The Same Trail

Fences are erected covering all nooks and corners,
A few are barbed and others are fixed with doors,
All are invisible, just in front of us, hard to walk through,
As if a solution exist to the existing problems those are tough.

A few have passed through the fences of culture and rules,
Got them badly battered to be called as rebels,
Many live within the demarcated boundaries,
Use the doors conveniently to exit and enter.

All these boundaries have made us to be sick and dull,
As if we are tied down to the ground, not to have an option,
Luckily we had acquired the knowledge and experience,
Before the societal obligations were rested on our shoulders.

We have no other option, except living within these societies,
Growing from the infant to the matured old individuals,
Invisible metallic cobwebs, not to be disturbed at home and work,
Hundreds of generation have lived and died taken the same trail.

Barbed Wire Fences

Barbed wire fences
And chains around the heart
In the grind
Of the circle called life
On and on we go
Around a meaningless show
Where does thou stop
One does not know
Yet we slave on
To be free
Yet what defines freedom
And what is this bond
Or bondages unbound
Freedom is not
Or is Freedom a knot
Tied to barbed wire fences
Where we live in the luxury of nothing
And call it freedom profound
We are but fools
With existences defined
Around are the barbed wire fences
And the joys of it abound.

No Life Is Right Until Lived

When the thrill of living my life has quieted to end,
I will not be discovered procrastinating with any fears.
Or recovering from regrets,
Of not facing challenges to overcome when first met.
Nor is my life in any position for anyone to place bets.
Although I may choose to take those risks 'I' accept.

I am a work-in-progress taking forward not backward steps.
I live a life lived unafraid to make mistakes.
And those monitoring perfection based upon etiquette,
Are powerless to suggest what my identity should be to please.
Since this life I live is 'my' experience without boundaries.
And I will dream to adventure and explore to make known.

No life is right until lived as one decides it.
With...
Or without,
Judgements heard that are passed.

With...
Or without,
Judgements heard that are passed...
No life is right until lived as one decides it.

No life is right until lived as one decides it.
And...
As one decides what life is right for them to live,
Who can demonstrate what perfection is?

Rules of Splitting!

Listen now; there are rules to walking with me.
No, I am not about to write some silly simile.
This is the hard solid truth,
Break the rules there is no ruth.

Rule one: something on the ground
That cannot be unbound,
Walk on the same side,
DO NOT DIVIDE!

Rule two: you are allowed ONLY
When the doors are pushed openly
But not when the doors are pulled open.
You should be taking notes go get a pen.

Rule three: when in a group I can maybe
Handle a split, but only if it is even baby!
So when walking do best to be sure of it,
Because there is no reason for you to split!

Well, those are the rules,
Live by them silly fools!
They are just what I need,
So maybe it is I that should lead! !

The Walk Invisible, Pt 2

With a paean heart
Through the invisible trod
Through golden streets
Through glory sparkling spaces
As the invisible walk continues

With an angel
Niceties change
Another chamber
The angel announces welcome
So the invisible walk

So glorious the chamber
With blessings adorned
So many and diverse a blessing
For earthly inhabitants
So the invisible walk

To another glorious field
The angel leads
Pure crisp forms are seen for earthly immortals
Of jasper and other pricey and princely metals made
So the invisible walk

On crystal clear gold
Feet tread onto yet another place
A paean heart almost bursting
The trod goes through golden fruit trees
So the invisible walk

Angel announces
An eternity of pure joy
An everlasting glory
Will the immortal paean hearts experience
So the invisible walk

A flowery banquet into sight
As the angel says
For the patient immortals
Who the Saviour accepted this prepared
So the invisible walk

The angel asked
And the question is
Whether the reader of these lines
This banquet will attend
As the invisible walk continues

The Women Of The Marketplace

The black market was clogged
By the preoccupied populace
And there as I sat
In front of a kiosk
On a badly-beaten russet chair
That creaked everytime
I passed kinetics and physics
As I fancy my lips ajar with cigarette,

I saw women
Going in and out of stores
With paper bags and lavish shoes
Sprawling, lingering upon
Their silken skin

And I noticed that there
Are two types of women:

Women who leave
Without closing doors

And

Women who slam
The doors upon their exit.

