Insensibility

I

Happy are men who yet before they are killed
Can let their veins run cold.
Whom no compassion fleers
Or makes their feet
Sore on the alleys cobbled with their brothers.
The front line withers,
But they are troops who fade, not flowers
For poets' tearful fooling:
Men, gaps for filling
Losses who might have fought
Longer; but no one bothers.

II

And some cease feeling
Even themselves or for themselves.
Dullness best solves
The tease and doubt of shelling,
And Chance's strange arithmetic
Comes simpler than the reckoning of their shilling.
They keep no check on Armies' decimation.

III

Happy are these who lose imagination:
They have enough to carry with ammunition.
Their spirit drags no pack.
Their old wounds save with cold can not more ache.
Having seen all things red,
Their eyes are rid
Of the hurt of the colour of blood for ever.
And terror's first constriction over,
Their hearts remain small drawn.
Their senses in some scorching cautery of battle
Now long since ironed,
Can laugh among the dying, unconcerned.

IV

Happy the soldier home, with not a notion
How somewhere, every dawn, some men attack,
And many sighs are drained.
Happy the lad whose mind was never trained:
His days are worth forgetting more than not.
He sings along the march
Which we march taciturn, because of dusk,
The long, forlorn, relentless trend
From larger day to huger night.

V

We wise, who with a thought besmirch
Blood over all our soul,
How should we see our task
But through his blunt and lashless eyes?
Alive, he is not vital overmuch;
Dying, not mortal overmuch;
Nor sad, nor proud,
Nor curious at all.
He cannot tell
Old men's placidity from his.

VI

But cursed are dullards whom no cannon stuns,
That they should be as stones.
Wretched are they, and mean
With paucity that never was simplicity.
By choice they made themselves immune
To pity and whatever mourns in man
Before the last sea and the hapless stars;
Whatever mourns when many leave these shores;
Whatever shares
The eternal reciprocity of tears.

I'm Only Happy When

I'm only happy when it rains
without a cloud in the sky
I'm only happy in these chains
all that I can do is cry
I'm only happy when I bleed
it let's me know I'm alive
I'm only happy when I need
just myself to survive
I'm only happy when I dream
of my long lost love
I'm only happy when I scream
at the Heavens above
I'm only happy when I'm alone
at war with my brain
I'm only happy when I've known
that life is just pain
I'm only happy when I'm lost
and I can't find my way
I'm only happy when I've crossed
the path of disarray
I'm only happy when I see
death is my way out
I know I'll be free
I have no doubt
I'm only happy when I'm told
that I've gone insane
I'm only happy when I hold
all these thoughts in my brain
I'm only happy when I sleep
and go out of my mind
I'm only happy when I'm in too deep
I'm only happy when it's me you cannot find

Oh Happy Days

Oh happy days,
Everyone likes you.

Oh happy days,
Please stay today.

Oh happy days,
Sweet like honey.

Oh happy days,
loving family ties.

Oh happy days,
Giving us strength.

Oh happy days,
Children out playing.

Oh happy days,
On the green grass.

Oh happy days,
With boundless optimism.

Oh happy days,
I give thanks.

Oh happy days,
Dreaming for more.

Oh happy days,
Warm and bright.

Oh happy days,
Like love eternal.

Oh happy days,
And glad memories.

Oh happy days,
New hope prayers.

Oh happy days,
With smiling faces.

Oh happy days,
Holidays and health.

Oh happy days,
With close friends.

Oh happy days,
Generous and giving.

Oh happy days,
Shiny rainbow dreams.

Oh happy days,
Till the very end.

Oh happy days,
Always and forever.

Amen.

Out Of The Sighs

Out of the sighs a little comes,
But not of grief, for I have knocked down that
Before the agony; the spirit grows,
Forgets, and cries;
A little comes, is tasted and found good;
All could not disappoint;
There must, be praised, some certainty,
If not of loving well, then not,
And that is true after perpetual defeat.

After such fighting as the weakest know,
There's more than dying;
Lose the great pains or stuff the wound,
He'll ache too long
Through no regret of leaving woman waiting
For her soldier stained with spilt words
That spill such acrid blood.

Were that enough, enough to ease the pain,
Feeling regret when this is wasted
That made me happy in the sun,
How much was happy while it lasted,
Were vagueness enough and the sweet lies plenty,
The hollow words could bear all suffering
And cure me of ills.

Were that enough, bone, blood, and sinew,
The twisted brain, the fair-formed loin,
Groping for matter under the dog's plate,
Man should be cured of distemper.
For all there is to give I offer:
Crumbs, barn, and halter.

