Freebies Bring No Smile
Our politicians used to say,
Let us see the God,
in the smiles of poor and destitute.
I ask them a simple question,
How long we have to be poor,
to see our Gods in our smiles.
We do not need subsidies,
we want opportunities,
to prove ourselves,
to prove our qualification,
to prove that we are human,
to feed our children,
to provide our families.
Take away the subsidies,
Give us the opportunities,
to toil on our own soil,
instead of digging,
the opportunity of another,
Who may be as poor as we are.

Should we feel
Should we feel ashamed of poor parent?
Is it the feeling so basic and inherent?
Can we make the difference not apparent?
What should and can be the real intent?
Do we need parents so rich?
Can they take us to highest peak or reach?
Can they make us to read human values?
Do they have any way to find the clues?
Can the poor parents prove to be real hindrance?
Can any one sight even single instance?
Are all big celebrities belonging to or from rich background?
Safe position and fortunes easily found
Poor parent never failed to teach
lessons of simplicity and hard work ready to preach
Never taught disobedience and rules to breach
Stories of fairly tales and not those of witch
May there be some compelling circumstances to yield
insistence for more efforts and hard labor in the field
Never to surrender or yield to pressure
Future for child always assure
It may not be matter of great concern
Can not disassociate self as matter of discern
Certainly Herculean task and very much on hand
Days are far off when child may grow and act as friend
Rich can afford and have an easy access
Relentless efforts for good education with no recess
Rich may prove and excel with his entire source
Poor may face problem but come out with force
Rich and poor really does not matter
Caliber is to be proved on simple platter
Not that rich may only shine
Poor may not leg behind and achieve the fine
Intelligence and personality is not anybody’s domain
Rich may find place and poor outside remain
Opportunities are open and free for all
Hard work and dedication is the final call
Strive so hard to reach on the top
Endless drive or progress non stop
What matters most is brilliant show?
River may remain calm after furious flow
Some of the youngsters blame the parent
For hardship and misery prevalent at present
There is lack of understanding and vision absent
It is like shadow on moon when looks like crescent
Many have come of their own despite being poor
Nothing prevented them from knocking the door
It was zeal and determined efforts to attain
Highest position and dignity to maintain
Good children bring credit to parent
They consider the opportunity as heavenly sent
What matters most is utilization of source?
It may shape the future with available force

Poor Boy
Never sing for my supper
I never help my neighbour
Never do what is proper
For my share of labour.
Im a poor boy
And Im a rover
Count your coins and
Throw them over my shoulder
I may grow older
Nobody knows
How cold it grows
And nobody sees
How shaky my knees
Nobody cares
How steep my stairs
And nobody smiles
If I cross their stiles.
Oh poor boy
So sorry for himself
Oh poor boy
So worried for his health.
You may say every day
Where will he stay tonight.
Never know what I came for
Seems that Ive forgotten
Never ask what I came for
Or how I was begotten.
Im a poor boy
And Im a ranger
Things I say
May seem stranger than sunday
Changing to monday.
Nobody knows
How cold it flows
And nobody feels
The worn down heels
Nobodys eyes
Make the skies
Nobody spreads
Their aching heads.
Oh poor boy
So worried for his life
Oh poor boy
So keen to take a wife.
Hes a mess but hell say yes
If you just dress in white.
Nobody knows
How cold it blows
And nobody sees
How shaky my knees
Nobody cares
How steep my stairs
And nobody smiles
If you cross their stiles.
Oh poor boy
So sorry for himself
Oh poor boy
So worried for his health.
You may say every day
Where will he stay tonight.
Oh poor boy
So worried for his life
Oh poor boy
So keen to take a wife.
Oh poor boy
So sorry for himself
Oh poor boy
So worried for his health
Oh poor boy.

