Reunion
After several summers, we met again
In the still slumbering morning light
Looking at each other in dazed silence
With the delectable kick of an evanescent dream.
The vile tricks Time had wrought
Did change both you and me
In the place of dimpled ruddy cheeks
Dreamy eyes and soft creamy skin
I saw crumpled, saggy face
Lustreless eyes and wrinkled skin.
Much has slipped between the seams!
How I watched you struggle hard
To hide the shock far too obvious
When your eyes had hooked on me
Altered beyond your wild surmise
Gazing at each other, dumb we stood
Two travellers at a wayside inn
To part after a brief respite
With the past trampled under our feet
The present sneering at our face
And the future hovering above our heads.
At what infinitesimal time
Has this wonder transpired?
The creases, suddenly ironed out
The wrinkles all smoothed down
Brilliance shot back to hazy eyes
The plump, rotund body
Into sleek hour glass figure turned
Hot blood rushed through the veins
And a new energy throbbed the muscles
Once again our nimble limbs
Danced in tune to the fast beats
Once more we were made
Those agile girls of fickle teens
Who hid a thousand rosy dreams
In the ivory caskets of their minds
And flew on wings of easeful abandon,
To far fairylands and gardens green.

The Seed
Just like a seed in the ground
I have no eyes to see around.
In this dark and wonderful place
I must wait for the light to face.
I am new life and I’m here to grow,
protected from the winds and snow.
In a short time my change has begun,
a milky substance I’ve now become.
My next change is to the blood of man,
and then to flesh as fast as I can.
A structure of bone is also taking place,
with organs, limbs, head and face.
I’m all curled up in my mother’s womb,
I’ve no memories, but I will have soon.
I’m secure and warm, and being fed,
but cannot talk, so nothing is said.
My body is growing and I’m stretching out,
a kick will tell mummy I’m moving about.
I’m getting too big for this confined space,
but it won’t belong before I show my face.
The light of day I’ll soon be pleased to see
and the realities of life will then face me,
but until that time I will listen and grow,
and look forward to when I cry out ‘hello’!

One Passionate Kiss
Who thought that one kiss
One innocent kiss
That meant nothing at first
Could change everything
Could lead to things we have not experience
Could let us enjoy so much that
We've wanted for so long
Could make us feel the same feelings at the same time
Being really loved
Being whole
Being a part of something that's worth our time
Could make your eyes sparkle
As if you wouldn't want to be or doing
Anything else in the world
Could give us a natural high
Could give my soul wings
Makes my body feel as if it was floating in the clouds
Could make my eyes twinkle just like you were too
Steal two stars and plant then in my eyes
Could mean nothing at first but then stole our breath away
And from that moment on I have been hooked on you
I can't get enough of you
I always want more and more never doing enough for you
Always feeling that I need to do more
Or you deserve more
And ask myself why such a great man like you
Would want anything to do with such a not so great woman
But as I look into your dreamy eyes
All my worries explode my body like a
Ticking time bomb that went off
Who would think that such a harmless kiss
Could make me want so much more then
Such an innocent kiss
Would make me want to do
I never thought such a kiss excised but
The first time you looked into my eyes
With your dreamy eyes telling me
I love you baby without even speaking
Then your tender inexperienced lips pressed gently against mine
Nervous about if you're doing something wrong
But really you were doing everything right
The butterflies were got in a hurricane
And trying to fly out of it flapping
There wings as hard and as fast as they could
In my stomach
But could it really have hurt anything
It was only
One passionate kiss

The Skin Im In
The skin Im in
Its hard to see, I know
This skin Im in
Were never free
Dont you agree?
Yet another age has passed
We all must look away
From the way we are today
We must look away
On every fate
Opening eyes will see
Who does not cry?
This skin Im in
No-one can hide
Hows the world been leaving you?
The future came too late
For the ones who cannot wait
It will come too late
This skin Im in
Down to the bone, our blood
Fit for a king
Its no surprise
Theres no disguise
Maybe all we need is time
To wipe away the tears
We let fall throughout the years
You must hide your tears
Within this skin
Until the end we grow
And as we sing
We have no more to show
Now walk and say nothing

