Silent Tears

I was silent nor
were my tears.
I loved her nor
that side person
I was experiencing
she might, too, be
but she left me
In the sea of pain
and sometimes sorrow

she was the only one
who could have me
save..
but she finally
gave me
grave..

Flowers for a Grave

Flowers for a Grave.
A life time of love gave.
A wonderfall person to miss.
Words left unspoken,
now must stay that way.
I just hope you knew that,
I loved you with all my heart.

Tears escape from my eyes.
Like an ever flowing river.
But it's in silence that I cry.
So no one else can see my pain.

I try to hide it well.
But the truth is my heart is broken.
I miss you and I need you.
Why did you have to go.

All I can do now is leave flowers on your grave.

Say Goodbye

Ive seen and done it all, it seems
Ive cried for all its worth a few times
I lived and loved in search of truth
Ive seen a lot of pain, oh, oh, oh
To finally realize, the reason for this life
Is to say goodbye to sorrow
Dont hang on to the tears we borrow
Say goodbye to sorrow and feel
That we are so free
We are free
Ive seen the bottom once or twice
Ive soared above the earth as suddenly
Ive made a few mistakes its true
Ive seen enough of hate, oh, oh, oh
To finally realize theres not much more to life
Than to say goodbye to sorrow
Dont hold on to the fears we borrow
Just say goodbye to sorrow and feel
That we are so free
We are free
We may long for happiness
Pray to God that we be blessed
Save us from this loneliness
After all that Ive been through
I believe the thing to do
Is to look inside of you
And just say goodbye to sorrow
Dont give up all the years weve borrowed
Say goodbye to sorrow and feel
That we are so free
We are free

My Only Song

Man of Sorrow
Man of Pain
You took it all
Without any gain.
You loved us all
With gentle eyes
Man of Sorrow
Man of Pain

39 plus one
Lashes great fall on your back
A crown of thorns
Pressed down around your head
The blood runs down
and yet you cry
'So many lost;
So many die.'

Man of Sorrow
Man of Pain
Leave it now-
And cry again
Man of sorrow
Man of pain
Your troubled heart
Feels my pain.

Lifted up to die
Bitter gall served fresh
As wine
Yet you'd do it again
For one lost sheep
That beats in the air.

Man of sorrow
Man of pain
When is it enough?
So much grief
You swallow up
Yet you bore it
And demand me live-
Man of sorrow
I humbled myself down.

All glory to you
Man of sorrow
All thrones belong to you
Man of pain
You gave me life and
Even more
I have nothing
But myself to give -
Yet I keep taking it back
Man of Sorrow
Man of Pain.

a Path to Take

A path can lead you in many directions like love or death.
So let the tears rain from the ones in pain
and yet he still walks a path filled with sorrow
so he trys to drink the pain away even his daughter stands in the back trying to save the one that gave her life.
Now she crys in pain while he drinks himself to death.
And all she can do is stand and whatch unless he changes
and lets go everything for the daughter that he once loved.

The Doomed Ship

The doomed ship drives on helpless through the sea,
All that the mariners may do is done
And death is left for men to gaze upon,
While side by side two friends sit silently;
Friends once, foes once, and now by death made free
Of Love and Hate, of all things lost or won;
Yet still the wonder of that strife bygone
Clouds all the hope or horror that may be.

Thus, Sorrow, are we sitting side by side
Amid this welter of the grey despair,
Nor have we images of foul or fair
To vex, save of thy kissed face of a bride,
Thy scornful face of tears when I was tried,
And failed neath pain I was not made to bear.

Loss

the loss of a loved one is hard to face
but you know they're in a better place
a place where there is no suffering and no pain
a place where loved ones are all the same.
a place where the angels gather to sing
with every new person that they bring.
for in this kingdom of happiness and joy
and pain does not exist.
sits our god and his beloved son.
he gave up his life so that we could see
what it is to be set free.
of all the suffering that we must go through
just so he could be with you.
so raise your head and look to the sky
for your loved one will be flying high.
their wings will be a beautiful white
and nothing can compare to that beautiful sight.
so put away your tears and grief
and thank the lord up above for his everlasting love.

