whose waters flow
Upon the earth, and who would drink thereof
Must bend him earthwards. There was such an one
Who lay upon his belly in the mire
And was not ashamed. Because he deemed it well
That love, which is the strength of weaker things,
Should make of Man a child. And, while he lay
And summer winds were drowsing in his ears,
The river of his love went rippling by.

And thus he lived, and thus he might have died,
Deaf to his fellows' scorn, and held it gain
To lie a living corse unburied there
Among the reeds of Time and hidden in
From the world's stare. But Fate was watching him
With envious eyes; and he had merited
In truth much retribution at her hand.
--Alas that I should have such spite to tell!
She took her vengeance at the fountain head,
And made a desolation in the land.

And how he dreamed and half outwitted Fate,
Because his mind was single in his love;
And how she took the pitiless winds in pay
And set a wrack of clouds upon their back;
And how, because she could not master him,
She turned the waters of his love away;
And how that man arose up from his lair,
Foul with the ooze and with a beard grown grey
Through his long shame; and how he turned and fled
From the sun's face to dwell among the tombs,

I would relate. And, if in simple words
How some have learned the nakedness of truth,
The carelessness of God, Man's cruelty
And their own folly, it would be a tale
To chill the lust of Youth and bend the knees
Of Manhood's pride before the strength of Fate
Which conquers all;--And this I think would be
The sum of human tragedy on Earth.
--But who am I to stay the wings of Death
And pluck a feather out and write such things?

Nashville

As I drive
From your pearly gates
I realize that I just cant stay
All those mountains
They kept you locked inside
And hid the truth
From my slighted eyes
I came to you with a half-open heart
Dreams upon my back
Illusions of a brand new start
Nashville
Cant I carry the load
Is it my fault that
I cant reap what I sow
Nashville
Did you give me half a chance
With your southern style
And your hidden dance away
You dance away
And you dance away
All these voices
They whisper through my walls
They talk of falling fast
They say Im losing it all
They say Im running blind
To love of my own
But Ill be walking proud
Im saving what I still own
I fell on my knees to kiss your land
But you are so far down
And I cant even see to stand
In nashville
You forgot the human race
You see with half a mind
What colors hide the face
Nashville
Id like to know your fate
Id like to stay a while
But Ive seen your lowered states today
Ive seen em today
Honey I swear Ive seen em today
Now Im leaving
Ive got all these debts to pay
You know we all have our dues
Ill pay em some other place
Ah I never ask that you pay me back
We all arrive with more
I left with less than I had
Your town is made for people passing through
A last chance for a cause
I thought I knew
But nashville
You tell me what you are gonna do
With all your southern style
Itll never pull you through
Nashville
I cant place no blame
But if you forget my face
Ill never call your name again
No never again
No never again
I fell on my knees to kiss your land
But you are so far down
And I cant even see to stand
In nashville
You forgot the human race
You see with half a mind
What colors hide the face
Nashville
Id like to know your fate
Id like to stay a while
But Ive seen your lowered states today
Ive seen em today
Honey I swear Ive seen em today

Im running Im running
Im running away

Depression To Faith

I see now that I can no longer cope
I finally reached the end of my rope.
All my life I’ve been the provider
Now I feel like I’m the outsider.
Looking in To the way life used to be
When I was happy and care free.

Now I am under so much stress
I think it’s time- that I rest.
I’ve always been the one to talk
About love, hope, and faith
Now I can no longer relate.

What makes us get to a point so low
That you have no where s to go.

When the apostles were crossing the lake
And the winds and rains came and they were sinking
They awoke JESUS saying
Master, master, - we are sinking.

Then JESUS calmed the waters and
the winds, and the rains
They just stood in wonder and felt so ashamed.
As he asked: where is your faith?

Now I stand here - ashamed of all my fears
For he is by my side to wipe away my tears.
My faith has always been my foundation
My heart, my soul, my inspiration.
Now I am growing weak
And the lords strength I do seek.

Without faith - all hope is gone
But the strength of your love lingers on.
So here I apply all that you’ve given
Because you make life worth living.

Derelict

In younger days, of idleness grown sick,
On this low bank I saw, as in a dream,
The fingers of the leaning willows prick
Long dimples in the slow, reluctant stream.
Watching the pilgrim leaves forsake the stem,
Impatient of the dull familiar cove,
And idle down the tide, I longed like them,
Untrammelled, homeless, free of heart, to rove.