Poor Baby
Orbison/c & r price
Glittery eyes; witchy smiles
A good time is all you are after
Skin tight thighs; little white lies
Put you in the center of the laughter
But your reign of queen is over
Your fortress has been broken down
You're still the center of the laughter
But your role has changed to the clown
Chorus
Ooh poor baby
Someone broke your heart in two
Ooh poor baby
Who would have thought it could happen to you
Poor baby
A pretty face; sweet talkin' ways
Got you a part of the action
A come-over-touch, glances and such
You always had to be the main attraction
Now you're the one who's crying
You lost at your own lonely game
You're still the center of attraction
But now i'm gone, you've got yourself to blame
Chorus
Ooh poor baby
Do what you said you'd never do
Ooh poor baby
You let someone get much too close to you
Poor baby
Poor baby,poor baby
Poor baby,poor baby

I Go For Simplicity My Friend
i go for simplicity my friend
because i am poor
i do not go for sophistication
because i am poor
i do not complicate matters
because i am poor
i do not want you to misunderstand
because i am poor
i do not want you to think some more
because i am poor
i do not want to convince you
because i am poor
i do not want you to be with our side
because we are poor
i want all things in their simplified forms
because we cannot afford
any other form of convolutions
we cannot afford another revolution
it will be expensive
and we have no more years to give
to pay for the sponsors

Prove Your Love
Written by christine mcvie.
Ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ooooooh...
I want to be, inside your heart
Thats place, the place for me
But I could understand, it wont be easy
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Like I say it aint easy
To let your heart run wild
So if you want to please me baby
Then dont act like a child
But I can understand, it won t be easy
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
It doesnt matter if youre far away
Or right here by my side
Thats the way I feel about it
We cant let the whole thing slide...
So if you cant see me
Right where you are
They why dont you send for me baby
By the nearest star
It wont be easy, and youve got to prove
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Ooooohhhh, oooooohh, ooooooh...

Hollywood Holiday
I rode my motorcycle through a watermelon patch
Right on the california freeway
I took my holy Bible on my blessed boogie woogie drive
Cause I know I know I know
Where I go oh lord theyre gonna bless me jive
Poor you poor me
Poor everybody who buy to be
Poor me poor you
Poor everybody who die to do
I parked my motorcycle on hollywood and vine
And sang till my red blood turned boiling blue
I took my sole survival and bore my cross on a string
Cause I know I know I know
What I dear I bear my charm to king
Poor you poor me
Poor everybody who buy to be
Poor me poor you
Poor everybody who die to do

One Good Woman
I am so in love with you
I just cant deny it
Everybody knows I cant deny it
Everybody knows
You can read me like a book
Just like a fortune teller
Everybody needs a fortune tller
Telling you the very truth
You bring me feelin
You bring me fire
You give me love thats taking me higher
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
You bring out the best in me
With love and understanding
Anytime I need some understanding
You are always there
And if I ever lose my way
Youre always there to guide me
Anyone can see youre here inside me
Anyone can see it
You bring me feelin
You bring me fire
You give me love thats taking me higher
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
You fill me with hope
Love and devotion
You taught me how to show my emotion
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
This is our time, we have it all
We have a way of knowing if were heading for a fall
Well work it out and get it right
And when I get home to you
Youre such a sight for my poor eyes
This is our time, we have it all
When I come home at night
Youre such a sight for my poor eyes
You bring me feelin
You bring me fire
You give me love thats taking me higher
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
You fill me with hope
Love and devotion
You taught me how to show my emotion
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
Repeat

Sob Story
Give me your poor.
Give me your self righteous.
Give me your...
'The poor?
Self righteous?
I've never known the poor to be self righteous.'
There has been a new category added,
To include those now claiming...
To be amongst those the most in need.
'I see.
So does that mean,
The ones historically disadvantaged...
Are pushed even further back,
On your list of priorities? '
Hey,
Whatever works.
And they have promised to deliver us 'perks'
IF and WHEN the current crisis turns around.
'I see.
So...
You are getting paid for your deeds,
To announce their current dilemma? '
Yes.
A fool I am not.
I've got empty pockets I wish to see filled too.
Give me your poor.
Give me your self righteous.
Give me your homeless and destitute.
Give me your most believed desperate situation.
Give me any sob story at all...
And I'll add your claims to my pity party list.
No one will be refused.
However...
Be creative in the telling of it.

