I’m Glad We Met In The Dark Places Of Eternal Rain
Heartbroken in the afternoon,
Melancholy in the city of my birth,
Alienated in rooms
Of laughter and conversation,
Alone beneath a shivering moon,
I simply pray to the fragile beauty
Of immense sadness and suicidal souls.
I know, dear friend, you are my soul-mate
In this disaster of our existence,
I will never fail to lift my hands
In sacred supplication for your wellbeing
As we journey through the shadowy corridors
Of this incarnation.

So scenic than the moon
Journey! journey! ! Journey! ! ! In my dream of infinity... Journey in the sky... Yes i saw the shivering moon. So scenic and adoring. So glamorous... And warmth it shined on me. But oh! It transmogriffied and moon i see no more but a queen. So scenic than the moon. Oh! Now i know your creator... That's why your beauty shines awesomely brighter than the moon.

Exhausted Rose
Motorcycle summer dawns,
Luna was magnificent in leather boots
Riding through avenues of flowers
In glorious yesterdays gone.
Laughter emanated from afternoon bars
While sexy gang kids in tattered jeans
And sacred t-shirts
Danced to urban beats on street corners.
There is too much time
For hospital stays
And suicidal departures
After love has faded
Like an exhausted rose.
There is no point
In a dream deferred for eternity
Or sexuality suppressed
For proper societal acceptance.
If you fail to live your romantic kiss,
It has been a perfumeless existence.

Fragile Wineglass
Everyone I know
Is a fragile wineglass
In a lonely, heartbroken woman’s hand
Who is about to faint in overwhelming sadness.
That is why love and compassion is essential
As you walk through this existence:
Everyone is beautiful but faltering
On the weary stairwell of despair.

Sweet Torture
My melancholy was gold dust in your hands;
On your long hands I scattered my life;
My sweetnesses remained clutched in your hands;
Now I am a vial of perfume, emptied
How much sweet torture quietly suffered,
When, my soul wrested with shadowy sadness,
She who knows the tricks, I passed the days
kissing the two hands that stifled my life

Lovely friend,
What can I say to you now
That wasn’t said
When we sat together
On the sunlit shore of friendship?
What tenderness of affection
Can I offer you?
What words of understanding
Written in the poetry of my heart
Can I convey to you?
Does God give your eyes in heaven
Earthly vision to see my tears?
Does God reassure you
There is nothing between us but love,
There is no judgment,
Only love, only understanding,
Only longing to hear your voice
In pleasant conversation.
Car rides to concert venues,
Sacred time at the zoo
Talking soul language of hope,
Summer sunlight listening to music
And walking avenues of midnight college streets
Of laughter and dreams,
I’ll never forget your smile
Or as Dylan says, “Your gentleness now,
Which you just can't help but show.”
What has time taken from us
Except the ability to express how we feel
In that repetition that is truth and friendship
And undeniable love,
But there was nothing about your existence
And beautiful humanity
That I ever experienced
As anything less than genuine
And from the heart.
We often talked of spirituality
And the returning of souls,
And I know, we’ll meet again
In a different place
And in a different incarnation,
Nothing will be forgotten
Nor erased
Until we continue
Our prayer-like conversation,
But tonight, lovely friend,
I’m reading the Bible,
Reading my poet hero King David,
He was hunted like an animal
By King Saul,
He thought surely Saul
Would kill him,
But David wept
When King Saul
And his son Jonathan
Perished together in battle,
And King David sang
Of his friend Jonathan,
“Thy love to me was wonderful,
Passing the love of women.”
2 Samuel 1: 17—27.

The City, the Solitude, the Soul
Every time
I try to fall in love with this city
I fail miserably.
Somewhere, perhaps
In a dirty corner,
In a nasty crevice,
In a squalid lane,
In the slush of drain
In some smoky street,
In some noisy cafes,
In the madness of tavern,
Above a haughty sky-scraper,
Down the corridors of power,
Under some dense cluster,
Under some muddy feet,
Is hiding its soul……..
There she writes,
About the historic aura
The grave of Omar Khayam,
About monsoon rains
Episoding the excruciating heat,
About peacocks and dance,
About bangles and romance,
About ruins, history, chance,
Poetry evoked by city,
Poetry! From filth, dirty,
An aimless roaming
In its airless streets,
The solitude in the sole
The soul in solitude,
In college, in university,
I try to fall in love with this city
I fail miserably.
I look at the elusive vehicles,
I look for soul,
I drink coffee with you,
I wish to drink from soul,
I listen to the grunt of donkeys,
I hobnob with the landlord,
I pay, I lodge,
Try to gather my peace,
I try to take it home,
Heart aches, heart says
‘Console it ably…….
The sole in solitude,
Try to fall in love with this city’
Every time I fall………
I fail miserably.
Somewhere it’s hiding,
I no longer look for it,
There are no stars to guide me,
Ah! The strange city,
The unfamiliar faces,
And solemn-looking ill graces,
This place is not mine,
In it’s richness and diversity,
Its grandeur, its poverty,
How could be its melancholy!
The sole is solitude,
The solitude, my soul
These people, these restive people,
This elusive immensity,
I can’t share my sole, my pride, my melancholy,
I say this with honesty,
I remain at ‘home’,
Remember my home,
My soul, my pride, my melancholy,
My people, my roots, my history……
I hate this city,
I’m telling you honestly!
I am a failure, a
I fail miserably…………