Restrictions for migratory birds

I hear they make barbed wire fences and invisible meshes
Over the tourist Liberty islands sky.
Because they spend millions for cleaning bird droppings.
Not only that,
They are scared of bird songs too
As their politicians cannot sing as same as birds.

Death and Dreams

Death, with it, brings silence,
the silence which conceals the voice of life,
the same voice in which dreams revertebrated,
so, with arriving death dreams die.

But, few dreams didn't surrender,
instead they chose to fight,
some fighters were experienced and some were tender,
but struugle for existance was thier common plight.

Oh! this battle wasn't for victory, but for existance,
on path of dreams death laid some fences,
the fences fo failure, the fences of defeat,
but, in the path of hope few made thier exit.

In fences of failure few dreams were caught,
enemy was destiny but will was not,
with power of optimism they tatterd the fence,
such a mighty blow even death couldn't defend.

Dreams marched ahead stunning the death,
they vanquished the region which once ablazed,
happy was the sky and soothing became night,
even death hailed dreams for this formidable fight.

Death, being, an end is now a myth,
the men by thier dreams will forever exist,
some people died and some will born,
but legacy of dreams wii go on.

The Walk Invisible, Pt 1

An angel here
An angel there
Glory here
Glory there
So a walk in the invisible

A blessing here
A blessing there
A treasure here
A treasure there
So a walk in the invisible

Joy here
Joy there
Here happiness
There happiness
So a walk in the invisible

Angel guiding
Angel protecting
Angel encouraging
Angel enlightening
So a walk in the invisible

A demon scared
A demon running
A demon afraid
A demon vanishing
So a walk in the invisible

A soul afflicted
A soul cherished
A soul helped
A soul encouraged
So a walk in the invisible

A walk in the invisible
So interesting so inspiring
An interaction with the invisible beings
A realm of pure glory and pure joy
And so a walk in the invisible continues

I See You But You Don't See Me

i am invisbile
i have the powers handed to me by the gods
to be invisible
on this site to have many faces to have many
forms and colors and
dispositions

beyond gender
beyong boundaries
religion, beliefs, beyond what you ordinarily call
poetry

i am invisible to anybody's closed eyes
narrow alleys
i have wings i can always fly
i have horns i can always bully each
one of you here

you do not see me
but i always see you

when you fall
it will be my poetry
that will stop the falling
when you melt
it will be my poetry
that will solidify you

the gods the gods
they must have cursed me
i am always invisible
even to myself

i touch but i do not feel

Home From Work At Dark Detroit: Original 10 12 2009

Home from work at dark Detroit
City night invisible front doors
Shut below roof hung welcome light
A burglars forewarning of porches
Raised three steps above entry
Galleries there where beds once kept
They passed away generations
Who gave mulatto sons to raise
And still they slept
Soldiering from monument to monument
Home from work at dark Detroit
They spun the bail impinged upon the
Forest swell sacked the fields and sung
To the pitch of the gospel themes
The sacred geometry of old lines
Of old masters of slaves
Home from work at dark Detroit
The lot is legal and sweetly placed
For the old master still draws
A time phased consciousness frozen
And still set to the pace
Its home from work from factories
Building the mold for the DNA
The enzyme left of the racist face.

The Doors Are Locked

From inside of this room
I shall not exit
I have locked the doors
To the world outside.
It does not matter to me what is happening outside, because
Behind these locked doors
Is the world that I live in,
This land of my dreams that
I have fabricated for myself alone.
I recall my father recently reading me a story-
Of a woman who created a world within her dreams-
There she lived and locked herself
Inside of the doors that
Barred her from all that is real.
My father's hope was that
I would find my way out from
This place he called the land of my delusions.
This place which he calls the land of my delusions has become
My only veracity.
From the inside of this room
I shall not exit-it is here I safely converse with
The voices inside of my mind.
The doors to this room are locked, but
I can still hear my mother weeping, and
I hear my mother cry out from the midst of her tears-
What has become of my only child?
Inside of this room, I have constructed a world.
The doors are locked and
I have shut reality out-
The doors to my room are locked and
I have lost the key.
My mother is still weeping as her one and only
Has lost the key that would open the doors
To the world outside-
My mother is sobbing; the key is lost and alas-
Her only child's sanity has also been lost.

