Glance

Though two years of her marriage
I glance at that carriage
which took her away from me
at the moon, in the sea

I glanced it so fearfully
that it destroyed it beautifully
It was as brittle as lead
but she didn't see my deed.

She as the first and last
who completely broke my heart
she designed me in her chart
the destruction was in start

I glanced at every trace
that showed me her face
but, I was not so brave
so, now I rest in grave.

Alameda

You walk down alameda shuffling your deck of trick cards over everyone
Like some precious only son
Face down, bow to the champion
You walk down alameda looking at the cracks in the sidewalk
Thinking about your friends
How you maintain all them in a constant state of suspense
For your own protection over their affection
Nobody broke your heart
You broke your own because you cant finish what you start
Walk down alameda brushing off the nightmare you wish
Could plague me when Im awake
And now you see your first mistake was thinking that you could relate
For one or two minutes she liked you
But the fix is in
Youre all pretension
I never pay attention
Nobody broke your heart
You broke your own because you cant finish what you start
Nobody broke your heart
You broke your own because you cant finish what you start
Nobody broke your heart
You broke your own because you cant finish what you start
Nobody broke your heart
If youre alone it must be you that wants to be apart

Grey Eyes

SHE glanced across the path to me,
Grey eyes!
Her looks were kisses plain to see.
I gave her glances back to her—
Glad eyes!
She saw the lifting of despair.
From memory a face looked out,
Dim eyes!
No years could sour that love to doubt.
My soul would nevermore be lone—
Bride's eyes!
Hearts still were waiting for my own.
Our souls uncurtained then, perchance—
Deep eyes!
Each built an epoch in a glance.
Out of her fellowship so free
Light eyes!
She gave some gladness unto me.
And I gave? As we turned apart—
Dead eyes!
I saw the shudder in her heart.

Spiderbite Song

When you got that spiderbite on your hand
I thought we would have to break up the band
To lose your arm would surely upset your brain
The poison then could reach your heart from a vein
I was glad that it didn't destroy you
How sad that would be
Cos if it destroyed you
It would destroy me
When you had that accident in your car
That whole thing just really seemed too bizarre
Dodging holes and telephone poles through the dash
A million to one that you could survive such a crash
I was glad that it didn't destroy you
How sad that would be
Cos if it destroyed you
It would destroy me
When you fell in love it was so sweet
So devoted, completely swept off your feet
Love is the greatest thing our heart can know
But the hole that it leaves in its absence can make you feel so low
I was glad that it didn't destroy you
How sad that would be
Cos if it destroyed you
It would destroy me

A Cloudy Imagination

The lingering cumulus clouds
imperceptibly changed their shapes
while I sat below discerning
these metamorphosed spectacles.
My imagination went wild
as they drifted across the sky.
It seemingly was like my mind
was orchestrating their transmuting.
I glanced at one that took the shape
of the poet Walt Whitman's head;
another like Sylvia Plath;
and yet another looked like Poe.
I glanced back at the Whitman cloud
but it changed into Erato.
I took my pad from my pocket
and began to write this poem.

Datin

(words & music by wise - starr)
Datin is a game that grown-ups play
Datin means acting in a silly way
Datin makes girls start wiggle walking
Datin makes a guy start baby talking
Dizzy like children on a merry-go-round
Grown-ups are the biggest kids Ive found
Youd think they belong in a baby carriage
Theyre doing things that lead to marriage
But dont you laugh at what they do, oh no
cause some day youll be datin too
Datin makes a guy comb his hair just right
His girl can mess it up when they kiss good-night
Datin makes you quarrel and say youll break up
And just because its so much fun to make up
Children cant wait to grow up but then
Theyre datin and theyre acting like kids again
Youd think they belong in a baby carriage
Theyre doing things that lead to marriage
But dont you laugh at what they do, oh no
Some day youll be datin too

Moon lost

My moos is completely lost,
I don’t know at what cost,
But it is likely and most,
He is frozen like frost,

I am Fiza (name) and loved him,
Life took difficult turn and we decided,
Took vow to live together and reside,
Leaving all worries and tension beside,

He being very influential and powerful,
Ministerial berth but very honest and colourful,
Vowed never to desert and stay as one,
Not to worry for life and care for none,

He sacrificed luxurious living and position,
As I was only one for him and others out of question,
Though married to a woman but found me real,
Never lead happy life and more wounds to heal,

Life was full of challenge and danger to life,
But still preferred to be his companion and wife,
Left behind prestigious job and honour,
I took his word as promise and glamour,

We both converted to facilitate the marriage,
Names were ready for smooth carriage,
There was no problem so long it worked,
No one objected and no one poked

Things were not to stop at this,
So many things against and miss,
Both were ready to face any challenge,
But soon to face odd and revenge,

All sorts of pressure building and mounting,
Things look so different and hostile surrounding,
All signals indicated not good and sounding,
Hell was to let loose for marriage undoing,

Moon (name) looked desperate and loosing ground,
Remembered old wife and memories found,
Started behaving different as found no charm,
Thought of deserting and doing more harm,

Moon didn’t surface and darkness prevailed,
I had to leave and had to keep face veiled,
Moon had disappeared gone in hiding,
No words or promises any more binding,

I waited for long for his return,
He had gone forever by making U-turn,
I was crying and making futile efforts,
Lost his company and old good rapports,

I will not rest till he comes back,
Is this not treachery and deceit?
I had sacrificed too much after long wait,
I leave it for judgment and waiting for fate,

I received SMS for separation and divorce,
Was that not done under threat and force?
I take it as affront and insult,
Not leave him easily and lawyers consult,

Chivalry

I saw you across the room
and my heart stopped.

