Small Bridge Over A Little Creek

We enter the world with our parents being
Roughly twenty to thirty years older than us;
That distance of time at first seems
Like an unimaginable gulf of eternity
Through our first twenty years;
There is no concept that they are remotely like us
Facing the same difficulties and challenges;
They are simply older authoritarian figures,
Albeit kind and loving authoritarian figures.

Somewhere after our first twenty years
We begin to view them as human,
Maybe in a judgmental fashion,
Maybe in an understanding fashion;
Maybe we begin to even notice the similarity
Of physical features and personal characteristics
With which we share;
We may even seek their wisdom and guidance
In concerns of the heart like marriage
Or concerns of economical survival.

Then one day when we are approaching fifty,
They are now seventy or eighty and mostly likely
Securely in decline;
We ourselves have declined since days of youth
With issues of weight or graying hair or hair loss
And we realize now that the distance of time
That was once a gulf of eternity is now a small bridge
Over a little creek;
We can see in their suffering the journey
We will soon commence.

It is a journey of farewell to joy,
Gradual bidding adieu to activities and pleasures
That we are no longer capable of performing
Or for which we can no longer gain satisfaction;
Sporting activities will give way to walking
And walking will give way to sitting or resting;
Sexual appetite will cease to exist
Or at least to find meaningful expression,
But often we are given a strong solace
In enduring affections and gestures
Such as kissing and touching hands;
Even the joy of a meal begins to cease
In upset stomach or regurgitation
Or in some cases the complete inability to swallow.

All that is left is the extinguishing of light
To the earthling kingdom
And the entering into an unknown kingdom
That could be heaven or hell or reincarnation
Or simply becoming nutrients for the revitalization of the earth;
Wherever the next kingdom leads, we inevitably must go;
And everything in this kingdom that we cherish,
We have no choice but to relinquish.

A Belief Of Eternity

when i get to be fifty
i begin to know the nature of the hours
i am getting familiar with its hands
that i cannot really hold them
even as friends and so i have become
tolerant about its
vices the way it is giving me another
color of my hair
the wrinkles in my hands
the weakness of my knees
and the early exhaustion of my feet
when i try to walk farther distance again
in the same manner
as it is not giving me much favor
i learn to simply accept it
as a fact
and i let it go like the way how
a lover junks me sometimes
giving me the feeling that somehow
i am no longer desirable
but i am not the kind that surrenders easily
thus when time betrays me
i too
give it what it deserves
i begin to forget it
and the hours are spilled like i do not
need it too
and then when they are all consumed
and i am all consumed
i register in my mind all the memories i had
many years back
there is no regret
i have loved all the way
when i was younger
and i take them all with me in my final journey
where time itself
is not a part because in there it does not exist at all
because i have always believed
that i am not just this
flesh and bone and skin and skull
i am more than all these
and i am no slave of time
not its subject
i am into eternity where time too does not end
i am into timelessness
so filled now with all happiness.

A Heads-Up From On High

Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven
and
the Kingdom of Heaven’s within

Except that you come through Me,
you cannot enter Heaven –
But
seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven –

Look!
The Kingdom of Heaven’s within

***
I’ve given you the key here,
I’m telling you I’m right here

I am in Heaven and
I am in you
And I can never be
anywhere else –
See, the Kingdom of Heaven
Lies deep within you
And I am in Heaven, too

Heaven is a state of being,
it’s not a place to go,
because, as I’ve told you,
so many times,
it’s within to yourself
you must go

There you must look,
like it says in the Book,
and My promise is, you will find Me

You’ve just got to realize
That I will never tell lies
And I’ve told you,
The Kingdom’s within!

Keys To The Kingdom

The keys to Heaven’s Kingdom, open up eternal things to come,
They’re keys that you do receive, when in Christ you do believe.
A Truth revealed to us from, The God of Heaven about His Son,
That His Son is indeed The Christ, and in The Son we have life.
Christ dear friend is The Key, to open hearts and minds to see,

This Truth will help you to see, that God’s Kingdom is in Eternity,
Eternal truth of God from above, the Truth of God’s Eternal Love.
Keys that open up Truth of God, on this earth we presently trod.
To reach men of every nation, with the keys to God’s Salvation.
With the Keys we will enter in, His Eternal Kingdom with no sin.

He will build His Church with us, as in Christ men place their trust,
Living stones upon one foundation, Christ our Rock and Salvation.
All Authority is given to the Son, to build the Church and Kingdom.
His Authority gives men power, to live for Him each day and hour.
To share this access with others, bringing to Christ many brothers.