It Makes Me Happy, To Be With You

It makes me happy, to be with you.
To watch you smile and hear you speak
and see your eyes turn softly warm,
makes me happy to be with you.
It makes me happy, to be with you.
To watch you spreading jam and butter
on your home made scones,
makes me happy to be with you.
It makes me happy, to be with you.
To be able to put my arms around you
and draw you gently close to me,
makes me happy to be with you.
And it makes me happy, to be with you
when holding your cheek close to mine,
breathing the warmth of you
and feeling the warmth of you
soaking quietly through me,
makes my breath tremble in my chest.
You make me happy to be with you.

I'm So Happy

(brenda russel/a. rich/chris difford)
What a sweet surprise
Can't believe my eyes
This has really made my day
It's so out of the blue
Runnin' in to you
That i just don't know what to say
It's so hard to forget the last time we met
How everything just went so wrong
I'm so happy to see you again
I'm so happy to see you again, yeah
Haven't been so happy
Since i don't know when to see you again
It does my heart good
Oh, you know i could
Just break down and cry
Always felt so bad
It still makes me sad for the way we said goodbye
Oh, but seeing you here brings it back so clear
We've been apart for too long
I'm so happy to see you again
I'm so happy to see you again, yeah
Haven't been so happy
Since i don't know when to see you again
I'm so happy now
But has another found a love that i let down
Love failed to recognize
And if you're still all alone
Well baby, come back home
And let's give it one more try
I'm so happy to see you again
I'm so happy to see you again, yeah
Haven't been so happy
Since i don't know, i don't know when to see you again
Ooh i'm so happy now
I'm so aah-aah-aah-aah-
I don't know when to see you again
To say it boy, you know, you know i'm so happy now
I'm so aah-aah-aah-aah-
I don't know when to see you again
Yeah, i'm so happy now

I, The Soldier

I killed a man today, did not know his name
I did not know his history, I am the one to blame
I searched his pocket for grenades and guns
Found a photo of his three little children having fun
His body is lying there still and cold, no breath of air
I look in his eyes, I am not allowed to ask if it's fair
But I have to be strong because I am a soldier at front
And I fight for my countrymen and I am a part of this man hunt

I am glad I am alive and I am longing to meet my wife
My child who must be waiting for me, they are my life
I wish I could hug them, cuddle them for eternity
Till I could feel the distance no more sneaking inside of me
But I have to be strong because I am a soldier at front
And I fight for my countrymen and I am a part of this man hunt

I have not seen my home for months and it is eating me inside
I have forgotten the taste of food and the looks of a butter knife
I am loaded with weapons and ammunitions push my shoulders down
But I have to walk, for my country, for my state, for my town
We don't sleep sound at night with the fears of confrontation
Now my rifle is my body part and bullets are my bourbon
But I have to be strong because I am a soldier at front
And I fight for my countrymen and I am a part of this man hunt

I don't want to kill anybody, it haunts me
At night I can feel their spirit, hallucinations I see
I look in the mirror and see only blood and corpses around
The cries of widows and orphans is the only sound
The nights are scary with in my sleep deprived eyes
The days are frightening trying to save what's left of my life
But I have to be strong because I am a soldier at front
And I fight for my countrymen and I am a part of this man hunt

I do this for my country but when I will be back
No one thanks me, there is no one to pat my back
They don't realize the nights I have lost so they could sleep
The wounds I have endured so that they could have treats
They don't see the picture, they are just happy for a movie
When hundred lost lives so that they can be free
I begin to wonder, if it is really overrated to be a soldier
The picture must be worth a thousand words and much bigger
I wonder who am I, what am I doing away from home, my home
But I fight, because I am a soldier, a protector of the prone
I am the righteous protecting what is right and worthy of dying for
I live for my family, I die for my country, my men, my corps.

Still Happy

Go ahead and break my heart
It won’t mend, but you’ll still be happy
Tear it out and rip it apart
It will sting, but it will make you happy

Make this hurt, and make me cry
All these tears will be to make you happy
On the inside I’ve already died
Died for love, to make you happy

Lie to me, you know the truth
I’ll believe to make you happy
Bury me in an abandoned tomb
I’ll lay and waste, but you’ll be happy

I don’t know what to say anymore
My words just can’t express how I feel
I don’t know what to do anymore
I can’t find a remedy; my wounds just will not heal

I’ve given this my all, just to try to bring you joy
But you continue to play with me, like I’m your little toy
But this little toy soldier is broken, and can no longer withstand
The task of such melancholy that you place in my hand

