Walt Whitman

Beginners

HOW they are provided for upon the earth, (appearing at intervals;)
How dear and dreadful they are to the earth;
How they inure to themselves as much as to any--What a paradox
appears their age;
How people respond to them, yet know them not;
How there is something relentless in their fate, all times;
How all times mischoose the objects of their adulation and reward,
And how the same inexorable price must still be paid for the same
great purchase.

On Autumns Earth

This is the beginning
Now carry me away
On to the faraway new day
That now is born to play

Yes this is the beginning
Moments dreamed and found
Everything in its singing
That comes again around

Flowers on autumn´s earth
Reaching their own goal
Times of days and worth
Each their together role

Flowers on autumn´s earth
Reaching their own goal
Times of days and worth
Each their together role
On autumn´s earth

Yesterdays were all turning
In their beat´s echo heart
Forever in lay and burning
Poles and miles apart
Flames of their color giving
All that came from within
Days their dreams own living
As worlds take their spin

Flowers on autumn´s earth
Reaching their own goal
Times of days and worth
Each their together role

Flowers on autumn´s earth
Reaching their own goal
Times of days and worth
Each their together role
On autumn´s earth

Swept away in their call
Dreams that were carried on
Love songs of colors fall
Until their moments are gone
You and I had our calling
Dreams that were not to be
Now like autumn earth's falling
All that we had is now free

Flowers on autumn´s earth
Reaching their own goal
Times of days and worth
Each their together role

Not Youth Pertains To Me

NOT youth pertains to me,
Nor delicatesse--I cannot beguile the time with talk;
Awkward in the parlor, neither a dancer nor elegant;
In the learn'd coterie sitting constrain'd and still--for learning.
inures not to me;
Beauty, knowledge, inure not to me--yet there are two or three things
inure to me;
I have nourish'd the wounded, and sooth'd many a dying soldier,
And at intervals, waiting, or in the midst of camp,
Composed these songs.

Pearls Of Wisdom Disdained

interesting when pearls of wisdom
are freely offered the choice is to
purchase systems inferior doctrines

this rational being a free gift is worth
less than exorbitant fees purchase paid
an idea concept object of value rendered

reduced to base value of purchase price
irrational valuations at first price face
value is free pearls of wisdom worthless

How many eyes have you dried
How many ways have you tried
And dont you get tired of people sayin
How many times, how many times
How many dream have been bad
How many nights have been sad
How many days have you had
When you get tired of people sayin
How many times, how many times

Sonnet: Earth has Hidden Dangers

The earth has built-in hidden dangers great,
That Mother Nature shows when furious;
And when released, most people call it ‘fate’;
Blame man for his callousness curious.

All appears calm beholding surface things;
Yet, Nature takes man by surprise at times;
Though man performs great feats amongst earthlings,
By natural hazards, Mother Nature chimes!

Man wonders why God should allow ruin?
Good things are lost when Nature strikes terror;
But do they come because of man’s great sin?
–Affirms the punished, ravished survivor!

Yet, if man prays to God, his perils cease;
God’s mercy rains and world returns to peace!

Of Human Greed In These Tough Times

Of Human greed in these tough times we read of and we hear
Company C E O's not paid in thousands but in millions every year
Yet few of their type known for to help anyone in poverty
In a World where some have too much so much inequality
So many wealthy people from our Earth Mother take and take
From her precious resources their fortunes they do make
Her gold, silver and precious minerals, her uranium and coal
The more they have the more they want their greed out of control
For abusing the one we live off of the price may be huge to pay
Of droughts and famines caused by Climate Change we read and hear of every day
For the curse of Global Warming human greed in part to blame
Our abuse of our Earth Mother is only to our shame
The World is getting warmer from north to southern shore
And the greedy from our Earth Mother keep on stealing more and more.