A Little Bit Of Green (take 1)
Now that the truth is hard to face
I can't forget you once were mine
Someone else is in my place
Whenever we meet my heart beats out of time
Just a little bit of green
Clouds my eyes to what I've seen
Just a little bit of green
When I see you with someone new
And knowing that there's nothing I can do
Please don't try to tie me down
Those are the words you often say
I can't help seeing you around
You smile with surprise, I turn my eyes away
Just a little bit of green
Oh-oh-ho, clouds my eyes to what I've seen
Just a little bit of green
When I see you with someone new
And knowing that there's nothing I can do
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Just a little bit of green
Oh-oh-ho, clouds my eyes to what I've seen
Just a little bit of green
When I see you with someone new
And knowing that there's nothing I can do
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Just a little bit of green

Just a State of Mind
It's no fun growing old, you know.
Your joints seize up and creak.
You can remember what happened in years gone by,
But not what you did last week!
You once had luscious brunette locks.
They're thinner now, and grey.
Climbing the stairs was a doddle back then.
Now, it takes you all day!
The figure you were so proud of
Is rotund now, and sags.
Your face is all lined and wrinkled,
And your blood-shot eyes have bags.
Your tummy is now a pot-belly.
Your legs have varicose veins,
And the arthritis in your elbows and knees
Plays up whenever it rains.
But your soul is as youthful as ever,
Your spirit still as sprightly.
So you count all your blessings daily...
And take your tablets nightly! ! ! !

Benjamin Fraser
Their spirits beat upon mine
Like the wings of a thousand butterflies.
I closed my eyes and felt their spirits vibrating.
I closed my eyes, yet I knew when their lashes
Fringed their cheeks from downcast eyes,
And when they turned their heads;
And when their garments clung to them,
Or fell from them, in exquisite draperies.
Their spirits watched my ecstasy
With wide looks of starry unconcern.
Their spirits looked upon my torture;
They drank it as it were the water of life;
With reddened cheeks, brightened eyes,
The rising flame of my soul made their spirits gilt,
Like the wings of a butterfly drifting suddenly into sunlight.
And they cried to me for life, life, life.
But in taking life for myself,
In seizing and crushing their souls,
As a child crushes grapes and drinks
From its palms the purple juice,
I came to this wingless void,
Where neither red, nor gold, nor wine,
Nor the rhythm of life are known.

Another One In The Dark
We took em high, we took em straight up the hill
They wanted it all, we gave em such a fill
In their parades we stole every thrill
And in their games we made every kill
We took them hard, we took them up against the wall
In their loss we never let them fall
In their flames we sailed up to the moon
In their rains we slayed dry like a fire would
So the bottom of my fears
Is that the girl might just disappear
But thatll be the death of me
The day shes just a memory
Well she turned out the lights
When she opened the whites of my eyes
Another one in the dark
Broken hearted mama
Just another one in the dark
When we rolled, rolled on like a big drum
We went to the top just above everyone
They wanted to win, tie us up with a string, and steal everything
We took em skin on skin, we laid em down in the ring
So I swear, were a pair
Like loneliness and a prayer
And you know I may still believe
You may still need me
Well, she turned out the lights
When she opened the whites of my eyes
Another one in the dark
Broken from the start
Just another one in the dark
And in their nights we made out with a loud scream
And in their sleep we howled inside every dream
So if youre trying to break me
Come on why dont you shake me
Right out of my tree, the one that you made me, me
Well, she sang out of tune
When she shot down the moon
As I saw my all freeze
Down onto my knees
Where I was hit at the hip, between the cup and the lip
As I was struck down under, with lightning and thunder
As she cut all the strings, that Id tied to her wings
Leaving me in the dark, we stood just feet apart
But she never seen me at all