I mind me that of these I noted one
That at the bend a wayward eddy turned
And drifted back, its journey just begun,
The secret of the wider stream unlearned.
It seemed a poor reward for one so bold,
Checked at the start, and beaten back, to find
So stale a death. I did not know, of old,
What seemed so hard could be in truth so kind!

I little thought that on a larger stream
I, too, one day should drift away at will
Toward the distant reaches of my dream
From the safe shelter where I lived so still.
I little thought that I should one day grow
Weary of endless pictures filing past,
Of idle life and idler love, and so
Come gladly to some little cove at last.

Kind eddy that has caught me from the tide,
Of drifting weary, tempest-torn and tost,
To find, from the swift current turned aside,
The simpler things I thought that I had lost!
What have they brought me, all the wasted years,
The river’s turns that opened with a smile
And ended in the bitterness of tears?
Kind God! How little were they worth the while!

Yet, here and there, around the sudden bends,
The opening reaches held some sweet surprise:—
My arm has linked and lingered in a friend’s,
My eyes have seen love swim in lovely eyes!
I have kissed pleasure—walked alone with pain;
And, if to life I was apprentice made,
My years of toil have brought the toiler’s gain—
By life equipped, of life I know the trade!

I have made foes, and so can keep a friend;
Learned of a friend how gently foes may score;
Played fast and loose with love, and in the end
Lost it, and, losing, learned to love the more!
Seeking for gifts, I found ’t is joy to give,
Searching for truth, was taught to know a lie;
Pursuing death, I learned ’t is good to live,
In quest of life, I learned it safe to die!

What were it better that the past should be
Than like that leaf, turned helplessly aside,
That drifted back beneath its mother-tree,
And at its root to purer purpose died?
Another year yet other leaves there sprung,
Fed by the mould of which it formed a part,
That subtly heard, mayhap, that voiceless tongue
And laid its lesson silently to heart.

From soil of pride the plant of meekness grows,
From labor’s mine comes gold of sweet surcease;
By sorrow’s showers is fed contentment’s rose,
And passion’s vultures build the nest of peace:
So from past weakness future strength I gain,
As poise of knowledge to my doubt succeeds,
And faith’s fresh flower, that long I sought in vain,
Blooms on the rubbish of my mouldered creeds.

Now at the end I see that it was well
To drain the cup down to the bitter lees;
To foretaste heaven—thread the paths of hell,
Else empty words and meaningless were these:
Else might I stand, as once I stood outside
My fast-locked heart, its best and worst unknown,
Till life’s firm hand flung the barred portals wide
And led me in, a stranger, to my own!

Long Ago

I loved a maiden, long ago,
She held within her hand my fate;
And in the ruddy sunset glow
We lingered at the garden gate.

The splendor of the western skies
Lay in a halo on her hair.
I gazed with worship in her eyes,
And deemed her true and knew her fair.

'Good night,' I said, and turned away;
She held me with her subtle smile.
I saw her red lips whisper 'stay,'
And so I lingered yet awhile.

'I love you, love you, sweet!' I said,
She laughed, and whispered, 'I love you.'
I kissed her small mouth, ripe and red,
And knew her fair, and deemed her true.

'Twas very, very long ago,
And I was young, and so was she;
My faith as love was strong, for oh!
The maid was all the world to me.

But as the sunset died away
And left the heavens cold and blue,
So died my dream of love one day.
The maid was only fair,
not
true.

Winds Of Summer

WINDS OF SUMMER

Just out of the winds of summer
Came forth a being so sweet and tender.
With a smile that brought forth a stream
Flowing with pure love thus radiant.

Winds of summer blow forth forever
For the love you bring lives on forever.
Winds of summer, winds of love,
Me and my lover forever with each other.

Just out of the winds of summer
Our love grew into a hot flowing lava.
Like little angels we played and laughed at each other.
For the moment those winds of summer came
They carried us in their wings.

I love to leave you like this...

