Values and Society

You have showed me how to lie and hide,
You have taught me how to drink and smoke,
You have telecasted what to watch and enjoy,
You have distributed all those weeds and pots,
Nowhere had they seen that these are wrong,
Except in rehab, prison and hospital,
Where the criminals and sick learn,
The value of life that they have lost,
When they were in society,
When they were in the society
the values were compromised,
Lucky ones escapee, the rest punished.

No taste without society

A society is
An army wherein each one
Is an unchained slave.

A society is
A fortress in which each one
Is under the siege.

A society is
A kennel wherein the pair
Is in surveillance.

A society is
A prison with prisoners
Kept in unshackled.

Without society,
Pride and prejudice will fail
To add to one's taste.

Can someone within that society walk into the town square and say what they want without fear of being punished for his or her views? If so, then that society is a free society. If not, it is a fear society.

Lost Society

We have to look a certain way
We have to act a certain way
We have to in a society that lost its way
Lost Society
Can we be original?
Can we be our self?
Can we just be happy?
Lost Society
We have to be unhappy
We have to behave
We have to be judgmental
The media saying we are a
Lost Society
Can we just be our self’s

Low Society

A judge a dentist or physician
In this low society
Trade ambition for position
In this low society
Have you heard its in the stars
Next july we collide with mars
Have you heard it in the bars
In this low society
No more pay and lots of leisure
In this low society
Low society
Im just doing what I can
In this low society
But Im an incidental man
In this low society
I give away what others sell
The secrets yours so never tell
cos if you do youll go to hell
Low society
Side by side and always tired
All for one and no-one hired
All thats left is love inspired
Low society
And when the party is complete
And youre still standing on your feet
The taste of victory is sweet
Low society
And darling dont forget
In this low society
To turn off your t.v. set
In this low society
The most important thing at all
In this low society
Is not to stand too tall
In this low society
In this world that never learns
I can see rome as it burns
All the passion and the power
Turns to ash within an hour
No more play and no more pleasure
In this low society

No Values / No More Lonely Nights

I hear them telling me that you're selling off the furniture
And even keep my personalized autographs
You might as well go all the way and sell your granny to the zoo
And while you're at it, may I go to my psychiatrist ?
He's making money out of making me laugh
But I don't mind , I wish that I could say the same about you
It seems to me that you've still got no values
Oh you know you're not so hot, no values
And I'll be glad if you went away again
No values . . . no values . . . no values at all
The city shark is at the dark and of the alleyway
You pays your money and you takes your choice
The artful dodger says he wants to pick a pocket or two
But you, you've taken up a place in high society
A personal friend of messrs rolls and royce
Got them all convinced that everything you say to them is true
It seems to me that you've still got no values
Oh you know you're not so hot, no values
You know you've got a lot, but no values
And I'd be glad if you went away again
No values . . . no values . . . no values at all
I like your wife's smile, I like her car
If I had your lifestyle, I wouldn't go far wrong
On the waters of life you row your boat
Into the strongest tide that you can find
On the darkest of nights we were two of a kind
We went through it all before the tide went out
And left us stranded on the shore
How was I to know
How was I to know
Well you ain't got no values
You know you think you're hot, no values
You know you've got a lot, but no values
And I'd be glad if you went away again
No values . . . no values . . . no values at all

Cops Not Needed

In a highly evolved society,
cops would not be a necessity.
People have a higher Consciousness,
whole society would be in Oneness.
We would all live in peace as One,
everyone would be like Christ the son.
Values would be taught like honesty,
responsibility and how to express what we feel,
We would all have are needs met and would not have to steal.
No teenage gangs for teenagers are listened to,
they have changed the society and made it a new.
We used creative thinking to think all issues through,
instead of using force, punishment which makes us feel blue.

Orbiting goes On

what kind of society
can't providework for all,
what kind of commuinty,
can't find places for the homeless,

what kind of society has no obligation
for all the sick, crippled and infirm,
what kind of community agrees
to let some have so much more than they can use

while others not enough to live on,
what kind of society does not honor its agreements
with old aged, one parent children and orphans,
because of bad planning

what kind of community lets its neighbors starve
while others have more than enough,
what kind of family is not involved in education
to stamp out ethnic and gender discrimination,

what kind of society thrives on unemployment,
what kind of society is indifferebt to suicide,
what kind of family lets their children use and sell dope,
what kind of society lets pollution destroy the atmospheres

what kind of planet can survive this way,
and goes in search for other life

and still calls it self a democracy and democratic

Superficial Society

So I'm not good enough to hang out with your friends
You say it's a bluff, it's no lie
You want to be cool and hang with both sides
But what would they say, I'm the fool
It's a superficial society
It's a bunch of bullshit can't you see
Why wouldn't you wake up to reality
I guess backstabbing ain't the way of life for me
Open your mind and close your eyes
To the things that really persist
It's not your hair or the things you wear
That makes someone socially exist
It's hard to find yourself sometimes
Around the people with a cool policy
Why don't you let yourself unwind
And leave that lame society
Superficial society
Superficial society
Superficial society
It's all superfical to me
Superficial society
Superficial society

Caution

Same place, same time;
You have the right to speak out your mind,
Like a flying bird with hope.
Same place, same time;
You have the righrt to speak out but,
Do watch what you speak and how you say it.
In this life,
You have to choose your friends from your heart;
But don't let them choose you!
Many may not be what they say they are,
But, what is the society up to when we do lack love?
Don't forget your past and your identity;
For we all have to learn as we grow.