The Inward Beauty
Laughter the inward beauty
You come with Joy
So full & fresh
You come with happiness
The cure in sadness
You come with excitement
Mending the broken
Laughter the medicine
To our body & soul
The strength you give
The passion to carry on
When you come
Always within
Always on time
Ready to flow
Laughter, the inward beauty
so true, so faithful
Our inward beauty, laughter

A snowflake passed this way
Fragile is the mind
That cannot see a friend
Fragile too is the snowflake
Seeking sanctuary on my window sill
Both are anonymous to the world
The dreamers will see many snow flakes
Whose beauty we can only imitate
Within this gift, there is a place
That reminds us of the summer days to come
A garden for the soul
Where Friends are bees
That pollinates the spirit with love
For you too are part of a fragile world
Seeking life’s journey
A visitor within a snowflake
Beautiful and Unique
Born to melt away
In the heat of time
For it is an honour to know a life that others did not
To be chosen by this snowflake on my window sill
A memory for my garden to keep
And perhaps that is enough for anyone’s existence

How Sad This World Of Beauty Might Have Been
How sad this world of beauty might have been
How sad the leaves that do not know the beauty of their own green names
How sad the sound of sadness in its sinking down
How sad when no real sadness makes sadness so real
How sad and less than glad are we all
Savoring our own sadness-
Let it go away
Let it play elsewhere
Let joy and laughter make sadness a forgotten moment
Let joy and laughter even be our song to ourselves
Let's try
A new world is waiting for those capable of writing and listening to a poem
That has not a single note of sadness left in it.

To His Wife
O Pure of soul, and fond and deep of heart
For those who darkened be,
Lift up thy holy voice, at morn and eve,
And pray for me,—
For me, who for this thronging world’s hot strife
A prize hath brought to be
Among the known—but sweet too dearly earned;
Ah, pray for me.
Not aye the scholar’s path a track of peace,
Nor from the dread sins free;
Hard by the Isles of Truth doth Circe prowl;
Oh, pray for me.
The spirits’ hell-gloom and its hurricane
Round studious cells may be;
Thou patient Moon of Memory’s dreary sky,
Oh, pray for me.
When through thy well-known window, oped beneath
The uneasy, whispering tree,
Burn stars we children two have tried to count,
Then pray for me.
At hour of rest, and when the moon makes pleased
The melancholy sea,
And noon’s surcease of happy household toil,
Yes, pray for me.
Some solace for this wrung and rifted heart,
That, wheresoe’er thou be,
Thou wilt, God’s holiest gift, thou woman pure,
Yet pray for me.

O City, Look the Eastward Way
O CITY, look the Eastward way!
Beyond thy roofs of shadowy red and grey
Floats like a lily on the airy stream,
Radiant and vast, a cloud,
Around whose billowy head
Splendour from out the glooming West is shed
As if it were not ever to take flight,—
And on its edge of gleam
In the clear blue of waning afternoon,
Faint as a spirit slipping from the shroud,
Faint, and yet gathering light,
The Moon.
O city, dream and pray!
This is thy evensong at close of day.

Only Hope
Theres a sun thats inside of my soul
Its the one that I've tried to light over and over again
I will wake in the end then it goes
Will you sing to me over and over and over again
So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours I pray to be only yours
I know now your my only hope
Sing to me the song of the stars of your galaxies and singing laughing and laughing again
When it feels like my dreamz are so far
Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again
So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours I pray to be only yours
I know now your my only hope
I'm give you my destiny
I'm giving you part of me
I want your sympathy
Singing in all that I am
At the top of my life
I'm giving it all I have
So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours I pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now your my only hope