Life You Gave

Thank you for the life you gave up
just to see me through
and do not weep for me now that I am gone.
Go and lead the life you should have led
while you watched over me in my dying bed.
I have only left you temporary
and we will be reunited again
when your last page is read.
Now go and shed no more tears of sorrow,
but smile for the life you gave to me while I was there
for I still watch over you from within the clouds above.
Our love will never cease to be
it will last eternally.
Now go and live your life
just as it should be
not with tears of sorrow staining your cheeks,
but smile for the life you gave
to me while I was there.

She had loved

She had loved,

Loved with the passion of a thousand loves

All of her hurt and pain went into this love

A love that no one had ever known

The ache and hurt from all the others went into the act of loving

The abuse of all the others went into her passion

The pain of rejection from family and friends went into the love making

She could never feel the hurt again so she put it into the passion and heat they two had when they where together

And when she was alone she would cry for the pain

Pain for the fear that she might never love

Cry for all the abuse that was put onto her body

Some in part to find love

Some in part to feel something instead of being loved

She used her body as a vessel to get what she wanted

And never showed love when doing it

She gave herself to forget herself and all the pain and fear and anguish

She gave and gave and showed no emotion in doing so

She knew that no one would really know her

Or really loved her

They were all just lovers without the love and all of the passion

She used what she knew

And passion is what she knew best

She had passion in the way she walked and talked and all the things that she did

She never showed her true colors

Until she found that love

And poured it all into the love making that she gave and cried for a different reason

She now cried for the loved that she had found and wanted

She gave all of her and more then needed to give to one person

That love that she had never had and wanted so desperately she gave to this person and that person never really understood her

She thought that this would never end and never wanted it to

But when the love in the love making faded it was just empty

And from then on all of her became empty

She did not know how to show true love and slowly lost her passion

All of her passion for all of the things that made her lovable

So now she was never to find that love again

Now she was passionless and empty

Empty was she would remain to be

Hallow once again just a vessel for others to abuse

and confuse for what they thought was love

Love that she would and could never feel again

The Unmarked Grave

There are mourners beside an unmarked grave
witness how quietly they all there do behave.
All shedding silent tears for one they’ve lost
perhaps some loved one in this way to accost.

It seems uncertain if anyone about really knows
who is buried there beneath the grass that grows
at this distant lonely place away from all the rest
perhaps it was the deceased person’s last bequest.

There isn’t any indication to say when, where or how the person died
just these mourners that have come here it seems from far and wide
to pay their solemn respects to one for which only they all know
perhaps it’s the least thing to the departed one they now do owe.

The buried person must have left a strong impression in everyone’s mind
and when alive would have been an influence of some remarkable kind.
There’s no real telling just what the circumstances might then have been
but judging from the expression on all their faces one of deep loss is seen.

The flowers brought by all the mourners there
and placed on the ground at their feet where
they formed a cross inside a circle of distinction
to commemorate the passing with a benediction.

The Great Consolation

Jesus was moved to tears at the grave of Lazarus
He experience the agony the family felt
He remembered their loss
He was their great consolation
Into a dark tomb went the light
And looked with compassion upon his children
Their sorrows touched his heart
Jesus wept aloud and could have cried more
His human nature could not escape pain
Their pain he knew by the tears he was willing to share
And he gave to their troubled hearts the light of hope
He turns the darkness of death into a new dawn
Gave them strength to cope
And a more glorious light await
The sorrow of parting into the joy of heaven
They will meet again by the eternal gate
When the saints go marching in

The Fall of Usher

An elegy on Edgar Allan Poe

"Thou wert the Morning Star among the living,
Ere thy fair light had fled;
But, having died, thou art like Hesperus giving
New splendor to the dead." - Plato's Aster.

"Thou art gone to the grave!" but thy spirit is shining,
And singing afar in the Realms of the Blest ;
While the living are left by thy cold grave reclining,
And mourning for thee while they long for thy rest---
Left mourning for thee while they long for thy rest!

"Thou art gone to the grave!" thou art gone where thy slumber
No more shall be broken by sorrow or pain---
Soon to rise with that host which no mortal can number,
To lie down no more in that Valley again!
No more to lie down in that Valley again!