You noticed
and I looked away.

I saw you across the room
this time you didn't see
me looking at you.

I moved my eyes
across the all of you
moved my lips
feeling my breath stop.

'Beautiful' I thought
'just a beautiful man'

Not supposed to notice
all the pretty men,
not if you're a bit older:
but pretty I still am
and I want to know
if younger men know;

If I can still attract
a look
still get noticed;
even admired.

Or am I now invisible
to any young man
under 25?

A critical point
in every woman's life
where the line between
younger and older lies.

I move
to catch your line of sight
just to see if your eye
would linger long enough
to make me understand
you wanted a second look.

You glanced
but then glanced away.

I decided for another try
and stood behind
so that if you moved
you encounter me
and I'd dropp my notepad.

Why pass 35
do I
still need to be admired
by younger men?

You moved and my pad dropped.

And with little or no eye-contact,

you picked it up
with a smile
and gave it back.

I bobbed my head
moved on
felled by
indifferent
chivalry
and passage
into
the Older Woman Category.

Count That Day Lost

If you sit down at set of sun
And count the acts that you have done,
And, counting, find
One self-denying deed, one word
That eased the heart of him who heard,
One glance most kind
That fell like sunshine where it went -
Then you may count that day well spent.

But if, through all the livelong day,
You've cheered no heart, by yea or nay -
If, through it all
You've nothing done that you can trace
That brought the sunshine to one face -
No act most small
That helped some soul and nothing cost -
Then count that day as worse than lost.

Angels

Sparkling Angel
I Believe
You Are My Saviour
In My Time Of Need
Blinded By Faith
I Couldn't Hear
All The Whispers
They're Warning So Clear
I See The Angels
I'll Lead Them To Your Door
There Is No Escape Now
Now Mercy No More
No Remorse Cause I Still Remember
The Smile When You Tore Me Apart
Chorus
You Took My Heart
Deceived Me Right From The Start
You Showed Me Dreams
I Wished They'd Turn In To Real
You Broke A Promise
And Made Me Realize
It Was All Just A Lie
Sparkling Angel
Couldn't See
Your Dark Intensions
Your Feelings For Me
Fallen Angel
Tell Me Why
What Is The Reason?
The Thorn In Your Eye
I See The Angels
I'll Lead Them To Your Door
There Is No Escape Now
No Mercy No More
No Remorse Cause I Still Remember
The Smile When You Tore Me Apart
Chorus
Could Have Been Forever
Now We Have Reached The End
This World May Have Failed You
It Doesn't Give The Reason Why
You Could Have Chosen
A Different Path Of Life
Chorus
The Smile When You Tore Me Apart
You Took My Heart
Deceived Me Right From The Start
You Showed Me Dreams
I Wished They'd Turn In To Real
You Broke A Promise
And Made Me Realize
It Was All Just A Lie
Could Have Been Forever
Now We Have Reached The End

Rabindranath Tagore

One Day In Spring....

One day in spring, a woman came
In my lonely woods,
In the lovely form of the Beloved.
Came, to give to my songs, melodies,
To give to my dreams, sweetness.
Suddenly a wild wave
Broke over my heart's shores
And drowned all language.
To my lips no name came,
She stood beneath the tree, turned,
Glanced at my face, made sad with pain,
And with quick steps, came and sat by me.
Taking my hands in hers, she said:
'You do not know me, nor I you-
I wonder how this could be?'
I said:
'We two shall build, a bridge for ever
Between two beings, each to the other unknown,
This eager wonder is at the heart of things.'

The cry that is in my heart is also the cry of her heart;
The thread with which she binds me binds her too.
Her have I sought everywhere,
Her have I worshipped within me,
Hidden in that worship she has sought me too.
Crossing the wide oceans, she came to steal my heart.
She forgot to return, having lost her own.
Her own charms play traitor to her,
She spreads her net, knowing not
Whether she will catch or be caught.

An Other Day

It is an other day with out you
and the month of june is askin me
It is an other night
it is an other night I am waitin you
and the time is plodding me
when dreamin is backing me
when the passing time is a careles freind;
who is taking u
from my dream
but other day;
will bring us to gain
and dear will bring u back to me
will bring u back to my heart
but it is an other day; and
u are far from my sight
an other day at either end
we are alone at either end
and the month of june is askin me
in an other night just iam gazing
at moon
'cause i glanced your smile
once
out there
at the moon's face
an other day
will soothe the fondness
and the sun of our love will rise
when the rain will wash the pain
just in an other day of june.