Access we receive from Christ, is used by God through every life,
With access comes responsibility, helping other men come to see,
It’s His Name we must confess, the name of Christ to gain access.
Whatever you bind on this earth, will become for you eternal worth,
And whatever you do not bind, upon this earth, shall be left behind.

You must deny your earthly plan, when you follow The Son of Man,
Dying to our worldly needs, to share with men The Kingdom’s Keys,
Becoming for Him a living sacrifice, to gain New Life in Jesus Christ.
Leading men from the dark of night, into the Kingdom’s Eternal Light,
This by passing on the only Keys, to His Kingdom that will not cease.

Twenty year old friendship

Twenty year old friendship

It was this month
Twenty years ago
I came across you
And took you with me
Since then
You are my conscious keeper
I looked at you
For anything and every thing
I look at you
As soon I wake up
I look at you
As I take my breakfast
I look at you
As I leave for office
Whenever there are challenges
I look at you
And you always give me a breather
And you used to say
There is time still
When I look at you in the event
Of an unfavourable situation
You smile with your hands spread
And say
You should have done something about this
Much earlier
Whenever I am in a rush
Whether it is to attend a meeting
Or to catch a flight, train or bus
I look at you
You will say either there is time still
Or you should have left earlier
It is difficult to say
As to when I have not consulted you
Every now and then
I look at you
And you never failed me
You were prompt although
To give me the help I need
I will not say you kept me on my toes
But, yes, you helped me keep my times
Any event, joyful or otherwise
As soon as it occurred
I would look at you
You kept me telling indirectly
That things keep pace with time
And change
Your message was always
That time is the best healer
And is the best in sorting issues
As you know time puts things
At their right place
For all these I have done nothing to you
But to feed you
With a small disc
This feed is good enough for you
To keep yourself performing
For months
You might have fallen sick
Thrice in these twenty years
Never once I spent
More than the consultation fee, which I pay
To my medical practitioner
I see of late
You are running slow
Because of this long twenty years’ running
May be, soon I will stop
Consulting you
And I am planning to put you to rest
My dear, twenty years old Titan watch

Kingdom Come

See the white light
The light within
Be your own disciple
Fan the sparks of will
For all of us waiting
Our kingdom has come

Rays of power shinning
Rays of magic fall
On the golden voice that speaks within us all
For all of us waiting
Your kingdom will come

Kingdom Come

Feel the white light
The light within
Yea it burns a fire that drives a man to win
For all of us waiting
Your kingdom will come

Kingdom Come

Words of power
Calling to us all
Holding us together while other kingdoms fall
No longer waiting
Our kingdom has come

Kingdom Come

Kingdom comming
Another kingdom falls
The rightful are waiting
But all are not rightful
Wait and receive the weight of the fall

Kingdom Come

Twenty Days

Twenty days are barely gone,
I was merry all the day.
Folly was my butt of scorn.
Now the fool myself I play.

Wit and learning ruled my head,
Logic and economy.
All the books I ever read
Taught me only vanity.

Most of all it moved my mirth
Womankind the world should rule.
Man, the lord of all the Earth!
He, forsooth, a woman's tool!

Cherry lip and glancing eye!
What were rosy cheeks to me?
Beauty's truth was but a lie--
Witness tomes of history!

Twenty days had barely run.
Twenty years they well might be.
All my wisdom was undone,
Reason bade good--night to me.

Her hair was of the red red gold,
Her blue eyes looked me through and through.
She was twenty--three years old,
I was twenty years and two.

Fortune, fame, I freely give,
Honour's self, if so she please,
Sweetly in her smile to live
Other twenty days like these.

God's Kingdom

PART 1
[INSPIRED BY LEO TOLSTOY]

More than a hundred years gone
since a thought by this great man
to put an end to man's kingdom
to be a part of god's kingdom

A kingdom which need not bind
bind itself to a boundary
a kingdom which need not safeguard
guarding men need not war over a boundary

a nation without a boundary
a nation which would'nt war for a boundary
would'nt be a man's kingdom
yes...truely a god's kingdom

how do you curb atrocities without a war
India did it fifty years back without a war
Mahatma's ahimsa was an offshoot of Tolstoy's passive resistance
Tolstoy was Gandhi's inspiration

The Long Journey,

The Long Journey,
The Long Journey is not an End,
The mean's is in my own Suffering,
Maturity that Brought this Kingdom,
My Attitude was to face the Hardships with Grace and Mercy,
The Rope is all Never Ending,
I meant that the LONG JOURNEY is LOVE AND PEACE,
During this Hardship's,
There are no Moment in me called Sleep,
Since it is in Grace that we see the Long Journey to Eternity,
The Birds will Bring that Flight,
That Eternity will be seen on me and Mankind will get Rewards for Good Done,
Evil will Fade,
Eternity will be Brought on all Four Creature's that Worship Jesus all Moments,

Treat Each Living Second As Your Last

When I was five how I wanted to be ten,
I just longed to be a young man,
My mind would wander now and then,
I wanted to be in the grown ups clan.