I love to leave you like this...
laughing at, mocking my love life
the love I labor so much to live it
the way I choose to
Not that I ignored the existence other forms
which lead me to fight the flames of temptation
for not in utter nakedness we come to this world
but on trailing clouds of glory
that love and strength nourish us along
to protect our fate from falling grace
save our life from dropping as a leaf
or shed like the rain

I would leave you at your street corner
in any form or way
except the one I really hate to see you in
I would leave you at any time of the day
as long as your spirit be a win
When you suffer grief and pain
It is hard to part or meet again
So laugh my flower, rejoice my spirit
join the winds that woo the woods
and makes scorn of my love
Then, dearest child, move along the shades
of purity, in gentleness of heart, with gentle hand
Touch, for there is a spirit in the woods

I Have Loved You

Remember that blue crystal sky
The sun reflected in your eyes
Kissed me unexpectedly
A moment I just can't forget
We filled the air with promises
Took them up so tenderly
But life never asks you what you want
It's just gonna have its way
Sometimes it doesn't give like it takes
If I never see your face
If wings take you away from me
And tomorrow never happens, baby
If the world comes tumbling down
And crumbles all around us
Fate turns cruel
You're on your knees
So desperate for one truth
Know that I have loved you
Don't think I'll write another letter
Watching there the pink sunset
Without thinking about you
I take a walk along the blue seaside
How will I sleep at night
How will I wipe the tears from your eyes
If I never see your face
If wings take you away from me
And tomorrow never happens, baby
If the world comes tumbling down
And crumbles all around us
Fate turns cruel
You're on your knees
So desperate for one truth
Know that I have loved you
Without a single hesitation
Without thought or reservation
Baby, I'll be waiting
Even if I never see your face
And wings take you away from me
And tomorrow never happens, baby
If the world comes tumbling down
And crumbles all around us
Fate turns cruel
You're on your knees
So desperate for one truth
Know that I have loved you
I have loved you
If I never see your face
If wings take you away from me
With all my heart and all my soul
The world comes tumbling
And crumbling all around
I have loved you
If I never see your face
If wings take you away from me
I have loved you

Meaning Of Love

Love is created out of truth, honesty and kindness
It is not formed from lies, cheating and sadness,
Love is created by two and joined by GOD to make one
It is a pack that is made together, and life is the bond,
Love cannot be created, by cheating, deception or lies
That type of relationship would make any soul unwise,
Love is truth and honesty and doing the best for the other
Love is endless; and no one should try and put asunder,
Love is forgiveness, especially when we do err
It is not running away or ignoring, but to return with care,
Love is forever, it is not for one day or even a moment
It is the breath of fresh air, as that is by what love is meant,
Love is secrets and trusts, that will be kept till the end of time
Love is one, and also knowing what is yours is also mine,
Love is pride and joy, when your love is holding onto your hand
As of bragging of your love, so others too will understand,
Love is not shame or guilt of the one that you are with
As that is not love, but lust and pity, and a users myth,
Love is to stay together, through the good times and the bad
It is not to run away or hide, when you are tired, mad or sad,
Love is created by GOD, to keep two souls forever together
And never from that relationship could or would they sever,
Love is the the sun and stars, and the clouds that are above
As they are here to warm and show us, of ourselves and our love.

Equal Fate,

equal fate,
We equal this love with our fate,
Just for our love's fate,
And winds and wave's are destitute of words,
What is the alphabet of love?
The gods have set?
What babbling! , what delusion, !
When they see us love freely,

Man print's love,
My meaning has a letter,
Determinate, I know it is better,
This all this cumbrous,
If you are not around,
How long will I mourn?
I hesitated with you not around,
How odd that purple hue,
The royal in you,
Taketh me to the finer place,
Another lamentation of captivity,
You fret because you are not this and that,
But Iam here for our love's cry.

A Story

He loved her and he was untrue—
Untrue he was, let loved her still;
For out of nether darkness drew
The winds that lashed his wandering will.

She lived in joy all unaware,
In pain and joy his children bore,
While hidden spectres of despair
Drove him to love her more and more.

And when she knew the truth at last,
Suddenly she grew still and strange.
Her rag of haggard youth was cast
Upon the evil winds of change.

She heard, and could not understand;
She paled, and could not bloom again.
So bland death took her by the hand,
Looked in her eyes and made all plain,

Yes, wise death taught her all, and so,
Smiling once more, she kissed and passed.
And he, caught in life's overthrow,
Faced love and death alone at last.

At last, made strong by love and death,
He gave her truth for truth, and knew
Now she had won his perfect faith.
Dying, she doomed him to be true.