Behind Those Eyes
Ohh yeah
Ohh yeah
you said i had something to say
then you got that look in your eye
there is something youve got to know
you said it as you started to cry
ive been down the wrong road tonight
and i swear ill never go there again
ive seen this face once before
and i dont think i can do this again
Theres something I cant see
Something living in the way you smile
Behind those eyes you lie
And theres nothing i can say
Cause im never gonna change your mind
Behind those eyes you hide
As you turned to walk away
I saw another look in your eye
And even though it hurt like it did
I couldnt let the spirit by?
You say that your sorry
And you say that it hurts you the same
Is there something here to believe
Or is it just another part of the game?
Theres something I cant see
Something living in the way you smile
Behind those eyes you lie
And theres nothing i can say
Cause im never gonna change your mind
Behind those eyes you hide
Ohh yeah
Ooooooo
Ohh woah
Behind those eyes you lie
Behind those eyes you hide
Theres something I cant see
Something living in the way you smile
Behind those eyes you lie
And theres nothing i can say
Cause im never gonna change your mind
Behind those eyes you hide
Theres nothing i can say
Thats ever gonna change your mind
Behind those eyes you hide
Behind those eyes you lie

A Case Of Murder
They should not have left him there alone,
Alone that is except for the cat.
He was only nine, not old enough
To be left alone in a basement flat,
Alone, that is, except for the cat.
A dog would have been a different thing,
A big gruff dog with slashing jaws,
But a cat with round eyes mad as gold,
Plump as a cushion with tucked-in paws---
Better have left him with a fair-sized rat!
But what they did was leave him with a cat.
He hated that cat; he watched it sit,
A buzzing machine of soft black stuff,
He sat and watched and he hated it,
Snug in its fur, hot blood in a muff,
And its mad gold stare and the way it sat
Crooning dark warmth: he loathed all that.
So he took Daddy's stick and he hit the cat.
Then quick as a sudden crack in glass
It hissed, black flash, to a hiding place
In the dust and dark beneath the couch,
And he followed the grin on his new-made face,
A wide-eyed, frightened snarl of a grin,
And he took the stick and he thrust it in,
Hard and quick in the furry dark.
The black fur squealed and he felt his skin
Prickle with sparks of dry delight.
Then the cat again came into sight,
Shot for the door that wasn't quite shut,
But the boy, quick too, slammed fast the door:
The cat, half-through, was cracked like a nut
And the soft black thud was dumped on the floor.
Then the boy was suddenly terrified
And he bit his knuckles and cried and cried;
But he had to do something with the dead thing there.
His eyes squeezed beads of salty prayer
But the wound of fear gaped wide and raw;
He dared not touch the thing with his hands
So he fetched a spade and shovelled it
And dumped the load of heavy fur
In the spidery cupboard under the stair
Where it's been for years, and though it died
It's grown in that cupboard and its hot low purr
Grows slowly louder year by year:
There'll not be a corner for the boy to hide
When the cupboard swells and all sides split
And the huge black cat pads out of it.

Lovely One
Lovely one,
Just as on the cool stone
Of the spring, the water
Opens a wide flash of foam,
So is the smile of your face,
Lovely one.
Lovely one,
With delicate hands and slender feet
Like a silver pony,
Walking, flower of the world,
Thus I see you,
Lovely one.
Lovely one,
With a nest of copper entangled
On your head, a nest
The coloUr of dark honey
Where my heart burns and rests,
Lovely one.
Lovely one,
Your eyes are too big for your face,
Your eyes are too big for the earth.
There are countries, there are rivers,
In your eyes,
My country is your eyes,
I walk through them,
They light the world
Through which I walk,
Lovely one.
Lovely one,
Your breasts are like two loaves made
Of grainy earth and golden moon,
Lovely one.
Lovely one,
Your waist,
My arm shaped it like a river when
It flowed a thousand years through your sweet body,
Lovely one.
Lovely one,
There is nothing like your hips,
Perhaps earth has
In some hidden place
The curve and the fragrance of your body,
Perhaps in some place,
Lovely one.
Lovely one, my lovely one,
Your voice, your skin, your nails,
Lovely one, my lovely one,
Your being, your light, your shadow,
Lovely one,
All that is mine, lovely one,
All that is mine, my dear,
When you walk or rest,
When you sing or sleep,
When you suffer or dream,
Always,
When you are near or far,
Always,
You are mine, my lovely one,
Always.

