The Universe Ever Evolving Into Violence
There is an ominous death tone
Ringing louder than a telephone
Set on maximum volume
For the near deaf
Or those still listening
From shallow graves.
Ear-piercing shrieks
Emanate from
Afternoon freaks
Gathering beneath rain clouds
To write murderous poetry,
Entangled in new vines
In the jungle of disturbed minds.
I heard mutilated words
Spoken in schizophrenic confusion
While anger flared skyward,
Incandescent heat consuming
Sacred love and harmony;
The last tattered membranes
Of crippled reason
Were disintegrating
Like dried autumn leaves
Or an abandoned lover’s needs.
Books were opening
And fluttering around
Like agitated birds,
While trapped ghosts,
Suspended in useless time,
Were frantically
Searching for holes
In the universe
Ever evolving into violence.

It's the Tattered End of Autumn
It’s the tattered end of autumn,
when the beech tree’s yellow dress
has rusted
and a thick carpet
of mustard
lies rotting underfoot.
It’s the tattered end of autumn,
when the white bones of the birch
are exposed
and its last leaves
cling
like baby koalas.
It’s the tattered end of autumn
when single leaves
dance solos
and next door’s blower
disturbs
the stillness of mid afternoon.
It’s the tattered end of autumn
when bed beckons
and the moon is bright,
and you and I touch toes
tenderly
under the doona.

Every Dream Is True
The midnight streets
Howl viciously
Like a wild cat
In the jungle vines
Of disintegrating minds,
But you and I can smile
In the soft rain,
We’ll be together
When the summer flowers
Exude perfume.
On a lilac afternoon,
I will kiss your
Adorably gorgeous stomach
With a sleeping child within
Counting the days
Until she excitedly
Enters the world
Of possibilities.
Your invisible wings
Are angelic and sweet,
We’ll go to heaven
On floating umbrellas
Laughing carefree prayers.
Never linger and cry
Beneath streetlights
On the city’s unhappy avenues,
Come home with me,
Every dream is true.

Beating Of Hearts
Do you know what noise awakes you
Every morning from your bed
A-coming from the farthest hillside
A-coming from inside your head
You have heard
You have heard the loudest sound
In this and every world you can think of
Chorus: louder than tanks on the highway
Louder than bombers in flight
Louder than noises of hatred
Dancing us from darkest night is the rhythm of love
Powered on the the beating of hearts
And did you know you had this power?
Drumming on it always stays
Never try to use it badly
Tunes of good are all it plays
You have heard
You have heard the loudest sound
In this and every world you can visit
Chorus
For a heart without love is a song with no words
And a tune to which no-one is listening
So your heart must give love and youll find that
You shine like rain on the leaves youll be glistening
You have heard
You have heard the loudest sound
In this and every world you can think of
Louder than thoughts of dictators
Louder than rattling swords
Louder than loading of rifles
Louder than screaming warlords
Chorus

Prostitutes And Waitresses
I’m frantically searching
My disintegrating mind for prayers
Alone somewhere abandoned by humanity.
I’m so used to soul-crushing silence,
If I hear a woman’s voice,
I stop on a dime.
I mutter to stray dogs
In the freezing city rain
To remind myself I’m alive.
Everything has become surreal,
I’ve been asked to leave dark bars
Where the prostitutes and waitresses
All have tattoos and scars.
I’ve accepted these things,
I’ve ceased searching for explanations
For why my night skies
Have gone starless
And why I continue
To entertain a lifetime of despair.

Pirouetting Autumn
The tree blushed - a rude blast of air
Betrayed a shapely bough.
My saddened heart aware
That Nature's clock was chiming,
I froze upon the twelfth
Clanging tone, caught alone,
Staring at a creaking door -
Left ajar for dancing, coloured Autumn,
Pirouetting in her leaves,
While agitated summer creatures
Backed away resignedly,
Sighing in protracted breves.
I turned; gave company;
We stood together, watching
Summer slowly blow away.

We Name
We name and keep listening
To the heavenly voices
Which collide with the words
I recite from old books and new.
We kept on searching for the reason,
As much as the only one,
It gave an answer to our speech,
Of a knowing station.
We all listen to the blind and deaf,
As we are both of them,
As well as human can help,
But why do you see more?