Sonnet LXXXI: Rest with your dream inside my dream

Already, you are mine. Rest with your dream inside my dream.
Love, grief, labour, must sleep now.
Night revolves on invisible wheels
and joined to me you are pure as sleeping amber.

No one else will sleep with my dream, love.
You will go we will go joined by the waters of time.
No other one will travel the shadows with me,
only you, eternal nature, eternal sun, eternal moon.

Already your hands have opened their delicate fists
and let fall, without direction, their gentle signs,
you eyes enclosing themselves like two grey wings,

while I follow the waters you bring that take me onwards:
night, Earth, winds weave their fate, and already,
not only am I not without you, I alone am your dream.

The Helmsman

LIKE one who meets a staggering blow,
The stout old ship doth reel,
And waters vast go seething past—
But will it last, this fearful blast,
On straining shroud and groaning mast,
O sailor at the wheel?

His face is smitten with the wind,
His cheeks are chilled with rain;
And you were right, his hair is white,
But eyes are calm and heart is light
He does not fear the strife to-night,
He knows the roaring main.

Ho, Sailor! Will to-morrow bring
The hours of pleasant rest?
An answer low—“I do not know,
The thunders grow and far winds blow,
But storms may come and storms may go—
Our God, He judgeth best!”

Now you are right, brave mariner,
But we are not like you;
We, used to shore, our fates deplore,
And fear the more when waters roar;
So few amongst us look before,
Or stop to think that Heaven is o’er—
Ah! what you say is true.

And those who go abroad in ships,
Who seldom see the land,
But sail and stray so far away,
Should trust and pray, for are not they,
When Darkness blinds them on their way,
All guided by God’s hand?

But you are wrinkled, grey and worn;
’Tis time you dwelt in peace!
Your prime is past; we fail so fast;
You may not last through every blast,
And, oh, ’tis fearful to be cast
Amongst the smothering seas!

Is there no absent face to love
That you must live alone?
If faith did fade, if friends betrayed,
And turned, and staid resolves you’d made,
Ah, still ’tis pleasant to be laid
Where you at least are known.

The answer slides betwixt our words—
“The season shines and glooms
On ship and strand, on sea and land,
But life must go and Time is spanned,
As well you know when out you stand
With Death amongst the tombs!

“It matters not to one so old
Who mourns when Fate comes round,
And one may sleep down in the deep
As well as those beneath the heap
That fifty stormy years will sweep
And trample to the ground.”

Your speech is wise, brave mariner,
And we would let you be;
You speak with truth, you strive to soothe;
But, oh, the wrecks of Love and Truth,
What say you to our tears for Youth
And Beauty drowned at sea?

“Oh, talk not of the Beauty lost,
Since first these decks I trod
The hopeless stare on faces fair,
The streaming, bare, dishevelled hair,
The wild despair, the sinking—where,
Oh where, oh where?— My God!”

It's Hard To Be Tender

it's hard to be tender
it's hard to stay open
when you're dizzy with anger
and your dreams have been broken
lying with you 'neath the sky
the country is so green in the light
loving you's the key to my survival
now, you have gone away
the skies turned grey
the rivers froze
I remember how you held me close
and I shiver
it's hard to be tender
it's hard to stay open
when the woods are on fire
and the river is frozen
swore on my knees as a child
never to forsake God above
never to betray the ones who love me
now, years have come and gone
I find the strength to carry on
but the blood that ran so fast and warm
has grown colder
now, my heart has turned to ice
is it just the price of growing older?
it's hard to be tender
but I'm tired of defending
I know that I love you
so I'll write my own ending

Love’s Likenings

He.
To what, love, shall I liken thee?
Thou, methinks, shalt firstly be
A blue flower with nodding bells
In the hollow of a tree.
When the wind blows wantonly,
Thou shalt ever shake thy head
At the idle tale he tells.
But at evening from the clover,
When the world is all abed,
And the noisy day is over,
And the birds have gone to rest,
In the darkness will I hover
Till thou bid me come to thee,
Till I creep into thy nest,
I thy long--expected lover,
I thy sweet, thy honey bee.
To what, love, shall I liken thee?
Tell me, love, what wouldst thou be?

She.
I would be a white cloud lying
In the bosom of the sky,
And at noon, when Earth is sighing
For the sun my fleeces hide,
I would bask in his bright eye,
Till he drew me up on high,
Till be took me for his bride.
Thou shalt be my sun to me.