"Thou art gone to the grave!" there is none can restore thee,
Or bring thee again from that Silent Abode !
But the Conqueror of Death went to dwell there before thee,
And He has prepared thee the way to thy God!
Prepared thee the way to thy Beautiful God !

"Thou art gone to the grave!" thou art silently sleeping
A sleep which no sorrow shall ever molest;
And, in longing for which, my poor heart now is keeping
This silent lament in its grave in my breast!
Like Shelley for Keats, in its grave in my breast!

"Thou art gone to the grave!" let the dark Weeping Willow
Bend over thy grave where thy beauty was laid!
While thy form, thus reclined on the earth for its pillow,
Shall live in the Spring-flowers which bloom at thy head---
To feed the young Butterflies born at thy head.

"Thou art gone to the grave!" where the Violets are springing,
And feeding upon thee above the damp sod,
Now thy Pandemos mourns, while thy spirit is singing,
And drinking delight from the Fountains of God ---
With thine Ullalume lost from the Fountains of God.

Naples – 1860

I GIVE thee joy!—I know to thee
The dearest spot on earth must be
Where sleeps thy loved one by the summer sea;

Where, near her sweetest poet’s tomb,
The land of Virgil gave thee room
To lay thy flower with her perpetual bloom.

I know that when the sky shut down
Behind thee on the gleaming town,
On Baiae’s baths and Posilippo’s crown;

And, through thy tears, the mocking day
Burned Ischia’s mountain lines away,
And Capri melted in its sunny bay;

Through thy great farewell sorrow shot
The sharp pang of a bitter thought
That slaves must tread around that holy spot.

Thou knewest not the land was blest
In giving thy beloved rest,
Holding the fond hope closer to her breast,

That every sweet and saintly grave
Was freedom’s prophecy, and gave
The pledge of Heaven to sanctify and save.

That pledge is answered. To thy ear
The unchained city sends its cheer,
And, tuned to joy, the muffled bells of fear

Ring Victor in. The land sits free
And happy by the summer sea,
And Bourbon Naples now is Italy!

She smiles above her broken chain
The languid smile that follows pain,
Stretching her cramped limbs to the sun again.

Oh, joy for all, who hear her call
From gray Camaldoli’s convent wall
And Elmo’s towers to freedom’s carnival!

A new life breathes among her vines
And olives, like the breath of pines
Blown downward from the breezy Apennines.

Lean, O my friend, to meet that breath,
Rejoice as one who witnesseth
Beauty from ashes rise, and life from death!

Thy sorrow shall no more be pain,
Its tears shall fall in sunlit rain,
Writing the grave with flowers: “Arisen again!”

Fictional Woman

The tears I cried for you,
The tears that gave life to the roses I gave you,
The sorrow you left me,
The happiness you took away,
You have moved on; so have I,

In lonely nights-think about you,
Forever, a part of you in me.

Crying but Not

Tears of sorrow, joy, or pain,
Drops of water fall from your eyes like rain.

If you have tears of sorrow,
Look ahead for tomorrow.

Are they tears of joy?
With your emotions people will toy.

If they are tears of pain,
Gaze ahead for what you can gain.

Tears are for things,
Feelings both good and bad.
People are always crying,
That makes me sad.

What joy do people take,
In making us cry,
It might do more than that,
It might make us want to die.

They take joy in our sorrow and pain!
And my question is, what do they gain?

Her Memories

NOT by her grave: thither I bid them take
Fresh garlands of the flowers that pleased her best,
And lay them by the headstone, for my sake,
My token and remembrance with the rest:
But here, where in the brightening of the west
I see her mountains grow into the sky,
Her native world, and mine because of her,
Here, where that low sigh of the pinewood's stir,
That was her dearest music, fills all sound
,I am with her;
And always, always, past comes passing by,
Lost in her grave, but here as if half found.

Not by her grave: it is too still, too cold,
And save my loss is nothing with me there.
What memories have I there of her of old?
They came not there, the dear lost days that were;
Not she lies there, but only my despair;
Not she, but death and all my loneliness.
What memories save all memories love must shun?
I would not think of death and her as one;
She shall be only life-ful in my mind,
With life's self one;
A name of glad remindings and old bliss,
So something of her presence left behind.