I still love you, and I’ll pray
I’ll pray to God that you’ll be happy
I’ll continue to soak in this acid rain
I’ll rot for you, just to make you happy

The Boy's Gone

The boy's gone. The boy's gone home.
What will happen to a face in the crowd when it finally gets too crowded.
And will happen to the origins of sound after all the sounds have sounded
Well I hope I never have to see that day but by god I know it's headed our way
So I better be happy now that the boy's going home. The boy's gone home.
And what becomes of a day for those who rage against it
And who will sum op the phrase for all left standing around in it
Well I suppose we'll all make our judgement call
We'll walk it alone, stand up tall, then march to the fall
So we better be happy now that we'll all go home.
Be so happy with the way you are
Be so happy that you made it this far
Go on be happy now. Please be happy now
Because this is something else
this is something else
I tried to live my life and live it so well
But when it's all over is it heaven or is it hell
I better be happy now that no one can tell, nobody knows
I'm gonna be happy with the way that I am
I'm gonna be happy with all that I stand for
I'm gonna be happy now because the boy's going home.
The boy's gone home.

The Things That Make Me Happy

When I see the Sun
The sun up in the sky
And when the rays they
They glisten off your eyes

And when your eyes
Yeah when your eyes meet mine

That’s the thing that
That’s the thing that makes me
Yeah that’s the thing that makes me happy

And when I wake up to
To a brand new day
When we back our bags and
We take off on our way
And when we lose track
When we lose track of time

That’s the thing that
That’s the thing that makes me
Yeah that’s the thing that makes me happy

And when the clock
Yeah when the clock strikes 5
I’m heading home to you
And I’m feeling so alive
And when I pull in
Yeah when I pull into your drive

That’s the thing that
That’s the thing that makes me
Yeah that’s the thing that me happy

And in the afternoon
When were feeling the warm breeze
And we can see it
Go brushing through the trees
It makes me feel so
It makes me feel so fancy free

And that’s the thing that
That’s the thing that makes me
Yeah that’s the thing that makes me happy

And when the music
Goes rolling through my mind
Songs that could bring
Eyesight to the blind
And when we sing
We sing along with all the words we find

That’s the thing that
That’s the thing that makes me
Yeah that’s the thing that makes me happy

Worth Dying For

Though you might not like who I am
You might even hate me to the core
But one thing I can tell you my brothers
Jesus said that I, was worth dying for.
As when they placed him upon the cross
And then nailed him onto that board
Jesus closed his eyes and spoke to GOD
And said that I, was worth dying for.
So now as I walked down any road
My soul is so happy and my heart is free
As I know that to myself that I am loved
And its by someone, that you cannot see.
I have sinned and been sinned upon
But that type of life I want it no more
As I live my life right, like the bible says
That's why Jesus said, I was worth dying for.
I live my life with a smile upon my face
And also with a happy song inside my heart
As I know that I am loved by GOD himself
And from him I could never or will ever part.
Now when I wake up each and every morning
As no one knows what in life is in store
But happy am I, as I enter each and every day
As I know Jesus said, that I was worth dying for.
So I sing my praise unto you my lord
As I thank you for what you’ve done for me
You gave me life and you gave me hope
And then you gratefully pointed out my destiny.
So this I tell you all my friends and my foes
As you wait or think from just the day before
Look at your life as you look into your soul,
And now think; were you worth dying for.

Happy... I Am So Happy!

Happy! ! I am so happy....
Yeah! it is raining!
I will drench in the rain today!
Happy... I am so happy..
The weather is so vital and cloudy..
Dark clods and ash in colour
It is drizzling...
Happy...I am so happy!
Oh! God please give more rain...
Raining is falling heavily...
Oh! raindrops fall into my heart!
Pure water from the sky!
Happy.. I am so happy!
The whole day I will wet in the rain!
Bye! Bye1
I will roam in the rain!
Happy... I am so happy..
I will dance in the rain..
Happy.. I am so happy
By the freshness of rain!

The Writer and The Soldier

The Writer and The Soldier
By
Tolly Rebeka Christian BlackWolf Hawk

The writer writes a sad lament for the love that he lost long
ago,
The soldier mourns the loss of a fellow slain long ago.
The writer has lead and ink on his hands,
The soldier has blood on his.
The writer can wash away the pigments and with them his
memory’s go, but the soldier can only wash the blood on his
skin; he can not wash the blood on his heart nor
The memory’s in his mind,
Burned into his mind with canon fire and the cries of
His falling comrades.
Oh,
When the two meet, they give to each other much needed gifts;
The writer gives the soldier understanding and a few happy
tales to think of when tears try to strike him down,
And the soldier gives the writer a new sad lament to write, and
a new meaning to the word friendship.