A Secret...
I have a secret,
Can you keep it?
I caught a fairy!
Her wings were dusted with glittered dreams,
Her eyes glimmered crystal blue,
Her face glistening like morning dew,
Hair like nothing I’d never seen
Flowing down past her knees,
Softly swaying in the gentle breeze,
A toasted gold colour, Dorothy’s shoes,
I was fixated, helplessly amused.
The shine of her golden skin,
As intense as the beaming sun,
So crisp and bronze like toasted wishes,
It could not seize to stun.
I stood in awe,
At such a gleeful sight,
Rising above me,
Filling the clouds with wondrous light
She twinkled away,
Dancing with the pastel stars,
Plunging past the dreamy moon,
Beaming the colours of mars,
Her wings fluttering,
Plucking up forgotten dreams,
The galaxy muttering,
“Nothing they’d ever seen”.
I turned and chuckled to myself,
I’d caught her she was mine,
No one else would ever know,
About the fairy I’d captured in my mind.

I Can See It In Your Eyes
The first time I saw you
I felt weak inside
I search my heart and mind
For words I couldn't find.
Some how you seemed to see
What came over me that night
As a love began to grow
That would last for all time.
And you said, ''I can see it in your eyes
They're the windows to your soul
Sometimes they say more
Than words could ever hope.''
''We could wait a thousand lifetimes
Then never feel like this again
But when you look at me, that way
I can see it in your eyes.''
Later on I asked your hand
And I prayed the time was right
I knelt down on one knee
And said, ''Would you be my bride?''
Then the sound of silence
Filled the air as your tears fell
With mine, you didn't have to say
A word for me to realize.
And I said, ''I can see it in you eyes
They're the window to your soul.''
''I see dreams come alive
And future plans unfold.''
''I could wait a thousand lifetimes
Then not find a perfect love again.''
''When you look at me, that way
I can see it in your eyes.''
Many years have come and gone
And what a life we've made
Now again we search for words
As the heart inside me breaks
Until death do we part
Were the vows we made
And now the time has come
But goodbye's so hard to say.
But I can see it in your eyes
They're the windows to your soul
The light of life is burning but
Soon you're leaving me, I know
But time that's left is precious dear
So please don't shed another tear
You don't have to say a word
I can see it in your eyes.
I've heard you say a thousand times
I'll love you dear, until I die
But you don't have to say a word
I can see it in your eyes...

Fool or Fallen?
You’re cute, cuddly but you’re in my space
I don’t have a partner but do you think you can take that place?
I must warn you though, I won’t easily back down
You’re my other half, the smile to my frown
You’re alone, catching my chance to speak
I really must look strange, just like a freak
But I’ve got to give this a try
I have to stop making stupid lies
Your smile, my god, angels could fall
The killer looks… when were you this tall?
The closer I get the faster my heart beats
It takes my everything to keep moving my feet
So close, your eyes shine so bright
Shining with an almost angelic light
I’m talkative, never stop, but with you I can’t say a word
My heart beats and flaps like a caged bird
But you spoke to me and I stood like a fool
I’m shocked you’re always so quiet just listening and looking cool
Small talk, so easy and light ‘Are you ok? ’ ‘Will you go out with me? ’
WAIT! What did I just say? Oh how stupid can I be?
Silence descends, my face oh so red, you throw a devilish smile
Your eyes glow, my heart slows, please let me be in denial
Your face close, whispers barely heard, but I heard that word, my face utter shock
A slow ‘yes’, then our eyes lock, now my thoughts have been blocked
I’m not one to be childish but now I must say
My dream came so true on that fateful day
For forever and always these words will ring true
Yes I love you and you love me too