In God's Volume of Poetry
The moonlight words
And the Sunday prayers,
The bike rides
Among autumn leaves,
The winter kisses
Beneath warm blankets,
Holding your hand
In a hospital room,
Crying all night beside you;
All of this and more,
Forever record my love for you
And it is written in God’s volume of poetry.

A Revolution Poetry Is....!
Are you writing words of rhythm according to thoughts?
Or are you coining words of thoughts according to rhythm?
Or are you writing poetry both working at the same time?
Asking so, if they ask me how to write poetry, what shall I say?
Poetry writing is natural, spontaneous expression from heart!
How can this be taught to anyone to write poetry ever at all?
Poetry is a spontaneous flow of words direct from heart ever!
I wonder many a time how am I writing poetry at all ever!
But this is happening to my great surprise since longtime!
Due to engagements ever poetry only I am able to write
Though my aim in the beginning was writing stories.....,
Novels, short stories and nonfiction articles of criticism!
Poetry books too I have completed writing so since long
But what a pity there is no reception for poetry books...!

Are You Listening
Are you listening to my words
When I say them
Do you hear me when I need you most
Sometimes I feel like you not listening
Are you deaf?
Am i not speaking clear?
If I clear my throat and speak louder
Are you listening to me
Do you hear the words from my mouth
Is my voice to low?
Maybe if I speak louder maybe even scream it
Are you listening

From Severe Sorrow He Almost Went Mad
(after Robert Ranke Graves)
From severe sorrow he almost went mad
when he suddenly saw some strange things
in nature and the universe
and maybe it came from to much sorrow;
he noticed small things like falling leaves,
the smallest white flower slowly opening,
the first tiny whistle of a small bird,
thunder hitting far in the distance
even rocks glistening with black metal,
he even saw wings of birds fluttering,
the movement of every small snake,
but between life and death he could not reach
and he could not look at his buried wife
or living go to that other kingdom.

Freaks On This Side
Freaks on this side, the freaks on this side {x8}
When u cant find the reason 4 the smoke
Theres probably water in the fire
When everything u know aint enough 2 float your boat
And ure lookin 4 somethin thatll take u higher
Chorus:
U got 2 get down (freaks on this side, the freaks on this side)
2 a brand new sound (freaks on this side, the freaks on this side)
In the water ull drown (freaks on this side, the freaks on this
Side)
But the lost is found (freaks on this side, the freaks on this side)
Come on, baby
When confusion tries 2 tear your world apart
And the demons fight 4 power
Thats the time u got 2 listen 2 your heart
No one knows the final hour
Chorus
When u see an illusion everywhere u look
When u know the process of creation
When u understand everything in every book
Congratulations - ure in the new power generation!
(freaks on this side, the freaks on this side) {x4}
The freaks on this side! {x3}
When everybody calls the truth by a different name
And the indifference between us still remains
God is love, love is God - simple and plain
Party in this way, theres so much more 2 gain
(freaks on this side, the freaks on this side) {repeat 2 end}
(get on down, down, down, down, down)
Freaks on this side
We drownin (get on down, down, down, down, down)
Yeah, yeah
U got 2 get down
(u got 2 get down) {x2}
Its new power generation
And ure groovin 2 another jam of the year
Think it aint when it is
And we be drownin
Glug, glug like a mug
Looka here - freak on this side
The freaks on this side
Looka here - on this side
On this side
The freaks on u got it on this side

Bells In My Heart
I heard church bells ringing- ringing quite clear
I heard the church bells ringing- deafening my ears.
I looked all around and yet I could not see
Any places of worship even close to me.
That was when I realized that the ringing
Was coming from my heart.
Because it was you who captured it
Right from the start.
You entered my life like the earth enters
the day- and forever you would stay.
The bells are ringing with every passing
Thought of you, and it tells me all that I must do.
And to keep this love- to you I must be true.
I sometimes ask myself how can this be?
The bells toll louder every time you look at me.
Is this the way that love is really meant to be
That my heart is racing fast, and I feel wild and free.
We’ve all envisioned love and how it should be
But love is something you can not foresee.
Everyone sees love in a different way
And with your heart, love will play.
And love like a guitar that’s out of tune
You will lose it pretty soon.
So find the faults while you can
Tune that love and take your stand.
Now as I look at you I ask:
“Is this happening to only me
Or is our hearts singing in harmony”?