When I reached ten I thought of being twenty,
By then I'd be driving my car,
Time for the future, well I still had plenty,
Getting older was a distance to far.

Now I've hit twenty I've nothing to fear,
Time fades past me so slow,
I'm still a young man so I've nothing to fear
I've still got a long time to go.

Thirty years old and it's still not too bad,
I've a wife and children I love,
My health is good I love being a dad,
My life is truly a gift from above,

The big four zero has finally come,
I now watch, as my parents grow old,
The thought of that is making me feel numb,
As I know it cannot be controlled.

I'm now in my fifties my children have flown,
This life can be really strange,
Back when I was five I wish I had known,
Growing older you cannot exchange.

Be careful what you wish for it may come true,
Cherish life for it's far too short,
Enjoy what you have age you cannot subdue,
When you're young these facts you distort.

I'm now eighty years old how I wish I were five,
Hindsight's such a wonderful thing,
All those I loved dearly would still be alive,
I'd be thinking of what the future might bring.

You must live for today forget tomorrow,
Just be thankful for being alive,
Though there will be joy as well as sorrow,
It's how we cope that makes us all thrive.

Life is precious don't ever wish it away,
When it's gone it becomes part of the past,
Enjoy your years every wondrous day,

‘' Treat Each living Second As Your Last ‘'

The Suicide

For fifty years,
Cruel, insatiable Old World.
You have punched me over the heart
Till you made me cough blood.
The few paltry things I gathered
You snatched out of my hands.
You have knocked the cup from my thirsty lips.
You have laughed at my hunger of body and soul.

You look at me now and think,
'He is still strong,
There ought to be twenty more years of good punching there.
At the end of that time he will be old and broken,
Not able to strike back,
But cringing and crying for leave
To live a little longer.'

Those twenty, pitiful, extra years
Would please you more than the fifty past,
Would they not, Old World?
Well, I hold them up before your greedy eyes,
And snatch them away as I laugh in your face,
Ha! Ha!
Bang —!

Twenty Years Ago

It's been a long time since I walked
Through this old town
But oh how the memories start to flow
And there's the old movie house
They finally closed it down
You could find me there every Friday night
Twenty years ago.
I worked the counter at the drugstore down the street
But nobody's left there I would know
On Saturday mornings that's where
All my friends would meet
You'd be surprised to know what a dime would buy
Twenty years ago.
All my memories from those days come gather round me
What I'd give if they could take me back in time
It almost seems like yesterday
Where do the good times go?
Life was so much easier twenty years ago.
I guess I should stop by Mr. Johnson's hardware store
His only son was my friend Joe
But he joined the army back in 1964
How could we know he would never come back
Twenty years ago...

Fifty Years Of Marriage

With dye and hair colouring they cover their gray
Their fifty years of marriage they celebrate today
Through fifty years of marriage they have argued their way
In their love hate relationship one well might say.

Their better days one can say for them are long gone
And they age without grace though time is ticking on
Their children are grand-parents and the years on them show
Since they too are ageing and their fastest pace slow.

Fifty happy years together by some we are told
But others who know them well and with their words more bold
Will tell you they never did see eye to eye
But why they stay together one must wonder why.

They have stayed together for so many years
One can hardly say of them the lovely old dears
Since they both are quite quarrelsome and grumpy as well
Perhaps without quarrels life for them would be hell.

Fifty years together and the same bed they share
Yet even in public places at each other they swear
Such marriages as their's suppose never were rare
They are not the World's only dysfunctional pair.

Today their descendants will celebrate the marriage of their Pop and Gran
And applaud this wonderful woman and man
But the truth of their marriage they will never tell
How they seem to enjoy giving each other hell.

The Year 2113

Year 2113,
Blazed the bill-board.
In the city named Earth
Moved about young people.
No senior citizens, no babies,
Only the youth; born young,
From birth tubes.
Human beings inhabit Earth,
In perfect harmony with the elements,
Made consistent by them.

No morning rush for office,
No monotonous household chores.
Everyday, for a few hours, one works,
On one's personal Super Computer,
The rest of the day is one's own to spend.
One would think they enjoy life to the full,
But they are busy bees in search of time
To add to their allocated twenty-five years.

Time is the new currency,
It measures wealth, power and happiness.