To A Woman Who Endured

Happy I am you no longer would be hungry
Happy your sacks today are laden with gifts
Happy the road to home no longer is weary
Happy all that has come to you pleasantly a lift
Happy of the time spent in outpouring prayers
Happy you no longer are weighed down nor bent
Happy times you dutifully waited and today the pay
Happy on your head a glorious crown, no not lent
Happy that in so doing, He did openly to all eyes to see
All people of good-will cling to you, a woman blessed
Happy you asked, He said He would, and did as He said
Now your footsteps, no longer Snowflakes tan: Blessed

Give Her The Sun

Give her sun and she’ll be happy,
I’d give her the moon and stars too,
Give her sun and she’ll be happy,
But I’m not tall or strong enough to.

I love your fingertips,
The way you touched me on my face and my lips,
Those dimples you have on your back,
Amaze me because I got dimples like that,
A smile that could make people stop and stare,
A smile at me to let me know that you care,
That you’re happy, that you’re glad,
Don’t ever stop smiling because I might think you’re sad.

Give her sun and she’ll be happy,
I’d give her the moon and stars too,
Give her sun and she’ll be happy,
But I’m not tall or strong enough to.

But all good things come to an end,
You weren’t happy and no longer could you pretend,
Sticks and stones can break my bones,
But those words you said really killed me,
My heart spilled enough blood to flood,
Flood my throat enough to choke,
Enough to soak this lad with nothing for brains.

As Scared As A Rabbit

on the outside i look happy as can be
i hop around with the looks of grace and beauty
i seem so small and cute a furball is what i am
on your side you see a happy being

but deep inside i think like this
i hide deep in my hole not willing to come out
i hide from the other creatures and put on a show

im just a small creature that has nothing to protect itself
sure i may smile on the outside and look happy
but on the inside im dying

so the next time you see a rabbit like me
realize they put up a front and we are not happy

As Long As You're Happy

Today i met a lonely girl
with a touch of magic
i've been waiting for someone like her
I'm so happy

She let's me know of her love
i give her all of mine
My Angel sent from above
i tell her all the time cause i'm so happy

Now what was once 2 lonely souls
tonight we sleep, arms in arms
i found someone to love and hold
i wonder if she's happy

Love is here, just in time
my dark world has begun to shine
wherever i go, i want her near
cause she's what makes me happy

How long will this love last?
still can't believe she's mine
So attractive with a past so tragic
i'll do anything for her just as long as she's happy

She seems to hold and kiss me less
i feel so cold, her lips are blessed
i hope she never strays from me
she's what keeps me happy

She wants to free, it's in her eyes
Away from me, let her decide
an eclipse is what she sees in mine
cause love has made me happy

Then came the day, i lost my heart
she's gone away, forever we part
I find myself back in the dark
where nobody can be happy

I would hold you in my arms
No other hand in my palms
i thought the love of ours would last
she wants me to be happy

Forget about me
life has been tragic
im'a wait in the rain for you
just to see you happy

I'm stuck in a world where demons grab me
They stab me
...but im'a wait in the rain for you
As long as you're happy

On The Same Day I Was So Happy

ON THE SAME DAY I WAS SO HAPPY

On the same day I have been so happy
Deep Loneliness comes in the night -
A dark dark cold cold world comes
And I feel more all alone
Than in a long time-

Our worlds inside are endlessly changing moods and minds-

I now am so alone
And anxious
And afraid also-

And I was so so happy today
So so happy in the morning
Far far
From the cold cold dark dark dark night

Happy Dog 2

I’m a happy dog in a car
Hope we’re not going far
I walk up and down the back seat
At each corner I’m rocked off my feet
I’m a happy dog in a car

I’m a happy dog in a car
Zooming down miles of tar
Sniffing around everywhere
I know where we are by scents in the air
I’m a happy dog in a car

I’m a happy dog in a car
I’m feeling well above par
On the window I’m sniffing near
My nose leaves a slimy wet smear
I’m a happy dog in a car

I’m a happy dog in a car
We’re on our way, hurrah
Happy thoughts run through my mind
As I stare and wag at the car behind
I’m a happy dog in a car

I’m a happy dog in a car
And going slightly gaga
Too excited to lay down and nap
I’ll look out the window and let my ears flap
I’m a happy dog in a car