Hiding Behind Ignorance
The beauty within you,
Is crippled by your mind.
Aggressive, hostile, selfish and shy.
The intelligence within you,
Is crippled by your mind.
Greed, dishonesty, prejudice and pride.
The love within you,
Is crippled by your mind.
Anger, hurt, cruelty and hate.
The happiness within you,
Is crippled by your mind.
Depression, envy, fear and regret.
The acceptance within you,
Is crippled by your mind.
Racism, violence, horror and crime.

An autumn storm
An autumn storm
~
The sky turned grey, clouds rolled over
A wind picked up howling through trees
Birds took flight, flew into hiding
Rain patted down gathering pace
The horizon drew a charcoal grey
While winds picked up and rain ran down
Windows rattled, trees swayed
Whistling high pitch, almost screaming
The storm it came and raged wild
Then as quickly, as sudden as it came
It broke to clear skies, wisps of cloud
A gentle wind rolling through leaves
Rain soaked water dripping down
Drying in the sun now shining
An autumn storm in its passing
Captured the imagination to write
On an otherwise ordinary day

New Season
Up from the hills and down through the valley,
A stream whispers unendingly a fading melody,
As it continues on its aimless journey.
The blazing heat scorching innocent vegetation,
Green leaves gently fading to brown.
The grass shriveled up;
Wilted, forgotten and began to die.
Up high in the treetops birds yet sing their songs,
In ritual of prayers to their gods.
Their songs heard even beyond the blue skies.
Suddenly everything changes,
From elsewhere came the darkening clouds;
Stopping over.................,
The shadow obscuring the sun.
Then the rumble of the rolling thunder
overpowers the birds gentle songs,
The mighty thunder scares the birds.
Trees fall silent as the clouds darkens thick;
It sends down a single drop;
Then another and yet another one.
They patter on the leaves then onto the ground.
In no time the mighty delude overpowers the streams
as it floods to the banks swallowing dirty from the bush.
It cleans the forest as it prepares for the new season
to rein.
As the downpour ceases;
Like birds even trees shake drops of rain to the ground.
The birds tease the summer as it runs away from the
coming season, They bid farewell to it.
The branches swing as they rejoice
to welcome king Autumn.
Vegetation sinking beneath the earth,
Holding firm; it begins to grow in full bloom.
With flowers all over
Giving thanks to the mighty AUTUMN.

In my little country, faraway from you
It is two o’clock in the morning
And you are not asleep yet
Disturbed you confessed
About something
This love
This love that has disappointed you
To my surprise
You are in a mood for a fight
You ask
Is it you
Is it really you hidden?
Buried beneath my words
You ask me to tell you honestly
We are friends
We do not intend to hurt
I tell you then it is not you
It is never you it will never be you
Now sleep
It is getting very late
You need to rest you are in pain
You need to dream all the sweetest dreams
In my country it is still an afternoon
We have coffee
The sun begins to set
There is no anger here there is no disappointment
About love or any other feeling
I am reminded though
Again I have to tell you
That which angers you has finally conquered you.
Dinner is served, faraway you must be asleep.
I do not dine alone. We still have jokes to tell.
Some more poems to write, this time, perhaps sadder.

Autuemn's Leave's Of Royalty
As the wind caressed playfully by my side,
It brought up the Autumn leaves that engulfed the sky,
Spreading colors of red, orange, yellow, the colors of you,
Like dust in the wind. You were a lovely rose dancing astray,
In my mind, soul, heart you were there to stay,
Whispering louder for if people should hear,
The words ‘I loved you” were very clear,
As it lifted me into the sky piercing me with its power,
I was enveloped in the leaves belonging to your royalty,
Love was enchanted in these magical leaves, For your heart to mine,
For they meant I belonged to you

Other one's words
We all go to sleep
With someone’s words
In our minds
Words of kindness
Words of anger
Words of every kind
They carry us off to sleep
And perhaps temper
And shape our dreams
Words said in caring
The most soothing
it seems
In anger or sadness
In calm and in madness
Words in our minds, we’ll find
As we drift off to sleep
Be it fretful or deep…and
Our mind slowly lowers it’s blinds
We all go to sleep… be it shallow or deep
Hearing some other one’s…
Words in our minds