At birth each person is gifted
Twenty five years of life.
Everyone has the right to add
Seconds, minutes and hours
Or even to lose them injudiciously.
Time can be increased by ingenuity,
Force, skill, begging and borrowing.
One can gain it by physical favours too.
Survival of the fittest is prevalent.
One has to be competent in adding to
Their share of twenty-five years.

One earns in time and pays in time,
Earnings automatically add time,
Payments subtract it.
From I D cards stamped on their hands,
Everyone can check the time left to them.
When the card shows ‘0'; one falls dead.
No need for doctors, no hospitals.
Physically you are in perfect health,
Only your time on earth is over.
You are replaced by another being,
Time allotted - Twenty-five years.

Crimes are all time related;
Stealing, cheating, misleading,
Murder by taking away time.
Offenders are punished by time deletion,
(According to the severity of the crime) .
The ultimate punishment meted out
To a time felony is
Taking away time forever.
Permanence in death is a deterrent to crime.
When nothing else stops criminals,
The final punishment of obliteration does.

People at times reach saturation.
They have lived hundreds of years,
Earning time by various activities,
Both legal and illegal;
Stealing from the feeble and the gullible.
Having lived long enough,
They decide to end their lives.
They make the necessary announcement
And arrange to give away time in charity.
Ostentatiously they donate their time and die.
They become heroes.

The term'die' is a misnomer.
No one actually dies in the year 2113.
Death is not final, as we understand it,
Except for grave offenders,
Who have forfeited their right to live.
The genes are kept safely, and;
After a lot of official consideration
Certain changes are made in them.
After a refreshing rest of a decade or two,
People are reborn as new personalities,
With a generous gift of Twenty-five years.

The Kingdom

Now we are come to our Kingdom,
And the State is thus and thus;
Our legions wait at the Palace gate—
Little it profits us.
Now we are come to our Kingdom!

Now we are come to our Kingdom,
And the Crown is ours to take—
With a naked sword at the Council board,
And under the throne the snake.
Now we are come to our Kingdom !

Now we are come to our Kingdom,
And the Realm is ours by right,
With shame and fear for our daily cheer,
And heaviness at night.
Now we are come to our Kingdom !

Now we are come to our Kingdom,
But my love's eyelids fall.
All that I wrought for, all that I fought for,
Delight her nothing at all.
My crown is of withered leaves,
For she sits in the dust and grieves.
Now we are come to our Kingdom !

My Kingdom

My kingdom is not the land
on which I stand,
nor any material thing I own.
It is not the air I share,
with friends and family.
My kingdom is simply me
and the person I am inside.
If you hide yourself in my kingdom,
you hide yourself in me
and then I will be your protector
from the outside reality.

Seven Watchmen

1918

Seven Watchmen sitting in a tower,
Watching what had come upon mankind,
Showed the Man the Glory and the Power,
And bade him shape the Kingdom to his mind.
"All things on Earth your will shall win you."
('Twas so their council ran)
" But the Kingdom--the Kingdom is within you,"
Said the Man's own mind to the Man.
For time--and some time--
As it was in the bitter years before
So it shall be in the over-sweetened hour--
That a man's mind is wont to tell him more
Than Seven Watchmen sitting in a tower.

Prayer for My Late Mother

My Dearest Lord, Jesus,
Thank you for giving me
The best mum in the entire world,

February Twenty Six,
Twenty Twelve,
She accepted the Lord's call
After suffered from terminal cancer

Most merciful Lord Jesus
I beg you, have Mercy on her
To pardon her sins,
Grant her the grace and your forgiveness

Lord, Bless her soul
with eternal peace and rest
Give her happiness in your presence.
Let perpetual light shine upon her.

In company with Jesus & Holy Mother Mary,
Who died and now lives,
may she rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.

May she may live in Your kingdom
Forever and ever.

'Til Kingdom Come

One... two...
Steal my heart... and hold my tongue
I feel my time... my time has come
Let me in... unlock the door
I never felt this way before
And the wheels just keep on turning
The drummer begins to drum
I don't know which way I'm going
I don't know which way I've come
Hold my head... inside your hands
I need someone... who understands
I need someone... someone who hears
For you I've waited all these years
For you I'd wait... 'Til Kingdom Come
Until my day... my day is done
and say you'll come... and set me free
just say you'll wait... you'll wait for me
In your tears... and in your blood
In your fire... and in your flood
I hear you laugh... I heard you sing
I wouldn't change a single thing
And the wheels just keep on turning
The drummers begin to drum
I don't know which way I'm going
I don't know what I've become
For you I'd wait... 'Til kingdom come
Until my days... my days are done
Say you'll come... and set me free
Just say you'll wait... you'll wait for me
Just say you'll wait... you'll wait for me
