(No More) Love At Your Convenience

Your childish game is over now.
Lost your power over night some how.
Better see it ain't gonna be like it used to be.
No more love at your convenience.
No more love at your command.
No more love at your convenience.
Lots of time late at night, I really needed you.
I'm telling you tonight's the night.
Close your mouth
Turn off the light.
Pull me babe.
Pull me down closer on you.
No more love at your convenience.
No more love at your command.
No more love at your convenience.
Lots of time late at night, I really needed you.
I really needed you.
I really needed you.
No more love at your convenience.
No more love at your command.
No more love at your convenience.
Quit your tears and dry your eyes.
You know I hate to see you cry.
Don't you see,
Things gotta be what they got to.
No more love at your convenience.
No more love at your convenience.
No more love at your convenience.
No more love at your convenience.
No more love at your convenience.
No more love at your convenience

Convenience

Needing!
And again I am from you...
Addiction free.
What you provided was not love.
What you provided,
Was a convenience to me.
A convenience to have someone there.
To hear breathing the air.
As if the company kept...
Communicated with chemistry.

Needing!
And again I am from you...
Addiction free.
It occurred to me,
To you I was just something to do.
And that wasn't done,
Seriously.
Even together,
You preferred to play hide and seek.

And I discovered,
I want and need love.
And when you left that feeling stayed.
Then I knew what you gave,
Was not love.
But a game to be played.

Needing!
And again I am from you...
Addiction free.
What you provided was not love.
What you provided,
Was a convenience to me.
A convenience that eventually,
Faded.
After the quick and ease of preparation,
Left immediately upon its release.

Your Convenience At My Expense

Here!
I have decided it was easier for me,
To return this bucket with your miseries...
Than to keep you with beliefs,
You can come to me to add more to them...
At your convenience.
Well...
Your convenience at my expense,
Has ended.

We're not children here. The law is-how should I put it? A convenience. Or a convenience for some people, and an inconvenience for other people.

For the Sake of Convenience

For the sake of convenience, we ignore
The epidemic of impertinence.
We don't abnegate from what we adore
For the sake of convenience.

We are taught to be obsessed. We have been
Educated by a standardized test,
That insinuates choice cannot happen.
We are taught be obsessed.

We distract our weary minds with the news,
Believing a culture that is designed—
Culture to consume in a single-use.
We distract our weary minds.

We learn what we are told—that we must
Cover any fresh perspective with mold.
For the sake of convenience, we have trust.
We learn what we are told.

Do Whatever It is You Please

With love...
That's the only way I know.
With love...
That's the only way I know to show,
Who I am to you and what you mean to me.

With love...
I am not always going to agree with you.
With love...
I'm not always going to approve what you do.
Or give you a right of passage,
To send you in a direction that is wrong.
Or laugh when you have fallen on your...
Disasterous decisions.

With love...
That's the only way I know.
With love...
That's the only way I know to show,
Who I am to you and what you mean to me.

And if it is with attitude I am direct.
And you choose to dislike what I express,
That makes you upset.
Well...
Keep your delusions of who you believe,
I should be!
But my love is total.
I don't give to deceive.

And when I take my love away...
Do whatever it is you wish.
Do whatever it is you please.
You will get from me,
No love to find.
Or love to see.

I don't invest my time,
To have it played...
At anyone's convenience.

Do whatever it is you wish.
Do whatever it is you please.
You will get from me,
No love to find.
Or love to see.

A Metaphor For Love

love is not like the river
that moves on the banks of the mountains
seeking that
convenience of least resistance

love rushes in
like a flood that takes everything that it takes
and loses them
all to the big ocean

Dilemma

Whatever we do, whether we light
strangers’ cigarettes—it may turn out
to be a detective wanting to know who is free
with a light on a lonely street nights—
or whether we turn away and get a knife
planted between our shoulders for our discourtesy;
whatever we do—whether we marry for love
and wake up to find love is a task,
or whether for convenience to find love
must be won over, or we are desperate—
whatever we do; save by dying,
and there too we are caught,
by being planted too close to our parents.

Not a Convenience

A love wished has been found!
All restrictions are lifted.
Any sacrifices to keep it hidden,
Can no longer keep it mistakened!
It is real...
And so are the feelings connected.
There is no excuse to keep it denied!
Wherever you are when it appears...
You will welcome it!
And it will unleash a shared happiness!
This is love!
Not a convenience!

A Woman Forty Plus Aspires

I must be the centre of attention
And reaffirm my desirability.
I must feel validated as a woman
And re-experience the romance of love.
Let be burnt the ennui of monogamy.
Let come again the sexual excitement
That I went through at my first night.
Need not the man in focus be a prince,
An emperor nor a millionaire.
Let him be the one I want to be with,
In accordance with my safety,
Proximity and convenience.
Just for a ‘love you leave you alliance.’
Yes, I must waste no time to test my worth
And remain faithful with my husband.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Social Conditioning From Earliest Age

we care condition
our children
from earliest age

with sense perception

a baby behind tiny bars
or inescapable
walls of a bassinet cot

walls of a prison cot?

taken out put
back at our own
convenience

or lifted up with love?

time passes feeds
nappy changes
baths powders held

in loves welcome or?