I Paid The Price

See notes below
Well Im sick and tired
Of your alibis,
And your indiscreet lies
Just wont get you by,
Over and over and over and over again.
And your family,
Your forced superiority,
Your azure delusions of grandeur,
Are gonna cut you free,
Over and over and over and over again.
Youre as cold as ice.
Ahh, youre not miss nice,
And I paid the price.
Ahh, you can count me out.
Oh, without a doubt,
I paid the price.
And up and down, round, round you go,
But you know one monkey
Dont stop no show.
Its plain to see
Youre in need of help,
But I just cant go on
And whip myself
Over and over and over, over again.
Ahh, you can count me out.
Ahh, without a doubt,
You know, I paid the price.
Ahh, youre not miss nice.
Youre as cold as ice,
And I paid the price.
Yes I did.
You know I did.
And I just wanna know
Whos your sponsor.
I just wanna know, oh,
I just a-wanna know, oh,
I just a-wanna know, oh,
Whos your angel.
{backup singers} [i paid the price.]
Sing the song.
[i paid the price.]
[i paid the price.]
[i paid the price.]
And dont discriminate your angel.
[i paid the price.]
And dont discriminate your sponsor.
[i paid the price.]
And be good to your angel.

Bow down to your angel.
[i paid the price.]
Hey, hey!!

Bow down to your angel.

Bow down to your angel.
[i paid the price.]
Uhh, be good!
[i paid the price.]
Be good to your angel.
[i paid the price.]
I tried for to blow it. (? ? )
[i paid the price.]
I tried for to blow it (? ? ), one more time.
[i paid the price.]
I tried for to blow it (? ? ), one more time.
[i paid the price.]
If you blow it one more time, I say,
[i paid the price.]
Oh, youre as
Cold as ice,
And youre not miss nice,
And Ive definitely
Paid the price.

GLOBAL WARNING
The earth rose out of chaos,
the earth was alone,
God provided man to earth
both of them started living harmoniously
man loved nature
nature provided man everything
man won the world through science
reached on moon
forgot the earth
engulfed in new materialistic pleasures
forgot ozone layer
done the nuclear explosion
increased pollution
filled the earth with dust and smoke
forgot nature

My Funeral Procession

never do i understand
how we come to this earth
with a bang that rings loud
in every heart...

never do i understand
how we leave this earth
so stealthily and silently
cries ringing loud in empty space

but when we die several times
while still living on this earth
none there's to cry
we cry over our own death
silently and stealthily

i, a solitary mourner
walk several times
behind my own coffin...

My Home Remains Sky

I will not return to earth
Once on the earth and the earth turned me down, only briefly with
I went back to the sky, I'm in heaven where my original
In the sky more beautiful in the sky over calm
Actually I had stayed at home on earth
Even now I miss her
But on earth I could scarcely recognize the permanence
So I'm just one or two times to the earth
I am the son of heaven who loves the sky
High and difficult to reach, or do not think anyone
After the sky I'm difficult and not easy to come back to earth
Only the rain was the tears that tell of the earth
Echoed devastated what is on earth
And I will continue in the sky
Before there was earth is really for me
Earth friendly and beautiful for me
So that's what eternity will tell their own
And we both lost in eternity swallow
Silence swallowed, swallowed by the beauty
Swallowed by time, into the night and day
Swallowed by love and affection both of us forever

In the greatest darkness

I look at the sky
and in the greatest darkness
see the brightest stars appear.

In life at the time of calamity
its greatest heroes rise
to point without uncertainty
the true way to go.

At times of persecution
more people turn to God,
than times was everything
goes well.

In times of destruction
and where people are travailed,
something in the human spirit
rise above inhumanity.

In the depth of night
the sweetest words are written
and from the cold dark earth
seeds come to life.

Tie A Knot, Hang On

Life can bring great challenges,
disappointment and despair.
At times we want to just give up,
from pressures hard to bear.

Life on earth can be beautiful.
We must never give up hope.
Tie a knot, and hang on for dear life,
when you're at the end of your rope.

The rope represents our earth life,
whether happy, sad, or fraught.
Our Savior's great atoning love,
represents the saving knot.

If we will but have faith in Him
when our rope is at it's end,
He'll be the knot that stops our fall,
and helps our lives to mend..

A Falling Tear

Times of terror,
times of fear,
All these times
have always been here.

For the earth has never
been born of peace.
The bombs have exploded
destroying peace.

Man cannot recognize
vicious ones or vicious lies.
They simply think them away.