Eternal Circle
I sang the song slowly
As she stood in the shadows
She stepped to the light
As my silver strings spun
She called with her eyes
To the tune is a-playin
But the song it was long
And Id only begun
Through a bullet of light
Her face was reflectin
The fast fading words
That rolled from my tongue
With a long-distance look
Her eyes was on fire
But the song it was long
And there was more to be sung.
My eyes danced a circle
Across her clear outline
With her head tilted sideways
She called me again
As the tune drifted out
She breathed hard through the echo
But the song it was long
And it was far to the end
I glanced at my guitar
And played it pretendin
That of all the eyes out there
I could see none
As her thoughts pounded hard
Like the pierce of an arrow
But the song it was long
And it had to get done
As the tune finally folded
I laid down the guitar
Then looked for the girl
Whod stayed for so long
But her shadow was missin
For all of my searchin
So I picked up my guitar
And began the next song

The Metaphor Of The Mirror And The Light
there is this face
in the mirror and it is talking to the body
to remind its skin
that it is real,
lights are turned off
and the face only hears a voice
from its mouth
it is assured still that it is a face
of someone it knew
so well
and will not deny it
the voice faded in darkness
and the face
hears nothing
and sees nothing about
its skin
and eyes
it is dark
and there is no voice anymore
except the
silence
and the loneliness that is about
to make a scream
to the mirror
that had long shut itself
because there is no light
the face demands a voice
the mirror begs for light
for the voice is a security
that life exists
and the light is the only
anchor of the mirror
when it becomes a boat
in the sea
of emptiness
but there is no light
and there is no voice
the mirror breaks the silence
the face becomes the wind
there is no boat
much less an anchor
there is only a word written
on paper
left on the floor
and it is spoken for no
one....

We Close Our Eyes
We close our eyes
We close our eyes and dream and the world has turned around again
When everybody is running in the big race
And having a good time
Who am I to cast a shadow
Who am i?
I looked death in the face last night
I saw him in a mirror
And he simply smiled
He told me not to worry
He told me just to take my time
Chorus:
We close our eyes and the world has turned around again
We close our eyes and dream and another year has come and gone
We close our eyes and the world has turned around again
We close our eyes and dream ...
And if you come to me
And if you touch my hand
I might just slip away
I might just disappear
Who am i?
And if you think Im worth it
And if you think its not too late
We might start falling
If we dont try to hard
We might start falling in love
(chorus)
Were on the healing path
Were on a roller coaster ride
That could never turn back
And if you love me
And if you really try
To make the seconds count
Then we can close our eyes
(chorus)
We close our eyes and the world has turned around again

Do Not Worry
Take your right hand,
Palm facing up,
And line your fingers
With your teeth.
Hold firmly onto the roof of your mouth.
Do the same with your left hand,
But grip your chin.
Move your hands in opposite directions
Until you hear your jaw cracking
Against the pressure
You put yourself through.
Let your face relax
Back into place.
Let your elastic skin
Rubber-band back into the folds
Sagging over the shadows on your face.
Let it cover your wrinkles
And worry lines.
Then, try again.
Try to unfold your head.
Open it like a book.
Expose your throat to the wind
To let it blow the words
You couldn't speak away.
Split your lips at the seams,
So that a smile may spread its way
Across your rigid cheeks.
Do not worry when your skull
Whacks against your back
And ricochets into the air.
Do not worry when your jaw
Slaps and swings at your chest
By the light current of the breeze.
Do not worry when your blood
Spills all over,
Drenching the dirty ground
And the eyes of everyone
As they watch you
Pull yourself apart.
Do not worry.

Mama A Dream I Live With
in each morning there is a smile
in each mama there there is love
to hold it boldly and tightly
so sweet, so deep in my heart
to keep it worm, safe and secured
your simile, your eyes, that wrinkled face
that smooth hands now old with folded skin
i cherish, always
.
allow me to say
That part down deep in my heart
you still hold the best
never one may replace you
mama. never. never mama,
make another to me,
to the day when i end my life
the first you were to me
many days in that womb
that temperament, when eating from you
you made my life, so real, bright and sweet
i still remember, that
in tough time you kept caring me
in hard time you kept holding me
in terror nights, you capt carrying me
in cold and rainy time, you never leave me
you only slept, when am asleep
in whatever i faced, you were there to help
emotionally with grace and trials you cared best
in every morning light as another dream
you only catch my feeling
that i never had gone out of them
always i will keep you as a dream
i hold inside down deep my heart.