Same place, same time;
Like letters posted but with no reply,
Because many are yet to learn about life.
Respect is earned by those who deserve it,
Like applications written with no jobs at hand;
But to whom the bell tolls, this poem do speak to as well.
The snake does inherit poison from its mother,
And whatever is conceived in the night must be exposed in the light.

What is he society up to?
Because the smoke and the rabbit had never been friends!
In this world,
Who you are doesn't matter much;
But, what you are!
Because, no matter how high the eagle soars,
It must come back to the earth.

You have the right to speak but,
Do watch what you speak and how you say it;
Because, the worm that eats the vegetable is,
Behind the vegetable leave itself.
Caution!
With words so anew from a bard;
Like a fight between the cat and the snake.

Surprise in Japan - A man's World?

a man's society
a hen pecked husband
nevertheless i found

He was a chef. He cooked while the wife managed the frontliners waiting tables. Every now and then, she would scream at the husband for not listening to her. It was a surprise because I have always been told Japan is a man's society where women are subservient to men. But it looks like times have changed and women have become more
vocal giving a damn to outdated society values.

Karin

Pocket, socket, locket;
A man marries a woman and her daughter!
Oh, what is wrong with this society?

Sexual abuse,
And to set the records straight!
For a man impregnates two sisters and,
It is now like the order of the day for these people.

I am Karin and i know what i do see around me,
For the society is sick at times;
And the people around still love what they see.

K... I Lost

I lost... She lost... We lost and our heart lost.
Oh’ Society at your social and traditional cost.

Now our face will be considered as a culprit in love.
A strain is on our character with a defame shove.
How the rain will happen at my territory...
How a bud will blossom at a contrary...
My love ruined the society, people made that prove
Blaming us become their fashion and groove
at every lane and street we became the hated most.
I lost... She lost... We lost and our heart lost.
Oh’ Society at your social and traditional cost.

All are mortal; we can never be immortal
but... Our love will become for lovers’ portal
In future our successor will follow my shadow path
now may not the time for the spring... but it will be a heath
Defame has became our own fatal
we are blamed and going to die, but love is immortal
Love is spontaneous and the earth is its host
I lost... She lost... We lost and our heart lost.
Oh’ Society at your social and traditional cost.

I saw her love and felt me in her eye.
She is there always for me; Where is the “but & why”?
You are mistreating us and blaming us today
for you, our lives, we are going to pay.
We expressed our feeling with no shy.
Nothing is there what I have to post.
I lost... She lost... We lost and our heart lost.
Oh’ Society at your social and traditional cost.

For The Crime Of Murder There Is No Defence

The good Lords commandments have been cast to the side,
If you commit murder there's no need to hide,
We no longer heed the words of our God,
With self-interest society has become overawed.

Material goods are more important than health,
Regardless of how you obtain that wealth,
Stealing by force is now classed as routine,
Our society is in the worst state it's ever been.

All religions dictate, thou shalt not kill,
It's a commandment we humans can't seem to fulfill,
Of killings there's always an endless supply,
We've an insatiable appetite to watch others die.

Be it in wars or through mindless disputes,
Violence towards others is what it recruits,
If someone's being killed we just stop and stare,
Fact is nowadays we no longer care.

We see it daily while watching the news,
It's a crime that some lawyers try to excuse,
We no longer see murder as a heinous act,
It's looked on as minor that is a sad fact.

Violence towards others is a daily routine,
We will turn away to avoid being seen,
If you don't enjoy violence you are way out of tune,
From murder and mayhem we've become immune.

From an early age we learn all about death,
How to make someone take that final breath,
From computer games to movies of hate,
Our thirst for killing we find hard to abate.

We're taught that it's wrong but we don't seem to hear,
The destruction of others we no longer fear,
We look upon murder as a way of life,
It doesn't bother us it be it with gun or a knife.

There's no deterrent to killing another,
Conscience nowadays is so easy to smother,
A luxury prison will be your reward,
What happened to living and dying by the sword?

A few years in jail and soon you'll be free,
That's not a punishment I'm sure you'd agree?
Killing for fun is now classed as the norm,
Then the victims are told you need to reform.

While they and their families find it hard to live on,
The perpetrators complain they feel put upon,
By pandering to murderers we encourage their crimes,
Laughing at killing is a sign of the times.

Unless we change now our society will fail,
We'll no longer bother putting murderers in jail,
The decent will be scared just to be alive,
Lawlessness and anarchy are what we'll see thrive.

If you're honest you'll be classed as totally insane,
Then cast to the side if you dare to complain,
Society as we know it will no longer exist,
The good among us will no longer be missed.

It's to future generations this legacy we endow,
Killing others means nothing, it's happening now,
If you think it's okay then you're totally dense,

Taoist Issues

I can't stand getting my way
Nothing good ever comes out of it
So many missed opportunities to learn valuable life lessons

What will I teach my kids?
I certainly can't let them end up becoming as spoiled as me
Though I think I turned out just fine
If I don't say so myself

But where is the line between what must be taught
And what must be learned
For self-discovery is amongst one of the most important aspects in life
Buddhists believe that it's the path to enlightenment

How do we teach a child that wrong is right?
How do we even accept that it is possible for right to come out of wrong?

How could society handle such a notion?
The hundred-year-old laws would shatter
And set the foundation
For a new form to arise