The So Called Good Economic Managers
Due to Government mismanagement we see a society in decay
And the wealthy at the expense of the poor get wealthier it should never be that way
In so called affluent Western Nations people live rough on the street
Without a place to call home to out of rubbish bins they eat.
The Government due to so called good economic management get re-elected but the poor getting more poor
And for the youth of the poor Suburbs job opportunities are fewer
And many young people never find employment because of their address
And lack of career opportunities give rise to feelings of hopelessness.
Life is tough for those in the poor Suburbs where poverty is rife
From the day that they are born they must struggle on through life
The Monarch became Monarch due to birthright doesn't life seem so unfair
Whilst millions are dying of hunger in the bigger World out there.
The so called good economic managers are back in power again
But from their good economic management only the wealthy gain
And even in so called wealthy Western Nations there is widespread poverty
And more people dying of malnutrition than ever before in the twenty first century.

Twisted Rhetoric
You can not tell folks they are nuts!
Not today.
Although their numbers growth,
To be observed in action.
They would rather take opportunities to prove it.
And do it as if someone has turned off their switch.
To leave those impulses once going to the brain...
Detoured to escape out of the ears to go ignored.
And taking that away from them...
The chance for them to prove themselves nuts,
Leaves them to sit longer in denial.
While dropping signs everywhere they can excuse,
With evasive and twisted rhetoric!
And other nonsense that exposes them,
For the morons they are.

Prove It All Night
Ive been working real hard, trying to get my hands clean,
Tonight well drive that dusty road from monroe to angeline,
To buy you a gold ring and pretty dress of blue,
Baby just one kiss will get these things for you,
A kiss to seal our fate tonight,
A kiss to prove it all night.
(chorus)
Prove it all night,
Girl theres nothing else that we can do,
Sp prove it all night, prove it all night,
And girl Ill prove it all night for you.
Everybodys got a hunger, a hunger they cant resist,
Theres so much that you want, you deserve much more than this,
But if dreams came true, oh, wouldnt that be nice,
But this aint no dream were living through tonight,
Girl, you want it, you take it, you pay the price.
(chorus)
Prove it all night, prove it all night girl and call the bluff,
Prove it all night, prove it all night and girl,
I prove it all night for your love.
Baby, tie your hair back in a long white bow,
Meet me in the fields out behind the dynamo,
You hear the voices telling you not to go,
They made their choices and theyll never know,
What it means to steal, to cheat, to lie,
What its like to live and die.
(chorus)
To prove it all night...

I am your maternal Aunt from Ohio!
A letter came without the sender's address.
She's written 'I am your Aunt but I cannot prove it.
Do not think that I am senile,
Still I can trace Judas who made the crown of thorns
For our Good Shepherd!
Do not think that I am mean
The Plumbago mine to whom I give
Before I take oaths in the Heaven.
Purposely I omitted my address on the envelope
Because I know you rascal never step into this lonely Aunt's habitation!
And you scribble the whole life until you go to the Hell!
I am your Aunt Hellen!
For the young couple in the Wedlock Mike & Sue!
*Is this the Canadian Aunt once poor deceased Mom mentioned in my faded dream?
But she must have gone to the heaven already.I have doubts whether she writes her last will the Plumbago mine for me? Now I remember once a palmist in my country predicted, one day I own a sudden wealth in a strange soil.O I can make pencils for poor children free!

Prove that He is not God
Why should I prove that
I am nothing but a slave to Almighty?
First thou prove that the sky,
the planets,
the earth,
And the whole universe
do not belong to Him.
Prove that He is not the creator,
the cherisher,
the sustainer,
And I will prove that I am His slave.