When Things Go Wrong Babe

when things go wrong babe
keep the code of silence
do not trust the words
that want to get out from
the panic of your mouth
take the safest step
swallow your pride
keep the utmost vigilance
of the walls and fences
grip the rails and stay
within the limits of your boundaries
descend the stairs of vanity
and open the doors and windows
like the way you open your mind
when things go wrong babe
think of me, close your eyes
hold me and feel me
for in me arrogance is estranged
in my heart is love unchanged

As Sure As The Sun Rises To Set

Surviving natural disasters,
With the taking away of material things...
Treasured by those who turn up their noses,
On neighbors and others they 'had' believed,
Lived in standards below them...
To compare and tease some with what they've got.
Are overnight among the 'have nots'.

The only way to stop a wagging tongue...
Mother Nature seems to always have a remedy,
For those quick to pass their judgements.
To critically critique.
And for those snooping over fences,
To mind someone else's business...
No longer are they wondering why,
It's important to respect how others live!
Especially now that the business of theirs...
Hangs from barren trees and share as a part of debris,
Littering for as far as the eye can see.

As sure as the Sun rises to set...
Many folks are living through their experiences,
With much regret.
Especially if those defamed neighbors and lost friends...
Are gone from them forever.
As well as those fences they peeked over.
With those doors, windows, walls, roofs...
And other treasured things once glouted about,
As a peacocking through malls...
And other 'social' comparing stops to gossip.
From them instantly taken away.
No longer to exist.

No matter what it is they do,
To restore their lives...
As if they weren't caught by surprise.
With a keeping of a mouth shut.
And more empathy,
They wish they had given to others...
As a druther,
And not as a tedious charity hand out.
Since little of it seems to come their way.

Happiness Is An Option

It is not easy
It is not easy
Looking from a window
At the edge of a house
At the edge of a town
Its grey like the day
When I lost it
Clouds overhead
I talked to a flower
That was almost dead
My body a prison
Why did I do it
Someone want me not to
But I still went through it
(living it upside, you gotta remember, that happiness is an option)
It is not easy
But dont give up now
(so dont give up)
It is not easy
Happiness is an option
(but happiness is an option)
Needed somewhere to clear my head
Find some strength a warmer bed
Maximum love in a minimal world
Id never achieved it
But then I believed it
So when I lost it - how
Im not sure - now
It was a strange feeling
Like a law repealing itself
It is not easy
But dont give up now
(so dont give up)
It is not easy
Happiness is an option
(but happiness is an option)
It is not easy
But dont give up now
(so dont give up)
It is not easy
Happiness is an option
(giving it up, if you are giving it up, if you are giving it up)
I can wake up in the morning
And not believe what I see
Look in a mirror and think
If thats really me
I dont think I suit my face
Its not a catastrophe
Its more a philosophy
Like the russians wondering why
Were born under a blue sky
But die in a dark forest
It is not easy
But dont give up now
(so dont give up)
It is not easy
Happiness is an option
(but happiness is an option)
It is not easy
But dont give up now
(so dont give up)
It is not easy
Happiness is an option
(but happiness is an option)
This is neither old nor new
Its always forever
Somewhere between sense
And ambition
Pleasure and decision
We have to make a choice
What do we want
Everyone singing
war, what is it good for?
While planning the next one
I dont need to win
You dont have to loose
We can choose
Happiness is an option
(you can choose)
It is not easy
But dont give up now
(so dont give up)
It is not easy
Happiness is an option
(chris: happiness is an option)
It is not easy
(no, it is not easy)
The war within us
(so war within us)
(so dont give up)
But it gets easier
(but it gets easier)
The more we learn
(the more we learn)
I dont need to win
(I dont need to win)
You dont have to loose
(you dont have to loose)
So dont give up
We can choose
Happiness is an option
(happiness is an option)
(chris: happiness is an option)
It is not easy
(no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no)
But dont give up now
(dont give up now)
(so dont give up)
It is not easy
(it is not easy)
Happiness is an option
(happiness is an option)
(if you are giving it up, if you are giving it up)
You dont have to loose
(you dont have to loose)
(if you are giving it up, you gotta remember)
We can choose happiness is an option
(we can choose happiness is an option)