Not by her grave: some day will I return,
When sorrow keeps its wont unvexed by place,
And, sitting on the turf beside, will learn
To call before me there her waking face,
Not that white face that slept and took no trace
Of change because I kissed it, nor for tears.
Some day; for now I should forget her so,
Lose the fair happy woman and but know
The coldness and the silence when she died,
Lose her all so,
My love that was my life of all for years.
She loved this music when the pinewoods sighed.

Aunt Jane

When Aunt Jane died we hunted round,
And money everywhere we found.
How much I do not care to say,
But no death duties will we pay,
And Aunt Jane will be well content
We bilked the bloody Government.

While others spent she loved to save,
But couldn't take it to her grave.
While others save we love to spend;
She hated us but in the end
Because she left no Testament
To us all her possessions went.

That is to say they did not find
A lawyer's Will of any kind.
Yet there was one in her own hand,
A Home for Ailing Cats she planned.
Well, you can understand my ire:
Promptly I put it in the fire.

In misery she chose to die,
Yet we will make her money fly.
And as we mourn for poor Aunt Jane
The thought alleviates our pain:
Perhaps her savings in the end
Gave her more joy than we who spend.

Suffer In Silence

silent are the dreams
silent are the screams
wither, i will crumple and faint
silent are the tears that flow down my cheek
silent is the storm that is brewing
silent is the bleeding wound
quiet is my sorrow
grief in chains
mute and mourning
my sorrow in despair
in violence tranquil
wailful in silence suffer i will
coz that my love is your wish

Wrong Person

Once you have come to that wrong person
And have not tell him what you want,
In your heart the light you have turned on
Have not enlightened the heart of that wrong person.
Is that the reason that you have gone
Very far away without saying any word of forlorn?
But why he makes mistakes, why he fails,
You have never understood him, you have never known.
That person loves a wrong woman
And does not turn from her though he gets pain.
Is the pain you have gotten for loving him the reason
That in the feeling of pique you have left him alone?

From the heart of that person
He also loved you once in any unknown reason;
Suddenly a mistake drove him to a storm
And took him away very far from (you) .

Now that person burns in regret,
What his fault is that you have left (him) .
You are not with him now a days,
There is no solace to forget pains.
He knows that he has done wrong in everything,
May be death will be the pay for his wrongdoing.

Circle Of Fear

Heartache's knocking on the door
shadows dance outside her window
Tears keep falling on the floor
as the world around her crumbles
If you wanna save her
then first you'll have to save yourself
if you wanna free her from the hurt
then don't do it with your pain
if you wanna see her smile again
don't show her you're afraid
cause your circle of fear is the same
love can be as cold as grave
a one way ticket to endless sorrow
an empire of gentle hate
today without tomorrow
If you wanna save her
then first you'll have to save yourself
if you wanna free her from the hurt
then don't do it with your pain
if you wanna see her smile again
don't show her you're afraid
cause your circle of fear is the same
it's the circle of regret
the circle of hate
the circle of death
your circle of fear is the same
your circle of fear is the same
If you wanna save her
then first you'll have to save yourself
if you wanna free her from the hurt
then don't do it with your pain
if you wanna see her smile again

Getting Through

I know my heart is shattered into a million pieces
I know I've lost something valuable, precious and irreplaceable
I know there will be days when I will cry and break and hurt
But I know too that I am strong enough to get through this
My soul has cried many tears that have failed to heal my aching heart
My mind has screamed many thoughts that have failed to ease my inner pain
All thats left now is to rise up, be strong, sit with the loss and the pain and work through it
For the only way out is through - i can't jump over it or go around it - I have to go through it
I will come out on the other side a wiser, happier person
I will not sit and dwell on this loss and pain
I will grieve, it is necessary, but I will not focus all my attention on the pain
Instead I will focus my attention on getting through it, on looking forward at the bright lights ahead
The world cannot consist only of pain and misery, I refuse to believe that
I will find happiness and joy and cling to every little bit of it with all the strength I have
I will be whole and loved again