Prayer Contemplating Final Farewells
Most Compassionate Heart
Who created love as the mystical essence
That sustains the universe,
Be with us in the lonely hour
Of final farewells,
At the moment
When we must acquiesce
To contemplate
The beautiful eyes
Of a friend or loved one
For which we will never
Gaze into again,
The hands that will no longer
Clasp ours in kind unity,
The loving voice stilled
From which we found
Pleasure and solace,
The brother or sister
Who journeyed with us
Through mutual struggles,
The mother or father
Who conceived our heart
And carried us
Through the most fragile days
Of this earthly sojourn.
Guide us through the sorrow
To understand and accept your purposes,
Grant us the knowledge and ability
To incorporate our departed loved ones
Into our own being,
To remember every smile and friendly greeting,
To recall every wise conversation,
To not lose a single kiss
But to have those treasured experiences
Woven into the very fabric of our existence
So that there is no death but only life,
That our own capacity to love
May only grow and increase aided by those
Who live within us,
That our departed loved ones
May yet touch many lives
Using the kindness of our hands.
May we walk
In the candlelight of hope
That seems dramatically dimmed by immense sadness
But which you never allow to be completely extinguished.

How Frail Fragile And Vulnerable We All Are
HOW FRAIL FRAGILE AND VULNERABLE WE ALL ARE
How frail fragile and vulnerable we all are
How in an instant we can be destroyed –
Who knows where when how
The next Disaster will come?
Who knows who the next victims will be?
We pray it will not be us –
How frail fragile and vulnerable we all are
And who knows where when how
The next Disaster will come?

Only Hope
There's a song that's inside of my soul
It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again
I'm awake in the infinite cold
Would you sing to me over and over and over again?
So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now you're my only hope
Sing to me the song of the stars
Of your galaxy dancing and laughing, you're laughing again
When it feels like my dreams are so far
Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again
So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now you're my only hope
I gave you my apathy
I'm giving you all of me
I want your symphony
Singing in all that I am
At the top of my lungs
I'm giving it back
So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now you're my only hope

Friend Is A Friend
A FRIEND IS A FRIEND
WELL BEYOND THE END
BECAUSE A FRIEND
LIVES IN THE HEART
AND IN THE SOUL
WHICH TURNS INTO
SWEET MEMORIES
WHEN YOU FALL APART
AND LOOSE CONTROL
A FRIEND IS A FRIEND
WELL BEYOND THE END
BECAUSE A FRIEND
SHARE A GOOD CHEERS
THROUGH SADNESS AND TEARS
LETTING YOU KNOW
THAT YOU HAVE A FRIEND HERE
A FRIEND IS A FRIEND
WELL BEYOND THE END
BECAUSE A FRIEND IS THERE
THROUGH SORROW AND PAIN
LAUGHTER AND SMILES
BECAUSE AT ANYTIME
A FRIEND CAN BE THERE

A Tried Friend, A True Friend
A friend for you and a friend for me,
A friend to understand;
To cheer the way and help the day
With heart as well as hand:
With heart as well as hand, my dear,
And share the things we 've planned
A tried friend, a true friend,
A friend to understand!
A friend for you and a friend for me,
A friend to hear our call,
When, wrong or right, we wage the fight
With backs against the wall!
With backs against the wall, my dear,
When hope is like to fall
A tried friend, a true friend,
A friend to hear our call!
A friend for you and a friend for me,
To share with us that day
When our ship comes back and naught we lack
Of all for which men pray!
Of all for which men pray, my dear,
That long has gone astray
A tried friend, a true friend,
To share with us that day!
Oh, side by side, on roads untried,
Two souls may better speed
Than one who goes the road he knows
With none to give him heed!
With none to give him heed, my dear,
And help when there is need
A tried friend, a true friend,
A friend, a friend indeed!

Facelift Journey
waiting patiently
thou stranded with my tears of joy, listening
to the wave that invite
my dear soul to the abundant
of gracing wave of happiness
dear good heart of passion
help not dismay my
gorgeous sting of waiting, cascading the
fall of every rainbow of hope,
that someday success
will welcome the glad
tiding of flowering remembrance of great
fulfilling journey of existence
oh! mighty strength return
the birth that
I always pray, nay come in the middle of the
night for my eyes wanted
to pass in the closing
dark
bring me, where my heart
wants to breath, wanting my
soul may capture the last closing
dawn of Life...

Post Mortem.
When I have passed the bourne of ear and eye,
And thou my whereabouts no more canst tell;
When all I am is but a phantasy,
Seen in thy heart, to none else visible:
When haply slow time shall have faded then,
And thee too brought to thy departure here,
But call me in the spirit, and again
My soul, that was thy mate, shall answer, dear!
Then from the confines of that shadowy clime
As in a visionary light I'll come
To where, within the fading fields of time,
Thy soul waits mine, with whom to journey home
Till, with thy hand in mine, we take our way
Where all that we have been is ours for aye.

[Humanity] has unquestionably one really effective weapon - laughter. Power, money, persuasion, supplication, persecution - these can lift at a colossal humbug - push it a little - weaken it a little, century by century; but only laughter can blow it to rags and atoms at a blast. Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand.