But they're not gone.
they're alive and well,
making this world
a living hell.

Times of terror,
times of fear,
They leave nothing
but a falling tear.

So Connected To You

There are times when I'm happy
and times when I'm sad
and all of these times that I have had
are all connected to you,
so connected to you.
so connected to you.

There are times when it's sunny
and times when it's not
and all of these times I never forgot
were all connected to you,
so connected to you.

'Cause you have my heart on a string
and I can't control one little thing.
Where's my composure? Where did it go?
'Can't even answer for I don't know.

There are times when I'm jumpy
and times when I'm still
and times when I'm playful
like Jack and Jill.
And they're all connected to you,
so connected to you.

So what do I do to get over you?
You've got me crazy in love with you.
I take a step forward and fall back two
and everywhere that I go
there'll be times when I want you
and times when I don't.
There'll be times that I'll have you
and times that I won't
but there's absolutely nothing I can do
'Cause I'm connected to you,
so connected to you
So I know we can never be through.

Chanting The Square Deific

CHANTING the square deific, out of the One advancing, out of the
sides;
Out of the old and new--out of the square entirely divine,
Solid, four-sided, (all the sides needed)... from this side JEHOVAH
am I,
Old Brahm I, and I Saturnius am;
Not Time affects me--I am Time, old, modern as any;
Unpersuadable, relentless, executing righteous judgments;
As the Earth, the Father, the brown old Kronos, with laws,
Aged beyond computation--yet ever new--ever with those mighty laws
rolling,
Relentless, I forgive no man--whoever sins, dies--I will have that
man's life;
Therefore let none expect mercy--Have the seasons, gravitation, the
appointed days, mercy?--No more have I; 10
But as the seasons, and gravitation--and as all the appointed days,
that forgive not,
I dispense from this side judgments inexorable, without the least
remorse.

Consolator most mild, the promis'd one advancing,
With gentle hand extended--the mightier God am I,
Foretold by prophets and poets, in their most rapt prophecies and
poems;
From this side, lo! the Lord CHRIST gazes--lo! Hermes I--lo! mine is
Hercules' face;
All sorrow, labor, suffering, I, tallying it, absorb in myself;
Many times have I been rejected, taunted, put in prison, and
crucified--and many times shall be again;
All the world have I given up for my dear brothers' and sisters'
sake--for the soul's sake;
Wending my way through the homes of men, rich or poor, with the kiss
of affection; 20
For I am affection--I am the cheer-bringing God, with hope, and all-
enclosing Charity;
(Conqueror yet--for before me all the armies and soldiers of the
earth shall yet bow--and all the weapons of war become
impotent:)
With indulgent words, as to children--with fresh and sane words, mine
only;
Young and strong I pass, knowing well I am destin'd myself to an
early death:
But my Charity has no death--my Wisdom dies not, neither early nor
late,
And my sweet Love, bequeath'd here and elsewhere, never dies.

Aloof, dissatisfied, plotting revolt,
Comrade of criminals, brother of slaves,
Crafty, despised, a drudge, ignorant,
With sudra face and worn brow, black, but in the depths of my heart,
proud as any; 30
Lifted, now and always, against whoever, scorning, assumes to rule
me;
Morose, full of guile, full of reminiscences, brooding, with many
wiles,
(Though it was thought I was baffled and dispell'd, and my wiles
done--but that will never be;)
Defiant, I, SATAN, still live--still utter words--in new lands duly
appearing, (and old ones also;)
Permanent here, from my side, warlike, equal with any, real as any,
Nor time, nor change, shall ever change me or my words.

Santa SPIRITA, breather, life,
Beyond the light, lighter than light,
Beyond the flames of hell--joyous, leaping easily above hell;
Beyond Paradise--perfumed solely with mine own perfume; 40
Including all life on earth--touching, including God--including
Saviour and Satan;
Ethereal, pervading all, (for without me, what were all? what were
God?)
Essence of forms--life of the real identities, permanent, positive,
(namely the unseen,)
Life of the great round world, the sun and stars, and of man--I, the
general Soul,
Here the square finishing, the solid, I the most solid,
Breathe my breath also through these songs.