Love, but I would be a well
In the sands of Araby,
So thyself wert a gazelle
Which must either drink or die.
Bend above me, love, and lo!
In my waters thou shalt spy
All that my heart cares to show,
Thy own face against the sky.

He.
To what more shall I liken thee?
Thou, my love, shalt lastly be
A clear silver--tonguèd brook
Running downwards to the Sea,
And the reeds shall seek to stay thee
Under every shaded nook,
And the pebbles shall waylay thee,
With their bald heads to dismay thee,
Till thy pretty face grows white,
Half in anger, half in fright.
See, thy troubles are forgot
In the still pool suddenly,
And a smile has found thee out,
Taking shape of thy delight,
Laughing, weeping, onward ever
Till thou join thyself to me,
For my love shall be the river.
Thou and I shall run together
Ever till we meet the Sea.

Life's Lesson Book

Life is a ponderous lesson-book, and Fate
The teacher. When I came to love's fair leaf
My teacher turned the page and bade me wait.
'Learn first,' she said, 'love's grief';
And o'er and o'er through many a long tomorrow
She kept me conning that sad page of sorrow.

Cruel the task; and yet it was not vain.
Now the great book of life I know by heart.
In that one lesson of love's loss and pain
Fate doth the whole impart.
For, by the depths of woe, the mind can measure
The beauteous unscaled summits of love's pleasure.

Now, with the book of life upon her knee,
Fate sits! the unread page of love's delight
By her firm hand is half concealed from me,
And half revealed to sight.
Ah Fate! be kind! so well I learned love's sorrow,
Give me its full delight to learn tomorrow.

Concrete

Dedicated to I.B. and K.L.

I rode with you in the city
and in my mind I was sleeping on his shoulder
the time to smile has passed for us
it’s gone, it’s but that doesn’t mean it’s over

I have said I loved
so many things, so many people in my life
my soul aches to this day to find
some truth inside those empty lies

but there are still the echoes
they travel through the alleys and bend
as we write in the concrete
love lies at the rainbow’s end

I walked with you on sidewalks
in places I had never seen
I trusted you with my heartfelt words,
my predictions, and my dreams

I have said I needed
so many things, so many people in my life
I hope that one day I will find
some truth hidden beneath the strife

and there are still the echoes
they travel through the alleys and bend
as we write in the concrete
love lies at the rainbow’s end

does nothing matter?
will nothing last?
can’t something be in the future
instead of in the past?
can’t I just breathe in
familiar air
in a familiar place
so I don’t have to wonder where?

there are still the echoes
they travel through the alleys and bend
as we write in the concrete
love lies at the rainbow’s end

can I hold on to anything?
are memories enough?
you write in the concrete
what is love?

Karma

I drop a stone into the ocean
Every choice another turn of the screw
Another wheel set in motion
With every single thing I do
Its there in the air that I breathe
Its in my whisper and scream
Inside everything I believe
And its all gonna come around someday
As the smallest stream runs to a river
And every river runs to the sea
So every little bit of love I give to another
You know that I believe it comes back to me
There is no absolution whether Im the garden or the rose
If I aint part of the solution, yeah you know how that goes
You can always leave but you bring it all back home someday
As the smallest stream runs to a river
And every river runs to the sea
So every little bit of love I give to another
You know that I believe it comes back to me
Every single thing I say, everyone that I betray
Any love that I take when I do not make it in return
Every thing I do and every time Ive been unfaithful too
All the things that I believe are lessons I must learn
As the smallest stream runs to a river
And every river runs to the sea
So every little bit of love I give to another
You know that I believe it comes back to me
As the smallest stream runs to a river
And every river runs to the sea
So every little bit of love I give to another
You know that I believe it comes back to me

What Has Love Become?