The Invisible Man

Everywhere he goes
Everything he does
Everything proves to him
That he dont exist for them
Cos they dont understand what
The invisible man understands
Everyday he tries
Every night he dies
Looking for someone like him
Someone who dont walk by him
Someone who knows what
The invisible man understands
He doesnt sell cars
He doesnt sell clothes
Never famous
And know one knows
Stick and stone aint hurt him
You can dance on his grave when hes gone
But the invisible man will still touch your hand
Until you understand what he wants
Do you think you know him
Do you think that you know him
The lies and deceit you give
The curses and cries you give
Do you understand what the invisible man understands
Invisible man do you understand
Maybe it is you?
Invisible man do you understand
Maybe it is you?
Maybe it is you?
Maybe it is you?
Maybe it is you?
Maybe it is you?
Do you think you understand
Do you think you understand

De-Mystified

Demystified are these days now existing.
Coming to pry closed eyes open.
Abruptly to startle without finesse!
Demystified are these days now existing.
Many are surprised,
By the turn of events!

While those of fading power,
Scurry to seek shelter...
In their final hour.
Feel pushed up against,
Thick concrete walls...
Trying to avoid,
Being locked up behind...
Razor sharpened,
Barbed wire fences!

And still they search for excuses,
To relieve themselves from their blatant abuses...
And evidence of their offenses.

Inhumane they have been!
These misdeeds should get them lynched!
When secrets kept...
Find them inept!

But they create defenses 'still',
To hide behind lies in an overkill.
With attempts to deny and convince,
The laws in place...
Are to be changed; erased, replaced!
There are no boundaries set...
To limit their disgraces.
Touched by mental ills!

And those believed blinded,
By their dose of crimes ungrounded.
Rejoice when the time comes...
When these crooks are finally confined,
For their atrocities done!
And demystifying a reach for peace...
These thieves enjoyed,
Decreasing in pieces!

Boundaries

They say there are boundaries
that we should not cross.
Boundaries of love
that if we step over
we find danger waiting there.
They say there
are rules of engagement,
to break them is taboo.
However when you cross
over into love’s territory
you find the rules of arbitration
mean nothing there.
We seek no silken thread
to mend fragile wings,
but strings to tug
at the coldest heart
as we step across the boundaries
of love’s beating heart.

The Invisible Man

Im the invisible man,
Im the invisible man,
Incredible how you can,
See right through me,
When you hear a sound,
That you just cant place
Feel somethin move
That you just cant trace,
When something sits
On the end of your bed
Dont turn around
When you hear me tread.
Im the invisible man,
Im the invisible man
Incredible how you can
See right through me
Im the invisible man
Im the invisible man
Its criminal how I can
See right through you.
Now Im in your room
And Im in your bed
And Im in your life
And Im in your head
Like the cia
Or the fbi
Youll never get close
Never take me alive
Im the invisible man
Im the invisible man
Incredible how you can
See right through me
Im the invisible man
Im the invisible man
Its criminal how I can
See right through you,
Hah, hah, hah, hello,
Hah, hah, hah, hello,
Hah, hah, hah, hello-hello-hello-hello,
Never had a real good friend - not a boy or a girl
No-one knows what Ive been through - let my flag unfurl
So make my mark from the edge of the world,
From the edge of the world,
From the edge of the world,
Now Im on your track
And Im in your mind,
And Im on your back
But dont look behind
Im your meanest thought
Im your darkest fear
Put Ill never get caught
You cant shake me, shake me dear,
Im the invisible man,
Im the invisible man
Incredible how you can
See right through me
Im the invisible man
Im the invisible man
Its criminal how I can
See right through you
Look at me, look at me

The Door to Your Dreams

When times get rough
you gotta be tough
Things will fall a part
so you gotta be smart
Measure the distance
and live with persistence
Nothing is too far
Not even the farthest star
All you got to do is reach out
and take what is yours
to open up the right doors
The doors to your dreams
will give you great self esteem
They are locked until you find the key
it takes hard work to be what you want to be