Not a Bourgy Doer
I use to have issues with being emotionally needy.
Feeling I had to achieve to appease and please.
While experiencing a sense of abandonment...
And no one cared what was happening inside of me.
I use to be moody with a quick lip and attitude.
I knew as a child I had responsibilities.
And those children I knew had none or few.
As I grew older and more rebellious in mind,
I became more independent and less forgiving...
Of those who had direction in their lives of some kind.
Although I am no longer there where I had been...
Emotionally I remain protective,
And free to speak without a need to be touched.
'Too bourgy and aloof,
Using that as an excuse to feed.'
Who me?
'Yes you!
Just too bourgy and aloof,
Out to prove that you can do and succeed.'
Not me...
I'm not a bourgy doer.
'But you're bourgy and aloof,
Using that as an excuse to feed.'
Who me?
'Yes you!
You're out to prove.
You're bourgy and aloof.
Out to prove that you can do and succeed.'
Not me...
I'm not a bourgy doer.
Or out to prove a thing.

With A Pity That You Want
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And with a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
You weep too deep,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
To realize...
A pain you keep.
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
But...
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
You weep too deep,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And your wants are weak.
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
But...
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
Oh...
But you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And with a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want,
To show you're one of those...
With a pity that you want,
To show exposed.
With a pity that you want,
To be one of those!

Poor Children
They are the future of humanity
But many of them living in poverty
And without shelter homeless on the street
Searching through rubbish bins for scraps of food to eat.
Poor children are victims of circumstance
In life they never really get a chance
Or have opportunities as privileged children do
The road from the poor suburb to prison leads them to.
From broken homes they are condemned to fail
Their abusive and drug addicted parents serving time in jail
Their parents too homeless in their teen years
On no hope street no laugther only tears.
The Government does not care about those who live in poverty
No political advantage in philanthropy do they see
Their tally men for them have taken note
That few in the poor suburb ever bother for to vote.
Poor children without homes and sleeping rough
And life for them already hard enough
At the wrong end of the social divide
Any chance of a good future to them is denied.

Poverty
I saw an old cottage of clay,
And only of mud was the floor;
It was all falling into decay,
And the snow drifted in at the door.
Yet there a poor family dwelt,
In a hovel so dismal and rude;
And though gnawing hunger they felt,
They had not a morsel of food.
The children were crying for bread,
And to their poor mother they’d run;
‘Oh, give us some breakfast,’ they said,
Alas! their poor mother had none.
She viewed them with looks of despair,
She said (and I’m sure it was true),
‘’Tis not for myself that I care,
But, my poor little children, for you.’
O then, let the wealthy and gay
But see such a hovel as this,
That in a poor cottage of clay
They may know what true misery is.
And what I may have to bestow
I never will squander away,
While many poor people I know
Around me are wretched as they.

Dangerous Ape
Gods have calibre, and the monkey is banished
Due to poor health and no showmanship.
Gods shall keep the poor apes, the poor monkeys
That spell for their names, hunting fruit like apes
That are friendly to the godly men and humans.
Each god shall praise the highest men
Who parade the bigger kind of human,
But apish behaviour is against the role to play,
Danger is the fantastic goal, one of great apes.
The great ape is not human or humane.

The Poor Bloke's Prayer
My electricity bill I just cannot pay
Dear God when I need you where are you today
You don't seem to listen when to you I pray
And when I need your help from me you turn away.
The prayer of the poor bloke on poverty street
For his children he cannot afford to buy meat
His wife is unwell in bed feeling run down
A poor family on the poor side of the town.
He prays but God never pays heed to his prayer
Life can be so tough for one on welfare
On a below poverty line income and job opportunities rare
Of how real poverty feels he is all too aware.
If your wife and children are hungry and payment on your bills overdue
To positive thinking 'tis hard to stay true
You pray to your God for assistance but your prayer God does not heed
And your so called friends do not wish to know you in your times of need.