A Jet Ring Sent

THOU art not so black as my heart,
Nor half so brittle as her heart, thou art;
What would'st thou say? shall both our properties by thee be spoke,
—Nothing more endless, nothing sooner broke?

Marriage rings are not of this stuff;
Oh, why should ought less precious, or less tough
Figure our loves? except in thy name thou have bid it say,
"—I'm cheap, and nought but fashion; fling me away."

Yet stay with me since thou art come,
Circle this finger's top, which didst her thumb;
Be justly proud, and gladly safe, that thou dost dwell with me;
She that, O! broke her faith, would soon break thee.

Broke Down And Busted

Look at this empty face,
Look at this broken frame
I have been no other place
And you know I've heard no other name.
How can you keep me so?
How can I let it go?
I look the worst that you've ever seen
Is it too much to ask what that's supposed to mean?
You've been playin' around and I played the part
Of a broke-down man with a busted heart.
Reach out a hand and see
What you have made of me
Take a good hard look and then
Close your eyes and
Ask yourself again
How can you keep me so?
How can I let it go?
You know that I would go anywhere
That I could go in my old wheelchair
Though I wouldn't get far 'til it fell apart
I'm a broke down man with a busted heart.
How can you keep me so?
How can I let it go?
You know my state as you hear my song
You'll change your mind if I live that long
Couldn't start it again
Nothing's left to start
But a busted man with a broke-down heart.

To: W A

Or ever the knightly years were gone
With the old world to the grave,
I was a King in Babylon
And you were a Christian Slave.

I saw, I took, I cast you by,
I bent and broke your pride.
You loved me well, or I heard them lie,
But your longing was denied.
Surely I knew that by and by
You cursed your gods and died.

And a myriad suns have set and shone
Since then upon the grave
Decreed by the King in Babylon
To her that had been his Slave.

The pride I trampled is now my scathe,
For it tramples me again.
The old resentment lasts like death,
For you love, yet you refrain.
I break my heart on your hard unfaith,
And I break my heart in vain.

Yet not for an hour do I wish undone
The deed beyond the grave,
When I was a King in Babylon
And you were a Virgin Slave.

May You Find Love This Cristmas

May you find love this Christmas
May your heart fill with cheer
May you feel so special
May it last all through the years

May you find love this Christmas
May there be a smile on your face
May you forget those sad times
May they leave without a trace

May you find love this Christmas
May God bless you my friend
May the happiness you share
May it start a new trend

May you find love this Christmas
May you be surrounded by friends
May it be joy this season brings
May it never come to an end

May you find love this Christmas
May you spread it all around
May you enjoy doing just that
May you spread it all over town

May you find love this Christmas
May you dig deep within your heart
May you share that great love
That maybe on your list or chart

May you find love this Christmas
May you find lots of joy
May you share it equally
With every little girl and boy

May you find love this Christmas
May it be better than ever before
May your love flow freely
May it start from that Heavenly Shore

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Oh! The Marriage

Oh! the marriage, the marriage,
With love and mo bhuachaill for me,
The ladies that ride in a carriage
Might envy my marriage to me;
For Eoghan[84] is straight as a tower,
And tender, and loving, and true;
He told me more love in an hour
Than the Squires of the county could do.
Then, Oh! the marriage, etc.

His hair is a shower of soft gold,
His eye is as clear as the day,
His conscience and vote were unsold
When others were carried away;
His word is as good as an oath,
And freely 'twas given to me;
Oh! sure, 'twill be happy for both
The day of our marriage to see.
Then, Oh! the marriage, etc.

His kinsmen are honest and kind,
The neighbours think much of his skill,
And Eoghan's the lad to my mind,
Though he owns neither castle nor mill.
But he has a tilloch of land,
A horse, and a stocking of coin,
A foot for a dance, and a hand
In the cause of his country to join.
Then, Oh! the marriage, etc.

We meet in the market and fair
We meet in the morning and night
He sits on the half of my chair,
And my people are wild with delight;
Yet I long through the winter to skim,
Though Eoghan longs more I can see,
When I will be married to him,
And he will be married to me.
Then, Oh! the marriage, the marriage,
With love and mo bhuachaill for me,
The ladies that ride in a carriage,
Might envy my marriage to me.

You're The One

Words & music by paul simon
May twelve angels guard you
While you sleep
Maybe that's a waste of angels i don't know
I'd do anything to keep you safe
From the danger that surrounds us
Little by little
Bit by bit
Little bit by little bit
Now you got it that's it
What're you thinking?
Things'll go sour?
Take its temperature every hour
Nervous when you own it
Nervous when it's gone
What do you think has been going on
For so long?
Bridge:
You are the air
Inside my chest
Chorus:
You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
You're the one
But when i hear it from the other side
It's a completely different song
I'm the one who made you cry
And i'm the one who's wrong
In my dream you spoke to me
And you said
Chorus:
You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
You're the one
Verse:
Nature gives us shapeless shapes
Clouds and waves and flame
But human expectation
Is that love remains the same
And when it doesn't
We point our fingers
And blame blame blame
Chorus:
You're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
And i'm the one
I broke your heart
I made you cry
And you're the one
You broke my heart
You made me cry
We're the ones