a toddler behind bars
or walls of a play pen
a toddler given free range

conditioning individuality to conform

to condition to rules
social norms of society
control imposed for

parental convenience as

social acceptance
is imposed upon
unique individuality

constrained modeled into conformity

or control imposed
only for safety assurances
huge freedom given

to nurture grow confidence excel

Love Sometimes Goes Out Of The Window

when two mouths go hungry
when there is no glass
or water
when the house is empty
or when there is nothing
to even smell
when everything are but shadows
of a bat
when the only song is the song of
an earthworm
that you can hear only in your mind
there is no use of playing
games to delay
the flight of love out of the window.

love also needs a little convenience
such as a glass of orange juice
a slice of cake
and air that enters a room
to sleep

Solitude

Tim he was a good friend
Yea was a brother of mine
We were imaginary comic book superheroes
Kids wasting time
We were prisoners of our youth
We were growing up strong
til the day he was taken away
For something he did wrong
Tim came round just the other day
And boy he had some stories to tell
His mama kept him locked up in a rehab
Although the doctors said he was well
He said yeah I been through the anger
And the hatred towards my mom
And I put all that behind me
Just tell me what was it like to go to your prom
He said thank you mom for fixing
My clouded broken mind
But excuse me if I seem a little rude
While I was missing my childhood, my brother and my prime
You enjoyed the convenience of my solitude
Well growing up these days just aint easy
And the kids theyre doing the best that they can
So mama you better think twice
Before you lock your kid up and throw away the key
cause soon your little boy is gonna be a man
He said thank you mom for fixing
My clouded broken mind
But excuse me if I seem a little rude
While I was missing my childhood, my brother and my prime
You enjoyed the convenience of my solitude
Tim left town yesterday
He left me with these words
He said yeah I know this lifes got a lot to give
But my childhood is gone
And Im not afraid of dying
Im gonna grab the world by the horns and learn how to live
He said thank you mom for fixing
My clouded broken mind
But excuse me if I seem a little rude
While I was missing my childhood, my brother and my prime
You enjoyed the convenience of my solitude

Life Through My Eyes

If life were roses and candy kisses
What a wonderful world this could be
If everyone would smile at one another
The world would be smiling with us
But life is hard, no smiles or roses
Just pain, and no candy kisses
No love is really ever true
Just a convenience for me and you
Only wars and hate every where we look
There is no love, there is no care
The people are dying all around us
My time hasn't come, only god can decide
I'm still alive, because i haven't died!

Sleepwalking

I fell in love and
I needed a roadmap
To find out where you lived
So excited now
Sleepwalking, cuz Im sleepwalking
The white trash boys
Listen to the headphones
Blasting white noise
In the convenience store parking lot
I hung around there
Wasting my time
Hoping youll stop by
Cuz Im sleepwalking, Im sleepwalking
A mutual friends parents
Left town for a week
So we raided their liquor stash
And walked down by the riverside
Sleepwalking, cuz Im sleepwalking

Consequences Of The Dumb Lover

because of love
you are ousted from the palms of convenience

now you are alone in the house
for he comes only when he needs your flesh

pretty dumb, you are such a dumb damsel
native, non-eloquent,
not familiar to the guile & guises of love
and lust
you shall suffer i expect that
you shall be shedding tears alone on the confusing darkness
you hear the sounds of bad omen
the malevolent owl perched on a tree front of your window
at twelve

i could have laughed until morning
until i have seen you fetch the water again from the well
of true love

your eye sockets look like sunk ships
your veins dry up like creeks on drought

surprisingly, you move on
because you still love him after he slaps you because the fish
broth is too salty

when the lights are off
you become more alive again

More Of A Convenience

Time should never be the reason,
Why what is loved...
Needs more of it for someone to find.
If it's true and there to stay on one's mind.
Only to digress from expressing it to address,
When amongst friends who wine and dine.

Confused by what it is that fits,
To legitimize whenever the setting calls for it...
One can not admit exists,
Isn't love!
This is more of a convenience,
That seeks someone to permit its permanence.

Calculator

Turned on.
Punch in any number,
But before you do,
Let me insinuate some things to subtract, add, multiply, & divide.

First, add the years you've spent selling yourself like a Muslim marriage plan.

Second, subtract the dignity diminishing as each year goes by.

Third, divide the spermicide
Eating at your pride
You have no access to happiness

Divide the children pertinent to each man
Don't get too shocked now.
Gotta get to work.
Divide, divide, divide.

Fourth, multiply the times spent with your legs open
Like a 24-hour convenience store.

And what did you get?

A man's spermicide
Eating at your pride
Making babies like you're taking a shit
Subtracting your dignity
In addition to the years spent selling yourself like a Muslim marriage plan.
All of this - for a man's convenience.

Now I know why you hate math.

Since the Government Has Been Broken

My life,
Has never been a convenience.
It has been a strategic manuevering,
To avoid polarization.

There had been those who attempted,
To block my path with inventive obstacles.
Trying to convince my sense of self,
That my acceptance of who I am...
Was nothing more,
Than a self inflicted sham.

While others who believed I sought attention,
Did their best to ignore my intentions.
And used my skin color as some kind of bait.
To make me feel my fate,
Was in their hands to disintegrate.

Dysfunctions and my choice of interests,
Became for them a focus.
And today these criminal minded beings...
Stand on the edge of an abyss,
As if they are the choice of folks...
To brag about which destruction,
Everyone prefers the most!

My life,
Has never been a convenience.
It has been a strategic manuevering,
To avoid polarization.
Something the country we live in,
Seems not to be able to escape.
Since the government has been broken...
By self interest and debate.