lust

lust without love

rape

lust with love

acceptable

love changes everything

Love

is love all we need?
does the world shun salvation
out of pride
to void the corny solution

debate it if you will

but, no

the world doesn't need love
it depends on it

without it
their would be no I, no you, no they

a hamster runs the wheel
and at the end of the day
he's still stuck in a cage
though we may pity his way of life

we are no different
we are all running without sight over the hill
never knowing what lies forward
perhaps it's just curiosity that drives us

no

it's love

love for ones self
love for ones wellbeing
love for the ones around us

oh boy love is all we need honey

but perhaps we don't know what love is

try this, replace all love
with money

the prostitution solution

truth of my words

Love Can Do

Who can say
Why she turned and walked away.
I cant see,
But shes gone away.
Sometimes love
Means we have to stand and fight.
Everybody runs,
Everybody hides,
No, this aint the movies,
Now its flesh and blood,
And this thing Im sure of,
Hey, little girl running out so fast,
Gotta stay put for love to last,
Why you gotta say
That love has gone away;
Its not like that.
Everybody hurts when the feelings fade,
If you want em back
You know you gotta stay,
(no running.)
No running.
Loves coming back,
Like only love can do.
Love can do
Things you never thought it could,
Mend a hurt so bad,
Make you feel so good.
Loves for fools
Wise enough to take a chance;
Hear the music girl,
Let me see you dance.
No, this aint the movies,
Now its give and take,
And its your heart at stake.
Hey, little girl running out so fast,
Gotta stay put for love to last,
Why you gotta say
That love has gone away;
Its not like that.
No....
Everybody hurts when the feelings fade,
If you want em back
You know you gotta stay,
(no running.)
No running.
Loves coming back,
Like only love can do.
(get outta my yard.)
Hey, little girl running out so fast,
Yeah, yeah,
Looking for the love youre sure will last.
Why do you have to say it?
Love has gone away;
Its not...like that.
Loves not like that.
Everybody hurts when the feelings fade,
If you want em back
You know you gotta stay,
(no running.)
No running.
Loves coming back,
Like only love can do.
Hey, little girl running out so fast,
Gotta stay put for love to last,
Why you gotta say
That love has gone away;
Its not like that.
(no, no, not like that.) no!
Everybody hurts when the feelings fade,
If you want em back
You know you gotta stay,
(no running.)
No running.
Loves coming back!
Hey, little girl running out so fast,
Gotta stay put for love to last,
Why you gotta say
That love has gone away;
Its not like that.
No? no!
Everybody hurts when the feelings fade,
If you want em back
You know you gotta stay,
(no running.)
No running.
Loves coming back, (owwww!)
Coming back to stay!
(oooooooooooooooh-oooooooooh-ooooooooooooooooh!)

How To Stay Positive!

Just how can we stay positive
In this old world of ours?
At times, the only hope is IF,
Yet IF is full of powers!
For IF has changed the world before
And it will do again,
Regardless of old Murphy's Law,
When God is guiding men...

IF God above looks down below
And sees what Mankind does,
You can't tell me He doesn't know
When we get in a fuss!
When things go wrong, turn upside down,
Turn inside out as well,
The Lord sees every single frown,
Such things we need not tell...

Yet IF we pray and ask His aid,
Repentant of our sins,
Forgiving when we've grown dismayed,
We'll sense God's love begins...
IF from then on, we read God's Word
And heed the Lord's advice,
His proverbs will be overheard
Such that we'll all think twice...

While all the storms of life persist
And doubts grow strength to strength,
IF holds the power, while in the midst,
To overcome at length...
IF we forsake the awesome grace,
We may deserve our fate,
Yet IF we gaze upon Christ's face,
We'll see He's truly great!

IF He's still on our side, dear friends,
Hold fast sister, brother!
For on the Lord each soul depends...
Comfort one another!
IF this old world still spins in space
According to God's Word,
Then pray you, too, will grow in grace,
IF grace is still preferred...

For worthy is the Lamb once slain!
What angel died for me?
Christ died my sin-stained soul to gain
And conquered Calvary!
IF God has proved Christ is His Son,
IF God in Him takes pride,
Stay positive in what He's done
As Christ was crucified!

The demons raged, yet each had lost,
Their fate awaits them all,
IF sinners know Christ paid the cost,
Let each one hear His call...
IF not, what hope? IF not, what love?
IF not, then sin has won...
Yet every time I look above,
I'm closer to God's Son...

And even IF I close my eyes,
He lives within my heart,
Christ's presence makes me realise
That living is an art...
IF we hold back, IF we give in,
IF we still lose our way,
The Lord remains our kith and kin,
No matter, come what may!

Just how can we stay positive
In this old world of ours?
At times, the only hope is IF,
Yet IF is full of powers!
For IF has changed the world before
And it will do again,
Regardless of old Murphy's Law,
When God is guiding men...
